Hey Blue! The baby isn't something-- rather someone or somebody. Unless you consider yourself a mere thing. Rights change according to development. A 25 year old has the right to vote and drive a car. Not an 8 year old. An 8 year old has the right to be in school all day and not support himself. A 25 year old doesn't get to sit in elementary school all day. You have the right not to be stuffed back into your mother's uterus, and a baby in his mother's uterus has the right to come out when he is ready-- not be chopped out by a butcher. Otherwise, the same butcher has the same right to chop you up in your bed tonight when you are as helpless as a baby in the womb. Plants and animals aren't humans. They also aren't persons. Clue: their parents are human persons. People (persons) come from other people (persons). Plants and animals come from plants and animals. If you can't figure that out for yourself, you need to repeat kindergarten. Your doubletalk fools no one except your fellow vegetable eggheads. When society gets coarser due to German Nazis or abortion Nazis, murder gets more common as a matter of statistical probability, Ditto for Saddam Hussein type situations, Joseph Stalin, Fidel Castro, or any other type of murderous dictatorship. There is now a murderous dictatorship killing 25-30% of all American babies in abortion mills, and the more it pollutes society the coarser society gets in schools, workplaces, stores, and America in general. If you were more obvservant to historical changes you wouldn't need to have it pointed out to you.

But you're so eloquent with phrases like "doubletalk fools" and "vegetable eggheads". I think I'm getting a better education here than in all my 10 years of gathering degrees.

"Rights change according to development." You took the words out of my mouth Randy. When cells develop and become babies, they surely do have rights. And when you grow a uterus maybe I'll care what you think. I've had 2 miscarriages. They weren't someones or somethings, they were clumps of cells. They didn't have names or feelings or opinions. When it can survive on it's own you might be able to call it a baby. Other than that, it's just a possibility.

    WELL SAID BILL COSBY !!

'They're standing on the corner and they can't speak English.
I can't even talk the way these people talk:
    Why you ain't,
    Where you is,
    What he drive,
    Where he stay,
    Where he work,
    Who you be...

And I blamed the kid until I heard the mother talk.

And then I heard the father talk.

Everybody knows it's important to speak English except these knuckleheads.
You can't be a doctor with that kind of crap coming out of your mouth.

In fact you will never get any kind of job making a decent living.

People marched and were hit in the face with rocks to get an Education, and now
We've got these knuckleheads walking around.

The lower economic people are not holding up their end in this deal.

These people are not parenting. They are buying things for kids.

    $500 sneakers for what?

And they won't spend $200 for Hooked on Phonics.

I am talking about these people who cry when their son is standing there in an orange suit.

Where were you when he was 2?

Where were you when he was 12?

Where were you when he was 18 and how come you didn't know that he had a pistol?

And where is the father? Or who is his father?

People putting their clothes on backward:
Isn't that a sign of something gone wrong?

People with their hats on backward, pants down around the crack, isn't that a sign of something?

Isn't it a sign of something when she has her dress all the way up and got all type of needles [piercing] going through her body?

What part of Africa did this come from??

We are not Africans. Those people are not Africans; they don't know a thing about Africa ...

I say this all of the time. It would be like white people saying they are European-American. That is totally stupid.

I was born here, and so were my parents and grand parents and, very likely my great grandparents. I don't have any connection to Africa, no more than white Americans have to Germany , Scotland , England , Ireland , or the Netherlands . The same applies to 99 percent of all the black Americans as regards to Africa . So stop, already! ! !

With names like Shaniqua, Taliqua and Mohammed and all of that crap .....And all of them are in jail.

Brown or black versus the Board of Education is no longer the white person's problem.

We have got to take the neighborhood back.

People used to be ashamed. Today a woman has eight children with eight different 'husbands' -- or men or whatever you call them now.

We have millionaire football players who cannot read.

We have million-dollar basketball players who can't write two paragraphs. We, as black folks have to do a better job.

Someone working at Wal-Mart with seven kids, you are hurting us.

We have to start holding each other to a higher standard.

" We cannot blame the white people any longer.'

I've had with all these so-called "pro-life" people including Kristi. Many don't even believe in protecting the mother's health or life, yet there is no debate that the mother is life. Now, with modern technology, a premature baby can survive at how many months? What if a baby is born too premature? Wouldn't that be the new cut-off for when life begins? These people need to take formal logic classes or something--they are wackos. Don't feed the wackos.

..A fertilized egg is growth - but not life by any realistic defination. A growth - that's all. What it developes into is a second story. GROWTH -.- CANCER IS A GROWTH - ONE THAT KILLS WHO HAS IT.

    • Posted By: Randy Crawford @ 11/01/2008 4:18:48 PM

All you are is a clump of cells also. All of those cells ultimately came from the same fertilized egg, and you have had nothing added to your human "being" since fertilization of the egg except only nutrition has been added. If it's growing it's alive, and no amount of your doubletalk can change that scientific fact. Cancer is a growth where the cells have altered DNA, not the normal DNA that was set down in the fertilized egg. Your cancer "illustration" is an example that proves you wrong, since it's the altered abnormal DNA that goes cancerous, not the faithful copies of the normal fertilized egg DNA. Women's rights aren't being taken away. The truth is, another person's rights (to not be killed) are being protected. If a basic right like the right to not be butchered is taken away, that's when society gets murderous, like what happened at Columbine as a consequence of societal deterioration after Roe v. Wade and abortion. Protecting innocent babies from being killed makes killing less acceptable all around, and protects school kids from another Columbine and protects all the rest of us. Think before you vote AND when you vote AND after you vote, and help keep America from degenerating into a cesspool of abortionmurder any more than it already has. Colorado can now lead the way and help protect us from abortion Nazis who want to handle little kids as if they were death camp victims of German Nazis.

      • Posted By: Blue in AZ @ 11/01/2008 4:34:59 PM

So because something grows means it's alive and deserves the same rights as you and me? I guess we'll have to stick with eating minerals because plants and animals will surely be covered under this new law as well. And explain to me again how Columbine was caused by Roe V. Wade? I don't visit enough pro-life propaganda websites. The entire downfall of American society? Really?

Hey Blue in AZ: Amendment 48 doesn't say anything about the 10 Commandments. But, come to think of it, the 10 Commandments have a lot of common sense, and the Personhood Amendment has a lot of common sense too. I guess great minds think alike, even if Kristi Burton didn't have to climb a mountain to figure out for herself what any reasonable civilized person can understand-- if only their minds aren't fuzzed up by hormonal rutting rages. If women are irresponsible with their bodies, they're responsible for having been irresponsible, and the innocent babies are not responsible at all. If your head wasn't so wacked by whatever your problem is, you'd be able to figure that out for yourself. Need government assistance? No, the irresponsible women need to learn responsibility, not whining about their immaturity and dumping their problems on somebody else. Do they come to my house and take care of my kids, or mow my lawn or wash my dishes? Of course not, and I don't owe housework to them either. Again, you're not even thinking straight.
What's this about Christians? I'm an agnostic. Where do you keep getting these weird hallucinations about religion? And what makes you think you know so better than somebody else that you are entitled to tell some little kid whether they are a person or not and kill them? That's what the German Nazis did (to kill 6 million in their death camps) and that's what the abortion Nazis are doing today (to kill 50 million in their death camps, and counting). Abortion is murder. Still don't understand? Try it on yourself, until you do understand. And while you're chopping away, you can also look up what abortion actually is at www.100abortionpictures.com and www.abortionno.org, among other "abortion pictures" websites. If vivisection and dismemberment isn't good for you, it isn't good for helpless innocent babies. Grow up, and quit being a murderous hypocrite!!

    • Posted By: Blue in AZ @ 11/01/2008 3:57:21 PM

The 10 Commandments are from the Bible, right? Which is the book for Christians? Just making sure we're on the same page.

Boy, someone's got a chip on his shoulder huh? I'm hormonal? For having an opinion that differs from yours? Guess I should take my shoes off and get back to the kitchen.

Go Kristi go! I'm thrilled to be helping with the Colorado Personhood Amendment. We iare n the middle of lit. dropping over 5,000 homes in Colorado Springs today. People are so hungry to help you stop the dehumanizing and destruction of little people.

    • Posted By: Blue in AZ @ 11/01/2008 3:37:15 PM

Why don't you volunteer to help big people instead? I know of several soup kitchens and organizations helping homeless veterans who need help and those people are actually alive.

      • Posted By: Blue in AZ @ 11/01/2008 3:41:47 PM

i think you get bonus points with Jesus for helping people who are already alive.

So, if that proposition passes in Colorado, will every woman who has a miscarriage be put under house arrest until a coroner's inquest clears her of `some form of manslaughter? Or of negligent homicide? Will women be required to go on bedrest as soon as a pregnancy is confirmed as a precaution? This is a slippery slope.

    • Posted By: Blue in AZ @ 11/01/2008 3:19:30 PM

Exactly. I've been trying to get pregnant for 2 years and have had 2 miscarriages. What pro-lifers don't understand is that not every bundle of cells is meant to be a rosy cheeked little baby. Just because something has potential for life doesn't make it alive.

    THE GREAT BUSH DEPRESSION
I follow an economist named Bob Proctor. He has called the top and bottom of every market crash since the 70s correctly.
He perfectly predicted the current meltdown and the picture he paints about what will happen next
is terrifying. He thinks it will be worse then the great depression.
The banks in the U.S. are going under one after the other. Countrywide ,Bear Stearns, Lehman Brothers and Merrill Lynch , Fanny and Freddy Mae ,AIG
The government took them over because they are bankrupt. Even with the goverment nationalizing hundreds of billions of dollars in debt the stock market is crashing
the credit markets are frozen and all of us may suffer beyond anything seen in generations
McCain just like Bush " doesn't understand the economy".
That not just my opinion its his own words. Not only does he not understand how to fix it but he does not understand how its been broken.
It is no surprise that he doesn't. The people that make up these securities use quantum mathematical models very few people understand.
Bush and McCain both can take the credit for this mess since they helped deregulate the laws that were protecting us.
Bush's economic advisor Phil Graham wrote the deregulation bill that allowed banks to take huge risks with all of our future.
Now, Phil Graham is the head of McCain's economic policy. He is also McCain's choice for the next secretary of the treasury.
No one in this country can afford for that to happen. The last time Bush met with his economic advisors was in March. He was the last to know somthing was wrong. Phil Graham had the guts to say that we are in a mental recession after he helped create the worst economy meltdown in our lifetime. Check out this link to the truth http://my.barackobama.com/keatingvideo
It will take the best and brightest minds in the world to get us out of this nightmare. As bad as Bush has done, McCain would be
even more destructive because things are in much worse shape. The next president will not inherit a budget surplus like Bush did but a crashing economy and a 11,600,000,000,000 (trillion) dollars deficit. Most of it Bush created and it will take decades to pay it back.
If you do what you have always done then you will get what you have always got.
When it comes to policy Bush and McCain are the same 90 percent of the time.
So why are the polls even close then ?
Mccains team just said they no longer want to talk about the economy.Instead they would like to spend time talking about obama
which means running the biggest smear campaign in history.
They think they can just tell you lies and you wont be smart enough to see through it
Let's teach him we are smarter than that
Stand up and hold them accountable
Bush isn't on the ballot this year but his policies are
    Elect Obama Biden 2008

Two central issues in the election Barack Obama is wrong and misleading:

    1) No tax increases to those earning $250,000 or less promised by Obama, then he
lowered this figure to $200,000, then the "Gift that keeps on Giving" Joe Biden says
the number is $150,000 and just yesterday Gov. Bill Richardson says the figure is
$120,000 ...and now a videotape is disclosed where it shows Obama recently stated
that in the interest of fairness with taxes is around $80,000.00!!
Sounds like good old fashion Democratic ???reverse auction ???tax policy they implement
after they break their campaign promise to the American people.

    2) On national security ...Obama???s own VP running mate Joe Biden ... ???mark my words,
this guy Obama is going to be tested by a generated international crisis within 6
months of his Presidency..I guarantee it??? Obama will meet with USA's enemies with
    no pre-conditions!
John McCain???s surge strategy in Iraq is working and its saving the lives of young
American men and women in uniform serving there...Obama won't admit to this day
the surge is working and he voted to cut funding for these military forces !!

John McCain is Commander-In-Chief material ....Obama is just a cardboard "cut-out"
    candidate of the DNC.

How to bring down a democracy: the steps toward totalitarian rule, in the order followed by Hitler and the Nazi Party; SEE IF THEY SOUND FAMILIAR.

    1. Improvise an attack (or take advantage of an attack) on the country
    2. Declare the country under attack by an enemy; real or improvised
    3. Force legislation that limits civil liberties and gathers broad powers unto government
    4. Brand dissenters and peacemakers as unpatriotic and browbeat them into submission
    5. Keep the fear factor high to make the public easier to manage
    6. Institute massive propaganda campaigns using state-controlled no-longer-free media and fear of government retribution
    7. Law enforcement and government personnel and ordinary citizens are used to spy on, control and break dissent.
    8. Institute the equivalent of a national homeland security department, overseen by one person with unlimited powers
    9. Confiscate all firearms from the citizenry
    10. Institute the mass murder and imprisonment of any who resist the new ideology.
    11. Launch pre-emptive strikes into other countries in an attempt to spread the new ideology

Sound familiar? It should, its not only the direct path of Hitlers rise to power, but also parallels the events starting with and following 9/11. President Bush was very familiar with the game plan, as his Grandfather and his Grandfathers father-in-law were supporters of Hitler and Nazism, both before and after the war. (See George Herbert Walker and Prescott Bush and the Union Banking Corporation)

Of course, the Bush Administration has skipped a couple of the items on the list, but theyll get to them if their party is allowed to remain in power; it will be the only way for them to retain control over the citizenry.

THE BEST REASON TO VOTE FOR BARACK OBAMA THIS ELECTION YEAR

  • Posted By: Change_Is_Good @ 11/01/2008 9:42:55 AM

This girl needs to get a life. She is still living at home for Pete's sake and not even done with school........ and she is trying to run the lives of women everywhere.

It won't pass. Why? Because theocratic discrimination is on it's way out. Roe V Wade will never be overturned as the general human population becomes better educated and less fearful. The human race is evolving to be smarter and smarter over time.

In another 1000 years or so, very few people on Earth will continue to believe in the voo-do, mythology, witchcraft, and theocratic mumbo-jumbo that some people believe today. You can't tell women what they can, or can't do with their bodies, just because of some wacked out religious beliefs.

  • Posted By: ChitownBC @ 11/01/2008 9:20:17 AM

Why are we putting philosophical and religious questions up for a vote??? This is ludicrous! This kind of debate should not be part of any political discussion or debate. A majority of people believe this, but these pious hypocrites continue trying to force their beliefs on the rest of the general population. Christ said it himself "... render unto Caesar, what is Caesar's, and to God what is God's..." Mixing politics and religion is not only wrong, it is very very dangerous... Just look at Al Qaida and the Mideast! Those people believe they are doing God's work also!!!

This comment was worth reposting its not mine but you should read it

"Nowforthetruth" recently made this posting: "Nins, all you prove is that you have perpetual PMS and cannot read. If you are as careless in your practice, you are a danger to your profession."

You reveal too much of yourself "Nowforthetruth".

"Nowforthetruth" also continues to keep repasting postings that suggest that the root cause of our problem is a law decades old that encourages loans to qualified low income people. "Nowforthetruth" is part of the spin/propaganda machine, and continues to repeat well known deceit.

Alan Greenspan stated recently that the problem was not anything like that. Rather, he stated that an entire financial system was built outside of regulation, and 'we trusted' these self-interested looters to regulate themselves. Credit Default Swaps were the result.

Credit Default Swaps increased from $106 trillion in '02 to $531 trillion under the R stewardship. No regulation.

While there are several variations of a viral email that tries to blame a few thousands of political donations to some Democrats, the actual, legitimate news has reported that Fannie and Freddie paid many millions to Republican lobbyists to lobby Republicans to PREVENT REGULATION.

McCain's campaign manager, Rick Davis, received up to $35K/mo. from Fannie and Freddie from 2000 to present, to lobby Rs,only, against regulation. Freddie has paid Rick Davis while he has been McC's campaing manager. Freddie donated $250k to the R convention.

These facts are everywhere in the legitimate news. You can start at http://www.nytimes.com/2008/09/22/us/politics/22mccain.html and http://www.newsweek.com/id/164732/page/1 There's much more legitimate news on this.

Trillions were looted from our economy because the Rs allowed it. It is inescapable that the Rs, most prominently McC's campaign manager, were in the pockets of big money while they drove the buss off the cliff with us in it.

You can try to distract people with fears about 'those guys'. Lies, distortion, deception. 'Socialist' is only the last in a long, now desperate, list of labels you have tried to pin on 'that one'. That's all you have left.

Is your most recent reposting here directed to fears about "Socialism", or is it just innuendo, or are we trying to fold in a little racism too?

I've got an idea, since we have no more ideas, let's keep running our campaign on fear, smears and hypocrisy.

Keep talking "Nowforthetruth", you're really helping. You keep demonstrating that we all have to vote against lies and propaganda and attempts to hijack our political process with deceit. Your actions are the kinds of reasons that I'm voting for Obama after 40 years of never having voted for a Dem.
