vote now - it's the same old cut and paste crap. Don't you ever have a new thought? And do you really think people bother to read your boring crap? Have you noticed that you are not a professional writer, and you can't get published anywhere but on a free-for-all blog? There's a reason for that...........

So, tomorrow, will you have to get a life, or will you just go on posting blogs no one reads????

You somehow forgot to mention the GOOF too. Why is that?

  • Posted By: Nowforsomemoretruth @ 11/03/2008 11:28:21 AM

In the exchange with "Joe the plumber" Obama unintentionally revealed that he really is as radical as his early political mentors and acquaintances, Davis, Ayers, Wright, Khalidi etc., (gee, there sure seem to be a lot of them) and that he is into the failed economic policy of wealth redistribution. Now there is absolute proof. In 2001, Obama, the "community organizer" turned legislator, said in an interview:

"And I think one of the tragedies of the civil rights movement was that the civil rights movement became so court-focused, I think there was a tendency to lose track of the political and organizing activities on the ground that are able to bring about the coalitions of power through which you bring about redistributive change, and in some ways we still suffer from that,"

    2001 Chicago Public Radio Interview.

Obama's tax and spending plans alone would be bad enough, but add Reid and Pelosi to the mix, with the three of them controlling both houses of Congress and the executive branch without any effective restraint, and you have something that should causes concern even among moderate Democrats.
See Wall Street Journal: A Liberal Supermajority:

    http://online.wsj.com/article/SB122420205889842989.html

Indeed, some democrats are publically saying as much. See Barney Franks comments on the news, including face the nation last week, stating essentially that Democrats in Congress intend to greatly raise taxes and go on a spending spree.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cJGnSAlqjoU

    See http://www.taxfoundation.org/blog/show/23617.html

Obama's ill-conceived programs will require him to tax, and his health care plan alone is a substantial hidden tax on all business, large an small. In reality, it does not really matter who he taxes, those taxes are going to be passed through the economy. He has to tax, because it is they only way he can pay for his massive social engineering experiments. Any first year economics student knows that taxation is a tool used to contract an economy experiencing inflation, because it reduces demand by reducing the amount of money individuals and businesses have to spend. It is contractionary, which is exactly what you do not want to do when the problem is that the economy is contracting already into recession. Like Hoover and FDR, Obama's plans will only make it worse for longer.

The democrats failed social engineering policies in the housing market are what brought us to ruin. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lr1M1T2Y314&feature=related
Even Bill Clinton says so. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XsynspIqAoE
Obama and a supermajority of Democrats simply is not the change we need, nor is it change we can afford.

From the disproportionate number of posts here, it looks like Brenda for Mccain needs to get a job (and/or a life). Vote for Obama. Brenda, and he'll fix you up. Also, you might be able to further your education and learn to find facts under an Obama leadership. That way, you'll know better about what you're talking about instead of just regurgitating propagandist talking points and being argumentative for it's own sake.

@ pezled: "or will you just go on posting blogs no one reads????" Your desperation is getting the better of you, too. A lot of people are reading Ms. Clift's blog, as the number of comments show. Also, Newsweek is a very popular national magazine that is Republican-leaning. Think about that...

The GOP has got to completely reinvent itself. The GOp has become a party of exclusionists and elitists. No empathy for the working person, no love for the middle class. The party is depending on the wealthy, trickery and uneducated, unenlightened masses who they can scare into voting against Obama. It is a shame that they have allowed the neo-con slimeballs to hijack their party. Until candidates can be found who truely expound the true policies of the GOP and fully embrace the middle class and even the poor, the outcome will continue to be, thanks, but no thanks!

    Comment: THE GREAT BUSH DEPRESSION
I follow an economist named Bob Proctor. He has called the top and bottom of every market crash since the 70s correctly.
He perfectly predicted the current meltdown and the picture he paints about what will happen next
is terrifying. He thinks it will be worse then the great depression.
The banks in the U.S. are going under one after the other. Countrywide ,Bear Stearns, Lehman Brothers and Merrill Lynch , Fanny and Freddy Mae ,AIG
The government took them over because they are bankrupt. Even with the goverment nationalizing hundreds of billions of dollars in debt the stock market is crashing
the credit markets are frozen and all of us may suffer beyond anything seen in generations
McCain just like Bush " doesn't understand the economy".
That not just my opinion its his own words. Not only does he not understand how to fix it but he does not understand how its been broken.
It is no surprise that he doesn't. The people that make up these securities use quantum mathematical models very few people understand.
Bush and McCain both can take the credit for this mess since they helped deregulate the laws that were protecting us.
Bush's economic advisor Phil Graham wrote the deregulation bill that allowed banks to take huge risks with all of our future.
Now, Phil Graham is the head of McCain's economic policy. He is also McCain's choice for the next secretary of the treasury.
No one in this country can afford for that to happen. The last time Bush met with his economic advisors was in March. He was the last to know somthing was wrong. Phil Graham had the guts to say that we are in a mental recession after he helped create the worst economy meltdown in our lifetime. It will take the best and brightest minds in the world to get us out of this nightmare. As bad as Bush has done, McCain would be
even more destructive because things are in much worse shape. The next president will not inherit a budget surplus like Bush did but a crashing economy and a 11,600,000,000,000 (trillion) dollars deficit. Most of it Bush created and it will take decades to pay it back.
If you do what you have always done then you will get what you have always got.
When it comes to policy Bush and McCain are the same 90 percent of the time.
So why are the polls even close then ?
Mccains team just said they no longer want to talk about the economy.Instead they would like to spend time talking about obama
which means running the biggest smear campaign in history.
They think they can just tell you lies and you wont be smart enough to see through it

I just left Walmart and a black woman and white male were having a shouting match in the breezeway about Obama. People are getting just a little nuts and I'll stay indoors that day. I don't want to deal with a lot of stupid people. It's not worth a fist fight. But I will get very disappointed if the Muslim wins.

What's sad is that if McCain is elected the rich will get richer. Less government=more tax breaks for the wealthy (less regulation)=LESS MONEY FOR EVERYONE ELSE!!!! I guess you like not having an opportunity to make more money.

I think everyone should stand up against the bigotry and racism that people are spewing in the name of religion.

The only issue that clouds George Bush is the fact he took us to war in Iraq. He has protected the country from further attacks, and when thinking rationally, everyone would rather lose the money and be safe as a country. Other than that, it's really been Barney Frank and Chris Dodd that brought the housing crisis to crash the market. Apparently that is not enough, with Pelosi and Reid asking for more money and Frank asking to cut the defense budget and leave our troops without armor and adequate support. So, if you zealots have to bring a terrorist into the white house at least have the decency to say that.

It's not DEMs who are afraid of mentioning him. It's the GOP. So if they are afraid to mention him, a sitting president, who are they afraid of?

    1) Who run the most disiplined and well orgnized campaign?

    2) Who handled the economic crisies whith steady and careful approach?

    3) Last but not least, look into how they VP pick and their decision behigned their pick.

This moronic scumbag Samuel J. Wurzelbacher "Joe the Plumber" had his AZ driver license suspended

    http://www.eastvalleytribune.com/story/128323

Wurzelbacher, who lived in Mesa in 2000 and had an Arizona driver's license, had his driver's license suspended by the Arizona Department of Transportation Motor Vehicle Division on May 4, 2000, following a nonpayment of a court-imposed fine for civil traffic violations, according to court records.

...owes nearly $1,200 in back taxes, according to public records, still owes more than $700 to the Mesa court system.

Records show he was cited for failure to stop at a red light and for failure to provide proof of insurance on Feb. 9, 2000, in a black Dodge truck at the intersection of Dobson and Baseline roads in Mesa.

After failing to pay his original fine of $627.50 issued in March 2000, his license was suspended and the fine was handed over to a collection agency along with a 16 percent surcharge. The now-resident of Holland, Ohio, still owes $727.90 to the Mesa Municipal Court, according to court records.

Hopefully the collection agency will break both of his legs so he'll never be able to walk nor work ever again. This typical Republican scumbag deserves it.

The problem with Obama is a simple one. One association does not a radical make. But in Obama's case, the list of left-wing radical mentors and associates is seemingly endless, (Davis, Ayers, Wright, Khalidi , etc., etc.) with a new revelation practically every day. With that trend, a picture begins to emerge, and that picture is that Obama is as steeped, not in just left-wing political thought, but in radical left-wing economic and race ideology, to the same extent that Pat Robertson was steeped in the ideology of the radical Religious Right. I would not have voted for Pat Robertson for dog catcher, and for similar reasons, I will not vote for Obama.

And he's been standing alongside McCain and Palin at several of their rallies now, they made him their poster boy. McCain and Palin don't have to worry about Obama making them look bad., That's one thing they're good at.

That's what this country needs is people who are looking to the future - their future & not simply taking the path of least resistance. Again, if I was basing my presidential pick based upon my financial situtaion only & what I could benefit from NOW - I would vote Obama. However, (1) I don't believe him as far as I could throw him and (2) I aspire to be more tomorrow than I am today & I don't want that spirit to be thwarted by people who feel that I should give more of what I earn to causes that I don't believe in. How about I CHOOSE where and how I want to serve my humanitarian callings with MY HARD EARNED MONEY!?!?

I live in rural Texas where NOBODY (except me) would vote for Obama!

McCain is supported by redneck, uneducated people fearful of change.

Maybe these rednecks need another 8 years of McBush!

Actually, all of my friends who are supporting McCain are highly educated but fearful of socialism.
