I would have to say that the media should be careful as to what they put in print as being factual. Before you say that you disagree with someone's religious views or make a mockery of them maybe you should go to the Word of God..the Bible and see what God has to say about the end times and other issues listed above. The Bible is the only truth we have anymore. I will pray for each of you and what you are trying to do. The pastor was not praying to witches as Jesus at the same time. He was rebuking witchcraft from being anywhere around Palin not in Palin. Learn something new some day and maybe give someone elses view a chance, especially when it is backed by the Bible.

@ Palin who? Better Palin than Obama. Palin has as much if not more experience to run this country than him. He has done what? Been a community organizer and been a senator for about two years most of which he's been running his presidential campaign? Pffft. As Gov. of Alaska Palin is privy to national security issues on a higher level than Obama or Biden because that is where the US missile defense system resides, don't believe me? Look it up. The national guard there is always on active duty because of this fact. So if McCain does pass during his presidency I would be a heck of a lot more confident in Palin's ability to run the country than Obama.

Yup! She surely sounds like one of those God-feasring individuals who founded our country. God love her for it!

  • Posted By: ffla @ 10/29/2008 10:47:07 AM

And this compares to the Rev. Wright. This pastor hates witches and Wright hates Americans

FOR ALL OF YOU THAT WISH THE MEDIA WOULD LEAVE HER RELIGIOUS BELIEFS ALONE, WHERE THE HECK WERE YOU WHEN THEY WERE TALKING ABOUT OBAMA'S RELIGION. POOR SARAH! IF SHE IS SO DANG TOUGH, THEN SHE SHOULD BE ABLE TO HANDLE ALL OF THIS... This is how the real world of politics are...HELLO!!!

  • Posted By: blackvyper @ 10/29/2008 10:46:36 AM

HOLD ON ON SEC i thought there was supost to be a seperation of church and state so who cares where she goes to church who cares what her belifs are this whole election is a joke STOP THE MUD SLINGING and people want to knwo why others dont vote lets talk about the real problems at hand not point fingers lets find ways to fix the problems

  • Posted By: Steveinwisconsin @ 10/29/2008 10:46:24 AM

Let's cut to the chase, better a tongue talker than a demon worshiper.

  • Posted By: the1atheist @ 10/29/2008 9:38:47 AM

Why are you so called Christians slinging mud? That isn't very Christian-like of you. Why do you think your religion is the only one in the world that is worth something? There are many religions in the world, and just because billions of people are not Christians, does that mean they are bad people? I think not. Our country was built on freedom of religion. You can have yours, and I have mine, which is no religion. Yes, I am an atheist. Does that mean I am a bad person? According the majority of the individuals who have posted here, you would say I was a bad person and that I am doomed. However, quite the opposite is true because I am the one responsible for my actions, behavior and destiny. I believe you people need God to believe in because you are not strong enough to take care of yourself and it is so easy asking for forgiveness. If that is the life you choose, so be it. Let's not cram it down the throats of others. Just like you have your freedom to spout off regarding things I don't believe in, I appreciate our country for giving me the freedom of spouting off at things that you don't believe in. Also, most of the posts I have read don't even have the facts straight, so let's get the facts straight before we post.

    • Posted By: iqdmt @ 10/29/2008 10:46:16 AM

No, you are not a bad person. Just somebody with an IQ point left. I don't have anything against Christians but the Christian radicals are as scarey as any terrorist and as extreme. It is even scarier that this one person will be in a very high office and could possibly hold the highest postition in the land. It would seem to me that the extremists do not believe in science and have closed minds and I am not willing to accepts this. Palin probably doesn't go anywhere without her cell phone and I know she uses a computer. According to the "Good Book" God made us in his image and likeness. I think maybe he gave us a brain to use in resourceful ways. Radicals tend to close their minds and hearts to new ideas. I does seem however that this new Christianity is the fashionable thing. I think of myself as a good person too and hopefully, not self rightous.

Christians are posting comments because this article misrepresents our beliefs. We are not "mud slinging". We are simply professing that Jesus is the Christ the Son of the Living God. He is our Lord and our Savior. 51% of born again Christians in the United States are charismatic. So, I would say that laying hands on others while praying for them is the usual in most chruches in the United States. The pastor in the clip was not evoking both witches and Jesus...he was rebuking witches and envoking Jesus. Big difference.

I think the prayers that were prayed for Governor Palin were pretty incredible. Just a few years ago she was an obscure hockey mom now she as a Christian candidate is on the ticket to be Vice-President of the United States. Sounds like a story in the Bible about a shepherd boy who became king. On the subject of Senator Obama I am happy he expressed his faith in Jesus Christ what I am concerned of is the hate toward America that his Pastor preached. All of our presidents have prayed and sought higher authority I trust whoever we elect will do the same. Mere man is not sufficient to handle the responsibility of President and I believe all past presidents would testify to that fact. I have not heard what faith Senator Mc Cain or Senator Biden believes if they have faith at all. Maybe the best ticket would be Palin /Obama. By the way Bill Clinton played saxophone in an Assembly of God Pentecostal Church and worshiped with the congregation and John Ashcroft our former Attorney General was Assembly of God.

I don't think she is trying to shove her faith on anyone. She attended a church service, someone taped it and posted it without her knowledge. That is not pushing her beliefs. I am tired of the media doing everything they can to ruin Sarah Palin.

  • Posted By: palmquka @ 10/29/2008 10:45:45 AM

What this article does not say is anything about Palin's connection to Joel's Army. Google it.

  • Posted By: communismisgreat @ 10/29/2008 10:35:58 AM

    For all you atheists,

I'll pay for your plane fare to any Middle East capital, if you stand in the public square and mock Islam the
way you all so weakly mock Christianity. Or, I'll fly you to Beijing, as long as you'll make fun of the communist government there the way you try to make fun of Christians here. Any takers? I thought not.

Sarah Palin, and other Christians are not your enemy. Wake up. Inform yourselves.

  • Posted By: sassycat08 @ 10/29/2008 10:45:40 AM

I am appalled at how the media is targeting Sarah Palin. We are suspose to be a Christian nation, founded on Christian principles that are in the bible. But because of media and other things going on, that is being taken away from us. She has every right for her church to lay hands on her, pray for her, anoint her with oil and rebuke any kind of demonic force that comes against her. She has every right to be who she is and shuld not be judged because of what she believes in. We need someone like her who will pray for this nation and who will look to God for what we need. That is how is should be. Look into OBama's beliefs, does he stand on what God has instructed us to do in the bible? Judge not, lest you be judged. That's bible.

If you understand in Kenya, they are terrified by witchcraft that is so prevelant in Kenya.....He came out to share and prayed with what he knows....Good grief you are pulling here to find junk in Palin. What about Obama....oh yeah he is a black man so if anything is said it would be racist. I could care less if a black man got into office or even a purple man as long as he has a clean background and not a scary one!!!!!

  • Posted By: RedViolets @ 10/29/2008 10:45:30 AM

I can't believe this article!!!!!!!!!!! What are Barack Hussein Obama II's religious beliefs?!?!?!

What are you writing any articles on Obama's church and former pastor. Rev. Wright spews hate, Anti Americanism and racial hatred. He is the far bigger story, but the liberal media has given him a free pass on his association with Rev. Wright, terrorist Bill Ayres, PLO -Rashid Khalidi, Tony Rezco.
Obama has actually working days in the US Senate of less 150 days. Sarah Palin has been a mayor and governor for years, she has more experience than Obama. Obama political/social associations with known terrorists and crooks are far more disturbing, but the liberal media has chosen to completely ignore these. Do your job report the news on all candidates without inserting your own political viewpoints and bias.

  • Posted By: Concerned American4686 @ 10/29/2008 10:27:11 AM

I love how in today's media it is alright to run stories about Palin's religious beliefs and her choice in clothing, neither of which have any bearing on the election, but I've yet to see one major news out-let ask anything about Obama's connections to Rev. Wright or his "possible" Muslim beliefs. Meanwhile almost every major network is set to run an Obama Oprah-esque talk show during prime-time. The media is not biased!?! What a load...

    • Posted By: expatMATT @ 10/29/2008 10:44:36 AM

Her religious beliefs affect her political choices.
Her clothing expenditures show at least a certain degree of corruption considering McCain himself pushed for reforms and specifically mentioned the fact that campaigns shouldn't be using their money for clothing, etc.
Obama's connections to Rev. Wright were beaten into the ground by the media when it first came to light. How much more do you need to hear about it?
His "possible " Muslim beliefs is a joke. He is not a Muslim and everyone, including Fox News and the McCain campaign recognizes this. Second of all, as Colin Powell so eloquently said, why should it matter if he WERE a Muslim? Seems like a little bit of religious intolerance on your part...
I always like the phrase: "The media has a liberal bias, because reality has a liberal bias".
      Wake up.

Ms Coyne and Ms Peng just don't get it. Once angain the east cost media has very little knowledge of where most of middle America is. Throughout most of middle America there are hundreds of Churches who believe that God is in control of this universe and that there are evil forces at work. It once again shows how out of touch many on the east cost and west cost are out of touch with were most of America lives. The Evangelical Theology is not new it has been around for about 2000 years. It would do one good to look at the history of this country and see that what we believe today is also what many of the our founding fathers believed.
As a side note: The Ladder Day Saints are not a Christian denomanation. To be a Christian denomanation you must believe that Jesus Christ is the ONLY Son of God and that His death was for our redemption and ONLY way to Heaven

    • Posted By: pg4239 @ 10/29/2008 10:21:49 AM

the only evil forces now at work in america are YOU, the so-called christians... jesus would never do as you do. he probably would vote for obama if he was here today. tolerance, charity ( aka spread the wealth ) and forgiveness were more inline with his philosophies.

      • Posted By: MeLizzard2 @ 10/29/2008 10:30:43 AM

Spead the wealth? Christ never took anyone's resources (that was Robin Hood, I believe) to, forcing them to give to others. He's the original arbiter of free will, and not a socialist. Also, he thought that killing is bad so, I'll bet that abortion messs with Obama would eliminate any desire to vote for said candidate.

      • Posted By: MeLizzard2 @ 10/29/2008 10:32:08 AM

Oh, and the Obama thugocracy has on multiple occasions been suspected of trying to silence anyone who disagrees with it--some tolerance!

When is Newsweek going to do a segment on Obama's religous beliefs, or are we not allowed to talk about that? Further, Newsweek, I want you to give equal secrutiny to Obama's citizenship status, and background, since after all, he is running for president. Again, are we not allowed to know those things? Step up and do some balanced reporting and stop sounding like a left wing shill.
