Looks like "Change" means the same old partisan hacks from the past. John Kerry, Rham Emanuel, Corsine, etc. Evidently, Obama is a big fan of recycling !

  • Posted By: fbaerjr @ 11/06/2008 8:18:42 AM

Jon Corzine as Treasury Secretary??? You have got to be kidding. Just look at what he had done to New Jersey. Actually people in New Jersey are hoping he is selected so we can get rid of him. If this is an example of how Obama is going to change things, it will be a long 4 years.

    • Posted By: dmerl @ 11/06/2008 8:28:40 AM

I feel the same way about Corsine the governor of New Jersey. He really socked it to the people, that is why I moved out of New Jersey. People are leaving there left and right because they cant afford it no more. I can just imagine whats going to happen to us now that Obama appointed him Treasury. People who dont live in New Jersey dont understand the full concept of what Corsine did to us, but bet your bottom dollar you soon will.

Gov. Bill Richardson's extensive foreign relations experience, negotiating with our enemies and being nominated for a Nobel peace prize, make him an ideal choice for Secretary of State. He also wants to end the war in Iraq. He is in sync with most of President-elect Obama's views, but would not be afraid to express his disagreements quietly and follow his Commander-in-Chief's final decisions. He is also an experienced administrator, and would be an honorable and respected representative of our country.

Well "Mr. Change We Can Believe In" better get busy with some women for his staff...after all if he is not just another lying politician he needs 51% of his staff to be female. He has already appointed his VP and Chief of Staff and they are both men, and all those photos you are showing are men's faces. Otherwise he is more of the (Mac) same...and boy did you all get duped!

If you go into this with negativity then yes we will fail but there are too many positive people to let the few hold us back. I'm not black but I'm positive and yes we are all in this together like it or not so let's try to work together because no matter what Mr. Obama is our leader and we need to support him or we all lose. THIS I MY AMERICA AND I LOVE IT AND YOU!
    Peace and God Bless

Obama just pulled the biggest snow job ever on the American people, and I'm waiting for the Big Disappointment that will certainly follow. He started becoming less of a change agent and more of a politician in the middle of the campaign. Like Bill Clinton said, it's a big fairy tale.

    • Posted By: lilly2 @ 11/06/2008 8:14:56 AM

Surprisingly enough that's what many people say happened but to a different candidate---JOHN McCAIN!

  • Posted By: mschatterbox @ 11/06/2008 8:14:55 AM

well then if obama is not "black" he sure has a great tan.....lol

  • Posted By: marleyjack @ 11/06/2008 8:13:20 AM

I am so proud to say that I voted for Obama and guess what, my skin is only HALF the color of his! I will not lower myself to say which way that goes because in my mind and heart, it just does not matter. I voted for Obama because I felt he was the better MAN for the job. The color of his skin should not make any difference whatsoever as long as he gets the job done. I will say that I live in a small town with a few small minded people. I overheard some people yesterday saying that they didn't care if he didn't do anything for the next four years, they just cared that he is a black man. That is just the sadest thing I have ever heard. If half his race is the only reason anyone voted for him then they need to go back to school and get an education. The Presidency is the most important job in the United States (notice the word United) and people should do their very best to support that. I have to agree with several of the comments already made - the things that have happened in the past need to stay there and we need to focus on the here and now. I have friends of all races and consider myself blessed to have each and every one of them. I will pray for the new President and his family everyday because he will need the power of prayer much more than he needs people trying to separate themselves due to skin color and race.

People are now wondering what will happened next after the election in USA. Just as simple as that. Now the worst scenario are the duties and responsibilities of the President. As citizen, you, all of us rely citizen of each and everyone of our country where we live is in our hand. The president role is to lead, hear, listen to the peoples problem, idea, and support. We all need to speak out and participate always and aware.

BY LAW OBAMA IS NOT A BLACK MAN, AT BIRTH YOU ARE GIVEN THE RACE OF YOUR MOTHER NOT THE FATHER

WHERE IS THE "CHANGE" SAME OLD DOING THE SAME OLD THING

  • Posted By: doctorpaul07 @ 11/06/2008 8:11:21 AM

As a white Republican, I would like to offer the following. In channel surfing last night, I came across Black Entertainment TV and was very pleased with the message being offered. The message was that Barak Obama was now a role model for American Black youth. Political differences aside, Mr. Obama is highly intelligent, and he blends this intelligence with youth. The message was "it is now cool to be smart". What a significant and true message to Black American youth. I sincerely hope that Black American youth will take this message, and example to heart as it is indeed cool to be educated, smart, and progressive. I do hope that this is one major thing that will evolve from the Barak Obama administration for the Black American youth in this country, as this indeed is change that is needed, and change that we want. Congratulations on the victory of your candidate, and may his historic election evolve to be a legacy that All Americans can be proud of. Yes, it is cool to be smart. Ironically this few minutes was the best TV that I watched during the whole election process.

Some changes Obama mentioned included. Ending the war in Iraq, Higher taxes to those making more than 250Kyrly, Health care for all Americans, tuition money for students in exchange for community service, and thats just a few...
What was McCain promising... continue with Bush politics. "Win the War in Iraq..." Haven't we learned anything from Vietnaum and Korea? This is a war that can't be won.
Final thought... Has there ever been another election where so many people in country's outside the US celebrated when a US President was elected! May God be with you Baraq, the world is waiting and watching.

I'm going to say some prayers that Obama makes some good choices regarding the change he has promised. I didn't vote for him, and I think that it is unfortunate that votes were made because of the color of his skin, or wanting to make history. We haven't come as far as some said the day after the election. Like it or not Obama will be our new President in January. We must support him, and hope for the best.

To oahuhi3 I to am an AMERICAN BORN HERE, and I am what you may call AFRICAN AMERICAN, born and raised here in AMERICA. Before the man can get in office you are already condemning. You call yourself a Christian. Let the chips fall where they may and then you can complain. For Centuries Politicians have done nothing for this country but raise taxes and gave our hard earned money to other countries. So maybe its time for AMERICA to clean its own backyards before helping everybody else clean theirs. War is a hateful thing yet The Bush Administration sent our Young men and women to fight his war for his oil. Now when he leaves office his pockets are fat with our money. The youth died for his greed, and the AMERICAN people will soon be out in the cold because HE and his Administration let us down. Give the next man a chance!!!!!!!! Stop looking at COLOR and look at what needs to be done to help AMERICA get back on its feet!!!
Remember AMERICANS are people of all NATIONALITIES your ancestors came from somewhere. That is what makes AMERICA!!!!

    • Posted By: AMERICAN01 @ 11/06/2008 8:01:44 AM

It's time for the African Americans to grow up. If you want racism to stop then start calling yourself AMERICANS if you were born in AMERICA. You are no longer AFRICAN AMERICANS. as for obama, he is the next president not the first AFRICAN AMERICAN President. If you want to be equal then start acting equal and get off the discrimination high horse. I don't have a problem treating people as equal except for those that wont move forward. Once you start calling yourself an AMERICAN you will have a better chance in ending the racism that started over 200 years ago. Your people cannot let the past lie in the past

      • Posted By: aaapoi724 @ 11/06/2008 8:10:11 AM

I never called my self AFRICAN AMERICAN. Look at our government and people. I am not from AFRICA, I am from AMERICA but some people label us as such.

    • Posted By: oahuhi3 @ 11/06/2008 7:30:22 AM

Well the message was mis read. I am not condeming Obama....that would not be wrong. I did not call myself a Christian....please read again. If you are an American why not just call yourself that? To me you are just that. Color is not the issue here, it is the lack of the government caring about the little people who suffer from their decisions. I believe we agree on that. America is made up of many nationalities and that is cool, I do not carry a chip on my shoulder that I am an American but I am proud to be one and that is why I say just American. Let all pray and hope Obama does what he says he will do.

      • Posted By: aaapoi724 @ 11/06/2008 8:04:10 AM

You are right. I am an AMERICAN. but it is society that labels people, whether you are African, Asian, Spanish etc. The government and others labels us by our nationalities by always asking what nationality you are when filling out applications. Yes I am proud to be an "AMERICAN" whether black, white, yellow. And yes I think it is time for a change and that the AMERICAN government needs to take care of "AMERICA" and the AMERICANS that are here and work and pay taxes Legally.

Exactly the youth died for his greed, and thats the biggest thing that disgusts me about Mr Bush

I don't think so ,

I can't imagine how happy the late Martin Luther King for his dreams come true. I decade I would say after he passed away, giving a chance that no colors will interfere for the right of one citizen to lead the country as long as he or she is competent and the most are chosen by the citizen. We were very happy of the result of the election and every one agreed for a change and for the future of the citizen of USA.
