And lets not forget the Court, and decisions like Kelo v. City of New London, 545 U.S. 469 (2005).

What does redistributive mean. Well, remember that it was the liberal Left-Wing Justices of the U.S. Supreme Court that brought us this little jewel, holding that the government could take your real property, like your home, not for public use like a road or school, but to give to another private individual, such as a political contributor or other party hack or interest group. You remember this one.

Kelo v. City of New London, 545 U.S. 469 (2005), was a case decided by the Supreme Court of the United States involving the use of eminent domain to transfer land from one private owner to another to further economic development. The case arose from the condemnation by New London, Connecticut, of privately owned real property so that it could be used as part of a comprehensive redevelopment plan. The Court held in a 5-4 decision that the general benefits a community enjoyed from economic growth qualified such redevelopment plans as a permissible "public use" under the Takings Clause of the Fifth Amendment. Justice John Paul Stevens wrote the majority opinion; he was joined by Justices Anthony Kennedy, David Souter, Ruth Bader Ginsburg and Stephen Breyer.

The decision was widely criticized by American politicians and the general public. Many members of the general public viewed the outcome as a gross violation of property rights and as a misinterpretation of the Fifth Amendment, the consequence of which would be to benefit large corporations at the expense of individual homeowners and local communities. Some in the legal profession construe the public's outrage as being directed not at the interpretation of legal principles involved in the case, but at the broad moral principles of the general outcome.

NowfortheTruth, why did you change your name to NowforsomemoreTruth?

I know that you are the same person, because you are posting the same blogs you did before, cut and pasted.

Could it be that Newsweek took away your posting privileges, and you have varied your username in an attempt to fool the system?

      I wonder.

In any case, this blog you post is full of lies and misinformation. As usual.

It is so interesting that the is NOT ONE blogger writes about how much they love McCain, or how good McCain's policies are and how he will help America. Many Obama bloggers say good things about Obama and his plans. But the pro-McCain bloggers say nothing good about McCain, they ONLY post lies about Obama, trying to damage him. If I wasn't an Obama supporter already, I would become one, just to distance myself from all this hateful invective.

It never ceases to amaze me that philosophers, scholars, and writers in droves write about the current fleecing of our constitution our nation, and the American middle class all the while conservatives continue to flock to right wing evangelists, tabloid pundits and GOP theology all this after
8 years of GOP subversion. What does tha nation have to show? An economy in shambles unfinished wars more on the horizon and debt so enormous China and other foreign countries now own much of our nations remaining equity! China a communist country no less!

The neocons are deluded and are in major denial. You can vote for the same political disaster or you can vote for a new direction based around strengthing the middle class! Its the same old fear or the direction for hope of a stronger and better middle class!
The opposite of spreading the wealth- is hoarding or monopolizing the wealth!
    The choice is clear!

Who is bested suited to lead in these difficult times? The two candidates have had to deal with both a major presidential level decision and a global crisis in the past couple months.

We just witnessed as good a side by side crisis test as you could ask for. Both candidates had to respond to the global financial meltdown, which John's campaign manager Rick Davis called "the worst financial crisis in our nation's history." It was John McCain who was late to recognize what was happening and then couldn't figure out how to respond. He made a dramatic show of suspending his campaign because he knew he needed to seize the initiative politically, but then didn't seem to have any coherent position once he took charge. It doesn't inspire confidence when you say you're going to do something and then back down within days.

On the critical matter of selecting a VP who would step into the Presidency in an emergency, John McCain gives us an unintelligent mediocrity without knowledge or experience in national and international issues. Palin clearly was chosen to fire up the religious right base, but she has little appeal to the vast swath of America. Obama's VP pick is Sentor Joe Biden, who clearly has foreign policy chops and could legitimately step into the Oval Office should the need arise.

John's horrendous POW experience did nothing to prepare him for the job of president. A captive soldier must cope with a situation in which he has no control and can decide nothing. A President of the United States must make good decisions over and over again. Barack Obama has demonstrated the intelligence, calmness and good judgment we so desperately need in a leader for these troubled times. He has been tested repeatedly in this marathon campaign and he has risen to meet every challenge, sticking to his message of hope and change, and not falling into the low-life mud slinging we have seen from McCain.

Obama has better judgement, better temperament, better manners and better ideas that John McCain. I'm a middle-aged white female Christian Republican, and I am voting for Barack Obama.

How will you vote America? Will you cast your vote for:

The Socialist or Communist Candidate (aka: redistribution wealth/class-warfare)

    OR

    The Capitalist Candidate

    See definitions below:

Socialism: 1. A political theory or system in which the means of production and distribution are controlled by the people and operated according to equity and fairness rather than market principles.

Socialism: 2. Stage between capitalism and communism. In Marxist theory, the stage after the proletarian revolution when a society is changing from capitalism to communism, marked by pay distributed according to work done rather than need.

Communism: The Marxist-Leninist version of a classless society in which capitalism is overthrown by a working-class revolution that gives ownership and control of wealth and property to the state

Capitalism: A free-market system. An economic system based on the private ownership of the means of production and distribution of goods, characterized by a free competitive market and motivation by profit.

    1.
    2.

So, I guess that explains why Obama lied about the racism he encountered in Hawaii and Columbia! He even called hi grandparents racists! Or don't you remember how he tossed Grandma under the bus to defend the "god-d***" Rev. Wright?!

The 27 January 2007 Daily Mail:

    http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-431908/A-drunk-bigot--US-Presidental-hopeful-HASNT-said-father-.html

But, hey, since when has Newsweek and its writers have let the facts get in the way in their blind devotion to The One?!

    • Posted By: Nins @ 11/03/2008 12:34:19 PM

Obama never called his grandparents racists. What he said is that his grandmother, even though she was not a racist, held a fear of black men who were strangers, but that once she got to know them she became okay with them

Obama's point was that even good people are susceptible to fear around issues of race. If you would take the trouble of reading Obama's books you would understand what he really said, instead of getting your information from Fox News, famous for taking quotes out of context and purposely misinterpreting them. Why do they misinterpret them? To manipulate people like YOU, Mr. Nightmare. If you realized how much you have been jerked around, you would be mighty pissed.

Please state where exactly you read that Obama referred to his grandparents as racist. Please provide the link to that information as I am sure that many would be interested in reading this article.

Obama's past speaks volumes. He has spent his entire adult life as a far left activist, has sympathized with the racist ideology of black separatism, has openly expressed Marxist views, was until a few years ago a candidate for Chicago's openly socialist "New Party," was for 20 years friends with and attended the sermons of a pastor who spews the most vile anti-American and anti-white hate imaginable, worked and raised money for a left wing organization (ACORN) whose violent activism coerced banks into giving many of the sub-prime loans which now threaten the world's economy and who are now engaged in some of the worst election fraud in US history, was recently filmed telling a meeting of ACORN leaders that once he is elected he will allow them to shape his agenda for America, was friends with an anti-American Marxist terrorist whose criminal group bombed and killed innocent people, worked with this man on a project to radicalize Chicago's schools so that kids were taught left wing propaganda instead of marketable skills they could use to get jobs, campaigned for a Marxist Kenyan (his cousin, Odinga) who later incited his goons to commit genocide and burn women and children alive....the list just goes on and on and on.

What is most troubling in todays political climate is the promotion of hatred as a philosophy. The emergence of an ultraconservative dogma relies increasingly on the encouragement of mass hostility aimed at one group in particular - Americans with progressive political views. Liberals are spoken of with the kind of dripping contempt and virulent hostility that used to be associated with racism and sectarian religious strife. Liberals are viewed not as fellow Americans citizens concerned with the future of their country, but as ideological enemies that need to be destroyed - and eaten if possible. This view is fundamentally anti-American.

This right-wing sect manifests a complete lack of empathy toward other Americans whom it defines as its ideological enemies. Its core beliefs are absolutely impervious to reason and are unleashing ugly and violent impulses. What makes their zeal so dangerous for our country is their willingness to do serious damage to our precious American Democracy in their quest for absolute power.

This isn't new or news. It's become more open in recent years, and more hostile, I think, but remember the Red Scare of the 1950s, McCarthyism, the rise of Nixon. All of those things were predicated of right-wing fear of left-leaning political views and a desire to seize power.

What part of Africa did this come from??

We are not Africans. Those people are not Africans; they don't know a thing about Africa ...

I say this all of the time. It would be like white people saying they are European-American. That is totally stupid.

I was born here, and so were my parents and grand parents and, very likely my great grandparents. I don't have any connection to Africa, no more than white Americans have to Germany , Scotland , England , Ireland , or the Netherlands . The same applies to 99 percent of all the black Americans as regards to Africa . So stop, already! ! !

We have million-dollar basketball players who can't write two paragraphs. We, as black folks have to do a better job.

Someone working at Wal-Mart with seven kids, you are hurting us.

Obama has 63 Nobel Laureates working on his policy team. They are developing a plan to push America back to the top. Who is responsible for McCain's planning? Americans would be shocked to find that Douglas Holtz-Eakin is the sole person responsible for planning McCain's policy for America's future. Holtz-Eakin is also McCain's economic advisor, filling two full time positions on McCain's team. How can one single man (an economist) be responsible for developing a viable technology plan for our future? Obama has an enormous pool of the most intelligent, talented men and women in America working for him. Soon, they will be working for US: for you and for me and for America.

And let's not forget that the McCain campaign spent more on Palin's makeup artist than it did on it's foreign policy advisor. When you pay your makeup artist DOUBLE what you pay your foreign policy advisor, it is time to start examining your priorities.

You look just fine without makeup, John. And Sarah is young enough not to need any. So cut the crap, and start paying some good ECONOMIC ADVISORS so you can have a fiscal plan to present to America. We're in the middle of a huge global financial meltdown, and you are worried about hair and makeup? PLEASE start worrying about the middle class, John. Please.

In 2000, 2004 and over the last eight years we have been lied to consistently as the Bush-Cheney admin has boldly pursued their private agenda to benefit Special Interests and a select few and have given the majority of us only apathy, the costs and an abundance of subterfuge. They have done this aggressively with arrogance and without any conscience and today we see the results in the significant and drastic problems we now have. Those few benefiting from this irresponsibility return both overt and covert support, campaign contributions and promised delayed compensation; George W Bush has even bragged he will quickly pass his father and Bill Clinton in wealth after he leaves office. We are now seeing a rerun of the same dirty politics from the McCain-Palin camp as they aggressively pursue another smear and scare campaign, without ever really addressing the issues, just depending on lies, exaggerations, far stretched accusations and guilt by association, which they offer by word-of-mouth, on websites and in their speeches. They ask us to believe their obviously twisted evaluations faulting and attacking Obama-Bidden and the Obama-Bidden solutions and then we are suppose to just trust them, that they McCain and Palin know best what to do, as if everything is all about them. Common sense should convince us that tactic is simply a con and just more of the same style deception we have been misled by in the past. McCain???s history really has not been one with a lot of impressive results and rather instead demonstrates someone who impulsively jumps to whatever position he feels favors him for political advantage. Palin, besides being grossly unqualified, shows us an aggressive, totally self-focused, dishonest and ???cocky??? personality that lacks the diplomacy and others awareness to perform at the level required. In the mean time, Obama and Bidden have consistently, comparatively speaking, maintained a higher class presidential campaign with a concentration on the issues and in offering specifics of real solutions. Their solutions, and not McCain???s and Palin???s rationalized and critical interpretation of them, offer the needed real change to resolve the problems with the focus being on the neglected middle-class, which means the economy and everyone benefits. If we don???t reject the total bull that McCain and Palin are offering and then are once again deceived, because she is cute or he is a war hero or we lean Republican or because we have conservative concerns or whatever, then we can literally blame ourselves as being co-responsible when we end up with just ???more of the same???. In the end, it is up to us and we really can???t withstand ???more of the same???!

I think that race will always be an issue here in america, but here we have the chance to elect an african american for president. We've come a long way as a people, and I'm proud to say that I'm an african american woman proud of her history. I don't understand why it's been so hard for us, white people make it difficult because they hate us based on the color of our skin. It's insanity but it;s life and to me those who hate and who teach hate are nothing but ignorant cowards. I'll be glad when finally we can walk the streets without being judged, because half the time those who do the craziest and the dumbest things aren't blacks but whites. I'm not trying to talk bad about anyone but as a people we've struggled and we've overcome and if you ever think that we get knocked down we always get back up. We are the strongest of them all because of what we went through and I know that I will teach my son to stand tall with his head held high and to never back down when someone says that he can't do it. I'm going to encourage him all the way through until he makes it. I'm proud that I am a black woman, married to a strong black man raising a strong black son. With Obama running for President of the United States this is just the beginning. Imagine what we can do in the future. Like the bible says in Matthew 21: The last shall be first and the first shall be last. For centuries we as blacks have always been pushed to the back burner and whites always in the front of the line always able to get the best of everything, but soon and very soon we're going to see a change and that change can come Nov, 4th 2008. Obama/ Biden 2008!!!!!1

    • Posted By: sjpersonal @ 11/03/2008 11:27:06 AM

Your statement that White People hate us based on the color of our skin is unfounded in it's generalization. It is never wise to lump an entire race of people together in this way because we are all individuals. Also let's not forget that racism is found in all cultures, as a black woman you know this is true. Also your statement implys that the only reason that a lot of us (Not All) are supporting Obama is because his is black. Remember Obama is the 4th Black person to run for President and the previous 3 did not have anywhere near the support that Obama has.

I totally understand your pride as I do feel a certain cultural pride in seeing him, but he is not running as a Black president as his appeal has from the begining crossed racial and party lines, which is a really beautiful thing. His presidency will be good for all Americans not just black. My point is that we all have to contribute to assisting this country in it's evolution past all of the racial hatred.

I hope that understand my point. Thank you

In the exchange with "Joe the plumber" Obama unintentionally revealed that he really is as radical as his early political mentors and acquaintances, Davis, Ayers, Wright, Khalidi etc., (gee, there sure seem to be a lot of them) and that he is into the failed economic policy of wealth redistribution. Now there is absolute proof. In 2001, Obama, the "community organizer" turned legislator, said in an interview:

"And I think one of the tragedies of the civil rights movement was that the civil rights movement became so court-focused, I think there was a tendency to lose track of the political and organizing activities on the ground that are able to bring about the coalitions of power through which you bring about redistributive change, and in some ways we still suffer from that,"

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iivL4c_3pck

    2001 Chicago Public Radio Interview.

Obama's tax and spending plans alone would be bad enough, but add Reid and Pelosi to the mix, with the three of them controlling both houses of Congress and the executive branch without any effective restraint, and you have something that should causes concern even among moderate Democrats.
See Wall Street Journal: A Liberal Supermajority:

    http://online.wsj.com/article/SB122420205889842989.html

Indeed, some democrats are publically saying as much. See Barney Franks comments on the news, including face the nation last week, stating essentially that Democrats in Congress intend to greatly raise taxes and go on a spending spree.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u1Mazjm_A5k

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cJGnSAlqjoU

    See http://www.taxfoundation.org/blog/show/23617.html

Obama's ill-conceived programs will require him to tax, and his health care plan alone is a substantial hidden tax on all business, large an small. In reality, it does not really matter who he taxes, those taxes are going to be passed through the economy. He has to tax, because it is they only way he can pay for his massive social engineering experiments. Any first year economics student knows that taxation is a tool used to contract an economy experiencing inflation, because it reduces demand by reducing the amount of money individuals and businesses have to spend. It is contractionary, which is exactly what you do not want to do when the problem is that the economy is contracting already into recession. Like Hoover and FDR, Obama's plans will only make it worse for longer.

The democrats failed social engineering policies in the housing market are what brought us to ruin. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lr1M1T2Y314&feature=related
Even Bill Clinton says so. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XsynspIqAoE
Obama and a supermajority of Democrats simply is not the change we need, nor is it change we can afford.

Hey look this is really serious, its no longer about oooh Sarah Palin sounds sooo dumb, or McCain is just like Bush. Read what he said. He wants a civilian security force. Imagine if he gets elected, and the democrats control congress. What happens when he gets a bill passed by congress to create this civilian military force? How will he fill this army of 250,000 people. Will he implement a draft? Are you guys still certain Obama is the man we need to bring "Change"????????????????

The most troubling to me is not the accusations of terrorist friends and other undesirables of Obama, but the ARROGANCE of the man to feel he DOES NOT HAVE TO DISPUTE them. Any candidate running for the Presidency should be open enough to at least address accusation which does not go away.
But he is arrogant enough to believe he is above reproach.
I don't like that about this man. It is a continuing pattern of heartfelt self-deserving indulgence.

Barack Obama has opened the wounds of racism. Calling thing that are not racist racist is creating a mood in the country that black folks everywhere are out for the big take over at any cost including the old doesn???t work ploy of threatening rioting. Obama is the worst set back for equality since this country begin.
We become what we are around. Our values, attitude and beliefs are formed by the people we associate with. We take on the drives and goals of those who teach us and those who aspire to specific aims that we are allied with.
Ayres is a documented terrorist. Wright wants God to Damn America. Rezko cheated the American Public. Fleger has abhorrence for America. Franklin Rains cheated America.
Acorn tries to bribe you and intimidate you to vote with and for all the above. And, the list of shady characters goes on and on and on.
While McCain may not be your number one choice for President he will and has defended America. He is offering his life for America and has proven he would/will die for America. None of Osama???s associates would do that and they trained Obama.
Don???t be duped by the pretty and empty talk. Obama allows his brother to live in a slum and his Dear Auntie to live in a slum. What makes you think he has any compassion for you when he ignores his own family???s basic needs?
Think about that! Than vote from you heart as well as your mind
