Before you make strong assumptions, you need to do further research about Affirmative action because you will find out the main people that benefited from Affirmative Action are white women! Since affirmative action has been established, white families??? incomes have doubled because white women have been able to bring in a second income. And yes, some Black people voted for Obama solely because of his race. And some Blacks voted for him because they agreed with his politics and think that Obama has the best interest for society. Realize that Black people and other minorities have voted for past white presidents and most of these presidents didn???t have the best interest towards people of color. You need to go to your nearest community college and take an Ethnics Studies course and examine your views about racism. Minorities (that means all people of color), cannot be racist because they do not have the political nor the economic power to be racists. Racism is about privilege and advantage. White people have been privileged to rule this world, such as Bush, and no one cares to look that HIS FAMILY HAS TIES WITH THE BIN LADEN???S FAMILY AND THEY DO BUSINESS TOGETHER (oil!). And I bet it hurts your feelings now that I just brought up the word PRIVILEGED. I recommend a book called White Like Me by Tim Wise. He???s a white author that???s an anti-racist and the book will tell you about it himself as a white man how it is to be privileged in America.

Heyjude20, I am black and voted for Obama because I am a Democrat and i have been voting since Clinton and i have voted for three other white-democratic nominees, so to single out a whole race is not a valid argument. Also, the same can be said for white-voters that they voted for Mccain because of his color and they are racist. I am not going to stoop to your level. But I pray for unity.

First, President elect Obama needs to think about what to do to help America! He is an American, not an African (unless he was born in Africa). After the USA is brought back to what it used to be, then is the time to think of what can be done for foreign countries, not only Africa!

Before we start disqualifying people because they get their facts wrong, remember Obama once said that there are 57 states. I do not have enough space to list the mistakes Biden made in his speeches, also I would consider being the Govenor of a state as experience in politics.

In Ohio, welfare reciepients are only allowed two years, yet, the administration can revieve fat checks from the government for as long as they want....Education you pointed out is another issue...Thanks to people like you, the Asians are smarter than Americans (Black, white, latino)...What is the difference...It is people like you who only see one side of the street, and while you are focus on your street, there is a gang coming right behind you to take your job, and live in your house...look around. To the obamama who said that the president elect obama didnt unite us but indeed divide us.thats so untrue because how it looked to me was that for the first time in a long time not only in the united states but all over the world people pulled together and celebrated the election of this fine man who is now going to be our president,it was so beautiful, i saw people young and old, black and white and all colors inbetween, i saw all sexs, and all backrounds,creeds what have u standing together to vote and standing together to wait on the polls also stand together to celebrate so dont say we are dividing because i see uniting and so do alot of others.

To CeeSmith: Most presidents bring successful people from past administrations into their administrations. Clinton did it with several appointees; Bush did it (sorry - bad example); it is a way to bring in solid leaders and then put in new people to "grow" the administration. That way too, there is some experience already in place that "knows the ropes" while the others are getting their bearings.

Excellently written, no one can argue these facts. The problem with the left, as evidenced in most
of the rantings in these posts, is that they react and act on their emotions not with a clear thought
process. The other half of this country who did not vote for Obama, did not think about his race, they
thought about the consequences of what he said he will do if elected.

I SO TOTALLY AGREE WITH YOU!!! I think that most of these people that have such hateful comments to say towards Obama's victory probably did not even sit down and take the time to watch the debates on tv between him and McCain.
