OH MY Fri@$en GOD if one more McCain phone comes to my phone tonight (that is 23 call TODAY alone) I am gonna hurt someone. This is absolutely ridiculous and all of the numbers are unknown and I am on the damn do-not-call list...............................so much for that!!!

If Obama wins tonight its over, except for the Supreme Court challenge to ascertain his citizenship with the Writ of Certiorari due Dec. 1. Party on.

I'm pretty disgusted from hearing things in earlier posts as "reverse racism", and as quoted in my local paper, "michelle's our homegirl", and "I can't wait to see an African-American president." Aren't we all smart enough to vote for issues and not from race. Or aren't we? If not, where have we come? That's what I've been hearing especially on guests from Oprah's shows and her radio ads--that if people don't vote Obama it will prove America has not gotten far in its racial progress.I think it's just as ridiculous for a white man to say he's voting for McCain as it is for a black man to say he's voting for Obama because he's black. If a man or woman votes for race then that shows we've made no racial progress. I would have no problem voting white, black, red, male or female. I'm voting my ticket because of issues. I am not voting democrat because I don't believe in redistributing wealth. Half of what my husband earns is already taken every year, I don't want to pay for those who didn't go to school and get a good job. I don't want to pay for some woman's babies she keeps having because she knows the gov't will pick up the tab. If Obama believes so much in redistributing wealth why is he still a millionaire?

It seems that you have been taken in by the McPalin spin machine. Senator (hopefully President) Obama has not advocated redistributing anyone's wealth. This is a farbrication created by McCain's campaign by taking a small part of a statement and twisting it to fit their own needs. I find it very hard to believe that anyone could stand behind someone as dishorable as McCain and as lying as Palin. She lied about that infamous bridge to nowhere so much that I think she believes her own lies. McCain lied about his experiences as a POW, something that he claims has shaped who he is ("...and I have the scars to prove it"). Give me a break. These people made a decision that they wanted to win by any means necessary and didn't care how much destruction they left in their wake. If they lose, and I pray that they do, they will only be getting what they rightly deserve.

WITH INSURMOUNTABLE LEADS IN ALL THE POLLS, THE QUESTION IS NO LONGER WHO WILL WIN, BUT HOW BIG OF A LANDSLIDE OBAMA WILL WIN BY: 90%? 80%? 70%? HENCE, IT CAN ALREADY BE DECLARED THAT OUR SAVIOR, BARACK OBAMA, HAS WON AND WILL BE THE NEXT PRESIDENT OF OUR NEW OBAMACA NATION.

THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR SUPPORT AND DEDICATION. WE HAVE SUCCESSFULLY SMITED THE UNBELIEVERS AND OPENED THE ONE AND ONLY GATE TO HEAVEN. GOD BLESS US, GOD BLESS US ALL.

THE ONLY THING LEFT IS FOR MCCAIN TO DROP DEAD OR CONCEDE ALREADY. WE HAVE WON FOR THE GOOD OF THE WHOLE WORLD!

Can't wait for a socialistic society! I don't need my money, that lazy uneducated guy deserves it more than me! Who cares if Obama has less political experience than Palin, he talks so well! Tax cuts for everyone, and at the same time lowering debt. How? I don't know, but I've never written a bill anyways, I'm sure Biden can do it. Lets break party lines. I mean, I voted 100% for democratic bills the entire 4 years I held a political office.!

Care for some cheese with that whine? I realize that may seem too elitist for you, but i'm sure we can fry you up some mozzerella sticks. All kidding aside though, you are aware that social welfare pails in comparison to corporate welfare in our budget right? You don't need your money though, lets give it too the over-compensated, well educated CEO. My advise is to just sit back and be happy that it can't be worse than Bush's run. What a long strange trip it's been.

'Food' for Thought: It's all about Ice Cream ..Written by a third grade teacher........

It's all about the Ice Cream .....
The most eye-opening civics lesson I ever had was while teaching third grade in 2000. The presidential election was heating up and some of the children showed an interest. I decided we would have an election for a class president. We would choose our nominees. They would make a campaign speech and the class would vote.

To simplify the process, candidates were nominated by other class Members. We discussed what kinds of characteristics these students should have. We got many nominations and from those, Jamie and Olivia were picked to run for the top spot.

The class had done a great job in their selections. Both candidates were good kids. I thought Jamie might have an advantage because he got lots of parental support. I had never seen Olivia's mother. The day arrived when they were to make their speeches Jamie went first. He had specific ideas about how to make our class a better place. He ended by promising to do his very best. Everyone applauded

He sat down and Olivia came to the podium. Her speech was concise.
She said, "If you will vote for me, I will give you ice cream." She sat down.

The class went wild. "Yes! Yes! We want ice cream."
She surely would say more. She did not have to. A discussion followed. How did she plan to pay for the ice cream? She wasn't sure. Would her parents buy it or would the class pay for it? She didn't know. The class really didn't care. All they were thinking about was ice cream. Jamie was forgotten. Olivia won by a land slide.

Every time Barack Obama opens his mouth he offers ice cream, and fifty percent of America reacts like nine-year-olds. They want ice cream. The other fifty percent know they're going to have to feed the cow.

    • Posted By: yelekaw @ 11/04/2008 5:33:02 PM

But what happens when only one child in the class controls 50% of the ice cream and is not willing to let any of it go and STILL wants everyone to come up with some bowls and spoons to use for himself?

Its not about handouts, it is about equality. Speaking in millions may be too hard for some to comprehend. So lets break it down a bit. Roughly 2 out of every 10,000 people enjoy over 50% of the wealth in this country. If that money is left untouchable...what happens?! There is less wealth and opportunity for the other 9,998 people who are out there making it happen. Businesses, and the wealthy in America use far more of our infrastructure and resources than Joe the plumber. They should pay more. A strong middle class is what this country needs to function well. If we are sick, and poor, and uneducated then the country is nothing.

Peace and a strong economy - things that McCain doesn't understand.

  • Posted By: marley07 @ 11/04/2008 1:41:31 PM

Over and out. Done on these things, which i am sure you Obama nuts will be happy about. you people are too blind to listen to anything and have a conversation. if Obama wins, i will watch these blogs and see the reactions of people in a year or 2 when they are sucked dry of everything they once knew and loved. Those of you supporting Obama that do work hard and fall below this line drawn in the sand, shame on you for accepting a plan that gives you more money taken from others that simply worked harder to get somewhere than you did. And to the rest who are lazy and unmotivated to do anything for yourself and be accountable, start writing thank you cards to all those who you are stealing money from. Enjoy Marxism, socialism, which ever you choose to call it.

    • Posted By: davidhp @ 11/04/2008 4:20:33 PM

Obama is not the one sucking working people dry, it is McCain's buddies in the corporate world who export good paying jobs and replace them with minimum wage service jobs. McCain's tax plans with continue to reward intenational corporations at the expense of the working people in this country who make up the vast majority of the population, So keep believing McCain's lies about taking care of working people - he will export you job and have you flipping burgers and call that progress.

    • Posted By: Nowforsomemoretruth @ 11/04/2008 1:56:51 PM

Well, If Obama wins there will be one good thing. There will be no possible justification for reverse racism in the form of affirmative action quotas. His election would disprove its advocates principal arguments.

Now..truth. great point, it doesn't matter because the dems will never let go of the reins. I'm concerned that with ACORN and the dem tactics of illegal suppresion..i.e. Black Panthers at Philly Polls? What is going on with the right and the left's blind ambitions for legislative power. I'm am concerned for the country I love.

That's more like it nowformorecrapola, When you tried to use the Right to life, for the first time ever it fell a little flat. now you're back to your old hateful racist self. Throw a few Barrys and muslims and terrorists stuff in there too. You are a mouth-breathing low life. When are you going to answer the question I've ask several time on different articles. Which is worse, having contacts with a domestic terrorist when you were 8 years old. sitting in a church that has a reverend that goes off in a anti-american rant. attending a party that is also attended by a PLO spokesman. Or, belonging to a Republican party of have, one that gives aid and comfort to the KKK and the NeoNazi and depends on their support in return. A party of hate led by puppeteers like Hannity, Limbaugh, Matalin, Morris, Pat Robertson and Tom Delay.?

I suprised your idolized leaders haven't accussed Barack Obama of being seen with convicted felon Ted Stevens because they were on the Senate Floor together.

      • Posted By: sunsfanphx1 @ 11/04/2008 2:27:51 PM

A plan that gives you more money taken from others that work harder? From these corporate parasites that sit back and collect huge bonuses for running their companies and our economy into the ground? They are far from hard working Americans. They are a drain on society and are rewarded for it with overblown salaries and golden parachutes that ensure they will never know the meaning of hard work. They should pay in proportion to the drain on society that they create. It is corporate hotshots and financial hacks whose sole purpose is to generate a profit for themselves by manipulating the money of shareholders and investors that have created the financial crisis that we are in. It is about time they be made to carry their share of the load and help pay to fix the problems they have created.

        • Posted By: Nowforsomemoretruth @ 11/04/2008 2:32:38 PM

Obama, along with his democratic buddies in Congress, personally and professionally advocated for a residential housing policy favoring forced sub-prime lending, which subsequently resulted in massive defaults and foreclosures, leading to your loss of significant equity value in your home, to the point that it destabilized your banks, which panicked the stock market, which wiped out your savings.

Look and listen to Obama for yourself. Obama in this video, addressing his community activist work and his work representing ACORN in litigation against the banks and relating to the Community Reinvestment Act, and addressing the failure of Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae as those actions relate to the destruction of our economy by causing the current real estate and subsequent financial crisis, states that, and I quote:

"Subprime lending started out as a good idea, helping Americans buy homes who previously could not afford to. Financial institutions created new financial instruments that could securitize these loans, slice them into finer and finer risk categories, and spread them out among investors and around the country, as well as around the world. In theory, this should have allowed mortgage lending to be less risky, and more diversified."

Acknowledging the catastrophe, but as apologist for the Democrats, Obama then offers this justification.

"The original idea was a good one, which was, lets see if we can distribute risk more broadly, and make it easier to provide loans to people who otherwise might not be able to get one."

Yah, great idea. Economically unsound, but embraced by Obama. Listen for yourself. You cannot dispute the mans on words recorded live:

          http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lr1M1T2Y314&feature=related

The democrats failed social engineering policies in the housing market are what brought us to ruin. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lr1M1T2Y314&feature=related
Even Bill Clinton says so. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XsynspIqAoE
Obama and a supermajority of Democrats simply is not the change we need, nor is it change we can afford.

If you're a third grade teacher than I would suggest that you get on the internet and instead of posting stories about 3rd graders you might want to check Obamas website and other web sites partisona s well as non partison and start reading.... you will then have a better idea where you're ice cream is coming from.

When you see video's of people crying because they lost their house it is not some lower middle class working joe, it is the guy buying a house for $600,000 who really should have stuck with the $300,000 house. Regarding the financial meltdown, it really isn't even the falling price of homes that is causing the headache but the fact that deregulation allowed greedy wall streeters to illegally bet on whether prices would go down while pocketing millions and millions of so called insurance policy money. It appears you only want to tell part of the truth.

  • Posted By: mrzoid @ 11/04/2008 2:51:37 PM

McCain looks so tired out there campaigning in Colorado. I felt almost sorry for him, but then at the end they started blasting "Here I Go Again" by Whitesnake.... after that i couldn't feel sorry for him, there's just no excuse for that.
