I can't wait to vote for Mr. Obama on Tuesday and bridge our country to a brighter future.

As a global resident who lives in California, Singapore and London......I have never seen so much interest in the U.S. presidential election. Almost everywhere I go, I hear quiet whispers of hope that Obama will be the next president of America and of the free world. This is an amazing election of historical proportion. I hope the world, especially the USA, will not be disappointed on Nov. 4th.

This moronic scumbag Samuel J. Wurzelbacher "Joe the Plumber" had his AZ driver license suspended

    http://www.eastvalleytribune.com/story/128323

Wurzelbacher, who lived in Mesa in 2000 and had an Arizona driver's license, had his driver's license suspended by the Arizona Department of Transportation Motor Vehicle Division on May 4, 2000, following a nonpayment of a court-imposed fine for civil traffic violations, according to court records.

...owes nearly $1,200 in back taxes, according to public records, still owes more than $700 to the Mesa court system.

Records show he was cited for failure to stop at a red light and for failure to provide proof of insurance on Feb. 9, 2000, in a black Dodge truck at the intersection of Dobson and Baseline roads in Mesa.

After failing to pay his original fine of $627.50 issued in March 2000, his license was suspended and the fine was handed over to a collection agency along with a 16 percent surcharge. The now-resident of Holland, Ohio, still owes $727.90 to the Mesa Municipal Court, according to court records.

Hopefully the collection agency will break both of his legs so he'll never be able to walk nor work ever again. This typical Republican scumbag deserves it.

SHUT the GODD4MNED F|_|CK UP and quit making people believe you have anything to do with the real principles of Obama's campaign. You ought to be ashamed of yourself.

The US needs new faces in the Senate and the Congress. We need to vote out anyone in office now. Vote out anyone that has been in office over the last four years. US is an intellectual paten society. We no longer manufacture. We need to get jobs going within the first 100 days of this Presidency. We have depended on foreign market trade for a long time. The Fed Reserve has slowed that down. We are about to suffer alot of job loss. We need a strong dollar. You are feeling poor, because the dollar is weak. We can't buy anything. Congress and the Senate (elite) don't care. They sold you out. If you haven't noticed, the Fed is Private. They have been running the party. You have to get a new President in and new faces in the Senate and the Congress. No more loyalty to the pork barrel party mungers. Take back America. Were all saying the same thing. We are at our limit. The writing is on the wall. We just got the wind blown out of us. Fight back with your vote. Vote the "SENATE and CONGRESS" ELITE out. Vote to increase the KING dollar. Go into the ballot box and vote for more than just the President. Vote for his TEAM. Could you work with the present group. Look what they just did to you. They let the Federal Reserve Bank (Private) work a deal to give the SLIM Mortgage Back Securities to the US Government - to be paid off by the Taxpayer and their heirs. Do you get it.

      "Vote for his TEAM"

I don't think anyone on his campaign has had time to, you know, run for the Senate or the House too...

    DICK CHENEY ENDORSES MCCAIN/PALIN

Thanks Goodness! He waited so long I was beginning to worry that he would be one of the many high-profile Republicans endorsing Obama!

True - Cheney waited til late in the game to endorse his mavericks - I hope the New GOP keeps Palin out in front for years to come, but also hope conservative Democrats keep a lid on Pelosi. I was pleased to see a Vote for Obama flyer hanging on my door handle when I got home today - it was a good use for part of the $75 I contributed over the past year. I'm in Missouri and it looks like it will be close - MO flipped from barely Dem to barely Repub today on Electoral-Vote,com

Yeah. As a Democratic supporter this year, I can't say I'm a huge Pelosi fan. She starts too much *** with the Republicans and is a really divisive figure.

Yeah, no kidding. That would have been the ultimate dirty trick. But no one would have believed it for more than a minute.

    WELL SAID BILL COSBY!!

'They're standing on the corner and they can't speak English.
I can't even talk the way these people talk:
    Why you ain't,
    Where you is,
    What he drive,
    Where he stay,
    Where he work,
    Who you be...

And I blamed the kid until I heard the mother talk.

And then I heard the father talk.

Everybody knows it's important to speak English except these knuckleheads.
You can't be a doctor with that kind of crap coming out of your mouth.

In fact you will never get any kind of job making a decent living.

People marched and were hit in the face with rocks to get an Education, and now
We've got these knuckleheads walking around.

The lower economic people are not holding up their end in this deal.

These people are not parenting. They are buying things for kids.

    $500 sneakers for what?

And they won't spend $200 for Hooked on Phonics.

I am talking about these people who cry when their son is standing there in an orange suit.

Where were you when he was 2?

Where were you when he was 12?

Where were you when he was 18 and how come you didn't know that he had a pistol?

And where is the father? Or who is his father?

People putting their clothes on backward:
Isn't that a sign of something gone wrong?

People with their hats on backward, pants down around the crack, isn't that a sign of something?

Isn't it a sign of something when she has her dress all the way up and got all type of needles [piercing] going through her body?

What part of Africa did this come from??

We are not Africans. Those people are not Africans; they don't know a thing about Africa ...

I say this all of the time. It would be like white people saying they are European-American. That is totally stupid.

I was born here, and so were my parents and grand parents and, very likely my great grandparents. I don't have any connection to Africa, no more than white Americans have to Germany , Scotland , England , Ireland , or the Netherlands . The same applies to 99 percent of all the black Americans as regards to Africa . So stop, already! ! !

With names like Shaniqua, Taliqua and Mohammed and all of that crap .....And all of them are in jail.

Brown or black versus the Board of Education is no longer the white person's problem.

We have got to take the neighborhood back.

People used to be ashamed. Today a woman has eight children with eight different 'husbands' -- or men or whatever you call them now.

We have millionaire football players who cannot read.

We have million-dollar basketball players who can't write two paragraphs. We, as black folks have to do a better job.

Someone working at Wal-Mart with seven kids, you are hurting us.

We have to start holding each other to a higher standard.

" We cannot blame the white people any longer."
Dr. William Henry 'Bill' Cosby, Jr., Ed.D.

"With names like Shaniqua, Taliqua and Mohammed and all of that crap .....And all of them are in jail."

This makes me distrust the entire rest of the post. If Bill Cosby chooses to hate on blacks with African-derived names, that's not upliftment - that's racism. And while I agree with a lot of the points he mentioned, racism against his own African origins will make *everyone* deeply distrust him, and for good reason.

Finally the American nightmare will be over. No longer will the neo-nazi republican's maniupulate the american people with fear and false promises. "i will not be a perfect president for I am not a perfect man, but I will always tell you the truth, regardless if you like it or not" - Obama. This is my president! There is decency and goodness left in this ever so cynical world of ours....I believe in O! and I make no apoligizes for that!

One of the biggest reasons I'm voting for Obama is that he seems to be a man unafraid to recognize that he's human and can make mistakes. That also implies to me that he'll change course based on what's actually going on - unlike Bush, who was incapable of admitting error in eight years and as a result made hundreds more of them.

    BREAKING:

Sarah Palin is pranked--extensively--by a false French President "Nicholas Sarkozy."

As the call becomes more and more farcial and unbelievable--as the "President", swears, makes double entendres, and sings, all in an exaggerated French accent, she continues. She never discovers it until it is revealed:

Yes the world watches this election closely but not because we all see America as a land of hope and opportunity but because for the last 7 years some of our countries have had to live with "you're either with us or against us". I live in Australia a country that unfortunately up until last year had a leader who either couldn't or wouldn't say no to George Bush even when his own people voiced their strong concern over going to Iraq. We got rid of him last year and our new leader has said our troops will becomming home soon. America like alot of countries has alot to offer the world but most of us have watched on while a great country has shown a not such a nice side. I would love to see America get back to the standing they had after Sept 11 and only Obama can give you that. Unfortunately Palin is too Bush for the world's liking and if McCain-Palin win I suppose most of the world will say well they never learn.

    THE GREAT BUSH DEPRESSION
I follow an economist named Bob Proctor. He has called the top and bottom of every market crash since the 70s correctly.
He perfectly predicted the current meltdown and the picture he paints about what will happen next
is terrifying. He thinks it will be worse then the great depression.
The banks in the U.S. are going under one after the other. Countrywide ,Bear Stearns, Lehman Brothers and Merrill Lynch , Fanny and Freddy Mae ,AIG
The government took them over because they are bankrupt. Even with the goverment nationalizing hundreds of billions of dollars in debt the stock market is crashing
the credit markets are frozen and all of us may suffer beyond anything seen in generations
McCain just like Bush " doesn't understand the economy".
That not just my opinion its his own words. Not only does he not understand how to fix it but he does not understand how its been broken.
It is no surprise that he doesn't. The people that make up these securities use quantum mathematical models very few people understand.
Bush and McCain both can take the credit for this mess since they helped deregulate the laws that were protecting us.
Bush's economic advisor Phil Graham wrote the deregulation bill that allowed banks to take huge risks with all of our future.
Now, Phil Graham is the head of McCain's economic policy. He is also McCain's choice for the next secretary of the treasury.
No one in this country can afford for that to happen. The last time Bush met with his economic advisors was in March. He was the last to know somthing was wrong. Phil Graham had the guts to say that we are in a mental recession after he helped create the worst economy meltdown in our lifetime. Check out this link to the truth http://my.barackobama.com/keatingvideo
It will take the best and brightest minds in the world to get us out of this nightmare. As bad as Bush has done, McCain would be
even more destructive because things are in much worse shape. The next president will not inherit a budget surplus like Bush did but a crashing economy and a 11,600,000,000,000 (trillion) dollars deficit. Most of it Bush created and it will take decades to pay it back.
If you do what you have always done then you will get what you have always got.
When it comes to policy Bush and McCain are the same 90 percent of the time.
So why are the polls even close then ?
Mccains team just said they no longer want to talk about the economy.Instead they would like to spend time talking about obama
which means running the biggest smear campaign in history.
They think they can just tell you lies and you wont be smart enough to see through it
Let's teach him we are smarter than that
Stand up and hold them accountable
Bush isn't on the ballot this year but his policies are
    Elect Obama Biden 2008

Check out this video of sarah palins interview and ask your self if she understands what she is talking about.

Your story gave me "goose bumps". It was a brilliant read. Here in the Caribbean we are also riveted by the US Elections and have been so shocked and dismayed at the tactics employed by the Republican Party. I hope Barack Obama wins and restores America's very shabby image. The US fancies themselves to be the guardian of democracy for the International Community while at home given events during the campaign, this is indeed a huge farce.

Comment: Sarah palin when asked about becoming vp responded

"As for that VP talk all the time, I tell you, I still can't answer that question until somebody answers for me, 'what is it exactly that the VP does every day......"

After she had been the nominee for around 2 months she was asked again and this time said

[T]hey???re in charge of the U.S. Senate so if they want to they can really get in there with the senators and make a lot of good policy changes that will make life better for Brandon and his family and his classroom.

WRONG THE VP IS THERE TO STEP IN IF SOMTHING HAPPENS TO THE PRESIDENT ONLY THEY HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH POLICY AND THEY DONT RUN THE SENATE!!
If she doenst know what the vice pres or presidant does why would we give her the job

Mccain has around a 40 percent chance because of his age in not being able to

complete his term picking palin was about as smart as picking any other mrs Alaska contestant.

Its not just that we disagree with her answers in alot of cases she doesnt understand basic questions
like what is the bush doctrine, or what do you read.
    These are not gotcha questions!!!
One of advisors recently said not only was she unqualified but said mccain picked her after 1 interview of about a hour
and that even at mcdonalds you get 3 interviews.
Members of her own campaign called her a diva and a whack job.
They would know better then anyone else right now.

So mccain gambled and he lost big. He ended up with a girl that cant answer questions that most of the people reading this can answer.
at the same time mccain could never read this blog because he cant use a computer at all.
I mean his wife has 100 million dollars get him classes or something.

Am i crazy or do we want a computer literate president and a vp who can answer a least basic questions.
If you read the rest of the articles on this site you would think the world is about to end
So if thats the case these are the last 2 people you want running anything.
    let send them packing.

    ELECT OBAMA BIDEN NOW

  • Posted By: khasroo29 @ 11/02/2008 3:49:22 AM

Your correspondent is absolutely correct. The whole world is in a mess be it politically and or economically. The US is the largest consumer economy of the world and any slow down will affect rest of the world. US too the mightiest power on the earth and many things depend on their President. There is a saying, America catches cold and the rest of the world sneezes. We non americans have no role to play in the upcoming Presidential election but its result will touch all our lives. That is the reason there are so much interest in rest of the world on the result and people all over are observing the race with great interest.

How Bush figured a way to drop the price of gas before election...

"Are you trying to tell me that refiners are trying to deplete their inventories and leave themselves with real supply problems in the future? That does not make sense to me." In fact, depleting inventories is exactly what refiners would do. If the price of gasoline is plunging in the futures market, they are going to push out the door as much inventory as they can, to make room for the new cheap gasoline they can buy up on the futures market.

Bottom line, Goldman had to know they were going to plunge gasoline prices short-term with this type of trading. This smells to me like a Henry M. Paulson, Jr. to be the 74th Secretary of the Treasury, ex Chairman and ex Chief Executive Officer of Goldman Sachs operation all the way. He is the ultimate behind the scenes operator if there ever was one, and future biographies of him are very likely to note such.

    http://www.lewrockwell.com/orig7/stojan1.html

  • Posted By: max in fl @ 11/02/2008 1:29:23 AM

President George W. Bush nominated Henry M. Paulson, Jr. to be the 74th Secretary of the Treasury on June 19, 2006. The United States Senate unanimously confirmed Paulson to the position on June 28, 2006 and he was sworn into office on July 10, 2006. Before coming to Treasury, Paulson was Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Goldman Sachs. So what does Goldman do just weeks after Paulson is sworn in as Treasury Secretary? It announces a subtle move that drives down gasoline prices, short-term. Nice move, coming just months before the election.

Now it may be hard to swallow for some that market manipulations go on, but they do at all levels. Penny stock promoters cook up their schemes, and power players have their schemes. In traders jargon, it???s called painting the tape. Indeed, the Washington Post has revealed that the government has formed something that is casually known as the Plunge Protection Team. PPT is supposed to jump in and buy stocks when things are unruly. Ronald Reagan formed the PPT when he signed Executive Order 12631. It???s just another way of painting the tape (Using your tax money, or newly printed Federal Reserve dollars, of course). Goldman is a member of the secretive PPT.

But some just don't believe these kinds of manipulations go on. I have had some email discussions in recent days with some pretty sophisticated economists who don???t believe Goldman has manipulated the gasoline market. Their argument goes: "I will continue to be an economist and look at the supply and demand issues."

My reply has been, Goldman Sachs understands supply and demand ??? and they also understand trading. When you sell-off $6 billion in gasoline futures contracts, you are going to have an impact ??? as the New York Times story correctly pointed out. That is an awful lot of supply. Further, this type of aggressive selling will result in selling by others who will receive margin calls they can???t meet. And by trend followers, who will suddenly dump gasoline and other commodities. This is, indeed, exactly what is happening. Goldman Sachs didn???t get to be Goldman by not understanding this stuff. Supply and demand can explain this manipulation completely.

My email correspondents also raise a few other points.

They ask, "Why would Goldman Sachs trade this way and lose money?" The answer here is that Goldman doesn???t lose money. This is a managed commodity index. Goldman manages the index, but the actual money put up comes from institutions, hedge funds and other unlucky saps that trusted Goldman to manage the commodity index as a hedge against inflation ??? not to bail out of $6 billion in contracts over a few weeks. The result: Unlucky saps ??? Major losses. Goldman ??? Zero losses and their man running the Treasury. Which side of this trade would you want to be on?

I can't imagine McCain stepping in and repairing the image of America around the world. The image as everything else, would remain the same for 4-8 more years if McCain were elected.

Is it just me or whenever an election is taking place, the price of crude oil drops and we see MAJOR relief at the pumps. These prices at the pump, which I'm happy for, remain lower until AFTER the election. This gives me a feeling that there is some influence of these prices by Bush/ Cheney. Which upsets me because they could have helped for the PAST FOUR YEARS and not just wait for the elections to come around. They didn't want the hard feeling for high gas prices to be ANOTHER reason why you would vote for Barack.

Let's see if there is a stark difference between gas prices on 11/4/08 and 11/5/08, I would be happy to be wrong, but I'm noticing the MAJOR gas price fluctuations coincide with the election cycles.

Just look at the subjects. One represents hope, reason, deliberation, vision, and worldly views in this ever smaller planet of ours, and the other promotes fear, hatred, division, and black/white-good/evil moral gibberish. I'd say it's pretty hard to be balanced. Just look at Fox News trying to be ???fair and balanced???, and how un-news-like their service has become. The only people who want to watch Fox News and other Rupert Murdoch ventures are those who have closed their minds and believe that the rest of the world is against them. Wake up!
