      I have a Bachelors Degree in Organzational Leadership. I am not uneduated. I am a hard working single mother. I am a Christian. I do not expect the entire country to pay me for my failures by giving me a free handout. That is why I have a degree. Obama supporters just want to cash in on his lies. They may do so, but shame on them. I have had to work my entire life to have anything. My children are determined to do the same. I am proud of my country but I am ashamed of some of my fellow Americans that are trying to destroy it. Look at all the countries that have outlawed the Christian Bible and turned away form God. Those countries are poverty stricken and face famine and flood and wars and other disasterous weather. Their people are oppressed and everyone one form every corner of the world wants to make America their home. Soon because of sin and because we as a country have turned our backs on the one and only true God and we have invited other Gods into our country, and allowed muslims and Buddists and Sikhs to build their temples to worship these false gods, we soon shall see that God will turn his hand of protection away from our wonderful country and then we will see what happens.

        And I'm ashamed that some of my fellow Americans seek to strip America of the diversity that makes it great. I think what you want is a country full of people who are just like you. It's funny, because our forefathers founded this country because they didn't want to live like that. But, I have to say, it was nice to read a comment from someone who could speak intelligently about their beliefs. Without angry euphemisms. Also, good for you for standing up for yourself. Freedom of speech is pretty great, isn't it.

I don't make over $250,000 yet but intend to in the near future, and I resent Obama presidency who will rob me out of my hard earned money and give it to the ones who don't get off their butts (old and disabled excluded) and work for a living.

    I had thought I would be upset, but after hearing his share the wealth program ideas, I think it's great. I make $80,000 and live in a modest 3572 square foot home on the golf course here in Shreveport. I have a nice pool and pay $672.00 a month for my home. Utilities are about $225.00 am month, and somewhere up north in one of the red states where a 2 bedroom apartment costs about $1500.00 some one gets to share their wealth with me. Boy, this is great, that will help pay my country club fees, cart fees, and lawn service. Maybe they will pay my maid service while the wife and I travel the country in our 38 foot gooseneck camper being pulled by my new pickup. And just think, no southern state supported him, and it will benefit the south more than anywhere else. Don't you just love it, the people who voted Obama in will get the priviledge of sharing wealth with the people who wouldn't vote him for dog catcher. Thanks guys, you are the greatest.

        I???m reading all these posts and trying to understand why all of you Obama supporters believe that he is going to turn this country around. Do you all know something that everyone else doesn???t? What it is his proven track record? What has he done that has proven this to you all? I see a very intelligent man in Obama and a strong speaker; almost ???dictatorship like??? but that is it. He is the most inexperienced politician to ever be elected at this level.             How do you know he won't crack? He has never been faced with a crisis, and the one he is about to jump into is massive. I won't argue, he is a great speaker and an educated man but it is going to take a hell of a lot more than being articulate to run this country.

            The economy is not the only issue we have; there is a war going on; we all tend to forget about that because our soldiers (my brother) are the ones over there fighting so the war isn???t brought to our front doors.

              He hasn't cracked yet unlike some other candidates who seem to forget what and who they stand for and go ahead speaking against his/her party. As for paying for your lifestyle, I actually pity you that you feel that you need and require someone to do something that you are capable of.     This election is not about race, because really there is only one race voting, it's called the human race.!
    I embrace the "change" which Obama speaks of, our country needs a major boost in every aspect of our federal government. And maybe tonight is a really good time to reflect on the premise and foundation of our country "united we stand, divided we fall"
    Some will pray to God, some will choose threats, some can not even write a sentence correctly, yet we all have the very good fortune of living in a country will free speech and the right to vote. Use your power wisely America!

      You are all in complete denial if you think this election was not about race. If that is true then why did the black community come out and vote in record numbers this year than all previous election years? Did the black community just start caring about the state and future of this country in 2008? Maybe all the voters that came out are racist and they don???t like old white people.       I have been called a racist more times these past few months than I have in my entire life because I am a McCain supporter. I am Hispanic and I voted for McCain, not because of the color of his skin but because he has 26 years of experience as a law maker and knows how the government works. Not to mention I would feel a bit safer with someone that has served in the United States Military and knows how to fight for this country, considering that we are in the middle of a war!! Obama has 145 days experience as a Senator. Are you people out of your minds!!!!! At this point all we can do is hope for the best.

It had appeared that one of your comments was in response to Suzy's, but now I see your comment was in response to someone named Rod. You had stated that you doubted that he would ever vote for a black man. While I now see your comment in its appropriate context, I still feel your comment was somewhat reckless and uncalled for since Rod seemed more concerned with Obama's Muslim heritage, not his race...granted stated in an ignorant manner, but still a valid concern.

    Mchyrel: I am assuming that the unwritten ending to your post would be something like, "And those who believe these things are okay should have the right to do them." Correct? Well, following the logic of your post, it should also be safe to say that those who believe stealing is wrong should not steal, those that believe selling or taking drugs is wrong should not do so, those who believe homicide is wrong should not kill, etc. - but those who are okay with those things should be free to do them???

      Hi Leah,
      How funny. I wrote a very similar blog entry and hadn't even read your comment. Scroll down a bit to my other entry, you'll see what I mean. I get so irritated when I hear people use that "well, if you don't agree with something, just don't do it yourself." However, that would mean we would all have to blind ourselves to others' wrongdoings, and never pitch in and help. Why is it okay to legislate morality for stealing, fraud, or murder, but not for abortion? We don't get a "choice" to decide if we want to steal from The Gap even if it's to give some clothes to the poor. We don't get a "choice" to kill an adult, even if they have had an affair on us or molested our child. I also find it interesting that many people will be all for animal rights, but have indifference to killing tiny humans. I couldn't kill any animals in my biology class, and I couldn't kill a baby in the womb. I think people support abortion because it seems harmless to end a life you can't see. It seems antiseptic, even. Clean up a little mess with a little surgical procedure. So neat and clean, and I can keep my tidy, organized little life the way I want! I used to be more indifferent to abortion when I was younger, as long as it wasn't used as birth control. Now that I am a little older, and know a number of dear friends and family who have undergone them, I actually feel much stronger against it. Not for the women who have made that choice, necessarily, but for those who have made it accessible and seemingly more acceptable. As I said below, I hope to one day meet my aborted, mixed race brother, Julian in Heaven (he was conceived in a rape situation.) And no, I am not pro-war for war's sake, as someone below spoke of. For defense, yes; offense, no!

      So, if I follow your logic, if I disagree with stealing merchandise, I shouldn't steal, if I disagree with fraud, I shouldn't commit fraud, and if I disagree with murder, I shouldn't commit murder, and the one thing I MUST do is never place my morals on another human? That's SILLY. If I see someone burning my neighbor's garage down, I'll interfere. If I see someone attack someone in an alley, I'll do something, not just stand there. And if I find out that approximately 3750 children are killed each day in the USA while in the womb (less than 8 percent being for reasons of rape, incest, and the life/health of the mother), then how can I stand idly by? Someday I hope to meet my mixed race oldest brother Julian (ironically, he'd be 46) in Heaven--he was aborted because he was a child of rape, and it is my hope to make him PROUD!

      Love: Doing what is in the best interest of the Loved.
      It just tickles me when the word "tolerance" comes up, and the word love. How interesting that it is always against Christians and used to protect those who are not in agreement with them.
      I agree, if we want morality, then we should live morally. If we choose to live with out morality then we choose to do that. But why DO PEOPLE need to get married? Why then do we have to waste time and money fighting this stuff in each and every State. We, as Christians, fight it because it is Hurting the people whom choose to live that way. Also, We DO have the right to defend what WE believe. That's NOt love?, That's not tolerance?
      Abortion: Murder!!! Harmful to the mother, the Child, and the father in many instances. It's not love to try to stop it? It's not okay for us to voice our opinion, you do!
      What about welfare, do you believe it is the governments job to take care of everybody? It's not.
      What about all other social issues, We , as Christians, have the right to vote our beliefs, we have the right to speak out against anything we feel is offencive to us. JUST like you do. It's not intolereance to care for people, It's not horrible to say something is wrong, People have a distorted view of what Christianity is supposed to be, a bunch of mamby pamby people who sit around and have little love feasts while the rest of the world goes to hell. We have a resposibility to bring light into the world. We don't fight against people but against dark things in the earth.{Deception}

When Obama wins, we must not hate anyone who voted for McCain, we must prove to them through our democratic behavior that we are one nation and will work together to right the wrongs of the Bush debacle.         This is not about socailizing America, it's about those who work hard, pay taxes and believe in "the American Dream" getting a fair shake. Do you know the profit margin the oil companies have made during G.W. Bush's adminstration? That is your money my friend, well it was until you had to heat your home, by fuel to get to work or pay higher prices for the food you set on your table, becaus that also took crude oil to transport to your table. Do you believe that this system is working for you?

      Chill out, I'm a huge obama supported, donor and voter. Plenty of the mouth-breathing bottom feeding Republicans from the party of hate can vouch for me. The huge African American is because we have an African American, soon to be President running.

      As far as racism of course we have that too. it has been a hallmark of the GOP since LBJ signed the Civil rights Act. Are we gradually getting past that? Yes. Why? It's our children who are showing us the way. when schools became integrated the kids, overtime attended classes, participated in atheletic together and started socializing together. The rest is history. We're all the same when it comes to race and we're all in this thing together.

      The republicans still have the welcome mat out for the KKK and the NeoNazis. They headquarter in the Red states. Some states are struggling to break free and some are close to accomplishing it. Virginia, North Caroling, Georgia and Ohio are making hugh strides. The Red States are shrinking and the reason is that hate is on the run. Soon the GOP party of hate will be reduced to third party status.

    It was good during the Clinton administration because Reagan had it already set up when he entered office. Because of Clinton, we have the housing mess we are in now. Because of Clinton, who cut the military budget more than anyone since Vietnam, my son, who served in Iraq twice, had to train PRETENDING he had bullets to use because there was no money for real ammo. Things have gone sour during the Bush administration because of all the stupid things Clinton did.
