I agree with DennCiot. Even if Obama was not born in the U. S,, he is still a citizen because his mother is an American citizen. Barack Obama is a very intelligent man and so are the people who work with him. Do you really think he would have gotten this far and not be a citizen? Come on now. I am so tired of all of these rumors going around about him. He is an American citizen. He is a Christian. If he were a Muslim, why would that be a big deal. I don't remember there being any religious requirements for being President.. I think all of these rumors are fostered by small minded people who don't want to give him a chance because he's black. But he's only half black mind you, and he was raised by the white side of his family. Do you think that he's going to do anything that catastrophic to hurt the white people of our country if he's elected? I think just the opposite. I think he''s going to try to help ALL people because he is multicultural. He is the perfect mix to ensure understanding of both sides. This is the first time in history when we are possibly goin g to have a president that TRULY understands what is like to be both white and black in this coulntry. We gave all of the other presidents (all white) a chance. My God! Give the man a break!

Our politicians (all) create smear campaigns (which all either lie or skew the truth) as a result of the fact that we don't believe them when they tell us what good things they want to do (presumably because they have traditionally lied about that crap too). Well, clearly people listen when they dis each other. The only real truth here is that you shouldn't trust even what your favorite candidate says about the other because even if he is a generally decent man (which I personally believe both candidates are this year) they are succumbing to a lot of pressures and false information that they hear. The things we have heard that are meant to titillate - I can almost guarantee that regardless of who it's about, there is a lack of truth occuring. Obama is not a saint just because he's for the little guy. He is also not a terrorist. Period. McCain is not a beast just because he's been a prisoner. He is not stupid or feeble just because he's blundered a couple of words. Can you like your candidate without hating the other? If you can't there is something wrong. And we should really all just party on Tuesday because Bush won't be president!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I supported John McCain 8 years ago because I believed in him and I knew something was very wrong with George Bush, and time has proved me right. I am among the 5% earners in this country, but I am not supporting John McCain in 08, because he does not possess the ability as President to bring this country together. Since accepting the parties nomination, he has spent more time talking about how screwed up the Democrats are than stating what he will actually do for the country as President. The Republican party needs another face to lead it and not Sarah Palin either. If John McCain is elected, I promise you he will be another lame duck president just has George Bush because the Dems will control the house and senate and between the three of them, very little will get done. I am also not letting the Democrats off the hook either. Can someone tell me how either of these parties can expect accomplish any of their goals without raising taxes? If you don't raise taxes, then how do you pay for it? It's unfortunate that many American's listen to these politicians and take their words for fact without investigating what they say. America, read a book! Get the facts, weigh them, then make a decision.

Neither party gives a rats behind about the American people, they only care about their party and themselves. Until the American people can find as much time to engage in our political system as they do watching sports we are in trouble. The U.S. Constitution gives us not only the rights but the RESPONSIBILITY of ensuring our system works.

We also have to stop expecting these people we hire to do a job for us to be the all knowing all seeing masters of the universe. They are only human and they do not have all the answers and we have to stop acting as though they are gods we have to worship. They all go to the bathroom just like anyone else does. AND it stinks likes everyone else's, even the former beauty queens, Palin.

None of them are able to wave the magic wand and save the world and until we get this fact through our thick skulls we are going to continue to put expectations on these people they cannot possibly achieve.

So, turn off the tv, read your constitution and get involved in the process in a reasoned and responsible manner. It is up to all of us to fix this country, not just the hired help. Which is all politicians are.

well I have listened and checked out what each really stand for. first we all should be used to dirty politics by now as it has been this way since he beginning of campaigning. it happens every election so why is this one so special? 2nd this is also an historical election as a black man may actually win and maybe that is the kind of change we need if for no other reason it is time that we move past race and on to a consolidated nation. we are in the 2000's for petes sake. get over it. There is no perfect politician as this is a contradiction in terms. What we need to remember, and yet I fear we won't, is that as long as we are fighting amongst ourselves we will be open to attacks. There is no such thing as true safety and let me just say, those that have not read 1984 should. As for a comment posted here that America is still a rich country and our poorset people still have a bed to sleep in and food on the table is truly what I call a sheeple. they refuse to acknowledge that their is anything worng. maybe you should look up how much we are in debt to China right now. Do you really think that they are not going to want there money back, or how about the fact that our government pretty much just sold our souls to China. Either way we are in real trouble. there are many familes that are homeless and the fact that stores such as walmart rent parking spaces at night to homeless people makes that point. the richer should pay a little higher tax than the middle class, it is not a penalty but it shows that all people are thought about not just a few. Can I just say Foreclosures at an all time high! where do they think these people are moving to. I am afraid we are slipping back into the dark ages and it seems that there are some that like that idea. as far a judging someone by whom they know, if it turns out that your best friend is a criminal does that mean that you are one to? ridiculous. I can not be the only one to realize that we have completely screwed the youger generation. we have not set the good example. Ever wonder why we forgive other countries debts, just so you know, Germany and Japan from world war II and yet we are still paying back our debts. this of course makes no sense and yet true. So when throwing stones maybe we should all take a look at our houses first. We live on credit rather than cash which is why we are in this economic mess to begin with. I could go on and on but I feel I have made a few points that are worth thinking about. and keep in mind as long as we have the electorial vote that can be bought and sold our individual votes do not really mean much! food for thought.

Mike Klonsky and William Ayers co-founded the Small Schools Workshop in Chicago, which wasn't to improve schools or grades, it was a power struggle with the school administration. Obama served on the board of directors of William Ayers Chicago Annenberg Challenge which in turn funded the William Ayers and Mike Klonsky's Small Schools Workshop. Obama and Ayers served as board members on the Woods Fund together which became a contributor to Small School Workshops. Klonsky had a blog on Obama's official website as recently as this May 2008 until Obama's campaign decided it might be too radical and it was removed. Carl Davidson, Communist and Marxist, organized one of Obama's rallies in 2002. Frank Marshall Davis was a member of Communist Party USA and by Obama's own words, an early influence and mentor. Obama studied and taught from Saul Alinsky's book, "Rules for Radicals" when he worked for Gerald Kellmans' Developing Communities Project. The book states "it's for Have-nots on how to take it away." He mentions how to "work inside the system" to use the frustrations of the "passive, affirmative, non-challenging attitude among the masses of people". In the epigraph of his book Alinsky writes in honor of "the very first radical known to man, who rebelled against the establishment and did it so effectively that he won his own kingdom, ...Lucifer". .....Wouldn't that make a nice plaque behind our new president's desk?
Haven't you seen the footage of Jerimiah Wright, Barack Obama's mentor and close family friend ranting about "God Damn America", and "we'll tear this mother down"? Will you feel patriotic and proud with Wright standing alongside Obama on Inauguration Day?
In a recent survey the majority of our military supports having John McCain as their leader, ...Hamas, Hezbolah, and Hugo Chavez of Venezula which currently is performing military manuveurs just below us in the Caribbean have all said publicly that they hope Barack Obama becomes the president. Our military supports McCain, our enemies support Obama, who do you support?

This election has many facets to it. Most of which the gover't will never resolve or solve. Most of the bad with all that is going on now is a result of your Congress and their lack of doing anything constructive by either party. Politics will never solve abortion, gun contol, social security or medical care. As a matter of fact they shouldn't make it one of their prime issue each election process. Just how many of these elections will we go thru with all of these promises by candiates for congress or president will we go thru and yet they never get solved as promise. The pattern is there and we need to get rid oc all of them and start over! It's become who can buy the office and who is buying the politician running for office! Vote but it is time to vote them all out and start over with people who haven't been bought by special interest groups!

You people do not do your homework...Look back statistically for decades..See the job growth and who was in power....Quit reading todays headlines and dig into the history books..I'll bet I could lead you over a cliff like a flock of chickens.
