    To Namwireman:

If we want to quote the bible how about these?

20:18 And if a man shall lie with a woman having her sickness, and shall uncover her nakedness; he hath discovered her fountain, and she hath uncovered the fountain of her blood: and both of them shall be cut off from among their people.

Interpretation: Any man ever having intercourse with a woman that is on her period shall be put to death!!

    Or this one?

20:10 And the man that committeth adultery with another man's wife, even he that committeth adultery with his neighbour's wife, the adulterer and the adulteress shall surely be put to death.

How many men in our country commit adultry? Death to them all I guess if you interpret this one!

20:9 For every one that curseth his father or his mother shall be surely put to death: he hath cursed his father or his mother; his blood shall be upon him.

Don't curse your Mom and Dad...

Bible-Beaters can't pick and choose which bible verses they wish to belive and which they don't! HELLO, we are in a new era!

YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELVES!!!! HEYJUDE20, SAYING THAT BLACK PEOPLE ARE RACIST IS A RACIST STATEMENT! THATS JUST LIKE SAYING WHITE PEOPLE ARE RACIST... EVERYONE IS DIFFERENT AND JUST BECASE YOUR CANDIDATE DIDNT WIN, DOESNT MEAN YOU SHOULD BE CALLING AN ENTIRE RACE NAMES. YOU TOO, STANCE47, IM SURE THIS COUNTRY HAS MANY RACES THAT ACTUALLY WORK HARD FOR A LIVING. ENOUGH WITH THE ANGER. ITS TIME TO PRAY FOR OUR PRESIDENT AND MOVE FORWARD. GOD BLESS YOU BOTH .

If Barack Obama truly puts the country and economical status first he will appoint Bill Clinton, Hillary Clinton, and Al Gore to very pertinent positions on his staff.

Where is the change? I see a bunch of old Clinton Cronies and members of Congress being tapped. This speaks volumes about any real effort at picking fresh faces from outside the beltway. I knew all along the CHANGE is what you will have left after Obama plays Robinhood with the rich peoples money.

So in your mind we ignore the best and the brightest minds in the country just so we can have someone else? What would that get us? Haven't we had enough failure?

  • Posted By: ronniewatts @ 11/06/2008 10:29:04 AM

You are saying all black people are racist because a few black people were single out to by interviewed for a comedic response. This only proves that you are racist or least simple to accept this as proof. Look up the definition for racist.

The role of the USA on the world need to be changed from the police man to the BIG BROTHER

If Bush can screw up the country for 8 years and we are still willing to elect a Republican to the presidency who voted with him 95% of the time, please give Obama a chance to fix this mess! Let him try... I am willing to give anyone a chance to fix this. If he screws up, it's not like we have a King! He will be in for 4 years and we can elect someone else.

That's another point, the American people would have a King right now if it weren't for George Washington saying "no" to being America's king! So you better be thanking George Washington for not making us be under the rule of King Bush!

    • Posted By: Gobidden @ 11/06/2008 10:28:09 AM

I would like to agree with your comment regarding....why elect another Republican just the same as we have had for 8 years. Do you appreciate the direction we are headed now?? Let's let Obama try "change". As far as McCain's running mate....it was time Palin went home before she spoke "too far" out of turn!!

I was always taught to judge people by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin. I am thrilled for our nation that a person other that a caucasian man has been elected President. I voted for Obama because he engaged me in the political process and got me involved. I in turn got other people engages and involved. He is a uniter. He understands the value in listening to people with other views even if he does not agree with their point of view. I read both his books and learned as much about him and his views on policy as I could. There are many reasons our country is in the shape it is. Obama was raised to have a sense of personal responsibility, to care about other people, to look at what you have and not what you don't have. His mother spent her life helping other people less fortunate. I am proud to have a president that is compassionate, caring, intelligent, hard working, a great father and is willing to devote his life to making other peoples lives better. If we can keep people involved in their government we can stop the abuse of power that has prevailed for so long and work toward making the lives of everyday hardworking people of every size, shape, color, religion and sexual preference. It's time to make our voices heard by getting involved at every level of government . President Obama inspires me to do that.

COMMENT: If President Obama is true to his goal for " the path of change" then he will pick Governernor Bill
Richardson for SECRETARY OF STATE. Governernor Bill Richardson is the right person for the job!
A wrong selection for Secretary of State could mean further damage to our already FRAUDULENT Foreign Policy. I (as well as many others) stood in line for hours to vote for you! Make the right choices when picking
your cabinet. May G-d bless you in your term as President of the United States.

Anyone who has anything negative to say about the newly elected president Obama needs to just sit down and be quiet. None of us who are making our coments know what good or bad will happen while he is in office. Noone really knows how to perform in any new position until they are actually in the position. More people in the USA wanted a change and that's exactly what we received. If Obama was a White man I would have still voted for him because of his ideas and I myself am a black person.

Collin Powel is good chice for Ministry of Defence or Foreign Affairs

    • Posted By: naawan @ 11/06/2008 10:21:22 AM

Why Collen Powel? Advertise those job openings in the white house and a lot of qualified people will apply. Collen Powel has made his money already. If Obama is serious about distribution of income he must not hire this people anymore and hire new qualified advisers in the white house. He must post opening at Monster.com.

    • Posted By: naawan @ 11/06/2008 10:11:09 AM

Obama should also find a position for Jessie Jackson.

Notice a recuring theme through out all of these possibilities - Clinton-era and Sees eye-to-eye with Obama. So are we to presume that Obama will surround himself with failed policy yes men? Considering Clinton's advisors are responsibile for everything form our current economic issues to the build up to global terrorism and 9/11, lets hope we don't get 4 more years of Bill...

    • Posted By: eagles1776 @ 11/06/2008 10:19:18 AM

Did we miss something here? I thought we were just getting through with 8 years of the FAILED Bush Administration during which the Republicans controlled both houses of Congress for 6 years. I seem to recall we had full employment during the Clinton years. We weren't hated around the world then either. We had prosparity shared by nearly everyone and not just a few at the very top. But those who have selective memories forget things like that. Just remember that when the gravy train stops at your hous say no thanks I can make it on my own. Even if you are unemployed or very sick and don't have insurance say no thanks. If you can't afford a higher education for yourself or your children and the opportunity comes so you can say no thanks I can make it on my own. When you can no longer breathe because the air is foul and there are no more trees or rivers and streams with clean water say that's good because the companies, and their greedy CEOs are making money. One of these centuries it will trickle down. I am content to wait for the golden rain to get to me. Yes, you can make it on your own. That stuff about no man being an island or that it takes a village to rear a child is all poppycock, right? Stand up, dust yourself off and make it on your own and simply say no thanks to any and all forms of government assistance. That will leave more for the rest of us.

I am a republican and I voted for John McCain. I really think his campaign staff and Governor Palin caused him to lose the Presidency. It was a historic election and even though I am a staunch Republican, I will support Mr. Barack Obama as he leads our country into prosperity again. It is time to unify our nation before we can try to unify other nations.

I feel compassion for the gay community, as they try to gain equality. Sorry but this generation is not ready to accept homosexual marriage as "traditional" marriage. Keep hope alive, we did just witness the first black president elect.

thank you for your honesty and for supporting the president elect.

So let me get this right - Obama is considered African American - his daughter has an African name, his family comes from Africa - hmmmmmmmm me thinks Obama was born in Africa, not Hawaii since there is no proof that he was born in Hawaii - SHOW US YOUR BIRTH CERTIFICATE OBAMA - YES WE CAN (SEE IT)

    • Posted By: cfrancis34 @ 11/06/2008 9:37:16 AM

Obama was born in Hawaii, loiok up a copy of his birth certificate on the Internet, but it doesn't make any difference where he was born, his Mother was born in Kansas, which makes him an American Citizen, no matter where he was born. Same with McCain, he was born in the Panama Canal Zone to American citizens, he he too is an American Citizen.

      • Posted By: tnnsmm2 @ 11/06/2008 10:17:09 AM

You are incorrect, when Obama was born if he was not born in the US or did not have TWO parents that were US citizens he would not be a natural born citizen.
