It is truly a shame that this man has become the leader of my country. We have never been in direr straits than now, thanks to his pandering to the liberal agendas that are manipulated by the rest of the world. Yes, foreign investors, world banks, and greedy americans are at fault. And it aint over yet. The Democrats are in cahoots with these "foreign" manipultors, and to hell with us. It's going to be a fight to the end.

Im happy this man won the election. He is promotting cheeper health care for all and god knows we need it. With drug and alcohol addiction on the rise we need more <a href="http://www.calnarconon.org/">alcohol treatment centers</a> and other health clinics to fix what has gone wrong with society. We need hi support to get fundong for these critical needs.

i wish those who see Gandhi on the Obama bandwagon???d spare a look for his passion e.g (http://www.mkgandhi.org/swarajya/coverpage.htm); swadeshi (self reliance) --& implied opposition to globalization, Western lifestyle, modernity, ???etc. How much of that???d Obama own up?

I thought that a very telling moment about the mind-set of the losing side came at McCain's speech conceding the election. A very decent man who graciously praised Obama, who called attention to our country trying to redress the awful wrong of our past racial agonies, and who, true patriot that he is, promised to cooperate with the new president - for the good of our country. And what did he get for showing this bit of style and class? - boos and jeers every time he mentioned Obama's name. He was giving his supporters a chance to show some class and fair-mindedness, but they failed the test. I got the feeling that this was a case in which the candidate was much better than his supporters. Hats off to McCain for showing some decency in defeat. Shame on those followers who failed, once again, to rise up beyond their own narrow-minded nastiness.

To the sceptics of Barack Obama's election victory. It doesn't matter where your elected President hails from or even his origins. Consider this scenario - You board a plane to travel overseas - has any passenger yet asked or demanded to know the racial origins of the pilots ? No, They are chosen and selected on their abilities to do an important job and get you safely to where you want to go. Mr Obama is a truly remarkable man in achieving almost the impossible, and should be supported in every way by the decent peoples of the USA - whatever THEIR origins.

I was born in NY and my immigrant grandparents helped make NY what it is. I experienced the break out of the war in Iraq in Europe where I live, where the mass majority of people got how wrong that invasion was. I watched conservative old ladies hang peace flags, the masses go to the piazza. I sat in bewilderment for years as so few people in America could decipher (including the press in a very big way) that we were invading the wrong country, and at home degrading our institutions of democracy. America was under some sort of spell. Understandably the 9/11 wound temporarily blinded our view. But what also distorted Americas view was the paranoid aggression injected into our concept of Patriotism. We were bullied and divided by the Bush administration into accepting Patriotism on their terms. Go Sara is a perfect example of that strain of thought, lacking any rational train of though but abundant in aggression, insult, bullying and a complete lack of awareness of the rest of the world. And as Frank A so gently says that is not a constructive vision for America. I am happy to see that the Democrats and the majority of America has finally found their voice. In Italian we would say: ORA BASTA!

Gosarah, please stop your paranoid whining and try to let go of some of that misplaced anger. Open your heart and mind instead of hurling racial slurs and you might be pleasantly surprised at what you'll discover. The general consensus of educated people both here and abroad is that G W Bush is a complete idiot who has spent 8 years doing his best to destroy our Democracy. If ignorance is bliss, you sure don't seem too happy.

You are a DISGRACE as a reporter. How dare you print a picture of this terrorist-mentored muslim under such a title. He is not pres YET, McGuire and your rabid liberal slant make me sick. You and the rest of the loser media have lied to the people of this country. You have made our good and honorable president look like a Satan; no one is as bad as you've made him look. A pox on you and those like you. You will be sorry for it someday, lying about a good man. This guy will probably win and woe to this country. Praying in Kenya? His cousin is terrorizing the weak over there by the thousands. You take his picture off of this stupid article and I hope you're happy, you lying loser. No more border control, all illegals become citizens, we support said illegals, 401K's taken for more Bail Outs, etc. Thanks to locusts like yourself. I hope you're happy.

...................................Today is a Referendum on the Bush Administration and The Bush Years....................America is finally answering back!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Posted By: AnAverageAmerican @ 11/04/2008 4:31:16 PM

Being an African-American I am so proud of Obama...and America, all of America!. The problems we face cannot be solved by one man. We all got here together, therefore we all must move forward together. One man cannot save the world, but together America can set its best example and eventually begin to help heal the world.

    Peace.

I can't wait to read the republicans admitting "okay, Obama did a great job" in 2-3 years. We don't need to fight... time will tell and none of this doom and gloom from them will come about. What a relief and boon it will be to finally have a friendly world around us again!

Change is not always good, constructive, or what people expect it to be; oft times such as these, voters are easily led and put into a 'political stupor' by a candidate that promises the sun, moon, and stars. Fasten your seat belts...if Obama wins, it's going to be a wild ride.

    To GoSarah,
You are exactly what this election is all about! Changing the way not simply the way in which we are preceived but the way in which we "present" ourselves. The days of fear mongering and hate are about to end. The fact that dinosaurs like you call folks that listen to ideas and support growth, "liberal haters of the USA" is really is really a fitting eulogy to the end of the current Republican attack on fairness, patriotism, Americanism and in fact humanity itself. Unless there is some soft of catastrophic decay in the very fabric of right and wrong the Republicans and abou to be shown the door, ga-bye!

This is a disgrace, that this terrorist-mentored muslim can be dogcatcher, much less run for President. Bugger the rest of the world and what they think...they hate our current president because the lying liberal media has painted him as a blundering attila the hun. They loved the impeached liar Clinton and they hated Dubya. You lemmings have bought their filthy vile lies about a damn good president. All the world cares about is how quickly we can cut off support to Israel and become like them...dependent on terrorists, Iran, Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, etc. Europe simply wants us to all die. They always have. This is a disgrace and we are all going to pay dearly for this train wreck. Hope you lying liberal haters of the USA are happy now. Hope you enjoy supporting illegals and paying for their healthcare. We are bleeped and it's all your fault.
