The US has had our nose so far up the Israeli tucas (spelling) that it may be hard to pull it out. We need to try. While I have no problem being an ally to Israel we should realize that they are a separate country from the US and that they have managed quite well to defend themselves against hostile neighbors. Some of the hostility of the region, I might note, is caused by israel's expansionists who want a so called buffer between them and the Arabs. They have their promised land. Taken from the Arabs who controled Palesting in 1947 and they need to be content with that. Most Arabs seem willing to accept the 1947 borders but not expanded ones. I believe the Arabs have a point. Peace within the borders of 1947 Israel is essential but ALL parties must cooperate including Israel and their pal the US.

Netanyahu and Obama are like hawk and dove. As long as the Jews keep voting in hawks they will never have peace with the Arabs. Their "Lebensraum" nonsense from 40 years ago of stealing Arab land as a buffer zone has not worked to keep Isreal safe from terrorist attacks, in fact it has spurred the Arabs to keep attacking until they get their rightful land back. As long as the Isreali government turns a blind eye to orthodox hardline Jews stealing a Palestinian woman's house and land, which I saw on BBC America a few months back, just because they say their idiot holy book says it's their land then there will be no peace.

Netanyahu is the epitome of what the ancient Egyptians used to say about the Jews, that they are uncivilized warlike barbarians. Time to kiss the warlike barbarians goodbye and start bringing in peaceful doves who will work at getting peace established by being fair to both sides, not just a one way highway for the jews. Obama is the dove who will treat both sides fairly, something "Warmonger" Bush could never do.

As Americans we need to speak up for those who are suffering under a brutal occupation we whole-heartedly fund and go against the Hitlarian policies carried out by Israel and our Israel Lobby.

This fundamentally illegal state is carrying out the longest military occupation of our time and the systematic ongoing ethnic cleansing and religious discrimination of the Palestinian people. Women, children, gay and straight Palestinians are all collectively punished under the occupation. The international community is well aware of Israel's poor human rights record, why aren't we!?

No matter what any president try to help on the past it will be the same for two separate Nation's if the president go no one side the other feel bad,and if the president go to the other side,will be the same.

It seems tat Obama will put Israel in very difficult position for nect 4 years. Israel will survive, but it will push american Jews frm Democrats to Republicans (Lieberman's inavitable split with Democrats will push in the same direction). And it will be forever - Jews will never forget Democrats for betraying of israel.
