???Nowforsomethingotherthanthetruth??? exemplifies the measures employed by the McCain campaign starting with the anonymous smear emails that began when McC hired the Bush propaganda machine.

This deception campaign tries to benefit from party loyalties. It preys upon hate, prejudice and fear, and on the ???unanswered questions??? fabricated by the anonymous emails this campaign perpetrated. Links to debunks of many of those fabrications are in an earlier posting.

This is by far the greatest extreme ever in American politics. It is a fundamental threat to our political process. It would further entrench the Bush operatives who took over the McC campaign, and the republican lobbyists who represent only the megarich who looted our economy.

McC was a maverick. He promised to root out the lobbyists he said are what???s wrong with Washington. He said he would not take the low road employed by the Bush machine when it smeared him. He sold out when he got behind and subscribed to the ideology that the end justifies the means.

McC would continue the Bush tax give away to the rich that McC previously opposed and called ???irresponsible??? because ???it only benefits the rich.???

McC now wants to give more billions in tax give aways to oil companies that have just reported the largest profits in history for two consecutive quarters, while he claims that lowering taxes for everyone under $250k in after-deduction income will somehow keep businessmen from starting businesses.

???Nowfor??? has employed many of the themes in the anonymous viral emails. He recently said it was ???revealed that Obama has PLO buddies??? referring to Rashid Khalidi to whom McC donated $440k:

    http://richmonddemocrat.blogspot.com/2008/10/mccain-funded-rashid-khalidi.html Guilt by association.

"Nowfor" continues repasting that the cause of our problem is a law decades old that encourages loans to qualified low income people.

Alan Greenspan said the cause is that an entire financial system was built outside of regulation; "we trusted" these self-interested looters ???to regulate themselves???. Credit Default Swaps resulted. They increased from $106 trillion in '02 to $531 trillion under R stewardship.

The legitimate news has reported that Fannie and Freddie paid many millions to McC's campaign manager, Rick Davis, who received up to $35K/mo. from Fannie and Freddie from 2000 to while he has been McC's campaign manager.

    http://www.nytimes.com/2008/09/22/us/politics/22mccain.html and http://www.newsweek.com/id/164732/page/1

Trillions were looted from our economy because the Rs allowed it. The Rs, including McC's campaign manager, are in the pockets of big money.

Without solutions, it is necessary to campaign with deception, misdirection, fear, smears, hypocrisy.

Attempts to hijack our political process with deceit and abuse of the trust of party loyalties are reasons I'm voting for Obama after 40 years of never voted for a Dem.

Hear Obama and Clinton for yourself, in their own words with out the filter of someone elses opinion..

Bill Clinton says Democrats failure to allow Republicans to regulate Freddie and Fannie caused economic melt down.

    so. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XsynspIqAoE

Obama in this video, addressing his community activist work and his work representing ACORN in litigation against the banks and relating to the Community Reinvestment Act, and addressing the failure of Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae as those actions relate to the destruction of our economy by causing the current real estate and subsequent financial crisis, states that, and I quote:

"Subprime lending started out as a good idea, helping Americans buy homes who previously could not afford to. Financial institutions created new financial instruments that could securitize these loans, slice them into finer and finer risk categories, and spread them out among investors and around the country, as well as around the world. In theory, this should have allowed mortgage lending to be less risky, and more diversified."

Acknowledging the catastrophe, but as apologist for the Democrats, Obama then offers this justification.

"The original idea was a good one, which was, lets see if we can distribute risk more broadly, and make it easier to provide loans to people who otherwise might not be able to get one."

Yah, great idea. Economically unsound, but embraced by Obama. Listen for yourself. You cannot dispute the mans on words recorded live:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lr1M1T2Y314&feature=related
    ???
And here is Obama again, stating

"And I think one of the tragedies of the civil rights movement was that the civil rights movement became so court-focused, I think there was a tendency to lose track of the political and organizing activities on the ground that are able to bring about the coalitions of power through which you bring about redistributive change, and in some ways we still suffer from that,"

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iivL4c_3pck

    2001 Chicago Public Radio Interview.

And here is Obama again in December 2007, promising a role in formulating policy during his transition if elected, despite saying he has no ties to this organization, Acorn

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8vJcVgJhNaU

And here is a link to C-SPAN video clips of the Congressional hearings at roughly the time McCains attempt at S.190. to fix Fannie and Freddie. See for yourself who said what.

Why hasn't this relic of the 90s faded into obscurity?

    • Posted By: DWPitts @ 11/03/2008 10:58:35 AM

Because he was allowed to walk away from the center of power with his dignity in tact, just prior to the height of his crowning achievement (Clinton's impeachment), instead of being exposed in a public spectacle. People were kinder to him, than he ever was in return, and if he trys to resurface now (which he won't really), the goods on him are sitting there quietly, but ready, to come front and center. It would blow the public's mind, lol, (well, probably not as much now as he washed up long ago)..

Newt knows this too, so he will never really try his vindictive BS again, even though he appears to be champing at the bit to get back in it...

I am a centrist who voted for Obama. This is the stuff Newt does best.

NIMBY is killing America. Killing us. We've had 30 years since the 70's for breakthroughs. They mostly haven't come. We need to get off OPEC with what we have now. And stop the irresponsible NIMBY folly.

We need ot get off OPEC on what is doable now. Not on some h

Dutton Peabody, Gingrich's ignorance is always on display.

He's got a heck of a PR person. He's just another mouth-breather and a mean one to boot. He has consistently failed to even get a simple majority of his own Republican Party!

When one of his fellow know-nothings point to him as some kind of economic or foriegn policy expert, why aren't they asked to support their statements.

It's the Ronald Reagan tactic all over again. They pumped Reagan to make him look like a giant when he was midget with a failing mind. Only able to recite lines that played to an adoring base. Reagan dragged the country into failure and like McCain and Newty only was interested in paying back big corporations for the graft they got from them.

    Newt is a Hoot!

"I don't think it fulfills the requirement for the foreseeable future. The internal-combustion engine will continue to be very important."

The basic ignorance of Mr. Gingrich is on display in the comments he made about the Picks Plan.

Internal combustion engines Mr. Gingrich can run on natural gas as well as gasoline, and the natural gas infrastructure is in place. A build out of it would also create jobs as well. Imagine coming home at night and filling your car from a wall mounted gas valve in your garage.

The conversion of our fleet to compressed natural gas is one of the easiest things we can do, and could happen as fast as any solution now being debated.

As for nuclear power , we can probably get a good deal from the Japanese, they have the worlds largest complex ( 7 reactors ), which were knocked off line in July of 2007 . This complex hasn't made one electron of electricity since then. The tax payers, of Japan are picking up the tab for this blunder. I'm sure they'll sell it cheap.

I am of the left, but I joined Pickens Plan as member 196.

The prize this election is government support for alternative energy which will create a lot of new jobs.
Newt is criticizing before anything happens and this current administration actively curtailed not only spending, but even downgrading global warming as human based and suppressing scientist's data.
I also question Newt's right to speak about energy policy when he was not a supporter of energy policies back when he was speaker of the house. Under Republican leadership, global warming has increased.

Newts Hybrid Escalade is around 40,000 dollars. Yeah Newt you live in the real world spewing your pro nuclear enery model of yet another monolpoly to control the nations energy needs, when wind and solar will pay farther sustainable dividends for different parts of the nation! Its quite clear the west and the mid-west should be wind, solar, hydro and natural gas and some conventional oil. So Newt where is the transportation conduit going through for the waist and where is your nuclear waist bin going to be? The American West! This is garbage and every westerner better learn and get hip to the energy policy crap people like Newt wants to ram down our throats! Jump in your new 40,000 SUV and take a hike you neocon!

    Vote for John McCain!!!!!!!!

Why is Barack Obama always putting Joe Biden his running mate in a peculiar and awkward position.

Joe probably feels like a contortionist. Barrack Obama stated that the reason he did not join the military service was that the United States was not at war at the time when he was eligible to serve and most people join. Barack Obama knows that Joe Biden did not join the military service during the peak of the Vietnam War because of an asthma condition that was not diagnosed until his teenage years. Joe Biden had horribly bad luck, ninety percent of all children are diagnosed with asthma before age six but Joe Biden was unlucky enough to be in the ten percent group of children who acquire asthma after age six and became asthmatic when he was a teenager. Overcoming his bad luck and his asthma, Joe Biden was able to become a star highschool football wide receiver and also play highschool baseball. Joe Biden also went on to play college football three years with the University of Delaware. After five student deferments while he attended college and law school, his teenage asthma finally came to the attention of his local Selective Service Board and he missed the opportunity to serve his country during the peak of the Vietnam War as an officer. But for his bad luck with his teenage asthma diagnosis, Joe Biden could have gone in and served his country honorably as a officer and a gentleman and perhaps as a Judge Advocate Law Officer similar to his son. Barack Obama should be kinder to his running mate and not emphasize that he did not serve because the country was not at war in contrast to Joe Biden who did not serve while the country was at war. Remember we are fighting two wars now and as President, John McCain who did serve and is a real warrior with wartime experience will make a better commander in chief than either Barack Obama or Joe Biden.

Pennsylvanians vote McCain. Pennsylvanians vote McCain.

Pennsylvania voters are not stupid and can understand that Barack Obama and the liberal Democrats are at heart environmental nuts and that there will be no new nuclear development under Barack. The first civil nuclear plant was in Shippensport Pa built by Westinghouse. McCain will create many new jobs and business for Westinghouse in Pittsburgh and General Electric based in New York with his forty-five new nuclear plants. These are real jobs not pipe dreams and study projects that Barack is so fond of with his goof ball schemes.

Pennsylvanians vote McCain. Pennsylvanians vote McCain.

Newt Gingrich, energy expert - imagine that. I'll give him he's always full of gas, but I really wonder where all this zeal was back in the day he had the stroke to do something about it. He's a senior fellow at The National Institute of Liars AKA The American Enterprise Institute to boot. Who he is, his previous actions, and his present associations is enough to cause me to ask" "Newsweek, why did you waste the column inches?"

Remember also it is not just the coal industry that is in danger under a liberal Barack Obama Presidency but the tire making industry in Akron and steel companies both in Midland Ohio and Western Pennsylvania. Besides iron ore that is imported now from Brazil, domestically mined coal from Pennsylvania and West Virginia is used to make coke. Iron ore and coke are heated to make steel.l Steel companies have to heat coal to make coke. Heating coal produces emissions which Obama will fine under his goof ball environmental plans. So Obama will also be endangering tire plants in Ohio and steel plants also, not only coal utility plants.
Ohioans wake up!!! Get out there and vote for John McCain. Your jobs depend upon it.

  • Posted By: mccainsupporter @ 11/02/2008 10:30:05 PM

Ohioans wake up!!! Get out there and vote for John McCain. Your jobs depend upon it. Everyone working for Firestone and Goodyear and B. F. Goodrich in Akron will be facing layoffs under Obama and the liberal Democratic party leadership. Al Gore, Barack Obama and the liberal Democrats are pushing a mandatory cap and trade emissions program. The cap and trade environmental pollution program will cause the tire and steel companies to shut down and lay off workers. A cap and trade emissions program with grandfathering provisions for current polluters will allow environmental groups to buy credits and prevent any expansion of production and job growth. Also tire and steel companies have a gold mine waiting for them if they simply close down major portions of their factories and sell their pollution credits. The tire companies may have a greater value to their shareholders by shutting down and selling their pollution credits than staying in business. The environmental policies of Barack Obama will cause huge losses of jobs throughout Ohio. Ohioans also look across Lake Erie and take a look at Canadian oil companies drilling for oil on their side of the Lake Erie. John McCain willl twist arms at the EPA Energy Protection Agency to start off shore drilling right now even in our Great Lakes and you can expect royalty and dividend checks to start flowing to Ohio and Ohio citizens just as royalty checks flow to Alaskan citizens under Governor Sarah Palin. With Obama, Ohioans can expect that Barack will study the issue for thirty years and then make a determination if it is safe.
Vote John McCain!!!!!!! Vote John McCain!!!!!!!

Barack Obama has no experience that qualifies him for the Presidency. Barack is young. Let him serve in the Senate for eight or sixteen years and then let him throw his hat in the ring. It is John McCain???s time right now. John McCain is ready and has the experience.
Vote John McCain!!!!! Vote John McCain!!!!!
Senator John McCain picked Governor Sarah Palin because he intends to follow through and make his Project Lexington for United States energy independence the dominant issue in this campaign. Governor Sarah Palin is a strong supporter of increased offshore drilling and she knows that Alaska has an offshore coastline greater than the rest of the country combined and is also comes in second among the states in oil production. Alaska Governor Sarah Palin and John McCain understand that Obama and the Democrats would never consider government loan guarantees or tax breaks for a sure thing that will produce energy for the American gas tank. In fact Democrats are trying to put together a so-called windfall profits tax which will have the effect of discouraging future investment in the United States oil industry. John McCain also knows that Governor Sarah Palin family situation also illustrates that longterm Democratic leadership hostility and policies toward United States owned energy companies have caused our current energy crisis. Her husband works for British Petroleum but instead should be working for the former American owned Arco Oil Company. Arco Oil Company developed and explored the Alaska North Slope and formerly owned eighty percent of our proven Alaskan reserves. With its substantial oil reserves Arco Oil Company should have bought British Petroleum instead of British Petroleum buying out Arco Oil Company during the second Bill Clinton administration. With the right business environment and support from both political parties in the United States, Arco Oil Company might have been more successful and been able to buy out British Petroleum instead of British Petroleum buying out Arco Oil Company. Look at Apple Computer and Microsoft. Their success in the computer world have made them bullet proof to corporate takeovers. Longterm Democratic hostility and opposition to offshore drilling and periodic talk of windfall profits taxes contributed to the takeover of Arco Oil Company.

Pennsylvanians vote McCain. Pennsylvanians vote McCain.

Pennsylvanians vote for jobs. Vote John McCain. Vote John McCain/Sarah Palin.

If you think about it John McCain plan for forty-five new nuclear power plants is reasonable, needed and attainable. Our current 108 nuclear power plants supply twenty (20) percent of our electricity requirements. This is amazing considering that it has been thirty years since there has been new construction on new nuclear power plants anywhere in the United States. Construction on new nuclear power plants has occurred throughout the world but not in the United States thanks to Democratic leadership. In France, nuclear power supplies 80 percent of their electricity needs. Because 108 nuclear power plants are generating twenty percent of our needs, an additional 45 nuclear power plants will only increase the percentage of nuclear power to roughly 28 percent of our needs well short of French eighty percent nuclear power generation of electricity. John McCain proposals are reasonable and will help lead us to energy independence. Democrats under the leadership of Barack Obama want to study the issue for another 30 years. By that time the only remaining United States builder of nuclear power plants General Electric will have gone the way of Westinghouse and sold its nuclear construction division to a foreign owned company Toshiba Corporation of Japan. Given the Democratic led hostile business environment for nuclear power in the United States, we will have no United States owned companies capable of building nuclear power plants.

The reality is that a few nuclear power plants will have a greater contribution to our relative energy independence than all the combined contributions of solar, wind, and thermal energy. Only the proposals of John McCain on nuclear power, offshore drilling, wind, and solar energy will make the idea of a relative United States energy independence a reality.

Pennsylvanians remember Westinghouse even though now owned by Toshiba is still based in Pittsburgh will have huge job openings in Pennsylvania to help build these forty-five new nuclear power plants.

Pennsylvanians vote for jobs. Vote John McCain. Vote John McCain/Sarah Palin.
Vote John McCain!!!!! Vote John McCain!!!!!
