    I can't believe the things that I'm reading on the posted comments. There is a thing called separtion of church and state, and religon should not be a factor in the race nor should race. When George Bush was elected, he did not have a clue as to how to run the country. Bush won the election because of 9/11, and went into Iraq based on poorly gathered information, and then covered the blunder with finding WMDs as an excuse to raid this country. McCain and his lame running mate chant we will win the war in Iraq when we should have pulled out like the rest of our alies did. Thousands have died and tens of thousands have come home with half a life. The Republican party has lied from the beginning and still ramble on about winning this war.
    Bin Lardin still has not been caught, and our children are paying the price. Our children will go on to pay the price on our economy that has sank our country and other nations. The Republican party does not have a good relations with other nations to whom we traded with. What I saw in the presidential debates as follows:
    McCain wants to give americans five thousand dollars towards their health insurance which will add on to your incomes which will be taxed. Second winning the war on Iraq has not helped us in finding Osama. Third our international relations will suffer. And last Palin does not have a clue as to what's going on in the world as far as international relations are concerned. And believe you me if something as death God forbids if McCain dies, she will run the country? If we wish to continue to pay for a war that should not have ever been started, then vote republican, so we can win the war on terror. I am voting for a candidate that can smooth out the relations with our alies, make sure that all americans are covered with health care, bring back our lost industries so that our middle class can go back to work, and of course find Osama. So those are mentally
    challanged on race need to wake up and smell the coffee, we as a country are in trouble, and if we don't put our ideas into prospective we as a nation will truely be in trouble.

      Religion has always played a role in politics and always will. Pres Bush was better off without knowing how to run a country. Pres. Bush had correct information when deciding to go into Iraq. Don't always believe the liberal media. Thousands have died in Iraq, but if you run the numbers against the number of people who have deployed, I think you would find that it is safer in Iraq than in the US. You can also compare the numbers against the 600,000 killed in the Civil War, or 400,000 in WWII. As far as relations with other countries, we are fine. Why don't you worry about fixing the trade deficit with China by giving all our business to Mexico. Let's get a little isolationist.

        43's reason for going into Iraq was to get rid of the weapons of mass destruction. If I remember correctly, neither 43 nor Dick Cheney nor any of their guys could ever find any WMD. So Bush did not have "correct information" when we went into Iraq.

    Yeah, I laugh a lot about the race comments. That is the first charge made by the African American public. But, let me ask the African American public a question? Have you ever met a black racist? They do exist. I judge people by their character and moral fibre. I don't care if Obama is purple with pink polka-dots, I don't agree with his views. I wish our African American brethren would stop using the race card on non-racists. If you want a race card, I'm primarily Native American. Talk about a minority. My family had to shed the whole, barbaric, stone age, pioneer killer thing. My ancestors were treated less than the Africans of that time. At least the Africans weren't pushed to a barren far corner of their own land to try and scratch out an existance.

        Yeah, black people were only sold and shipped on boat half way across the world to work as slaves. Yep, we've had it so good being raped, killed and maimed just for the color of our skin.     I totally agree with 'uneedtoknow' .. Sen. Obama very rarely speaks about his white side..It was only recently..a few weeks ago (most likely after being adivsed of this fact.. that he made a TV commercial showing his white mother and grandparents.) To my knowledge and belief, he would not be the first African-American President, but instead he would be the first Preisdent of Mixed Race. I wish that he would claim his white side like he does his black side as if the white were not there!

    Obama's ill-conceived programs will require him to tax, and his health care plan alone is a substantial hidden tax on all business, large an small. In reality, it does not really matter who he taxes, those taxes are going to be passed through the economy. He has to tax, because it is they only way he can pay for his massive social engineering experiments. Any first year economics student knows that taxation is a tool used to contract an economy experiencing inflation, because it reduces demand by reducing the amount of money individuals and businesses have to spend. It is contractionary, which is exactly what you do not want to do when the problem is that the economy is contracting already into recession. Like Hoover and FDR, Obama's plans will only make it worse for longer.

      I am voting for Barack Obama because I believe in his ability to unite the country. I beleive that affordable, competent health care should be a right of all american's, and the uninsured cost all Americans dearly. I beleive Obama's views on most of the Forign Policy issues we are diealing with right now are far more pragmatic than McCain's. I beleive that Obama's fierce commitment to alternative energy is exactly what this country needs. It would create a wealth of jobs, and move us away from foriegn oil. I think that if Obama's campaign is any indication of his governing style, that we will have the most effecient, responsive government ever. And finally, Obama's judgement in picking a VP, when compared to McCain's on the same issue is far superior.

                  The sad part about all of this, is that it's really dividing the people of this great country, I personally don't like either man for president. One doesn't have the vision this country needs, and the other doesn't have the needed experience, so who do you vote for????? The one thing alot of people chose to forget, that in the late 70's early 80's, when Jimmy Carter was president, with Democratic Congress and Senate, spending was out of control and interest rates were 21-22 %. Home morgages were running 18-20%. Most don't remember of chose to forget, but I don't, it wasn't nice. My only hope is that whom ever gets the job, is that the spending is kept under control, or else we will end up in the same place we were 28 years ago. I'm here to say, to all of you, you don't want to go there!!!! You think times are rough now, wait until interest rates skyrocket, and unempolyment goes well above 10%, like in 1980-82.               My past was quite happy as is my present. Thank you. My future, however, is looking pretty depressing due to the thought of having to live in a socialist controlled country. I wanted better for my children. I am not impressed with a Psychologists point of view of my personal opinions. As for now we still have a free country and I can believe as I wish. I know a homeless man that is voting for Barack. I asked him why, and he said "because I want someone of my own kind to be president, the White man has had control long enough" This is the mentality of thousands of people. There are trucks out in front of voting sites today from the Bureau of Motor Vehicles just in case someone needs to get their ID's validated.       Iraq was a threat to Middle East security. Iraq was a threat to Israel and the supply of global oil. Iraq was a threat to his own people, as he gassed and killed thousands of them. Our presence in Iraq has been a magnet to Al-Quaeda, who have come to Iraq to battle our well trained miltiary. I supposed fighting the people responsible for 9/11, freeing a nation from a brutal dictator who killed his own people and establishing a lasting strategic alliance in the Middle East for decades to come was a waste of time?

    Isn't it nice how hateful and nasty McCain supporters/conservatives are? I can't imagine Obama supporters/liberals calling those supporting McCain names such as "lazy, stupid and ignorant." It's a whole different way of looking at the world, isn't it?

      The anger, aggression hostility and judgement is actually quite frightening...In my opinion, that is at the the core of why we so deserately need a new direction... one that breeds hope and optimism.
