Palin could have used her as model on gearing up her family. The Republicans have gotten away from their family values theme, because they lost it all together. Watch Michelle lead by example without pandering.

    BREAKING NEWS ALERT....

Obama taped conversation with San Francisco Chronicle states his policies ???will bankrupt coal mining operations that produce gas emissions in states like Pennsylvania, Ohio, Virginia and North Carolina
which it will cause energy prices to skyrocket....." .....more info nobody knew until now about what Obama wants to do!!

Obama has a long term approach. GOP knee-jerkers, step off.

  • Posted By: Liberty2u @ 11/03/2008 12:45:46 AM

She could teach us how to be a better towards one another. Treat others as you would want to be treated. As some of us tend to forget how to do that. Women can be anything they want to be, and do anything they want if they set their mines to it.

I like her, she outgoing, kind hearted, down to earth, soft spoken, smart and all around person.

McCain wife comes off quite different. opposite

Michelle Obama is going to have a lot of admirers . ..including this white sister :) I think there are many of us that can learn from her intelligence, poise, and stability.

I looked through all of these comments and there were some good ones but there were also disturbing ones as well. As a 50-year-old white woman think Michelle will make a fantastic first lady. She is educated, classy, a great mother and has great common sense. She and her husband are obviously still very much in love after 19 years of marriage. I don't know many people of this generation that can say that of their first spouse let alone any that came after. Hers is a great story and she will be a great role model not only for young black womaen but all young women no matter what their color. I look forward to the day they move in!

What is Michelle going to teach us? You can only be proud of your country whne you spouse is running for the highest office in the United States? Why can't she always be proud of her country if she is not I suggest she move somewhere else. Despite out countries short coming I have always been proud of my country it is indeed the greatest country in the world.

Patriotism is supporting your country always, your government when it deserves it.

      Mark Twain

      Were you proud of slavery?

      • Posted By: nyborn @ 11/02/2008 11:18:22 PM

"Your government when it deserves it." You disagree with slavery and still have hope at the same time. Just because I think that Pres Bush has made bad choices I'm not less proud of my country.

    • Posted By: C. MacLean @ 11/02/2008 6:18:33 PM

I haven't been proud of my country since the day George Bush took office, and I won't be proud of it again until election day when we finally elect a democrat.

Watching what Bush and the republicans have done to our international reputation, watching them dismantle the Constitution, ignore the Geneva Convention and suspend the writ of habaeus corpus, has made me disgusted and ashamed, not proud.

I'm right there with you, Michelle. It will be nice to once again be proud of my country.

      • Posted By: nyborn @ 11/02/2008 10:53:57 PM

So you haven't been proud since George got in office huh? You werent proud when we all came together after 9/11. Hmmmm, sounds like some that has never crossed party lines because they are too blinded to vote so. So if we never stand up against anyone you think thats alright. I would invite you and Mrs. Obama to take the time to locate a house outside of this country if you are truly ashamed and see how quickly your view changes.

@mcdeere72 for the same reason "Joe" the plumber claims he would somehow see a tax increase under an Obama administration. Uninformed voters come in all shades.

    • Posted By: nyborn @ 11/02/2008 11:04:30 PM

What he has stated is he's interested in going into business and he would be taxed highewr by Obama if he got to what amount was it again? After these week I can't tell, 100k 150k 200k 250k, which is it again?

This is so funny to me because the racist idiots that bash all minority women are going to continue to do it whether Obama is elected are not. No one cares that Michelle is an established attorney, or that her husband is more educated then the three other candidates combined. They only see poeple of color as worthless, uneducated, and lazy. I sit everyday Mon-Fri, in classes where I am the only minority female. On the first day of labs, and I'm not talking about Bio labs, I'm talking graduate med. science and medical classes, no one wants to partner with me or sit next to me, that is until the lecture and lab exams come back, and then I have to make draftpicks, because now everyone wants to be my partner now. At the end of the day, they still dont respect the fact that I will graduating with honors, and going on to earn my PHd in Pathology, they only see the "black woman, with two gold crown who has to be less intelligent then themselves. But you know what? I like it like that, because they wont see me coming.

    • Posted By: nyborn @ 11/02/2008 10:58:56 PM

I'm not even close to interested about what education they have. I worry more about the policies they have and plan to emplace. I also could care less about what grad school is like for you, it's not very relative to this article.

Sarah palin when asked about becoming vp responded

"As for that VP talk all the time, I tell you, I still can't answer that question until somebody answers for me, 'what is it exactly that the VP does every day......"

After she had been the nominee for around 2 months she was asked again and this time said

[T]hey???re in charge of the U.S. Senate so if they want to they can really get in there with the senators and make a lot of good policy changes that will make life better for Brandon and his family and his classroom.

WRONG THE VP IS THERE TO STEP IN IF SOMTHING HAPPENS TO THE PRESIDENT ONLY THEY HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH POLICY AND THEY DONT RUN THE SENATE!!
If she doenst know what the vice pres or presidant does why would we give her the job

Mccain has around a 40 percent chance because of his age in not being able to

complete his term picking palin was about as smart as picking any other mrs Alaska contestant.

Its not just that we disagree with her answers in alot of cases she doesnt understand basic questions
like what is the bush doctrine, or what do you read.
    These are not gotcha questions!!!
One of advisors recently said not only was she unqualified but said mccain picked her after 1 interview of about a hour
and that even at mcdonalds you get 3 interviews.
Members of her own campaign called her a diva and a whack job.
They would know better then anyone else right now.

So mccain gambled and he lost big. He ended up with a girl that cant answer questions that most of the people reading this can answer.
at the same time mccain could never read this blog because he cant use a computer at all.
I mean his wife has 100 million dollars get him classes or something.

Am i crazy or do we want a computer literate president and a vp who can answer a least basic questions.
If you read the rest of the articles on this site you would think the world is about to end
So if thats the case these are the last 2 people you want running anything.
    let send them packing.

    ELECT OBAMA BIDEN NOW

    • Posted By: nyborn @ 11/02/2008 10:48:56 PM

Slow down look at that Biden guy, a three letter word, JOBS. Just like the other person here, why are you attacking Sarah when your VP canindate can't count letters, relate history correctly and explains that everyone that pays more taxes is a patriotic thing to do. So, you want the "Republicans to pay more because democrats are always saying the rich are the republicans.

Well, its come to this. A McCain supporter in Michigan forced trick-or-treating children to pass a political test before she would give them candy. If they liked Obama she refused to give them any. Is this who we want to be?

On Tuesday we can vote for reconcilliation and unity or we can reward divisiveness. Its up to US.

    • Posted By: nyborn @ 11/02/2008 10:40:29 PM

I guess that would make the trick or treating kids like the press that Obama found out the papers had endorsed McCain and he kicked them off the plane he flies on.

The problem with Obama is a simple one. One association does not a radical make. But in Obama's case, the list of left-wing radical mentors and associates is seemingly endless, (Davis, Ayers, Wright, Khalidi , etc., etc.) with a new revelation practically every day. With that trend, a picture begins to emerge, and that picture is that Obama is as steeped, not in just left-wing political thought, but in radical left-wing economic and race ideology, to the same extent that Pat Robertson was steeped in the ideology of the radical Religious Right. I would not have voted for Pat Robertson for dog catcher, and for similar reasons, I will not vote for Obama.

  • Posted By: Egan21 @ 11/02/2008 9:20:23 PM

I would like people to view Michelle Obama as a strong, intelligent woman, who is focused, and is raising her children well in a rough society. Not just a black woman doing it, but just an awesome strong woman who is doing all those things. Black and white little girls need someone who is smart and strong to look up too.

  • Posted By: changcc @ 11/02/2008 8:47:46 PM

So, I see the single issue voters are out in force. \

Michelle Obama, just as her husband has transcended race, I believe so has Michelle. She talks about her father, a working man who supported his children not as a black father but as a father who believed in a better educated future for them. The Obama family does not preach black pride but pride for all citizens. We, as a nation, a melting pot nation, need this post-racial family to be our leaders.

If Johnny Mc. Has thrown all seven sinks at Obama then what makes you think they wont try rigging the voting machines? How do we know the votes will be counted correctly? Who is minding the store at diebold the company that makes and maintains many of these voting machines? It has been proven that the voting machines can be rigged in about 60 seconds with a card that has the information needed to switch votes to another candidate. Check your selection before you leave the booth make sure your vote has not been changed. Make sure no one is left alone with the voting machines. If a program patch is loaded in any machine test it to make sure it functions correctly

It's perfectly clear to everyone that Michelle is a "token" employee at her firm....and she was the best that they could find to fill the necessary person to fill the FEMALE/BLACK obligations that the government has imposed on all employers. Nobody could respect this person(still not sure it's a woman), she is an amazon and probably instills fear in all the guys who she works with/for....hell, I'd be afraid to make this GIANT mad...hell, she's gotta be 6'2" and weighs about 240.....anybody look at thos feet???? Shaq looks like a small foot...OH, those teef, you'd think people who are shakers and movers could do somewhat better in the dental area....God, when she smiles...I want to run.....She(or he) could never come close to representing our former first ladies...let's see....Laura Bush, Nancy Reagan, and Jackie Kennedy.....somehow, Michelle just doesnt' fit in the catagory as feminine and lady like....she looks more like WRESTLERS GONE WILD...truly check out the adam's apple on this dude....Obama has been known to swing both ways....................Just ask Larry Sinclair...wouldn't that be the BEST charade ever pulled on Americans....You get a black guy, who's MUSLIM, and married to a guy???? To: reader79. I don't understand you comment. Blacks are different from each other, but all the same? Well, I know, and you know, there are "***, spics & white trash"!

"As the potential First Lady, she would have the world's attention. And that means that for the first time people will have a chance to get up close and personal with the type of African-American woman they so rarely see." I believe Condi Rice has already done this in a very, very effective way. Wish she had elected to run!
