You are so right! My father owns a manufacturing plant. He said before the election that if Obama wins, things will become harder for him which will lead to layoffs. If that happens, he said he already knows who to layoff. Everyone who has an Obama sticker on their car. They wanted his kind of change and they'll get it!

People asks, What kind of Change will Obama bring? The Change is here and the world has seen that America is still a land of Oppertunity only If you have the skills and the courage. The History is now in a process of unfolding another page and I am so excited to be a part of it.

We all know that racism still exist in this country... will probably exist until the end of time. One thing is for certain now and that's that the forum is open for discussion on how we feel about it. But more importantly we now have a president elect who is not only an intelligent man but a foreward thinker who understands the race issue first hand but is not allowing it to be the first card he draws. Black peopole, please realize that 61 percent of the people who voted for this man are nonblack...think about that!

    • Posted By: CoralSpringsMan @ 11/06/2008 9:23:10 AM

Freetospeak...you are absolutely correct...I think that people tend to forget that Obama would not have been elected if it were not for the white vote...this country has come a long way.....

Regardless of why some people voted for Obama it really isn't relevent at this point. I didn't vote for him, and honestly I'm worried about our future. I'm sorry America there are some misguided ones among us, now we must open our pocket books and hope for the best.

    • Posted By: mom2bellalia @ 11/06/2008 8:37:07 AM

LOL, huga, boy are you misguided. I take it you are one of the 5% (the rich)? All presidents have added new taxes, the difference with Obama? He told us he would.

      • Posted By: hugadobe @ 11/06/2008 8:53:27 AM

You can say what you will, and label what you please. I am not one of the rich. My family has endured 3 combat tours without complaint. So, you can thank us now for being able to freely say what you will. I love this country, my family worked extremely hard to be here and suffered as all American families have for this wonderful country. Have you seen socialized medicine in action? I have. It doesn't work, and people suffer. Perhaps you should look at the entrire picture instead of picking what you want to see so you may insult others.

        • Posted By: mom2bellalia @ 11/06/2008 9:21:07 AM

Socialized medicine is the entire picture? Obama wants all people to have health insurance, paid for by employers if employers refuse (they shouldn't) they will be fined so that the governement can pay for the uninsured. Sounds fair to me, why not to you?

  • Posted By: sisterjane55 @ 11/06/2008 9:20:21 AM

Just in case my comment didn't get posted.
Everyone is forgetting Obama is not solely black, however he is African-American in the truest sense. If you think real hard you just might just get it! By the way, I'm Republican.

Jon Corzine, Treasury Secretary. Another screw up in Washington..
take him because he can't reun New Jersey..Wants to use 500 million from the State Worker Pension to fund banks. What Got us in trouble in the first place. Banks/ Willing to give businesses $3000.00 to hire a full time employee for a year. Where is the rest of the pay coming from Whops didn't think about that did we Jon. Loves Unions, just ask his girl friend. Good luck President elect Obama. Take him there are a lot of people in New Jersey that want to GET RID OF HIM

  • Posted By: 521tommy @ 11/06/2008 9:18:24 AM

Change is coming.............lol..............in the form of higher unempolyment and higher prices for goods and services. What do you think is going to happen when you raise the taxes of the wealthy job creators and make it easier to fprm unions? Change indeed!

  • Posted By: kyralala @ 11/06/2008 9:17:45 AM

If his whole theme was "Change", then why would he put mostly old-school left-wing democrats in his cabinet who don't want change for Americans but change for themselves. If he is going to do what he said, then he needs to look at people who are young and dedicated to actually uniting this country instead of dividing.

  • Posted By: waterconserver @ 11/06/2008 9:14:51 AM

The die is already cast. Smart companies are already looking to see who they can layoff before he is even sworn in. They know what he is about and are reacting. The electorate has spoken and now companies are "adjusting"..

  • Posted By: 521tommy @ 11/06/2008 9:03:21 AM

Change is coming............lol Raising taxes on the wealthy job creators and making it easier to form unions................hmmmmmmmmm.............change is coming alright in the form of higher unemolyment and higher prices for goods and services. Change indeed! SPREAD THE WEALTH YOU BLEEDING HEART LIBERALS.

    • Posted By: familyguy @ 11/06/2008 9:13:21 AM

You have got to be kidding me. What are you some kind of idiot? George W. has let the employers ship your jobs overseas and send back the products for free. Why wouldn't you vote for change. If you are a diehard republican I respect that but it sounds to me that you are more of an uneducated voter to be worried about the things you mentioned rather than complaining about what matters.......... more jobs will strengthen the economy. No one had a problem with Bill Clinton and his views but one blow job and it was time to hang him. WOW!!!!! Last time I remember when we had Clinton, jobs were up, unemployment down, economy strong, and the middle class american could support a family. I'm glad you picked the right issues to be pissed about you idiot.

  • Posted By: tovotebasedonraceiswrong @ 11/06/2008 9:11:52 AM

Massachusetts doesn't want Kerry or Patrick. Funny how Obama does. Illinois was just as corrupt as these two idiots. Look at what he did for Illinois. We are all done for.

Comment: I am sick and tired of hearing these racial comments. I have something to say. Black people are the ones who has been mistreated by white people. Our ancestors are the ones who was beaten, raped, and children was sold. These things were done by people. We has black people could not drink from the same water fountain ans whites. We had to ride at the back of the bus because of our skin color. If anyone should be upset and anger it should be black people since we are the ones who has been mistreated my white people. Let's talk about that. Another thing I am getting sick of is individuals labeling President Obama as being black he is bi-racial. Let's not forget his mother was a white lady who had dignity. I also would like to remind you that President Obama and his beautiful wife are very educated. They both graduated from the best college. Let's talk reality hear. Now who want to comment about this.

Racism will only go away for good only when the ???RACE CARD??? stops being played

You conveniently leave out the fact it was the BLACK overlords that sold their brother and sister Africans into slavery in the first place. I agree slavery was and is wrong but put the blame where it really began

We will see what it brings. He is President-elect, so we must support him. It was easy for everyone to criticise President Bush. He had the wolves (Congress) at his door every day. How many of you said "he's not my President, I didn't vote for him"? More people voted against Obama in this election than against Bush in either election. Not percentage, but total numbers. So, should half the country immediately say "he's not my President..."? Race was only an issue for racists (of all colors--and look at the percentages to show where most of it lies). My fear is the dicatatorship of the Democrat regime, not a President with a different skin color. I'm Catholic and supported non-Catholic Presidents (religion is a bigger issue than skin color to most of the world). Now, there will be no excuse and we will see the true "colors" of those "we" elect.
To clarify, all colors of people have been slaves at one point, treated as below. Did only "whites" capture and sell "blacks"? Look around the world today, it is happening still today. There has to be a point where you stop whining and work toward the future. At some point you have to say "I am an American" and stop segregating. I know many African-Americans, born in Africa and chose to come to the United States. Served (serving) by my side in the military and earn their citizenship. My ancestry is mixed -- I am an American, and I choose not to insult my fallen comrades (many family) by diluting this with qualifiers.

Okay, so we all vote for change (most of us anyway); we vote in a man to bring us together and when browsing through his cabinet candidates; there are a bunch of old cronies.... old white men.... most in power as the county was getting into this mess. Is this a joke? For goodness sake; lets get some fresh blood into that cabinet. Enough is enough.

    • Posted By: amyd75 @ 11/06/2008 9:06:55 AM

Obama WAS elected because he was black. Where was the historical turn out of democratic voters when John Kerry was running?? Guess he was not the right color for voters to show up at the polls. Everyone is saying they just wanted Bush out.....could have gotten him out last time, ya know? Obama is supposed to be for change, so stop bringing up the slaves in the past and move forward already! It is not my fault what my VERY DISTANT ancenstors did. You are just feuling a fire of reverse racism! 9/11 was an attack from the middle east, so I guess I have the right to go over there and be president?

Jon Corzine as Treasury Secretary.. What a joke.. He can' manage New Jersey. High Taxes, insurance and a starte in economic DISASTER.. His plan for a bailout. Use 500 Million of the state workers pension fund to bailout banks. What got us in trouble to Begin with?? Will give businesses $3000.00 to hire a full time employee for a year. With businesses going out where are you suppose to get tne BALANCE OF THE MONEY TO PAY THEM ?? Dumb Plan . Let's see if he can screw up the Frederal Government. By the way make sure he

    WEAR'S HIS SEAT BELT..

Bill Richardson needs to be in Obama's Cabinet, Obama is going to be good for America, he can really help stop this red and blue histeria that has plagued this nation since the Reagan years. We are one nation under God, we also need to have a parlimentary type of government, only have a two month cycle campaign, have more political platforms than the conservatives and liberals, and get rid of the person who is leading the country if they are doing a bad job. wakayden@hotmail.com
