If the drug companies found a cure, one can only imagine how much it would cost and who would be able to afford it. It begs the question, if a drug company found a cute for cancer, would they advertise it, or keep it secret to bolster profits on other treatments that keep patients coming back? If they reveal their finding, one can only imagine what they would charge. It's the ethical vs. monetary debate. So far, I am not convinced they are on the ethical side, given the lies they have told recently to get drugs passed to make money before their patents run out.
