And considering that fox news hammered the Rev wright thing for about a month straight, I think it is time we see the other side's radical views as well. Truth hurts right? Just because this article shows her on video being exorcised or whatever it is that these so-called believers do when they dont want to take accountability for their actions, you all start screaming liberal bias. Ever watch fox?

If you are concerned about where liberals are taking this country then you need to post on more blogs then just the ones about religion. The left has had an unchallenged reign on these blogs for too long. Al;l voices need heard. Please take the time to do so. Then many our country will stay balanced. Just a thought.

It is ironic to see that certain writers at Newsweek are as ignorant as those they criticize. It is a fact that apocalyptic end time senerios are typical around the world. I was under the impression that Newsweek was interested in presenting facts, not in voicing a bigorty blog. What should we expect next... any opinions on the gay and lesbian agenda? We may not agree with Palin and her choices but what the hell are we fighting for religious freedom from who? Obviously this writer would pen nicely next to Mao.

Here you go, ghartley68: "I beleive in the redemptive death and resurection of Jesus Christ." - Barak Obama.

Google is a wonderful tool that can be used to dispell all manner of ignorance, that is if you acutally want that ignorance dispelled.

You folks have crossed the line,I am a Democrat, but first a Christian and you have crossed a sacred line, gone too far,I rebuke YOU in the name of Jesus Christ, there should never have been a time you put some ones prayers and prayer life like this out for the world it is no matter what it is between her and God,if she were Catholic would you bug the prayer closet?

I would like to know Sarah Palin's beliefs on whether she must "obey" her husband as many fundamentalist christians believe. To me, that would be a problem if she would need to obey Todd Palin's wishes on policy decisions, etc.

    • Posted By: shellbell @ 10/29/2008 9:19:35 AM

R U married? Did U promise to love, honor, and obey? 90% of married people have said those vows. I really don't think Todd is going to tell Sarah to set off a nuclear weapon any time soon. Yes, the bible said "wives obey your husbands", but the requirement for husbands bears MUCH more responsibility. He is to lead the household by example with love and respect his wife above all else and love her as Jesus loved the church. Which would mean never compromising her feelings or putting her down. This would mean encouraging and supporting her. Does that answer your question? If these values were in place in America we would not be in this situation.

Thanks for helping us to get down to the nitty-gritty about Palin's whackadoodle religious connections.

Now maybe we can start to shed some light on the stippers, sex workers and extramarital partners McCain has had, and whether or not he carries any STD.

Why are the Republicans being given a pass in the press on these controversies?

"but there has always been an association with God. Not Budda, not Allah, not even the Great Obama! But God. God help us and help USA."

    AMEN!!!!!!!!!!!

Why is Newsweek writing this? Have they fully investigated the racist Rev Wright and Amirosa Obama? They hate white people! I doubt it. I dont know, because I quit buying the rag a long time ago. Palin believes in God. It's just too much for unfaithful. If they believed, they would'nt be able to do anything they wanted or they wouldn't be in control of their own lives. I've got news for you, you are not in control. So, don't let her religion scare you. It should make her a better person, with morals. I haven't seen her spewing hatred like Obama's church. She loved America even before she was picked to run, unlike Amarosa Obama. For most, hopefully, the day will come where religion will make a place in your life. Hopefully you will choose God. Otherwise you are wasting your time.

Unfortunately, JML, you do not have a monopoly on "GOD." Muslims refer to Allah as God, Hindus to Vishnu, Ancient Greeks to Zeus, and Jews to Yaweh.

So unless my next paycheck says "In the God of the New Testament We Trust," then actually, Yes Buddha, Yes Allah.

But you're right, Obama is not God. However, unless I missed the memo, there is no cult of people who actually worship him, no matter how badly you want it to be true. Some people disagree with you based on their political ideology, but that doesn't mean they worship the person they support.

Strangely, it has not been the left but the faaaar right that is calling Obama "the messiah." Interesting.

Ok...now lets hear about Obama's church for 20 years...that taught anti white anti american sermons....where the minister said that whites should be killed....where they said whites invented AIDs to kill blacks...where they said Obama is the symbol and a message from God....and so on and so on and so on...of course they wont write a this...because god for bid anyone say anything about obama and his past in any area ... because of course us whites are racisist if we do that

  • Posted By: substanceoverform @ 10/29/2008 9:19:05 AM

To those with small minds, this is not an attack on freedom of religion; although it tangentially demonstrates how religious institutions cross the line every day with their explicit message of whom to vote for (that conflicts with proscribed tax exempt conduct). The electorate has the right to know about Palin's religious beliefs given that she may be a heartbeat away from the Presidency and has never held a press conference.

  • Posted By: sda7369 @ 10/29/2008 9:19:03 AM

And her religious views are exactly why I am voting for McCain and Palin. We need at least one good Christian in Washington who isn't ashamed.

  • Posted By: Billie Kirk @ 10/29/2008 9:18:41 AM

KassiB that was very well said. Thank you for going into detail as it helped others to understand. As I said, I am Catholic but I love all denominations and respect your views. We are all one in Christ. As for the writers of this article, media and Hollywood bashers this is probably over their heads. Pray for them. If they only realized that the Bible is being fullfilled everyday and they are playing a big part in it.

It's about time this video is up in the news! I've been concerned ever since I saw it. God's Will- it's a cop-out for pretty much everything. This made me extremely sure that this time around, I'm NOT Voting Republican! We already have one nut-job who is Christian in office, we certainly don't need another. Look at the mess we are in(oh, yeah, that is God's Will)!

This seems to be a pathetic attempt to distract from the real controversy which is the "faith" of Obama and his spiritual leaders. There is a big difference in quoting the ancient writings of the bible - whether you believe in them or not - and spreading the modern message of hate and "black power". This nation needs to wake up and stop looking for the entertainment value in our situation and realize that we are in desperate times. We have an enemy who needs to be defeated, we have a government that needs to be reformed, and we have two basically useless political parties. McCain/Palin may not be the answer, but they are the best choice we have this election.

  • Posted By: fothgt @ 10/29/2008 9:18:01 AM

Some may not like this end-time mumbo jumbo and that's fine. But one has to acknowledge that we are at a poignant time in history. You can feel it. You may not be able to put your finger on it, but there is something in the air that is elusive. I believe the Bible, the ancient Hebrew prophets, and the teachings of Christ and His Apostles discovered the answer. We humans are a prophetic people. All cultures deal with some sort of predictive element within. Now we as Americans have largely been influenced by Christianity. If not, it would have been something else. For me, the Scriptures are true juxtaposed against all other teachings and tenets. Have Faith in God!

Why don't you left wing biased folks talk about the real weird stuff? How an African American who runs for president has attended a church for twenty years. A church ( and I use that word loosely) that hates white people and sees us as the oppressors and will not allow a white person to be a member because of their race. It is so obvious that you see down a one way street but racism goes both ways. You are so slanted

in your narrow thinking that it stinks. Yes, I attend a Bible believing church and sat next to Wynette last Sunday who happens to be black. All anyone with any sense has to do is read your bashing and they too will believe in witchcraft and mind control which is exactly what the mainstream media agenda is all about. Like it or not, there is a God and you one day will be judged for your persecution of anyone who mentions the name Jesus.
I would tell you to go to Hell but you already are well on your way. The American people are tired of
your slanted bias crap. What about the Muslim religion, Mohammed, or the Koran? The fact that death is a
suitable thing for anyone who does not buy in to it? I suggest you send your people back to school for History
lessons. Let's see. I forgot. It isn' taught anymore because it refers how this country was founded on
freedom of religion and faith in God. I guess I won't get a free subscription to Newsweek because of my view
but that is alright. I have found a cheaper toilet paper. It is called the New York Times

jesus is about love not hate and you are mean spirit to judge something that you know nothing about try some real issues and become fair and balance again as a real writter does

This article is absolutely ridiculous...Newsweek is showing us that it's okay to question Palin's religious beliefs but don't ever dare to question Obama's!!! Obama sat under Rev. Wright for over 20 years!!! A man that HATES America and believes we got what we deserved on Sept. 11th!! The only reason that he left Wright's church was because he was afraid it would cost him the election...If we are going to report on her beliefs maybe we should also question his!!! Newsweek is proof that journalism is now dead in America. It has become the most liberal, biased infuence in this campaign. The media is the only reason that Obama is going to win this election....because that is who the medcia wants to win and they are "brainwashing" their viewers by not reporting the facts on BOTH campaigns.

  • Posted By: b-live1970 @ 10/29/2008 9:16:00 AM

Jesus & Witches? What you're trying to convey through this article is also written in the Bible-believers (yes, evangelicals like Palin) have been warned... The more I read and hear news like this and people's response, the more my faith is reaffirmed and the more I want to get in the Word of Truth. It's chaos!!! All caused by not picking up the Bible and reading it in faith. No one can claim to be a true believer and agree with Obama's view...we must be reading different Bibles!!

RELIGION? SADISTIC SACRED WHORE! It's Satan's ace trump! Step out of the ism's and accept Christ as as your ONLY personal Savior - Religion is not the answer! Christ is the answer! Sorry to dissappoint so many uneducated pastors and followers!
