I went to school for political sciece, nasty nasty buisness. Although i graduated I chose not to seek a career in the political system after some involvement in local campaigns. One thing has always troubled me about the presidency and all elected contests. Candidates and thier partys spend millions of dollars to attempt to win a job that pays far far less. Makes me wonder why they run. Some people i have met run simply because they want to fix problems they see around them, Other people it is a carreer, and hey they aren't spending their money anyway. Some people just like the title, influece and power. Unfortunately, the people who really want to fix something don't win. The reason???? I think the reason is anyone with character can't run a campaign that will wow the people, conjure up deep seeded emotional hatreds for other people, and basicly just bs the populouse while avoiding the actual problems.

I have traveled all over the world. I don't think people understand what Obama is about. I was in Moscow in 1983. People were standing in long lines for toilet paper. They were only given 1 roll. You were not allowed more. Then, you stood in another line to get a loaf of bread on the other side of town! The government controlled everything. I was not allowed to go and talk to anyone or take pictures, except of buildings and such. I was allowed to shop only in the 'intourist" shops, which the local russians were not allowed to go in to. I could buy anything. I got to know the sweet people at the hotels and our intourist guide who had to go everywhere with us. It was sad to see. The government controlled everything. Let's look at the Canadian Health Care System === why do you think so many come to the USA for the more risky surgeries? Because they are refused in their country. If you are over 70 and have cancer, you are considered dead. They will not spend the money on you...it's too risky. I do not want that kind of system in the USA. We need to come up with a plan, but i don't want the government sticking their nose where it doesn't belong. We Americans don't appreciate what we have, everyone should have to travel to these oppressed countries to see what is going on. Our freedoms are being taken away 1 at a time. No one wants to do anything, unless it pertains to you personally. WAKE UP PEOPLE.

Try doing a little reading, you may just learn something. The majority of the research done on the media's reporting of politcal news in the last 10 years has clearly shown a conservative, republican bias not the other way around as so many conservatives claim. Simply type "liberal media myth" into a search engine and you will get tons of info on the right wing myth of the so-called liberal media.
