I agree. The Cons are idiots.
I know...those damn conservatives, less than ethical and morally corrupt, elitis and opportunist Pubs........when will they ever learn the majority of Americans can see right through their fat-cat politics. Repub's seek fortune, power, and to hell with the little guy. Democrats are a hard working and honestly ethical concerned party and would spare and share the power, which was suppose to be governed by the people not by those seeking power and how much money could be made off of middle America and keeping those less fortunate down and out.
The constitution reads..."WE the people..." not "ME the people..." ...remember all you Pub's!
This "Target" woman would never vote for palin or McCain! My advice don't shop at Malwart, and say NO to McCain-Palin!
I'm a twenty-something woman Democrat, and from my view here, blaming the media in the end for these 'reasons' is so clearly a cheap cop-out for not truly fulfilling a party's potential. If you boiled me down, you would see I'm more in the middle between parties, but the Republicans have just not stepped up to the plate in any way that restores my respect. They continually throw cheap swings, use sensationalism to 'shock' us into wanting to vote for them. I guarantee at this point, the Republican party is not going to win me over with fear-tactics against the Dems. What do they *think* I care about? What the Dems have done or what the Republicans CAN do? It's just so very pathetic, this approach they are taking, and so clearly geared toward an older generation who responds to these kind of tactics that will be the downfall of them with this new generation. If they really wanted to win, they would have pulled themselves together and tackled some REAL issues.
The Republicans are acting like the drunk, desperate girl you took home and now is just too pathetic to have sex with. Talk about a turn off.
PS: As a woman, I have noticed no more sexism in the media against Palin than the same that 'prominent' men earn when they do something half-assed and everyone praises them for their 'bold effforts'. The election, and politics for that matter, is NOT about sex until you make it about that. This is not a man's or woman's subject, is a CITIZENS subject, and whoever involves themselves in any election shall be subjected to severe scrutiny. Even she saw that coming, and being a woman is no excuse.
'Wal-Mart' women: the tone and tenor of this article is not surprising seeing as how the liberl Demos destroyed Hillary and then turned their guns on Palin. Oddly enough, 'feminists' will still probably vote Democrat, regardless of the fact they have been shown that the true face of the Demo party is one of sexism.
Hypocrisy is still alive and well in the liberal camp.
Critiques of Palin have nothing to do with sexism. It has everything to do with wanting a president that knows the very minimum about the issues.
"Oddly enough, 'feminists' will still probably vote Democrat, regardless of the fact they have been shown that the true face of the Demo party is one of sexism." You betch ya cowboy! Feminists and ALL women with half intelligence won't go near the likes of Palin, she's ignorant and has attracted nothing but negative press on her own behalf.
Then Palin has the gaull to claim she represents the women in the country!!! Ahhh NOT!
There are plenty of us that are educated and well spoken, with integrity and ethical character.
Thank you very much....OBAMA n 2008! It's a done deal. Many women in line with me voting yesterday morning were all Obama, except for these two cute little old ladies.
I'm a woman who voted for Hillary, and I don't think it is sexist at all! When Palin was brought we had the same right to make sure she's qualified as we would with a man. Her lack of knowledge of knowing what the VP does, her thinking that because she lives in Alaska she's qualified in foreign policy, her belief that fruit flies are an unnecessary pork barrel resource, her not knowing what she does in the senate, her never having been to a foreign country until this year, and her not knowing the names of the foreign leaders, as well as her own pork barrel projects in Alaska are all fair game. Frankly, I want a woman or man who is able to string a full sentence together, which she hasn't been able to do. Unless she's given a speech, she can't seem to articulate her thoughts and that is scary. As for the discussion on the clothes and her travel with her children on official business, it all goes to the image that the Republicans have been trying to foist on us about Sarah that she's a middle class hockeymom.
Hear Obama and Clinton for yourself, in their own words with out the filter of someone else's opinion..
Bill Clinton says Democrats failure to allow Republicans to regulate Freddie and Fannie caused economic melt down.
so. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XsynspIqAoE
Obama in this video, addressing his community activist work and his work representing ACORN in litigation against the banks and relating to the Community Reinvestment Act, and addressing the failure of Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae as those actions relate to the destruction of our economy by causing the current real estate and subsequent financial crisis, states that, and I quote:
"Subprime lending started out as a good idea, helping Americans buy homes who previously could not afford to. Financial institutions created new financial instruments that could securitize these loans, slice them into finer and finer risk categories, and spread them out among investors and around the country, as well as around the world. In theory, this should have allowed mortgage lending to be less risky, and more diversified."
Acknowledging the catastrophe, but as apologist for the Democrats, Obama then offers this justification.
"The original idea was a good one, which was, lets see if we can distribute risk more broadly, and make it easier to provide loans to people who otherwise might not be able to get one."
Yah, great idea. Economically unsound, but embraced by Obama. Listen for yourself. You cannot dispute the mans on words recorded live:

And here is Obama again, stating
"And I think one of the tragedies of the civil rights movement was that the civil rights movement became so court-focused, I think there was a tendency to lose track of the political and organizing activities on the ground that are able to bring about the coalitions of power through which you bring about redistributive change, and in some ways we still suffer from that,"

Wow...you put a lot of work into a rebuttal, but guess what....I'm still not biting. Vote Obama in 08....I DID!
Metropony...
In response to the 'negative bashing' and 'harsh' talk against Palin, I was going to reiterate the same thing you wrote; thus, why bother. You've said it all.
OBAMA 2008
To those who think McCain is getting an unfair shake in the coverage, at least consider the fact that He, Palin, and his campaign as a whole have provided a buffet of negative material to the press. Obama's campaign is a very well-oiled machine that (aside of Biden "Gaffes") hasn't given or leaked anything close to the kind of stuff that you see coming out of McCain's. You could pour through the tapes of Obama stump speeches and not find a single slip up as bad as McCain's "My Fellow Prisoners" and "My opponent has been saying some pretty nasty things about Western Penn, and I couldn't agree more!" Palin is like a gift from God to late night comics, and she was / has been uncharted territory for everyone else in the media. It's like, here is a relatively unknown person who everyone has reason to be nervous about. Could they have "skewered" Biden the same way after his long political career and Presidential run? Of course not.
Yeah, there's no media bias is there Newsweek?
No there isn't.
Wow, scary.
As long as the GOP thinks they can define the American Public, instead of understanding them, they will become more meaningless as time passes. Joe the Plumber, Bob the Barber, and Mack the Knife are fictional characters. You blindly and wildly cheer for fictional characters, while espousing disdain for real people? Interesting. Personally, I prefer "Christine the Teacher in Space"...
What most see is desperation, at a time when the country needs honesty and leadership. Continuing to listen to a washed up warhorse like Gingrich, who thinks the American media is from Russia (disengagement is the process between mouth and brain needed to tout the Contract on America with a straight face). Social Security is THE Contract with America.
Election 2008 is the GOP's Don Quixote moment. Keep attacking windmills and you will soon understand the expression "the Vanishing Sight of America". It will appear farther away with each national pulse. Instead of pointing fingers and screaming, maybe try self-revelation and discovery. GOP policies, decisions, unbridled spending, incompetent management, divisiveness, and unilateral aggression, are lacking, and have done great damage to America. You may slime yet another election with cynical Rovian tactics, but this impotence has been discovered.
Most of us understand when you irrationally state that criticism is a communist act. It's not, it's very American, and has been solid over many generations, as it keeps charlatans, crooks and incompetents at bay. You keep asking for unfettered control with the false promise of "Trust Us". See how well that works in the future, now that you've been discovered. Alas, the fourth rail needs to rediscover its' true purpose, so you aren't alone.
When you had opportunity to correct course in time for this election, you continued to bull headedly refuse to admit mistakes; the failures of Iraq, Katrina and the economy, and red-faced, with veins popping out on your forehead, shout you are being unfairly treated by the media. You learned nothing from disaster, why should we believe you can learn from the ordinary? One definition of insanity: "Doing the same thing over and over, but expecting a different result." Wear it. Own it.
In the final analysis, the central issue is not abortion. Better to approach this through national referendum, where rational people work through the details, separately from the governance of the country. Using the election as a vehicle of referendum, is not acceptable, as it wrongfully puts us on a path that abortion is the epitome of American governance. It???s not.
If you cannot separate your opinion from the overall welfare of the American people, you are on a crusade that leads to ashes and ruin. For many years, the GOP has shamelessly used abortion like a Trojan Horse, delivering this bomb inside that has damaged most things American. This must end.
Long live The Teacher in Space. Ma
People should listen to the recording of this phone call between Palin and a comedian pretending to be French President Sarkozy.
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/21134540/vp=27491253
I have to say, Palin sounds like a nice, conciliatory person, but she also sounds as dumb as a rock. It is incomprehensible that she didn't realize that it wasn't Sarkozy, especially when he referred to "Nailin' Palin" and the fact that his wife was good in bed.
But worse than her failure to recognize the prank is the fact that when Sarkozy referred to the Prime Minister of Canada using the name of a rock star, Palin didn't even get it -- apparently she does not even know the name of Canada's Prime Minister -- despite the fact that you can see Canada from Alaska. (Ahem.)
Poor Sarah. She's in this way over her head.
I'm not a fan of Newt Gingrich but he is partially right in blaming the press. If you had to grade the press coverage for this election it would be a solid "D-" . They have been biased infavor of Obama from the very beginning. The country saw the biased but the press was blind to it. They were to wrapped up in" the historic moment in history, or "history being made". It took satire form SNL to finally get the press to see they're own shortcomings. And that was shortlived. Left to their own governance they went back to swooning all over Barak. The coverage is still biased. Seldom do we hear the major gaffes of Biden, but we now know what Sarah Palin paid for a handbag. The explanation is always the same, :"We know al ot about Biden but so little about Palin". That excuse is as lame is it can get. There are many new voters that were to young to remember Bidens previous failed attempts at running for president, or his withdrwal for plagiarism. This seems to be forgotten by the press.
As I read Eleanor Clift iicome to believe she is writing while wearing her rose colored glasses , the same as most of the press covering this election. Wonder how many have the "vote for obama " bumper sticker on their car while they say they are maintaing their objectivity.
There's no bias. It's simply a canard. The sour grapes begins early.
The last time the Democratic Party won the Presidential election from the Republicans was in 1992. but the last Presidential election they won (ignoring the mess of 2000) was in 1996.
Um....Robert Dole was a Republican. I hate to break it to you.
Idiots.

Comment: Newt Gingriches reference to the media as "Pravda". If that is the case, then the Republican party is the Politburo. Quit whining liberal media bias when it was all good for the "W" in '00 and '04, not to mention McCain being a darling in '00. Get a grip! It is a corporate media, run by conservatives. There is no imagined media liberal bias - just more Republican paranoia.
Study finds Media has Betray Trust of American People
Newsweek Article:
Study: Media coverage has favored Obama campaign
Study finds comments on evening newscasts over the past two months favored the Obama campaign
"For whatever reason, the media are portraying Barack Obama as a better choice for president than John McCain," said Robert Lichter, a George Mason University professor and head of the center. "If you watch the evening news, you'd think you should vote for Obama."
http://www.newsweek.com/id/165218
"A former Newsweek reporter admitted in an article this week that he has no objectivity and imagined disabling Rudy Giuliani so he wouldn't run in the presidential primary race last year.
Michael Hastings wrote in GQ magazine that he had a "recurring fantasy" that he could somehow stop the former New York City mayor in his tracks.
"I quickly realized Rudy was a maniac. I had a recurring fantasy in which I took him out during a press conference (it was nonlethal, just something that put him out of commission for a year or so), saving America from the horror of a President Giuliani. If that sounds like I had some trouble being 'objective,' I did. Objectivity is a fallacy," he said."

Give up. You've lost. Your copy-and-paste efforts have failed.
In the exchange with "Joe the plumber" Obama unintentionally revealed that he really is as radical as his early political mentors and acquaintances, Davis, Ayers, Wright, Khalidi etc., (gee, there sure seem to be a lot of them) and that he is into the failed economic policy of wealth redistribution. Now there is absolute proof. In 2001, Obama, the "community organizer" turned legislator, said in an interview:
"And I think one of the tragedies of the civil rights movement was that the civil rights movement became so court-focused, I think there was a tendency to lose track of the political and organizing activities on the ground that are able to bring about the coalitions of power through which you bring about redistributive change, and in some ways we still suffer from that,"

Obama's tax and spending plans alone would be bad enough, but add Reid and Pelosi to the mix, with the three of them controlling both houses of Congress and the executive branch without any effective restraint, and you have something that should causes concern even among moderate Democrats.
See Wall Street Journal: A Liberal Supermajority:
http://online.wsj.com/article/SB122420205889842989.html
Indeed, some democrats are publically saying as much. See Barney Franks comments on the news, including face the nation last week, stating essentially that Democrats in Congress intend to greatly raise taxes and go on a spending spree.

See http://www.taxfoundation.org/blog/show/23617.html
Obama's ill-conceived programs will require him to tax, and his health care plan alone is a substantial hidden tax on all business, large an small. In reality, it does not really matter who he taxes, those taxes are going to be passed through the economy. He has to tax, because it is they only way he can pay for his massive social engineering experiments. Any first year economics student knows that taxation is a tool used to contract an economy experiencing inflation, because it reduces demand by reducing the amount of money individuals and businesses have to spend. It is contractionary, which is exactly what you do not want to do when the problem is that the economy is contracting already into recession. Like Hoover and FDR, Obama's plans will only make it worse for longer.

Obama and a supermajority of Democrats simply is not the change we need, nor is it change we can afford.
Give up. You're going to lose. Very soon, all of America will know that Obama is a great president and not the boogey man you Cons pretend he is.
Obama may have socialize with some shady people, But so has McCain. I been searching though a lot of video's, newspapers and such. They both have a little dirt behind their back door, as far as that goes.
I truely believe that Obama is for the Middle Class and Poor, While McCain has been mostly for the Rich. McCain has flip-flop on so many issues it isn't funny anymore. Look at what he said back in 2000. Actually video clips don't lie.
Palin is a whack job, she lead on like she's for the people. Yea Right. She's for anything that will get her ahead. Even if she has to abuse her power to do it. Never like what she stood for, never will. If she ever runs in 2012 she sure wouldn't get my vote. Hillary would be a better President then her anyday.
WELL SAID BILL COSBY !!
'They're standing on the corner and they can't speak English.
I can't even talk the way these people talk:
Why you ain't,
Where you is,
What he drive,
Where he stay,
Where he work,
Who you be...
And I blamed the kid until I heard the mother talk.
And then I heard the father talk.
Everybody knows it's important to speak English except these knuckleheads.
You can't be a doctor with that kind of crap coming out of your mouth.
In fact you will never get any kind of job making a decent living.
People marched and were hit in the face with rocks to get an Education, and now
We've got these knuckleheads walking around.
The lower economic people are not holding up their end in this deal.
These people are not parenting. They are buying things for kids.
$500 sneakers for what?
And they won't spend $200 for Hooked on Phonics.
I am talking about these people who cry when their son is standing there in an orange suit.
Where were you when he was 2?
Where were you when he was 12?
Where were you when he was 18 and how come you didn't know that he had a pistol?
And where is the father? Or who is his father?
People putting their clothes on backward:
Isn't that a sign of something gone wrong?
People with their hats on backward, pants down around the crack, isn't that a sign of something?
Isn't it a sign of something when she has her dress all the way up and got all type of needles [piercing] going through her body?
What part of Africa did this come from??
We are not Africans. Those people are not Africans; they don't know a thing about Africa ...
I say this all of the time. It would be like white people saying they are European-American. That is totally stupid.
I was born here, and so were my parents and grand parents and, very likely my great grandparents. I don't have any connection to Africa, no more than white Americans have to Germany , Scotland , England , Ireland , or the Netherlands . The same applies to 99 percent of all the black Americans as regards to Africa . So stop, already! ! !
With names like Shaniqua, Taliqua and Mohammed and all of that crap .....And all of them are in jail.
Brown or black versus the Board of Education is no longer the white person's problem.
We have got to take the neighborhood back.
People used to be ashamed. Today a woman has eight children with eight different 'husbands' -- or men or whatever you call them now.
We have millionaire football players who cannot read.
We have million-dollar basketball players who can't write two paragraphs. We, as black folks have to do a better job.
Someone working at Wal-Mart with seven kids, you are hurting us.
We have to start holding each other to a higher standard.
We cannot blame the white people any longer.'
Dr. William Henry 'Bill' Cosby, Jr., Ed.D.
And Canadian , you said all this this to say what?? Are you denigrating ALL Black people,? Do you consider all White people speak the kings English or parent their children perfectly, or dress correctly? There are those in West Virginia and parts of Kentucky who have children with family members. Their are whole Trailer parks that have the same traits that you listed full of joe the six packs and faux plumbers!
He is just another Neo Con.

He wins 63 percent of voters between the ages of 18 and 29. For the Republicans, "It's not just a lost election, it's a lost generation," says Greenberg."
NO Mr. Greenberg the Republicans have not lost a generation, my generation is Non-Partisan. We are the generation of reality television, of 24 hour news cycle, we are the most informed and tolerant generation in history. We for the first time as a majority are taking part in this election and we as a majority have chosen Sen. Barack Obama. Not because he is cool or because he can spin a good line, because he represents and is the first step to our type of politics, a type of politics that sores above cheap shots and does not play the game of political party labeling. Any party or politician that insults our intelligence by trying to sale ???Joe the plumber??? or scare us with middle names, is pathetic and disgraceful. You have to put extra effort in, if you want to bull *** my generation and I would suggest not trying at all. Mr. Greenberg my generation isn???t owned by the Democrats but my generation will bring the death to Karl Rove politics, forcing the Republicans to find a new path for winning an election.
The Republicnas will have to be for something again to get your vote I believe.
The Democrats will have to keep promises and get results, I believe.
I doubt the republicans can haul their cart down the road.
It's hard to overcome a democratic/voting electorate that is largely 'functionally illiterate' w/regard to who Obama is, and what he represents.
My questions about Obama are:
1A) What was his undergraduate final GPA? 1B) What was his Harvard Grad final GPA?
2A) Is he licensed to practice law? If so, where? 2B) Did he fail any license exams?
3) Who paid his Harvard tuition (who is he beholden to?)?
4) Given his long list of radical friends/close associates, does he have any friends/close associates that are not radicals?
5) Since Obama believes trickle-up economy works can he give an example of how it worked in the past? (I believe that unfettered trickle-down works every time.)
6) What is the income limit for no income taxes or a rebate? ($250K? $200K? $150K? $120K? It keeps changing.)
7) Does he support eliminating the secret ballot for unions? (Bill in congress)
8) Does he support The Fairness Doctrine? (Proposed by Dems)
9) Does he support putting unions on company boards, and will he do this if elected?
10) Will he let the Bush tax cuts expire in 2010?
11) Will he raise SS taxes?
12) Does he support the elimination of 401K tax exemption?
13) If he is elected will he seek the line-item veto?
Oh, please don't forget...what is the average flight speed of the African Swallow?
All of your answers are on the internet. Damn it do some REAL research.
These are the last ditch attempts at sewing seeds of doubt. I have some doubts about the D's, but voted for them.
It was the complete lack of doubts about the fascism of the R's. Randy Schunemann sells wars. He is McCains boy. McCain said there would be more wars.
I am sick of the cowboys of torture.
Gee lady, I hope you get your answers figured out before election day. But you're the type of person who's a procrastinator, so you'll vote by the last thing you see before you go to bed. If you would research instead of writing on blogs, that might be a clue.
