Larry King Live: A Panel discusses John mcCain's [450,000 $ ] Donation to Khalidi

Notice how Michael Medved has nothing to say about John McCain's [450,000 $ Grant] to Khalidi..

Medved says he does'nt know about the [450,000 $] donation, Paul Begala tells Medved...

"Joe Lieberman, it tell you about that"

A Grant that is shown on Mccain's IRS form as a Donation !!!

So War Hero John McCain Financially Supported a Anti-Israeli Government and Terrorist to the tune of 450,000 $ an it has been Substantiated by IRS Documents as a Donation.

Micahel Medved is Furious over Obama's acquaintence with Khalidi who often disagreed with one another.

Intellectuals consist of people who agree and disagree on subjects, such as Khalidi and Obama.

But had Obama gave [450,000 $] like John McCain, it would be.... BIG ASS NEWS !

John "Viet Nam War Hero" McCain.....

Explain your IRS Accounted for 450,000 $ Donation to Khalidi...

You can't Explain it and you'd be Stupid to do so.

You, Joe Lie-Per Man, Sean hannity, Bill O'Reily and Rush Limbaugh can't explain it either.

This was something that should've been left... ALONE !!!

Oh what a Deadly Web we WEAVE, when we Practice to........ DECIEVE !!!

AP, you sling this witchcraft thing around with ease.... but aren't you one of the lefties that bow up like an old alley cat when anyone mentions the possibility of Obama being a Muslim?

Calm down and re read my post. I didn't say he was. My point is that this article as well as some of the posters label Palin a witch, but just like you, they bow up with a "I dare ya.... I just dare ya, prove Obama is Muslim!" statement. Hypocritical at best.

Always nice for you libs to have it both ways though.

This article does not label Palin as a witch. She labeled herself by attending services and participating in that witch removal ritual nonsense.

Vypurr, your comment above was comparing Palin's witchcraft nonsense which she does practice, to Obama being accused of being Muslim. What did I miss?

Pia... c'mon, she was blessed by some nut in ceremony in Kenya once! That's like saying Obama is a Muslim because his parents registered him and listed his religion as Islam when he six years old in Indonesia. I don't think Obama is a Muslim any more than I think Palin dons a headdress and dances around a fire at night.

                  • Posted By: Pia1981 @ 10/30/2008 7:58:56 PM

Vypurr, Muslim is a culture/religion and witchcraft is a bunch of nonsense. Why use the two for comparison in this argument at all? Btw, what color is your Viper? red?

Also, there's nothing wrong with a vice president that believes in witches?

1600 AD wants its candidate back.

Yeah. There's nothing strange about witch hunter, demon destroyers, wealth prayers in the pews. And Christians will save the world from non-believers and should run the country. This is a Christian country dammit! Oh. Excuse me. And we need to stop those Christian Muslims churchy, black lovers too. They're not like the rest of us.

  • Posted By: AmericanLu @ 10/31/2008 1:52:35 AM

I think Palin has a right to believe the way she chooses . Everyone advances at a different pace and has a different way to express their love of God. It is reflected in the many gifts. No one is the same and it is what makes Christianity so successful. Her religion should be left alone. Some parts of our lives should be held sacred . Children and religion.

For the past two months, a major American magazine and an allied news...

    http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2008/10/28/mccain-funded-work-of-pal_n_138606.html

McCain Financially supporterd Khalidi and is now trying to tie Obama to Khalidi, though McCain himself was Closely tied to the Palestenian and backed him withover 400,000 $$$
    ------------------------------------

The McCain camp gambit comes after conservative writers have repeatedly pressed for media outlets to write about the rather tenuous connections between Obama and Khalidi, an outspoken advocate for Palestinian rights.

Specifically, National Review writers want much more attention paid to the association, given that the LA Times has reported that Khalidi lavished praise on Obama at a farewell party in Chicago at which Bill Ayers was also present. (Other writers have accused Khalidi of being an aide to Yasser Arafat, a claim which Marc Ambinder and Ari Berman have suggested is not credible.)

In regards to Khalidi, however, the guilt-by-association game burns John McCain as well.

During the 1990s, while he served as chairman of the International Republican Institute (IRI), McCain distributed several grants to the Palestinian research center co-founded by Khalidi, including one worth half a million dollars.

Big Note: A 1998 tax filing for the McCain-led group shows a $448,873 grant to Khalidi's Center for Palestine Research and Studies for work in the West Bank. (See grant number 5180, "West Bank: CPRS" on page 14 of this PDF.)

The relationship extends back as far as 1993, when John McCain joined IRI as chairman in January. Foreign Affairs noted in September of that year that IRI had helped fund several extensive studies in Palestine run by Khalidi's group, including over 30 public opinion polls and a study of "sociopolitical attitudes."

Of course, there's seemingly nothing objectionable with McCain's organization helping a Palestinian group conduct research in the West Bank or Gaza. But it does suggest that McCain could have some of his own explaining to do as he tries to make hay out of Khalidi's ties to Obama.

      * This is the cause that McCain contributed to for which Rashid Khalidi was a part of its founding (he had no other part of Khalidi other than contributing to a good cause based on my research so far):

CENTER FOR PALESTINE RESEARCH AND STUDIES (CPRS):
The important task of nation-building requires special attention to the creation and role of national institutions. Of special concern to CPRS is the development of Palestinian political and economic institutions and systems which can fully address issues of democracy, diversity, women, and human rights. CPRS surveys Palestinian public opinion in terms of how it reflects political and social forces in society to help foster forums for public expression of views. Other issues of concern include Palestinian resistance to occupation, the future of Jerusalem, and the return and the integration of refugees into the Palestinian entity. http://web.archive.org/web/19980523120207/http:/www.cprs-palestine.org/

      * This is the organization (which Rashid Khalidi founded) that Obama (and Bill Ayers) - when Director on the Woods Fund (WF) board - gave contributions to thru WF where the two worked (their client) and who were both were friends with and socialized with on a regular basis:

Arab American Action Network (AAAN): Supports EXPANDED RIGHTS for ILLEGAL ALIENS. (Such a great cause, Obama and Ayers. Liberal radicals. . .ya think?).

It was founded by Rashid Khalidi.
Among the current luminaries of AAANs staff are: (a) Vice President Ali Abunimah, who maintains the website ElectroicIntifada.com and is a Board member of the Sabeel Ecumenical Liberation Theology Center; and (b) Executive Director Hatem Abudayyeh, who has CONDEMNED THE ISRAELI GOVERNMENT and its military killing machine.

OBAMA attended a dinner event where anti-sematic speeches took place. The reason why people would like to see the LA TIMES video they supposedly have in their hands. Even if it doesnt get released, it sounds like it is enough to keep talking abouot this subject to raise controversy which can only help McCain.

All told, 59 percent of voters surveyed said Ms. Palin was not prepared for the job, up nine percentage points since the beginning of the month. Nearly a third of voters polled said the vice-presidential selection would be a major factor influencing their vote for president, and those voters broadly favor Senator Barack Obama, the Democratic nominee.

OBAMA PUFFS UP HIS LEGISLATIVE ACCOMPLISHMENTS IN HIS COUNTRY I LOVE AD:

In Obamas first ad (Country I Love) he goes on to tout his legislative accomplishments - claims that do not stand up that well under scrutiny. In order to establish his bona fides as a POLITICIAN WHO CARES about WORKING FAMILIES, Obama CITES his success with THREE RELEVANT bills. But he does not mention that TWO of the three pieces of legislation WERE ACTUALLY PASSED by the ILLINOIS SENATE, NOT the U.S. Senate. Obamas campaign tells us that when he says:

I passed laws moving people from welfare to work, he is referring to the bill

    http://www.ilga.gov/legislation/legisnet90/summary/900HB0204.html

that created Illinois Temporary Assistance for Needy Families program in 1997. (But) Obama was ONE OF FIVE ORIGINAL SPONSORS of the bill, which set limits on public assistance and required welfare recipients to outline plans for moving into the workforce. The LAW that CUT TAXES for working FAMILIES is a 2000 bill

    http://www.ilga.gov/legislation/legisnet91/summary/910HB3939.html

on which Obama AND 35 OTHERS were LATER ADDED as COSPONSORS, instituting an earned income-tax credit for the state. BOTH BILLS affected ONLY ILLINOIS RESIDENTS.

The ONLY NATIONAL LAW in Obamas ad is the ONE THAT EXTENDED HEALTH CARE for wounded troops, and ITS DUBIOUS WHETHER he [OBAMA] can claim full responsibility for that one.

    H.R. 4986, http://thomas.loc.gov/cgi-bin/bdquery/z?d110:HR04986:|TOM:/bss/d110query.html|

which became public law 110-181 in 2008 http://frwebgate.access.gpo.gov/cgi-bin/getdoc.cgi?dbname=110_cong_public_laws&docid=f:publ181.110.pdf

. . . . includes provisions from several Obama sponsored bills. His ideas made it into law, but OBAMA was NOT a SPONSOR or CO-SPONSOR of H.R. 4986 itself.

Finally, it has always been our position that it is MISLEADING when a member of a legislative body says that he or she PASSED A LAW, CUT TAXES or makes any SIMILAR CLAIM TO SINGLE-HANDED LAWMAKING. It takes more than one legislator to get these things done. In addition to the sponsors and the cosponsors, sometimes dozens of them, the bill needs the support of a majority in both houses. Usually, a governor or president needs to then sign a bill into law, unless the legislature comes up with a veto-proof majority.
So for OBAMA to say that he passed a law casts him as a legislative Lone Ranger, HOGGING CREDIT THAT PROPERLY BELONGS TO OTHER PARTIES AS WELL.

That repeated mantra of McCain = Bush, gosh darn it, just aint working. If it was working, Obama would be soaring in the polls by 20+% or more (especially with the economy on top of that) - but instead we are seeing that the polls are starting to narrow up again. But then, given the MainStreamMedia in the tank for Obama, the only poll I will believe is the one on Nov. 4th.

        • Posted By: Conservative-Liberal @ 10/30/2008 11:02:06 PM

I agree 100% on the poll comment ... AND I commend you for using the .gov sites ... which is why I said to look for yourself on how McCain voted ... wasn't talking about polls or political ads ... personally, I can't wait until Nov 5 so we don't have to see them anymore ... btw, mid-August, I was real close to voting for McCain, said the only way I wouldn't would be if he chose Ridge as his running mate ... then by mid-September, after doing some research on Palin, I discovered there was another running mate he could choose that would quickly sway me away from him.

???Never before in this country has a government fallen so low to a place in popular estimation or been so universally an object of cynical contempt. Never before has a (president) given his name so freely to latrines and offal dumps, or had his face banished from the cinema screen to avoid the hoots and jeers of children.???

"This is more then a political campaign. It is a call to arms. Give me your help, not to win votes alone, but to win this crusade to restore America???I am waging a war against destruction, delay, deceit and despair.???

THE FIRST QUOTE WAS BY A POLITCAL COMMENTATOR IN 1932.

THE SECOND WAS BY PRESIDENT FRANKLIN ROOSEVELT IN 1932.

Is this not where the United States stands today? SEEM A LOT LIKE 1932.

For those of you who think defend Obama and call him being a "Christian too" - well, you know what, the Bible NEVER talks about black liberation theology in its 66 books. This philosophy only tries to use passages from the Bible to defend itself, but the real Bible is AGAINST such segregation. Yet Obama joined this church of Reverend Wright possibly mainly because he believes in black liberation. But if Obama were a true, practicing Christian, there are things that he says which a true Christian would not be able to utter, e.g. regarding other religions, other "gods," or this perpetuation of blacks being under the feet of whites. And of course, he wouldn't be supporting abortion, or fornication. He would also have better JUDGMENT when it comes to the people he's associated with.

Of course we must continue with Sarah's wardrobe, hair and makeup..after all, it did cost close to 200K for that makeover. The rumor is the makeover (which she didn't need, she looked fine to me) really cost 300K without the hair and makeup. • Posted By: Pia1981 @ 10/30/2008 8:02:18 PM

Oh really? What of McCain's pastors, Hagee who hates Catholics and Parsley who believes that the govt. is responsible for killing 1,500 babies a day through abortion?

            • Posted By: Vypurr @ 10/30/2008 10:48:17 PM

No, Pia. It's your candidate that supports abortion and infanticide. If Pia is your given name, (isn't Pia "Pious" in Italian?) that would make you a Catholic... why would you support a man who supports infanticide?

"I have noticed that everyone who supports abortion has already been born." -- Ronald Reagan.

              • Posted By: Pia1981 @ 10/30/2008 11:08:44 PM

Yes Pia is my given name, yes, after Pope Pious and yes, I am Catholic and pro-life. I don't believe Obama supports Infanticide. I don't care how many times Loriw posted that, it's not true.

                • Posted By: Vypurr @ 10/30/2008 11:54:00 PM

Pia, this has nothing to do with Lori's posts. Obama opposed and voted twice against the act in 2001 and 2002.

Factcheck states: "Obama's critics are free to speculate on his motives for voting against the bills, and postulate a lack of concern for babies' welfare. But his stated reasons for opposing "born-alive" bills have to do with preserving abortion rights, a position he is known to support and has never hidden."

He voted against it, Pia. Twice.

Not on Newsweek or the MSM. Other than casual reporting, the only place you heard it was either from a conservative news source that would not overlook it, or from other bloggers for the same reason. You would never hear ABC, CBS or NBC reporting anything that could potentially hurt Obama.

            • Posted By: Pia1981 @ 10/30/2008 2:53:50 PM

It was on Newsweek. I know what I read, I have been here since Feb.

              • Posted By: Vypurr @ 10/30/2008 3:26:32 PM

Yes, I read it too. One was written about Wright not long ago... I have the link if you'd like. The title was something like "Why McCain won't bring up the Rev. Wright." Not exactly what you'd call anti Obama, now is it? In fact, most articles here about Obama now are about how he can keep his lead or about how far ahead he is. Nothing that could actually hurt him.

You know Pia, it's okay to say that NW and other MSM support Obama... It's pretty common knowledge.

BTW, several of us on the right have been banned here for saying no more that some have on the extreme left. One in particular you didn't care for.

I'm surprised I've lasted as long as I have.

                • Posted By: Pia1981 @ 10/30/2008 3:52:16 PM

I have read the Why McCain won't bring up Wright several times..dont need to..thank you for the link offer anyway.

Vypurr, you know that Obama has been raked over the coals since the primaries..you just want that old stuff back out with the hope that it will help McCain. McCain and camp have already launched serious attacks against O all month and it has only damaged his own campaign. The people are not concerned about that . Th epeople have decided this.. what else do you want?

Now, who is the poster I do not care for? I can't think of who it would be unless it was the one who personally attacked me when he hit on me and I asked him to stop. Are you saying the poster was banned? If so, I had nothing to do with whoever it is. Also, why would we want to ban you?

                  • Posted By: Vypurr @ 10/30/2008 5:08:46 PM

Pia, Obama has not been raked over the coals by Newsweek articles or any other mainstream media! The McCain bloggers, and the McCain camp, yes! But please, show me even one article here on NW where the liberal writers/supporters have been critical of him? Maybe once in a while in a mild form, but I have never seen them write anything that could really hurt Obama.

I don't think you or anyone else here (I think I'm certain of this) have anything to do with people that have been banned here. I would think NW makes those decisions on their own. The person I mentioned is a woman, not a man. And me? Just a feeling... but it's based on me getting into some very ugly fights here that were worse than some of the people here have been bounced for.

Anyway, all this will be over in a few days.

                    • Posted By: Pia1981 @ 10/30/2008 8:13:08 PM

Vypurr, Fox News has raked Obama over the coals since the primaries and continues to do so. Newsweek raked Obama over the coals every time they posted the negative articles about him which we have all been reading since the primaires. About McCain and his supporters- Which MS attacks? Any proof of Newsweek doing it?

Posters being banned- I'm sorry that happened to whoever it was.. As Doc Howl said, perhaps it was too much spamming..that makes it difficult to scroll with so much cut and paste. Whatever the reason, not to worry, it won't happen to you. I haven't seen any posts of major fights you have been in.

Yes, only a few more days until the election, however the outcome, I will continue to post here. I'm sure it will be interesting. Hope to 'see' you here.

We'll have to disagree on the Newsweek articles on Obama and leave it at that.

I'm glad you'll return here after the 4th either way. I probably won't. If McCain wins, I won't need to gloat. If Obama wins, I won't want to watch people like Harley and neos write endless I told you so's.

At any rate, you seem to be a delightful girl... Sorry you've had trouble with Librans... you mentioned they're heart breakers.. I think I've heard Aquarians and Scorpios are very nice!

Too bad you have decided not to continue on Newsweek. I don't think Harley and neos will be obnoxious if Obama wins. I will make sure of it. Harley does listen to my input.

Libras and Scorpios are not a good match.

You are delightful too..good luck to you too. It has been a learning experience blogging with you.

Hey, a Rep admitting they were even written - you've taken your first steps out of the weeds.
All day every day - and extremist still throwing everything into the pot today.

          • Posted By: Vypurr @ 10/30/2008 3:59:03 PM

I never said they weren't written, but anyone with half a brain can see that the MSM are biased.

Are you telling me the mainstream media (CBS, NBC, ABC, Time, Newsweek, CNN, MSNBC, and most ot the major newpapers like the LA and NY Times) are not biased toward Barack Obama?

            • Posted By: AskPlus @ 10/30/2008 4:26:11 PM

Of course they're biased. The Rep ticket is the butt of jokes around the world. Two German papers want to see how dumb the US really is, and hope to see the Palin/McCain ticket (as she likes to call it) win, just to have more fodder. One papers headline was - directly translated - "End of a Superpower" and had a picture of Palin.

              • Posted By: Vypurr @ 10/30/2008 6:08:54 PM

Convenient. Clinton asked the Germans and the rest of Europe what they thought, and he caved to European opinion and did nothing when we got our asses kicked by Al Qaeda. While you and other libs were comfortable with that arrangement, (like Kerry, you probably thought terrorism was a "nucience") I and many other Americans were not. The fact is, they didn't care if we were being attacked, they only care if they are being attacked. Can you imagine how much they will hate us if we don't come to their aid if they're threatened or attacked? Or are you one of these people that think the only time our nation can go to war is when a democrat is in power?

All of that said, please Askplus, ask me how much I care what the Germans think...

      • Posted By: AskPlus @ 10/30/2008 12:25:04 PM

I think they "miss" it when it's practical. They should ask themselves the question: Who was the only candidate to get the kitchen, bathroom and basement sinks thrown at them this election? And it was done by Ms. Clinton and McCain. The conservatives should be happy to know he can take a few punches and stand back up. It's called fortitude. And did you see is 30-minute commercial - he was looking ...presidential.

        • Posted By: Pia1981 @ 10/30/2008 2:02:21 PM

What you won't hear from this campaign or this party is the kind of politics that uses religion as a wedge, and patriotism as a bludgeon -- that sees our opponents not as competitors to challenge, but enemies to demonize." ??? Barack Obama, June 3, 2008

    • Posted By: sharenews @ 10/30/2008 11:43:54 PM

Right. . . . Obama can say that all he wants but the real deal is he and his campaign have the MainStreamMedia doing it for him as this article (I say that loosely) is doing. That has been his tactics from the get go - rebel about such actions but let all of his extensions (MSM in this case) do it for him.
      Saul Alinsky tactic (google him).

  • Posted By: scooterbug @ 10/30/2008 9:40:13 PM

If OBama were to walk down my street, I would have the following comments and question for him:
I had to take and pass a drug test to be employeed, and earn money. Obama is saying redistribution of wealth to others not working and likley not even a citizen of the United States. If he is going take even more of my hard earned money and give to those who don't want to work or not even suppose to be here, I want them to take a drug test too. If they fail the test, they're not entitled to receive my money. I couldn't earn it if I failed my drug test. Seems fair...huh Obama??

    • Posted By: Omaar @ 10/30/2008 10:56:37 PM

The drug test should start with YOU

      Then President Bush

Then Sarah Palin's [Medical Records] that she claimed she would release by Midweek

At least Obama told on himself, opposed to GW Bush's LIES about his National Passtime..

You did'nt care for 8 yrs. whether GW Bush used Cocaine & Crack...

But it is of interest as to Obama..Huh

i wonder what Palin has been Tootin or what has been Prescribed by her Doctor...

As well as that Mongoloid Child of her's

      • Posted By: Conservative-Liberal @ 10/30/2008 11:43:04 PM

Forgot to mention, the comment about her child was low ... real low. Her son's problem is one that happens, doesn't need to have been anything done by the parent to cause.

      • Posted By: Conservative-Liberal @ 10/30/2008 11:40:31 PM

Hmmm, never thought about this in regards to Palin ... after all, she did grow up in Alaska during the time marijuana was decriminalized to being less than littering, actually I'm pretty sure it was legal to grow your own there for a while, just enough for "personal consumption," ... mid to late 70's on into the 80's.... about the time she was in high school, getting ready for college, those years known for "experimentation. Considering one must be at least 45 years of age to run for president, I think I'd be more concerned about electing someone who grew up during that period and claimed they didn't try something than someone who would admit to past use.

    • Posted By: Conservative-Liberal @ 10/30/2008 10:00:29 PM

First of all .... the "reditribution" is not meant for those not working, and definitely not non-citizens ... go look it up and read it for yourself, stop being spoon-fed what to believe ... and try to come up with an original idea, this idea has been circulating since back during the Reagan years ... and how about we try his notion of the work-fare program? He never did it, when Clinton did it, funny how all republicans suddenly decided it was a horrible thing ... personally, as a liberal and democrat, I think its a great idea ... if an "able-bodied person" is receiving public assistance (welfare, for the undereducated among us) make them work for it, not only do they provide a service for the money they're receiving, they're also getting training and a work history to help them find more gainful employment ... no work, no money ... what ya think?

      • Posted By: Vypurr @ 10/30/2008 11:21:40 PM

Actually, I have no trouble helping people that can't help themselves. It's the people working that you're referring to that bother me. Libs have an obsession with giving money away that other people have earned to people that haven't earned it. Why do you want to do that?

      • Posted By: Pia1981 @ 10/30/2008 10:15:03 PM

    • Posted By: Pia1981 @ 10/30/2008 10:09:04 PM

scooterbug, although I am an Obama supporter, you comments have me laughing. Very cute and funny and I mean that in a nonoffensive way. Imagine how many drug tests would be going on if you got your way.

      • Posted By: scooterbug @ 10/30/2008 10:31:45 PM

Each employee has to take and pass it...often times with random follow up exams. Does the thought of so many taking and failing the tests scare you. Does the thought of people accepting responsibility for their actions scare you? Maybe it would encouage more to actually work for themselves rather than wondering when and how the next handout will arrive.

        • Posted By: Conservative-Liberal @ 10/30/2008 10:42:11 PM

Whoa ... lighten up Francis ... believe it or not, we were agreeing with you ... that's one of the big differences between democrats and republicans .. a democrat can read an idea and think "that's pretty good" regardless of who said it .. BUT as soon as a republican realizes they're looking at something from a democrat, they automatically go on the defensive and attack ... lol

I am a redneck and like most WingNuts, I find Sarah very appealing in many ways. She is very attractive and seems like a fun person to hang out with, before she had all the kids anyway. She is appears very strong I wouldn???t minding having her at my back if I was in a bar room brawl. The main problem I have with Sarah is her religion. It's true that I despise any form of organized religion because of the hypocrisy. I grew up attending the same type of church as Sarah and I'll tell ya, it was a terrifying experience.

If you have never been to a Pentecostal Church of God, you really should check it out. Take a bag of popcorn, sit in the back row and enjoy yourself. That's if you like to be scared. But people believe in a lot of crazy things, so live and let live I always say.

Back to Sarah, A real MILF and I respect that. I just can???t see her in any situation that requires a lot of deep thinking or where her decisions would impact anyone outside of her own family.

Good luck Sarah, I'm betting that you wish that you had stayed in Alaska. You had it made and everybody loved you. I hope that you are able to find that place again.

    BUSHES LITTLE SIDEKICK
I follow an economist named Bob Proctor. He has called the top and bottom of every market crash since the 70s correctly.
He perfectly predicted the current meltdown and the picture he paints about what will happen next
is terrifying. He thinks it will be worse then the great depression.
The banks in the U.S. are going under one after the other. Countrywide ,Bear Stearns, Lehman Brothers and Merrill Lynch , Fanny and Freddy Mae ,AIG
The government took them over because they are bankrupt. Even with the goverment nationalizing hundreds of billions of dollars in debt the stock market is crashing
the credit markets are frozen and all of us may suffer beyond anything seen in generations
McCain just like Bush " doesn't understand the economy".
That not just my opinion its his own words. Not only does he not understand how to fix it but he does not understand how its been broken.
It is no surprise that he doesn't. The people that make up these securities use quantum mathematical models very few people understand.
Bush and McCain both can take the credit for this mess since they helped deregulate the laws that were protecting us.
Bush's economic advisor Phil Graham wrote the deregulation bill that allowed banks to take huge risks with all of our future.
Now, Phil Graham is the head of McCain's economic policy. He is also McCain's choice for the next secretary of the treasury.
No one in this country can afford for that to happen. . Phil Graham had the guts to say that we are in a mental recession after he helped create the worst economy meltdown in our lifetime. Check out this link to the truth http://my.barackobama.com/keatingvideo
It will take the best and brightest minds in the world to get us out of this nightmare. As bad as Bush has done, McCain would be
even more destructive because things are in much worse shape. The next president will not inherit a budget surplus like Bush did but a crashing economy and a 11,600,000,000,000 (trillion) dollars deficit. Most of it Bush created and it will take decades to pay it back.
If you do what you have always done then you will get what you have always got.
When it comes to policy Bush and McCain are the same 90 percent of the time.
If you are tired of going back instead of forward hold them accountable this time
This is our last chance to cushion the impact of of a economic meteor.
If mccain cant use a computer even to send email do you really hes qualified to run our country during a depression
Your common sense knows the answer

Bush may not be on the ballot this year but his policies are
You can have more of the same our we can turn the page NOW
    Elect Obama Biden 2008

I'm watching 'Witches' on Bio right now. It is a very serious, somewhat academic examination of witches in American Culture. Perhaps the authors would like to learn something at Bio.com

Sounds good...thanks. Your post made me get out my witche's book..have not read it in a while.

So glad to see that Newsweek has no bias (sarcasm). Here's a few articles I suggest for future Newsweek articles:

    1) How does it make you feel when you get a "thrill up your leg"?
    2) Obama's farts smell like perfume.
    3) Newsweek execs bow to worship Sultan Obama
    4) Obama: The spotless Lamb
    5) Understanding your role in Obama's fish tank
    6) Obama is an Aphrodisiac
    7) Obama extends his hand: Stops global warming
    8) Butterflies and doves flutter over Obama's every move

Very tasteless..I had no idea Reps could be so crass even though I was once one myself. Glad I got out. Phew!

      • Posted By: JJMizzou @ 10/30/2008 9:26:32 PM

Why is Pia criticizing anyone for being tasteless? I'm assuming that you just skip over your postings on here then.

        • Posted By: Pia1981 @ 10/30/2008 9:37:32 PM

JJ ( may I call you JJ?) I am critizing your comments because it is freedom of speech. You are criticizing my comments for the same reason. I apologize if I offended you. I really wanted to post "cute but tasteless" but did not because I am an Obama supporter.

      • Posted By: Vypurr @ 10/30/2008 3:52:56 PM

Don't think for a second dems can't be classless.

        • Posted By: Pia1981 @ 10/30/2008 4:05:20 PM

Vypurr, I am certain Dems can be just as crass but I am not thinking about the Dems right now, my comment was only for this tasteless post here. Why is it that everything has to be a contest anyway?

          • Posted By: Vypurr @ 10/30/2008 4:42:36 PM

I would not have commented on this had I not seen the "glad I got out" part of your post. It looks like you think everyone who belongs to the rep party is tasteless, which they are not.

            • Posted By: Pia1981 @ 10/30/2008 5:42:31 PM

Of course not all Reps are tasteless...in fact most of the men I have dated are Reps..therefore they do have good taste, they chose me!

      JEALOUS MUCH? OBVIOUSLY YES!!!!!

    • Posted By: AskPlus @ 10/30/2008 12:46:21 PM

Of course you're right. Now lets talk about McCain's economic and health care plans. Forget that they have been laughed at by every financial institution that has read them. Then, we can talk about his transition plan, and do a compare and contrast with Obama's. That's provided he has a transition plan. Then we can talk about the war - where is it anyway somewhere on the border of Florida and Poland right? And of course we can talk about what McCain will do when those Russian rear their heads. Then we can talk about why McCain and Palin do not want to talk to either friend or foe. But, of course we can get back to why a center-left periodical writes more stories against the right. Are there any center-right mags? Perhaps you'd be more happy there.

Yeah, you guys crack me up! Ya'll all sittin in a round room, arguing over who is in the right corner...

A vote fo the lesser of two evils is still a vote FOR evil.

The media will present this presidential race, on average, a tie so that we accept the courts ruling on the winner.

Sit tight untill after the elections, sure go and vote for someone. Go home afterwards and gloat over your patriotism, then wake up tomorrow in the same place you went to sleep.

The power will shift only cosmetically as the Fed drops financial bombs.

Conservitism at all times is the correct stance, yet global warmings = carbon credits = global taxes, to fund the global government.

Corporations now dwarf most governments, and its us against the bankers (and their private enforcers).

Go ahead, ya'll quibble over Longshanks table scraps, divided = conrtollable.

Our economic system is not hard to understand, just hard to believe... cause we can't invent money when we need it.

On the bright side, it's truly awesome to live in America!!!!!

Oh, and my wife, Julie Winebox says hi.

Dems harp on Palin's daughter getting pregnant, yet Barack Obama's mother was 17 when she gave birth to him. YET ANOTHER DEMOCRATIC DOUBLE STANDARD

    • Posted By: FlyingScot @ 10/29/2008 11:27:04 PM

Let's assume for a moment that Mrs Obama was 17, hell, let's pretend she was 15. Obama does not preach abstinence only contraception, and thus is not being a hypocrite. Palin, on the other hand, does. Yet both her and her daughter seem to have been magically impregnated by the baby fairy prior to marriage. Where is your double standard now?

      • Posted By: paproudmom @ 10/30/2008 8:37:19 AM

When you advocate for a moral point of view it does not mean that you will never make a mistake. Since humans are not perfect they will slip up. The point is to strive to be the best you can be. It is not to give up and set no standards for yourself or others because you or them may not always measure up. I have heard this argued before and this is always the point that is missed. Christians are not nor ever will they be perfect.

        • Posted By: Pia1981 @ 10/30/2008 9:38:17 AM

Palin's mistakes keep getting repeated. She preaches family values, yet does not live by them herself. Hypocrite.

          • Posted By: AzraelDarkAngel540 @ 10/30/2008 1:20:23 PM

While I don't like Palin's views I can't blame her if her daughter gets pregnant...

            • Posted By: Vypurr @ 10/30/2008 8:56:28 PM

What a liberal, close minded dumb sh!t.

          • Posted By: paproudmom @ 10/30/2008 12:08:19 PM

You obviously did not understand my point.

    • Posted By: Nins @ 10/29/2008 10:44:25 PM

Obama's mother was married and in her third year of college when she gave birth to Barack. Therefore, she was probably 21, and certainly not 17 years old.

Furthermore, Plain herself was pregnant before she got married, now her teen daughter is pregnant too. I don't judge either of them for it, but I think it's pretty cynical for Sarah to hold herself up as a model of abstinence when her own house is burning down.

Here are some witches for you. Obama says his campaign has no ties to Acorn ya say?

US News & World Report :

"Former ACORN Employee Says Obama Provided Donor List
The Pittsburgh Tribune-Review reports, "A fired staffer for an affiliate of" ACORN "testified Wednesday the organization was provided a 'donor list' from" Obama's campaign "in late 2007 for fundraising efforts. Anita Moncrief, a former Washington staffer for Project Vote, which she described as a sister organization of...ACORN, said her supervisor told her the list of campaign contributors came from the Obama campaign." The Philadelphia Inquirer adds Moncrief "gave a scathing, though at times vague, assessment of ACORN and its efforts to go into battleground states and help mostly minorities and the poor register to vote for the first time. The group, she said, barely trained its workers in how to register voters properly, and would fire employees if they did not meet a quota of 20 new voter applicants daily."

    http://www.usnews.com/usnews/politics/bulletin/bulletin_081030.htm

Obama in this video is campaigning at a convention of Acorn and I believe two other Community Activist's organizations less than a year ago, in December 2007. Ask if he will be their ally if he becomes President and pledge to meet with leaders of Acorn and the others in his first year, Obama, who we are told has no contact to Acorn (another lie), not withstanding the $800,000 his campaign paid an Acorn group during the primaries, says, quote:

"Yes, but let me say that before I even get inaugurated, during the transition, we are going to be calling all of you in to help us shape the agenda."

See and hear it for yourself. Obama promised that Acorn and other groups like it will setting his agenda if elected even before he is inaugurated:

The link below describes how some Democrats in Congress tried to use the original version of the bailout bill to divert money eventually recovered to groups like ACORN, a group Obama has a long association with. See:

The only bad guy Obama didn't associate with was Satan ...or maybe he has and we haven't found out yet. !!

That would be because Obama did not cheat on his crippled wife.
