Bill Ayers was certainly a despicable person, but he never really killed anybody. McCain's friends succeeded in helping to end tens of thousands of human lives. Keep that in mind!

You seemed to overlook the FACT that the blacks in this country murder tens of thousands of babies per day....aided by the VOTES from B. HUSSEIN OBAMA....Dr.'s are not even allowed to aid the baby should it survive a botched abortion....SO, let's compare the deaths of VOLUNTEER men to that of unborn babies who have no VOICE to aid them......GET REAL..................... McCain/Palin '08
Okay, FOLKS, there have been reports, that tens of thousands of people will gather at different sites in each state to HAIL THE MESSIAH's election......NOW, that is just plain stupid!!!! When he bites the dust, and he will.....what do you imagine will happen to 50,000 angry people???? We've had a small taste of what their displeasure looks like......remember the riots after the Rodney King trials? Watts? the '68 convention? Well, those are going to look a lot like tea parties, in comparison....... Take this word to the wise......those of us who support McCain...will be at home CLINGING TO OUR GUNS AND OUR BIBLES... Great campaign story from the Christian Science Monitor.

I disagree with the author's explanation of the personal division of black and while individuals. The most prejudiced white people are the most ignorant ones whom the smarter white people don't want to be friends with, so why would black people want to. But non-ignorant people (black or white) with good jobs (and usually families, too) are too busy with responsibilities to have much free time to maintain friendships outside work and family, no matter what race their co-worker-friends are. Over my 30+ working years I have completely equal appreciation for, respect of, and "friendship" with my many co-workers, black or white (I'm white), but see none of them outside work (or work originated social occasions). However, for "just going to lunch with" from work, I have only ever been turned down by black co-workers who admitted it was because of the flak they would get for it from THEIR "community" if seen out with me.
I think the greatest thing to be gained from an Obama presidency is that (I just believe, not that he has said this himself) he will promote the idea that trying to improve your life through education is NOT "joining the whites" "against blacks".

Most black people have always valued learning things of constructive value and have desired to excel in school. During the 80???s, 90???s, and in this decade, I taught with more black students than white. These students wanted to excel in learning in school. The myth to the contrary has likely been spread by the usual suspects---the racists (white supremacists).
redneck69, "black" is not a race, it is a category. The vast majority of "Negroes" in America have some to a lot of "Causcasion" in their bloodlines. At least as long as they are a minority and a very noticable percentage of the majority are prejudiced against them, they are going to be categorized as "black" as long as they are not "lily-white".
I would not be able to determine the validity of the most significant statements in this article unless/until the author, Mr. Patterson, clearly stated his definitions of the words 'racism' and 'race.'
As far as I can see, the evidence is that there is only one 'race'---and that is the white race. The white race is the collective of persons who classify themselves as white AND who generally function as white AND who mistreat and/or deny help to any person who he/she classifies as non-white such in any area of people activity including economics, education, entertainment, labor, law, politics, religion, sex, and war.
[There is not yet any such thing as the ???human??? race because no person is yet humane. No person will be the quality that he/she should be until the system of racism (white supremacy) is replaced with a system of justice. Justice = a system in which no person is mistreated and in which, if any help is given, it is always given most to the persons who are most in need of help.]
I do not understand how the recent ???bailout??? of corporations such as AIG meets this definition of justice.

We need to become a healed and honest society. We need to not just talk the talk we need to walk the walk America is a multi racial multi religious society. We have citizens from all over the world it is what makes us so strong and so unique. Those among us who do not like this fact about our country need to leave.
There is a certain segment of this country that is and always have been intent on doing all in their power to prevent this country from evolving. But fortunately with every generation this king of blind hate is disappearing as more and more children are rejecting their parents agenda when it comes to racism.
Eventually these types of vile individuals will along with their ideology will just die out and this country along with the world will be a much better place!
So you're not really eager for healing, just amputating? I love how we should welcome people of all races, religions, viewpoints, etc. ... unless you honestly disagree with any of those other groups. Then your viewpoint means that you suck and should be kicked out of the country. How inclusive.
DICK CHENEY ENDORSES MCCAIN/PALIN
Thanks Goodness! He waited so long I was beginning to worry that he would be one of the many high-profile Republicans endorsing Obama!
www.RepublicansForObama.com
Only Republicans who need a job are endorsing Obama
Obama's mother was white. To say he would be Americas first "black" president is false; he is half black, half white which makes him a Mulatto.
It is so hard to go through and read some of these comments. I have been jumping from article to article to see what people have to say, and voicing my opinion along the way. It seem as though we are loosing sight of what America stands for! Remember all of the Great people that died for our freedoms? Remember Martin Luther King Jr, John Lennon, JFK and Bob Marley... just to name a few. They all had one thing in common, freedom and peace!
I am not saying that I agree with the people out there that this presidential race has everything to do with race, keep in mind that Obama is in the lead and America is majority white. I am, as a matter of fact, white(female) and my family will be voting for Obama this election year. We know all about his connections and ties to certain groups. You tell me what polititian doesn't have ties or connections to a shady person? I see it like this: What person out there doesn't have a family member or friend that they do not share the same values with? Does this mean that you can't love them? Now on the other hand, if that family member commited murder would you still invite them for dinner? What is worse, having different values or "paling" around with murderers? I don't think I've read that any of Obamas associations are murderers.
Anyway. Our Country is is in need of some major help in so many different ways. I can go on and on and on. Health care, our deficit, our schools, the war, our friends and family members who are loosing their homes and jobs(this is real). Do we buy gas or that extra gallon of milk this week? My husbands job is straight commission, if the economy is doing bad, our family is doing bad. We feel the pain right here at home. Our health care premiums are half of our yearly income. We are a family of 6 living on one income. It would be really nice to know that there was a light at the end of the tunnel. My husband and I believe that Obama is that light. His speaches are moving, he has meaning and purpose. He motivates and inspires. How can you not believe? I guess it really doesn't matter because the dems will get their chance this time around! It's time for change, and we are def looking forward to it!

The purpose of America's Declaration of Independence' (We hold these truths, etc., etc.) and Western religion, generally, is to eliminate dysfunctional toxins from our minds and our hearts.
The principles of our democracy and our religious teachings are 'goals'. They are beliefs that each of us must embrace, otherwise America remains as a failed experiment.
When Barack Obama is chosen as our 44th president the mood of America will rise dramatically.
Primarily because it will mean that the 'reign of terror' of the past 8 years of Republican pro-big business tyranny has come to an end. It will also indicate that America is succeeding in the attainment of her design which is the unity and equality of all.

"Oil and coal? Of course, it's a fungible commodity and they don't flag, you know, the molecules, where it's going and where it's not. But in the sense of the Congress today, they know that there are very, very hungry domestic markets that need that oil first. So, I believe that what Congress is going to do, also, is not to allow the export bans to such a degree that it's Americans that get stuck to holding the bag without the energy source that is produced here, pumped here. It's got to flow into our domestic markets first." --Sarah Palin, billed by John McCain as the nation's foremost expert on energy, clumsily answering a question while speaking off the cuff at a town hall meeting, Grand Rapids, Michigan, Sept. 17, 2008
"We realize that more and more Americans are starting to see the light there and understand the contrast. And we talk a lot about, OK, we are confident that we will win on Tuesday, so from there, the first 100 days, how are we going to kick in the plan that will get this economy back on the right track and really shore up the strategies that we need over in Iraq and Iran to win these wars?" --Sarah Palin, suggesting we are at war with Iran, FOX News interview, Nov. 1, 2008
If you're worried about "Guilt by Association", then you should be worried about both sides. Here's a little taste of the extremist friends of John McCain that the Obama campaign could be expounding upon, but aren't.
JOSEPH BONANNO head of the New York Bonano crime family. the Bonanno family prospered in the running of its loan sharking, bookmaking, numbers running, prostitution, and other illegal activities. Murder and kidnappings.
GOV. FIFE SYMINGTON: kicked out of office and convicted of 7 felonies, fraud, and extortion.
DONALD R. DIAMOND: McCain helped Mr. Diamond complete a purchase in 1999 that he soon turned over for a $20 million profit. Mr. McCain???s letter of recommendation reinforced Mr. Diamond???s selling point about his McCain connections as he pursued ??? and won in 2005 ??? a potentially much more lucrative deal to develop a resort hotel and luxury housing.
REP RICK RENZI (R-AZ) indicted for extortion, wire fraud, money laundering and other charges related to a land deal in Arizona.. Renzi has been good friends with John McCain for years.
CHARLES KEATING. Keating 5 Scandal. Keating made contributions of $1.3 million to John McCain, and called on Senators to help him resist regulators in exchange for the money. McCain got the regulators to back off, to later trigger the Savings and Loan Scandal which cost the taxpayer BILLIONS. Cindy???s dad also has special dealings with Keating.
RICHARD QUINN. McCain payed $20,000 a month to this political consultant, a neo-Confederate, who was one of the leaders of the state???s pro-flag faction. Editor in chief of Southern Partisan, a magazine that published apologias for slavery and sold paraphernalia celebrating the assassination of Abraham Lincoln. McCain describes Quinn as a man of integrity.
And, my favorite... G. Gordon Liddy: John McCain has repeatedly praised G. Gordon Liddy for his --adherence to the principles and philosophies that keep our nation great.-- Liddy is a CONVICTED felon who plotted and executed acts of domestic terrorism. Liddy planned the Watergate burglary, the burglary of Daniel Ellsbergs psychiatrists office, the assassination of columnist Jack Anderson and the kidnapping of anti-war protesters at the 1972 Democratic Convention. Much more recently, Liddy used the bully pulpit of his radio show to advise his listeners that should Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms agents come onto their property, to AIM FOR THE HEAD because the agents would be wearing body armor. Liddy was actively instructing citizens on how to most effectively KILL law enforcement personnel.
McCain has aligned himself with Rev. Hagee, Pat Robertson and (the late) Jerry Falwell. These are men McCain once described in highly negative terms, but happily accepted their political and monetary support to secure the nomination. And, then knowing how the public views them, dumped them. Says alot about his character.
What does redistributive mean. Well, remember that it was the Left-Wing of the Supreme Court that brought us this little jewel, holding that the government could take your real property, like your home, not for public use, but to give to another private individual, such as a political contributor or other party hack or interest group.
Kelo v. City of New London, 545 U.S. 469 (2005), was a case decided by the Supreme Court of the United States involving the use of eminent domain to transfer land from one private owner to another to further economic development. The case arose from the condemnation by New London, Connecticut, of privately owned real property so that it could be used as part of a comprehensive redevelopment plan. The Court held in a 5-4 decision that the general benefits a community enjoyed from economic growth qualified such redevelopment plans as a permissible "public use" under the Takings Clause of the Fifth Amendment. Justice John Paul Stevens wrote the majority opinion; he was joined by Justices Anthony Kennedy, David Souter, Ruth Bader Ginsburg and Stephen Breyer
The decision was widely criticized by American politicians and the general public. Many members of the general public viewed the outcome as a gross violation of property rights and as a misinterpretation of the Fifth Amendment, the consequence of which would be to benefit large corporations at the expense of individual homeowners and local communities. Some in the legal profession construe the public's outrage as being directed not at the interpretation of legal principles involved in the case, but at the broad moral principles of the general outcome.

Some people just want the same old thing and are scared of change. same old ways
"Nowforthetruth" is now selling guilt by association that Obama has PLO buddies referring to Rashid Khalidi. McCain donated $440k to Khalidi.
See for yourselves at: http://richmonddemocrat.blogspot.com/2008/10/mccain-funded-rashid-khalidi.html
"Nowforthetruth", a little more "truth" about guilt by association....
"Nowforthetruth" also said: "Nins, all you prove is that you have perpetual PMS and cannot read. If you are as careless in your practice, you are a danger to your profession." You reveal too much of yourself "Nowforthetruth".
"Nowforthetruth" continues repasting that the cause of our problem is a law decades old that encourages loans to qualified low income people. "Nowforthetruth" continues to repeat well known deceit.
Alan Greenspan stated recently that the problem was not anything like that. Rather, he stated that an entire financial system was built outside of regulation, and "we trusted" these self-interested looters to regulate themselves. Credit Default Swaps were the result.
Credit Default Swaps increased from $106 trillion in '02 to $531 trillion under the R stewardship. No regulation.
While there are several variations of a viral email that tries to blame a few thousands of political donations to some Ds, the actual, legitimate news has reported that Fannie and Freddie paid many millions to Republican lobbyists to lobby Rs, only, to PREVENT REGULATION.
McCain's campaign manager, Rick Davis, received up to $35K/mo. from Fannie and Freddie from 2000 to present, to lobby Rs,only, against regulation. Freddie paid Rick Davis while he has been McC's campaign manager. Freddie donated $250k to the R convention.
These facts are everywhere in the legitimate news: http://www.nytimes.com/2008/09/22/us/politics/22mccain.html and http://www.newsweek.com/id/164732/page/1 There's much more legitimate news on this.
Trillions were looted from our economy because the Rs allowed it. It is inescapable that the Rs, most prominently McC's campaign manager, were in the pockets of big money while they drove the buss off the cliff with us in it.
You can try to distract people with fears about 'those guys'. Lies, distortion, deception. 'Socialist' is only the last in a long, now desperate, list of labels you have tried to pin on 'that one'. That's all you have left.
Is your most recent reposting here directed to fears about "Socialism", or is it just innuendo, or are we trying to fold in a little racism too?
Since we have no more ideas, let's keep running our campaign on fear, smears and hypocrisy.
Keep talking "Nowforthetruth", you're really helping. You keep demonstrating that we all have to vote against lies and propaganda and attempts to hijack our political process with deceit. Your actions are the kinds of reasons that I'm voting for Obama after 40 years of never having voted for a Dem.
