i see why the chanches are so slim for ryan getting a pardon.pardoning all thoe innocent black men, george bush never gave any pardons when he was govenor of texas, what a shame! a known criminal get to render a decision on the moral/criminal determination to warrant a pardon!

THINK ABOUT WHO IS DOING THE ACCUSING, TRY AND USE LOGIC, COMMON SENSE, STREET SMARTS, WHATEVER YOU NEED ( IF YOU HAVE ANY)TO USE ,BUT THINK WHO IS ACCUSING. IT COULD BE TRUE, BUT YOU KNOW WHAT IT COULD BE A TOTAL LIE, THAT WILL GROW AS MORE FELONS MAKE THE SAME CLAIM.

the problem to many prisoners have access to computers. Why is everyone so willing to hang the "cops" ? You want the felons to have a fair trial before there is a verdict, give them the same break, do not fall victim to slanted news reporting, to many sheep out there do. Most policemen/policewomen I have known were fine dedicated professionals protecting the public's rights, and very lives of the citizens who want to hang them.

Every criminal claims someone else is at fault. Because some lawyer says it is so, it must be. Lawyer and felons don't lie do they?????

    Yuseff,
I work with a group that as taken on the BIPD and they are ugly and violent. In 2004, the BIPD beat an elderly man to death for the fun of it. Would you be willing to post an approximate date of the incident in Blue Island that you witnessed?

I personally have seen police in Blue Island, IL (a small suburb on the sout side of Chicago) pull up to a Black man walking down the street. The cop got out and hit the man over the head with his night stick, smile and get back in his squad car and drive away. The man had his scull split open. All you could see was blood.

I was a 19 year old college kid at the time and had just stepped off the bus. I was only a couple hundred feet away at the time. I could see it all clearly. The cops did it all for fun.

When you consider people who go into law enforcement, I'm not in the least bit surprised that these types of stories emerge. I'm surprised we don't have more of these. In my part of the country, we have white officer stopping more Native Americans. I was stopped a few years ago because the officer mistaken my Monte Carlo for a speeding drug vehicle, and he would not back down until I told him my father put a governer on the car to prevent me from speeding. He backed away from the speeding accusation and wrote me out for a cracked windshield instead. Once when I had a break in, the polices who came thought the perpertrator and I had a love spat and I had falsely accused him. I didn't have a record to speak of, but they assumed a Native American woman have more love spats than break ins. I had to pursue the court proceedings, and even in before the judge, an officer stated I knew the trespasser and had falsely accused my invader. Amazing how even though I was not beaten by a police officer, he and others could still press their stereotypical beliefs to discourage my rights and plea for safety and "protection for all."

    292 murdered in Chicago alone

221 killed in the entire country of Iraq

Just like in Iraq...How many murders in the hands of "authority?"

There's no limit to the crimes people have gotten away with simply because they were wearing a badge and gun at the time. They are the worst of all criminals. There should be NO statute of limitations for those crimes and they should get a mandatory sentence of the most the defendant in the case was eligible for.

Gee, American cops beating up suspects and perpetrators of minor misdemeanors and innocent people and then lying about it in court? No, no, too farfetched.

The police will hurt you bad and not care if they break something, then lie about it in court. Just about everyone I've ever met who's done a stint in county jail or prison has been beaten by the guards at some point, and I know at least one person who got beat up and handled roughly by the cops on two separate *misdemeanors* that were six years apart. Police brutality is rampant in the U.S. I want to know how the hell they're ever going to teach the inner cities to stop being violent and unethical when they set no kind of example whatsoever in that arena.

And the police hardly give a *** about a lot of citizens. I got robbed one year. Eight hours later, at 9PM after I had a day of agony and wanted nothing more than to sleep, a cop showed up and treated me like he couldn't believe I was wasting his time over possessions as comparatively unvaluable as mine, which was the last I heard about it until a detective called weeks later to pump me for information for a gang file. Eventually I got most of my stuff back *myself* from asking around in the neighborhood and a friend who happened to know who'd done it.

I try not to depend on or let myself trust the police anymore. I've seen them smile after they beat the *** out of somebody. The L.A. police in some areas are as ****ed up as the Chicago cops - look up the "Rampart Scandal" if anyone's interested.

It's probably been this way as long as human societies have existed...
