???Nowforsomethingotherthanthetruth??? exemplifies the measures employed by the McCain campaign starting with the anonymous smear emails that began when McC hired the Bush propaganda machine.

This deception campaign tries to benefit from party loyalties. It preys upon hate, prejudice and fear, and on the ???unanswered questions??? fabricated by the anonymous emails this campaign perpetrated. Links to debunks of many of those fabrications are in an earlier posting.

This is by far the greatest extreme ever in American politics. It is a fundamental threat to our political process. It would further entrench the Bush operatives who took over the McC campaign, and the republican lobbyists who represent only the megarich who looted our economy.

McC was a maverick. He promised to root out the lobbyists he said are what???s wrong with Washington. He said he would not take the low road employed by the Bush machine when it smeared him. He sold out when he got behind and subscribed to the ideology that the end justifies the means.

McC would continue the Bush tax give away to the rich that McC previously opposed and called ???irresponsible??? because ???it only benefits the rich.???

McC now wants to give more billions in tax give aways to oil companies that have just reported the largest profits in history for two consecutive quarters, while he claims that lowering taxes for everyone under $250k in after-deduction income will somehow keep businessmen from starting businesses.

???Nowfor??? has employed many of the themes in the anonymous viral emails. He recently said it was ???revealed that Obama has PLO buddies??? referring to Rashid Khalidi to whom McC donated $440k:

You are so right, icyeyes! Michelle Obama a role model? Hardly!!! I am voting McCain, and for all the right reasons! McCain is a role model. I believe our government should protect its citizens from foreign enemies while allowing American citizens the freedom to pursue life, liberty and happiness. I believe that government should practice strict fiscal responsibility and allow individuals to keep more of the money they earn. I will vote for the conservative, traditional, family values. No, No.....Michelle Obama is no role model. MCCAIN/PALIN '08.

It is interesting how many Whites are angered by one statement by Michelle Obama and fail to look at all of her words. She has stated on many occasions that she mis-spoke regarding her comment about not being proud of our country. And yet not one person has referenced that she stated soon after that speech that she mis-spoke. Well all of us have said things that could have been stated in a better way..

But as a Black woman I have often struggled to be proud of MY COUNTRY, AMERICA . A country that injected black men with syphilis under the guise of "scientific study", condoned the lynching of ???her citizens???, and allowed the men that bombed a church that killed 4 little American girls to go free and un-punished for years. A country that allowed its Japanese citizens to be placed in camps during WW2-while allowing German Americans to remain free. These are just a FEW reasons why it is often difficult for me to be proud of America. But, for all of America???s mis-steps, mis-deeds and outright unforgivable acts. I am proud to be an American-but I am not always proud of America. What an incredible and moving moment it will be too see Barack Obama Elected President of the United States a moment that ALL AMERICANS should be proud of.

This is clearly an angry woman. The fact that she was not seen publicly AFTER her views were revealed show the biased media and the campaign didn't want the world to see the 'REAL' Michelle Obama. If the Dems win this, we will see her as she is : angry, ungreatful, mean spirited. I honestly believe she will do great damage to the reputation of the position of first lady.God help us all !!

Obama has 63 Nobel Laureates working on his policy team. They are developing a plan to push America back to the top. Who is responsible for McCain's planning? Americans would be shocked to find that Douglas Holtz-Eakin is the sole person responsible for planning McCain's policy for America's future. Holtz-Eakin is also McCain's economic advisor, filling two full time positions on McCain's team. How can one single man (an economist) be responsible for developing a viable technology plan for our future?

Obama has an enormous pool of the most intelligent, talented men and women in America working for him. Soon, they will be working for us: for you and for me and for America.

And let's not forget that the McCain campaign spent more on Palin's makeup artist than it did on it's foreign policy advisor. When you pay your makeup artist DOUBLE what you pay your foreign policy advisor, it is time to start examining your priorities.

You look just fine without makeup, John. And Sarah is young enough not to need any. So cut the crap, and start paying some good ECONOMIC ADVISORS so you can have a fiscal plan to present to America. We're in the middle of a huge global financial meltdown, and you are worried about hair and makeup? PLEASE start worrying about the middle class, John. Please.

I have to agree with an earlier comment, Michelle Obama can be a role model for EVERYONE.

It's amazing how the comments here have gotten so far off topic and for many turned into an outlet for hate speech. Regardless of who you support, as I have said time and time again. We are all in this together. Many of us have had to live under a Bush presidency for the last 8 years and he never had our support. We disagree with his policies and we did what we could LEGALLY to counter policies or support policies. For those who may be unhappy with the results of the election, remember there are ways to voice your opinion within the framework of our government and legal system. Voting is one of our most powerful voices (Yes even if you lose the vote).

Those of you who resort to hate, lies and distortion to promote your views, are hurting yourselves more than the rest of us. You only succeed in showing ignorance and a pettiness because things are not going your way. I have never once called Bush Anti-American, though I fiercely criticize his administration. I voted for Obama (Love Absentee Ballot and early voting), so according to the hate writers participating here (Welcome back Loriw, gonna try and keep things civil this time?), I am a supporter of evil and am voting for the destruction of America. Fortunately for me, I know the truth of my convictions and I like many others out there supporting Obama know that we vote for a better future. It will not be easy and like any politician, Obama may have to compromise, but I believe he has the intelligence and the wisdom to know which things we can get done to better our country and which things may have to be held off or re-worked in our ever changing world. It's time we stop shooting from the hip and forcing failed policies, It's time for someone who can truly work with the nation, to compromise and bring about a positive change.
