Who are the Wal-Mart Women? Palin does not represent all of them. She represents a small mahority of women, who want to live vicarioutly through her. They don't have much excitement in their lives, and want o feed off the excitement Palin bought to a rather boring and dead campaign. She did not represent women, who were critcal thinkers, or women who had a board view on life. She might represent those tow issues women, who onl y think about abortion and same sex marriage. But are more issues that are important to women over all.

This intelligent WalMart woman will try. I already cast my vote for McCain. In the battleground state of VA, McCainocrats are going out to vote! PUMA! I get so sick of liberals calling everyone else stupid. You should try looking in the mirror. Liberals are the sheeple.

"Nowforthetruth" is now selling guilt by association that Obama has PLO buddies referring to Rashid Khalidi. McCain donated $440k to Khalidi.

    See for yourselves at: http://richmonddemocrat.blogspot.com/2008/10/mccain-funded-rashid-khalidi.html

"Nowforthetruth", a little more "truth" about guilt by association....

"Nowforthetruth" also said: "Nins, all you prove is that you have perpetual PMS and cannot read. If you are as careless in your practice, you are a danger to your profession." You reveal too much of yourself "Nowforthetruth".

"Nowforthetruth" continues repasting that the cause of our problem is a law decades old that encourages loans to qualified low income people. "Nowforthetruth" continues to repeat well known deceit.

Alan Greenspan stated recently that the problem was not anything like that. Rather, he stated that an entire financial system was built outside of regulation, and "we trusted" these self-interested looters to regulate themselves. Credit Default Swaps were the result.

Credit Default Swaps increased from $106 trillion in '02 to $531 trillion under the R stewardship. No regulation.

While there are several variations of a viral email that tries to blame a few thousands of political donations to some Ds, the actual, legitimate news has reported that Fannie and Freddie paid many millions to Republican lobbyists to lobby Rs, only, to PREVENT REGULATION.

McCain's campaign manager, Rick Davis, received up to $35K/mo. from Fannie and Freddie from 2000 to present, to lobby Rs,only, against regulation. Freddie paid Rick Davis while he has been McC's campaign manager. Freddie donated $250k to the R convention.

These facts are everywhere in the legitimate news: http://www.nytimes.com/2008/09/22/us/politics/22mccain.html and http://www.newsweek.com/id/164732/page/1 There's much more legitimate news on this.

Trillions were looted from our economy because the Rs allowed it. It is inescapable that the Rs, most prominently McC's campaign manager, were in the pockets of big money while they drove the buss off the cliff with us in it.

You can try to distract people with fears about 'those guys'. Lies, distortion, deception. 'Socialist' is only the last in a long, now desperate, list of labels you have tried to pin on 'that one'. That's all you have left.

Is your most recent reposting here directed to fears about "Socialism", or is it just innuendo, or are we trying to fold in a little racism too?

Since we have no more ideas, let's keep running our campaign on fear, smears and hypocrisy.

Keep talking "Nowforthetruth", you're really helping. You keep demonstrating that we all have to vote against lies and propaganda and attempts to hijack our political process with deceit. Your actions are the kinds of reasons that I'm voting for Obama after 40 years of never having voted for a Dem.

    A 40 year republican

ALL TAXES RESDISTRIBUTE MONEY!! The sooner you get your heads around that fact, the sooner you'll see the phonies McPain and Phailin for what they are. Tell me, if the Govt. pays for your healthcare or gives you a tax credit to pay for it, what's the difference? Right.

Boo to Socialism!! Down with redistribution!!! I likes bein' poor!!!
There is a reason that uneducated people vote for Conservatives and it's that they aren't smart enough to see through the tactics used by the wealthy to keep them earning just enough to get by while they reap the profits and pay no taxes.

It's hard to overcome a democratic/voting electorate that is largely 'functionally illiterate' w/regard to who Obama is, and what he represents.

    My questions about Obama are:

1A) What was his undergraduate final GPA? 1B) What was his Harvard Grad final GPA?

2A) Is he licensed to practice law? If so, where? 2B) Did he fail any license exams?

    3) Who paid his Harvard tuition (who is he beholden to?)?

    4) Given his long list of radical friends/close associates, does he have any friends/close associates that are not radicals?

    5) Since Obama believes trickle-up economy works can he give an example of how it worked in the past? (I believe that unfettered trickle-down works every time.)

    6) What is the income limit for no income taxes or a rebate? ($250K? $200K? $150K? $120K? It keeps changing.)

    7) Does he support eliminating the secret ballot for unions? (Bill in congress)

    8) Does he support The Fairness Doctrine? (Proposed by Dems)

    9) Does he support putting unions on company boards, and will he do this if elected?

    10) Will he let the Bush tax cuts expire in 2010?

    11) Will he raise SS taxes?

    12) Does he support the elimination of 401K tax exemption?

    13) If he is elected will he seek the line-item veto?

While you're asking questions, find out what Sarah Palin's GPA was at the 4 different community colleges and universities she attended when it took her 6 years to get a journalism degree. I'm wondering if the beauty pageants took so much time she forgot to go to class. And while you're looking up connections to radicals, tell us all about the meetings she attended with her husband the secessionist. It strikes me odd that someone with so much American pride belonged to group that wanted to secede and become it's own nation.

      • Posted By: mejl94will @ 11/01/2008 7:24:30 PM

At least she completed her degree. That's what the American Dream is about. Getting to your goal no matter how many obstacles you have to overcome. What doesn't kill you makes you stronger.

        • Posted By: Blue in AZ @ 11/01/2008 7:40:05 PM

Well, I have a bachelor's and 2 master's degrees and it only took me 9 years. Maybe it's "elitist" of me, but I want a President who might POSSIBLY be smarter than me.

          • Posted By: mejl94will @ 11/01/2008 8:07:26 PM

I wasn't speaking to her intelligence - I was speaking to her determination. Just because you have a lot of degrees doesn't mean that you have any common sense or emotional intelligence. Just the same as you don't have to have a college degree to make it in this country if you are truly talented & driven. THAT'S what the American dream is about - reaching our goals despite our limitations. EVERY SINGLE ONE OF US IN THIS COUNTRY HAVE A CHANCE TO MAKE IT - EVEN IF WE WERE BORN POOR, EVEN IF WE HAVE HAD TO FACE DISCRIMINATION. The same people that are crying to Obama for help are the same people who are so mindlessly beaten down that they don't realize that they are in the greatest country in the world and can make it if they give up woe is me "poverty-consciousness."

            • Posted By: Blue in AZ @ 11/02/2008 11:08:33 AM

wow, you should write motivational posters. You know, the ones that hang in guidance counselors' offices, with kittens hanging from tree limbs. YOU CAN DO IT!

              • Posted By: mejl94will @ 11/02/2008 2:39:33 PM

OH, and it's such a terrible thing to make people think that they can believe in themselves! Dear Sir, that "You Can Do It" attitude is what has propelled people to great heights - perhaps you should give it a try yourself!

            • Posted By: cody357 @ 11/02/2008 3:03:49 AM

well mejl94will that used to be the case, but with an economy that has seen the jobs that a person without a college degree disappear, with more people out of work than there are jobs to be had, with the cost of living rising but wages remaining stagnant,(except for the CEO's and members of our lawmaking houses), how can one realize the "American Dream" There are degreed persons at Call centers because of the lack of jobs in their fields!

          • Posted By: otherworld @ 11/01/2008 9:55:43 PM

As far as wishing for a President that is at least "POSSIBLY" smarter than YOU goes, Blue, I.pray to God for all of us that your wish is granted.

      • Posted By: Dianexyz @ 11/01/2008 6:34:50 PM

        Hi Blue,
I suppose we could say that she was determined to get her degree no matter the circumstances; to me that shows fortitude. You should consider reading The Case Against Barak Obama by David Freddoso. The rest seems irrelevant because at the moment I'm discussing Obama and want to know more about him.

        • Posted By: Blue in AZ @ 11/01/2008 6:40:37 PM

Then I suggest you read some more books, Diane. Perhaps a few books that challenge what you think rather than just reinforce it. I'm a librarian, I could suggest a few. But you probably won't trust the authors and their "liberal agenda". So, you know what, I won't waste my time. Nothing I say is going to change your mind.

          • Posted By: Dianexyz @ 11/01/2008 7:16:09 PM

            Hi Blue,
            I read many books.
Perhaps you could list for me why you like Obama.
I'll summarize why I don't like him for president mainly on his character (but I also disagree with many of his policies): A) He voted 3 times for infanticide in the IL senate, then said that he didn't. B) He attacks those who do not agree with him - Joe the plumber; news media that asks tough questions or don't support him. C) He has not been forthright about his anti-American friends, explaining why he has them and why he is different. D) He refuses to release his college transcripts and thesis. E) He agreed to take public financing then backed out. He allowed ads to hispanics that lied about what Rush Limbaugh said, and he allowed ads that say the McCain will reduce SS funding, scaring seniors, which McCain never said and denies.

            • Posted By: Blue in AZ @ 11/01/2008 7:30:10 PM

And your book took you all of this correct? Infanticide? I'm guessing you mean abortion rights, and you calling it infanticide only verifies my hunch that here is no point in trying to have an intelligent conversation about this. Joe the Plumber is joke and a bad one at that. If you want to hear personal attacks, I suggest you go to YouTube and type in either Palin or McCain. Maybe you should research his radical friends a little bit more, because several of them have also been funded by Republican organizations. why are they radicals with Obama but ok for McCain to associate with? I could care less about his grades, all I know if that he got into Harvard and graduated at the top of his class. Howe difficult was it for McCain to get into the Navy? And don't talk to me about Rush Limbaugh. the fact that you even brought up his name tells me enough.

              • Posted By: Dianexyz @ 11/01/2008 7:53:16 PM

                Hi Blue,
I'll close by saying that I seem to have hit a nerve and you are upset. I'm sorry. I'm just trying to better understand.
Forget R v W for the moment. It has been widely reported that Obama refused to support bills that would give right-to-life care for those born alive after abortions. I listened to a abortion nurse explain this in detail on the radio, the same nurse who testified in the IL Senate, the same nurse who held such a baby in a disposal room until it died.
.... I don't remember what else you said except about Limbaugh - the Reply Window covers your response.
You should try listening to Limbaugh. He is honest, funny and respectful, and always explains his reasoning as he reads the news of the day. We can always agree or disagree. He's on Noon to 3 PM EDT.

                • Posted By: TommyB53 @ 11/02/2008 11:21:53 AM

The reason Obama voted against that Illinois bill was because there was already a law on the books that covered the same subject. Several others including some Republicans also voted against it because they didn't want redundant legislation that made something illegal that was already illegal.

Rush Limbaugh is the Tokyo Rose of corporate greed and manipulation and the corporate war machine. A graduate with honors from the Musollini School of Government, he is no more pro-American than Lee Harvey Oswald. He just uses a microphone instead of a gun.

                • Posted By: apolloant @ 11/01/2008 8:09:46 PM

Rush, is a tool of the Liberal media, made to make any Right , even center, look like fools. A bigger hypocrite cannot be found. Blue is upset. I've been personally accused of being racist because I don't believe in Obama. Weak, b.s. excuse. He does not have the experience, period. America will never have a savior. We are too divided. It's almost as if we live in 2 or 3 different countries. Spirit help us.

                  • Posted By: Blue in AZ @ 11/02/2008 11:05:58 AM

And I've been accused of being sexist because I dare to call Palin out on anything negative. Note, it's never my questions that are sexist. It's the whole fact that I'm asking them. Maybe that's why McCain chose a woman, for the first time in history, Republicans can act like they care about sexism.

We are too divided. But that will change on Tuesday when Obama wins and the Dems take back the house.

                • Posted By: Blue in AZ @ 11/02/2008 10:59:36 AM

I'm not upset, I just know better than to waste my time arguing with someone who tells me to watch Rush Limbaugh. And if you did your research on the "infanticide "bill, you'd know that Obama would have supported it IF it had a neutrality clause that wouldn't change other laws regarding abortions. As it was written, the bill would have given legal status or rights to ANYONE prior being "born alive". Which would be an argument to overturn Roe V Wade. You're being swayed by emotional propaganda.

              • Posted By: voterundecided @ 11/02/2008 12:02:14 AM

Or maybe even research Sarah Palin's associations with the witch hunting minister who annointed her campaign for Governor. Talk about questionable associations! I have been extensively researching both candidates and their running mates and the issues propelling their campaigns to help me come to a decision on this election. I can tell you - there is much more to fear from McCain/Palin than from Obama/Biden! However, Obama is running a respectable campaign so he isn't bringing up all the issues of concern, especially about Sarah Palin becuase she would start crying "sexism", "double standard", etc. Obama believes that his position on the issues should be the most prevailing point people take away from his campaign, not how he talked nasty about his opponents. So sad they all don't come from that perspective.

Hi Blue, I noticed how Diane side-stepped the question concerning the Palins association with the Alaskan Independence Party (AIP), which wanted to secede from the United States and which the Palins supported. Or McCain's friendship and praise of Gordon Liddy...

            • Posted By: Dianexyz @ 11/01/2008 7:32:59 PM

Read up, there's a lot of disconnect between McCain/Palin's attacks and their personal deeds. In these last few days they are throwing everything they can at Obama, it's truly sickening.

Mmmhmm...I guess it's only patriotic to ask questions about democrats and liberals and Republicans shouldn't have to answer for their own. Anyway, it's been fun. Maybe I'll come back and antagonize some more some other time. :)

          • Posted By: Dianexyz @ 11/01/2008 7:26:41 PM

            Hi Blue,
I'll try to answer your question. Based on Palin's decision making experiences as a mayor and governor I currently trust her more to make a sensible decision more than Obama - they will both have many experienced advisors - given that Obama has already made several foreign policy mistakes. Biden is experienced but he has also mixed up several events saying with strong conviction things that are not true, suggesting that he might jump to a decision before having his memory corrected.

            • Posted By: Blue in AZ @ 11/01/2008 7:42:41 PM

My high school graduating class had more people than Wasilla. And Alaska only has 600,000 people in the entire state. Whoop de freaking do. At least Obama has had the opportunity to make foreign policy mistakes, Palin just got her passport last year.

Well, even if I cared about Obama's GPA, anything I post will be jumped all over for being the answer of the liberal elite media. Diane can do her own research, it's not hard to find those answers if you know where to look.

As far as I'm concerned they ALL are, since the VP is just as important as the president. However, unlike Palin, Obama has been vetted for two years, interviewed a myriad of times, attended more than a dozen televised debates and done the Sunday morning grilling rounds. And as it became obvious in the last three debates, Obama has more presidential mettle and knowledge than McCain does. After all, McCain is the same candidate who didn't know the difference between Shiites and Sunnis... the same man who has supported this war for six years and wants take it over. This is liek a bar tender who doesn't know the difference between rum and whiskey!

Palin? Zero Sunday rounds, a handful of interviews of which 1/3 were soft-balled by Fox News, 1/3 chaperoned by McCain and those she did alone she managed to bomb royally on each.

No disrespect guys, but we know you know she is not ready. Drop the act. : )

What does redistributive mean. Well, remember that it was the Left-Wing of the Supreme Court that brought us this little jewel, holding that the government could take your real property, like your home, not for public use, but to give to another private individual, such as a political contributor or other party hack or interest group.

Kelo v. City of New London, 545 U.S. 469 (2005), was a case decided by the Supreme Court of the United States involving the use of eminent domain to transfer land from one private owner to another to further economic development. The case arose from the condemnation by New London, Connecticut, of privately owned real property so that it could be used as part of a comprehensive redevelopment plan. The Court held in a 5-4 decision that the general benefits a community enjoyed from economic growth qualified such redevelopment plans as a permissible "public use" under the Takings Clause of the Fifth Amendment. Justice John Paul Stevens wrote the majority opinion; he was joined by Justices Anthony Kennedy, David Souter, Ruth Bader Ginsburg and Stephen Breyer

The decision was widely criticized by American politicians and the general public. Many members of the general public viewed the outcome as a gross violation of property rights and as a misinterpretation of the Fifth Amendment, the consequence of which would be to benefit large corporations at the expense of individual homeowners and local communities. Some in the legal profession construe the public's outrage as being directed not at the interpretation of legal principles involved in the case, but at the broad moral principles of the general outcome.

Watched Fox ???News??? 11/1 for perspective. Got that and some chills.

LIVs have gotten notice lately, but the real scary ones are the Propaganda Dupes.

Paul Gigot was interviewing someone named Dorothy; didn???t get her last name.

    *********

PG: ???We???re back with a look at what???s really at stake, where each candidate really stands. Dorothy, for you what are the really big differences, the defining issues here????

Dorothy: ???The differences are attitudinal and political. Basically: how do you feel about our place in the world. We???ve seen a regular line from Mr. Obama in which he seems to indicate that the opinions of the U.S. held IN THE FASHIONABLE SALONS OF THE LEFT all over Europe, and IN ACADEMIA, and IN THE DARK CHAMBERS OF OUR ENEMIES, are something he understands too well.

???In fact, I suspect we will find a SQUISHY, as some would put it, MULTILATERALISM, AT BEST.???

PG: ???Why can???t McCain exploit that? Because in past elections that would have been a really costly position for a Democrat to take.???

Dorothy: ???He simply has not been willing to say: THIS IS HOW OUR ENEMIES SPEAK.???

PG: ???But Dorothy, if he had said that, the PRESS WOULD JUST HAVE ANNIHILATED HIM!???

Dorothy: ???He [McC] has this weakness, MORAL VANITY, SENSITIVITY. He fears what the press will think of him, instead of understanding it.???

???McCain is so clearly who is not receptive TO THE IDEAS OF OUR ENEMIES.???

???Obama said, the first thing he said was, what will you do when you go abroad: Ah, I will go abroad and make amends TO OUR ENEMIES???to others in the world. He sees us as a fallen nation.???

    **********
    ???Fair and balanced??????

I have seen other manifestations of the propaganda machine in those ubiquitous viral smear emails, but I have now a better appreciation for the vituperation we are seeing from the Propaganda Dupes.

Lord, help us all on Tuesday!

I???m going to take Bass Pro???s idea. I???m going to watch the election coverage on Fox ???News??? Tuesday.

When was the last time anyone has seen Cindy McCain in a Walmart? Answer- NEVER. When your dressed in prada and jimmy choo's, what the hell do you have to lose? Women aren't buying it this time. Why can't republicans see this. We're the one's who do the family budget, get a damned clue. I hate shopping at Walmart, but sometimes it's a given. Check your wallets, and check books. That should give you the answer your looking for.

There were two studies just released that say the media are overwhelmingly biased. Truthor bull just went into a tirade over this. Tell me one issue where you saw ANYONE say, " This is objectively Canidate A's position and this is Canidate B's position. Decide."

I don't care if you support one or the other on the issues but a presidential election shouldn't be decided over sophistry. And Morrigan, I am a completly rational person too and for the life of me I don't understand how anyone with an ounce of humanity can vote for a canidate or his part that supports so whole heartedly the death of over one and a half million people a year. Yes, it is one issue, but to me it trumps whether the man wants to raise taxes on the middle class.

With all due respect DaveDiana, Senator Obama does not support the death of millions...nor do Democrats for that matter. What Senator Obama supports is a woman's right to choose when faced with such a difficult decision as to whether to complete a pregnancy. No one supports abortion, just the right of women to choose what they will do when faced with that decision. I hope you understand my reason for not voting for McCain/Palin is not a tirade but a decision made because they simply did not give the American public any substantial reason to support their Campaign.

What about the wars that McCain wants to keep going? Howmany Iraqi's people have to die for our victory? It doesn't matter how many pregnant women, children , and ol dpeople have died there duing an illegal war does it, as long as it it not in your back yard? Thou shall not kill, means thou shall not kill., not just during aboution. Your Comment

There's no doubt that in the primaries the media, even the conservative media, attacked Clinton and fawned over Obama. Shortly thereafter conservative media and fundamentalist religious organizations went right on to be surrogates for McCain-Palin in attacking Obama down to spreading bizarre lies about his birth and religion and egging all sorts of disturbing bigots on. If the GOP wants to know why it's going down, all they need to do is look at the hold the fundamentalists now have on them. DOn't see how psychotically disturnbed it's become? Then all you need to do is look at Liddy Dole's most recent campaign ads.

You mean Liddy the Carpetbagger said something bad? When did she have time to come to North Carolina to do such a horrible thing? My goodness, lol.

Loved the two old coots in rocking chairs though. That was to the point, without being blatantly nasty, viscious, or patently false. "She's not a go getter like us" LOL

"But ultimately what the bailout does is help those who are concerned about the healthcare reform that is needed to help shore up our economy." --Sarah Palin, explaining the $700 billion government bailout of Wall Street to Karie Couric, CBS News interview, Sept. 24, 2008

Oil and coal? Of course, its a fungible commodity and they dont flag, you know, the molecules, where its going and where its not. But in the sense of the Congress today, they know that there are very, very hungry domestic markets that need that oil first. So, I believe that what Congress is going to do, also, is not to allow the export bans to such a degree that its Americans that get stuck to holding the bag without the energy source that is produced here, pumped here. Its got to flow into our domestic markets first." --Sarah Palin, billed by John McCain as the nation's foremost expert on energy, speaking off the cuff at a town hall meeting, Grand Rapids, Michigan, Sept. 17, 2008

I am sick and tired of the pld politics. Thow some of the closed minded obstructive Repulblicans, who care more about making a point than servinfthe people. The people do not like what they did in 2006, so the Democratic House marjority would look bad. They were sucessful filbustering so nothing would get passed,. However, it showed they forgot why they were there. For the peoplenot to make Peloski and Reed look bad. It was very childest. Those who were a part of this should not be elected back. The people will speak on Tuesday, November 4,2008

The assumptions about Wal-Mart women both in the article and by the posters here are appalling. Perhaps someone should research just how many women working at Wal-Mart do have a degree and I am not talking about those in the management program. I am talking about Wal-Mart "associates."

    • Posted By: Johnsonium @ 11/02/2008 12:57:37 PM

"Wal-Mart women" doesn't refer to women who work there. It's women who shop there.

Maybe PALIN should have shopped there! LOL

This Target shopper would never vote for McCain-Palin! My advice: Don't buy cheap plastic crap at Malwart and don't vote for the Republican cheap plastic candidates! Gobama and Franken!

Gingrich is irrelevant, but it is interesting that in his attempt to discredit the American media he called it "Truth", which is what the Russian word "Pravda" means.
