Obama in this video, addressing his community activist work and his work representing ACORN in litigation against the banks and relating to the Community Reinvestment Act, and addressing the failure of Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae as those actions relate to the destruction of our economy by causing the current real estate and subsequent financial crisis, states that, and I quote:

"Subprime lending started out as a good idea, helping Americans buy homes who previously could not afford to. Financial institutions created new financial instruments that could securitize these loans, slice them into finer and finer risk categories, and spread them out among investors and around the country, as well as around the world. In theory, this should have allowed mortgage lending to be less risky, and more diversified."

Acknowledging the catastrophe, but as apologist for the Democrats, Obama then offers this justification.

"The original idea was a good one, which was, lets see if we can distribute risk more broadly, and make it easier to provide loans to people who otherwise might not be able to get one."

I'm not a fan of Newt Gingrich but he is partially right in blaming the press. If you had to grade the press coverage for this election it would be a solid "D-" . They have been biased infavor of Obama from the very beginning. The country saw the biased but the press was blind to it. They were to wrapped up in" the historic moment in history, or "history being made". It took satire form SNL to finally get the press to see they're own shortcomings. And that was shortlived. Left to their own governance they went back to swooning all over Barak. The coverage is still biased. Seldom do we hear the major gaffes of Biden, but we now know what Sarah Palin paid for a handbag. The explanation is always the same, :"We know al ot about Biden but so little about Palin". That excuse is as lame is it can get. There are many new voters that were to young to remember Bidens previous failed attempts at running for president, or his withdrwal for plagiarism. This seems to be forgotten by the press.

As I read Eleanor Clift iicome to believe she is writing while wearing her rose colored glasses , the same as most of the press covering this election. Wonder how many have the "vote for obama " bumper sticker on their car while they say they are maintaing their objectivity.

The last time the Democratic Party won the Presidential election from the Republicans was in 1992. but the last Presidential election they won (ignoring the mess of 2000) was in 1996.

Obama's tax and spending plans alone would be bad enough, but add Reid and Pelosi to the mix, with the three of them controlling both houses of Congress and the executive branch without any effective restraint, and you have something that should causes concern even among moderate Democrats.

Obama's ill-conceived programs will require him to tax, and his health care plan alone is a substantial hidden tax on all business, large an small. In reality, it does not really matter who he taxes, those taxes are going to be passed through the economy. He has to tax, because it is they only way he can pay for his massive social engineering experiments. Any first year economics student knows that taxation is a tool used to contract an economy experiencing inflation, because it reduces demand by reducing the amount of money individuals and businesses have to spend. It is contractionary, which is exactly what you do not want to do when the problem is that the economy is contracting already into recession. Like Hoover and FDR, Obama's plans will only make it worse for longer.

We are the generation of reality television, of 24 hour news cycle, we are the most informed and tolerant generation in history. We for the first time as a majority are taking part in this election and we as a majority have chosen Sen. Barack Obama. Not because he is cool or because he can spin a good line, because he represents and is the first step to our type of politics, a type of politics that sores above cheap shots and does not play the game of political party labeling. Any party or politician that insults our intelligence by trying to sale ???Joe the plumber??? or scare us with middle names, is pathetic and disgraceful. You have to put extra effort in, if you want to bull *** my generation and I would suggest not trying at all. Mr. Greenberg my generation isn???t owned by the Democrats but my generation will bring the death to Karl Rove politics, forcing the Republicans to find a new path for winning an election.

It's hard to overcome a democratic/voting electorate that is largely 'functionally illiterate' w/regard to who Obama is, and what he represents.

My questions about Obama are:

1A) What was his undergraduate final GPA? 1B) What was his Harvard Grad final GPA?

2A) Is he licensed to practice law? If so, where? 2B) Did he fail any license exams?

3) Who paid his Harvard tuition (who is he beholden to?)?

4) Given his long list of radical friends/close associates, does he have any friends/close associates that are not radicals?

5) Since Obama believes trickle-up economy works can he give an example of how it worked in the past? (I believe that unfettered trickle-down works every time.)

6) What is the income limit for no income taxes or a rebate? ($250K? $200K? $150K? $120K? It keeps changing.)

7) Does he support eliminating the secret ballot for unions? (Bill in congress)

8) Does he support The Fairness Doctrine? (Proposed by Dems)

9) Does he support putting unions on company boards, and will he do this if elected?

10) Will he let the Bush tax cuts expire in 2010?

11) Will he raise SS taxes?

12) Does he support the elimination of 401K tax exemption?

13) If he is elected will he seek the line-item veto?
