I am encouraged by Palin's boldness in her faith, and challenge christian believers to PRAY for America. We need God's intervention like never before. And HIS forgiveness and mercy. Things have become very EVIL in our nation. Brutal murders, beatings, corruption, etc. plague our news. I would love to see the 85% of people who confess to be christians to boldly act more like it. Our actions speak louder than words.

It is not meant for you to understand about rebuking or laying of hands at this time. You must first grasp the concept that Christ died for you in order for you to get any further. Once you come to terms with whom you serve then you may be able to comprehend more indepth spiritual beliefs and practices. Suffering from a lack of knowledge about your creator or about the powers that are in this world do not protect you, This article is a definite indication of your lack of knowledge of spiritual matters. We live in a time where information and truth are difficult but can be found. Do not allow yourself to be part of the deception because in the end we all serve only one whether we believe it or not.

It is sad that few journalists can be unbias!!!

Its not illegal but very taboo for pastors and other to dicuss politics from the pulpit because of the so-called "separation of church and state". So why do so many think its ok to use a persons religious background as a platform for detirmining there ability to govern this land. I for one would feel very safe having a person whom puts God first in her life helping to run our country. Maybe if we had more "religious fanatics" in office the U.S. would be closer to the country it was founded to be,,,a country built on the gospel of Jesus Christ.

What is the problem with her getting prayed over? What is the problem with the gentleman praying against witchcraft? Witchcraft is real whether people what to believe it or not. Why are people so afraid of having someone in the White House who sincerely walks in Christian beliefs? If you don't believe in Christianity, what are you afraid of? True Christians cannot exclude those beliefs from any area of their lives. Though we are not perfect, our lives are governed by what God says. We don't check Jesus at the door like you do a coat when you enter a fancy restuarant. Our beliefs should follow us wherever we go into whatever circumstance. We can't claim to be a Christian and feel like it is okay to lie under certain circumstances. We can't claim to be a Christian and compromise to try to win the votes of those who live a lifestyle contrary to what God's Word says. I commend Sarah Palin for not backing down from her Christian beliefs despite criticism. God says in His Word, blessed are those who suffer for His Name sake. Furthermore, for those who have nothing valid to complain about, it doesn't matter why she switched churches. Praise God she is at a Christ-centered, Bible-teaching church.

    Muslims attend MOSQUES....Obama attends church...

People need to leave Sarah Palin's relationship with her heavenly Father alone. That she would ask for spiritural guidance as a politician is absolutely the best thing for our country. Were we not founded as one nation under God? Do we not trust in God? If more politicians would spend more time praying for guidance instead of just going on their own our country would be in much better shape. Sarah, just keep it up. Those of us who have that relationship with Christ are backing you! Toni

It is the job of the Christian to help those in need..NOT the job of the government. Just the other day I asked a fellow Christian to help me care for a single mother of 4, the answer she gave me was "oh don't worry about her, she gets welfare". Are you kidding me! We are passing our responsibilties off on the government and saying that it's our way of helping.

How refreshing. . .a candidate whose minister prays that God will bless America rather than "GD America"!

This area is just the same as it is for Obama off limits. It is a personal matter. Otherwise then Reverend Wright is fair game as well.

    • Posted By: benkrapf @ 10/29/2008 10:24:43 AM

Rev. Wright was fair game... a year ago. Resurrect him at your peril GOP. It will strike of true desperation.

how disgusting that a person can't even be prayed for without someone vodeo taping it and posting it all over the internet.she is human, and a believer of god,i applaud her for seeking prayer from her pastor and elders.god's word tells us to do that.i am sick of all these comments about her daughter, and pregnancy and not being married.we can raise our children to do right but remember god gives everyone thier own free will.mrs.palin can't make her daughter's choices for her.who are we to judge this family.god forgives all if they ask,why can't you?our forefather's built this country on god's word why is everyone so eager to take god out of our government?is god hurting you?we as a nation need to ask god to forgive us and let him back into guiding our nation.let's touch on a woman's so called right to abort her baby.why is it ok to abort an unwanted pregnany, and that solves the problem?there are couples out there that would love to raise that unwanted child.the point is people make mistakes don't try to correct the mistake by making another one.an unwanted child can be a blessing in the bio-mother's life if she chooses or the child can be a blessing in someone elses life.an unplanned teenage pregnancy can turn out to be a blessing in that families life,if they choose to move on from the past.i would not want my daughter to be a teen mom,but if she made the choice to have sex before marriage and concieved a child,i would not hold that against her but help her to move on and encourage her to become independant and to finish school.we all have ideas of what we think our children should do but remember they still have free will to make choices,we can't be with them 24/7.just as jesus forgives we should also.

Well, I accidentally erased my comment. Now you'll just get the watered-down version. Sorry.

First of all, this comment is directed at most of the 'religious' posters here.

You say: 'We can raise our children to do right but remember god gives everyone their own free will. Mrs. Palin can't make her daughter's choices for her. Who are we to judge this family."
-- Can you not see how this same argument could be used to support abortion? People that support abortion do not call themselves 'pro-choice' for nothing... You???re right, ???who are we [and who is the government] to judge [???]????

Remaining on the subject of abortion though... I always am curious what 'pro-life' people think about this. Most say that abortion is bad because it's killing - taking the life of one of 'God's children'. Then the same 'pro-life' people go out and support American wars in droves. Seems a little hypocritical to me. Either you're FOR life, no matter whose it is (if you really believe that we are all 'God's creation' as many of you tend to say), or you're lying when you claim to be 'pro-life'. In reality you are pro-AMERICAN-life. Well, I don't think that God or Jesus would distinguish between American, Iraqi, French, Indonesian, and Sudanese (etc.) life. ???Pro-life??? people should then be the most outspoken peace activists out there!

Another point that seems a little ridiculous is when you say: "We as a nation need to ask God to forgive us and let him back into guiding our nation."
-- Excuse me?!?! WE AS A NATION? You do realize that there are millions of Americans that are atheist, Buddhist, Muslim, Jewish, Hindi, etc? Do you expect them to also ask Jesus for forgiveness? Maybe instead of asking passively for forgiveness and calling it good while continuing to live a less than perfect life, we should actually try to improve ourselves and ???do unto others as we would have done unto us??? ??? ???others??? being everyone in the world, not just other Christian Americans. Concerning your desire for God to guide our nation ??? this seems a little naïve. How do you think God will guide our nation? Will He (or She???or It??? who really knows?) appear in the sky where everyone can see and give us all a divine message, or will He speak only into the ear of Palin or McCain, and we???ll just have to take them on their word that God spoke to them??? No one can prove that there is a God (that???s why it???s called faith) and therefore no one can prove that God has EVER guided our nation. That will be a question that will only be answered after we die (if even then???). So wanting God to guide our nation ???again??? is just an invitation for politicians and other people of authority to manipulate you and your faith for their purposes.

By the way, your comment "Is God hurting you?" is kind of pointless. I think most people would agree that it's not God doing the hurting - it's people... whether politicians, terrorists, criminals, pissed-o

A new controversy has now arisen regarding Obama's speech at a radical PLO leaders special dinner. This guy is anti-America and anti-Jew. Soooooooooo Who IS Barack Obama, really?

You can call yourself whatever you want....you can say you are an atheist....but it will not change eternity....you WILL stand before the God you say you don't believe in....and you WILL be doomed to the hell you say you don't believe in.
I read this somewhere....I had rather believe while living and die and find out there is no God than I had to not blieve and die and find out there is!!

    • Posted By: benkrapf @ 10/29/2008 10:23:43 AM

And if your God doesn't exist? Or if your God doesn't judge people on the grounds you assume? What if your God believes it is more sinful to hold hate in your heart than it is to not truly believe in "God"?

  • Posted By: Markd123 @ 10/29/2008 10:23:38 AM

It's amazing to me that the media will so promptly post an article about CP candidate Palin like this, and neglect month after month to question Obama's ties with radicals like Rev. Wright, William Ayers, ACORN, Kenyan Muslims, etc. Why is this? Can't we get national media to report on all truths, and not just the ones that make Republocans look bad? Do your job as journalists and be fair about it!!!
