    gnbsimps.....you make a lot of comments but I havent seen a sengle fact in any of them......Alot of blind liberal statements with no facts to back them.up....wow you do sound like Obama. Tell me some facts and I guarantee Ill refute every one you state with two facts about why Obama shouldnt be elected.

    best.ashley, don't forget that God also brought Queen Esther into the picture to help lead her people out of harms way. I women has a strong intuition and it might be time to bring just that into an office that is great need.

    Well you can be sure that the emotional appeal of change has resulted in the landslide you will see. THis will be misinterpreted, as usual, as a mandate for drastic change and there will be no one in Washington to keep things from getting out of control. So in 2010 you will see a wave of revulsion and buyer's remorse. Will Obama learn from the Clinton example or keep on keeping on and replicate Carter's 1980 demise in 2012?

    What we seem to forget is that the Electoral College really decides who is to be President and as they have done in the past, they can over-ride the popular vote. Our vote is only supposed to guide them just like our elected officials are supposed to be looking out for our common interests, and we all know how well that has worked. I would be much happier if tomorrow morning they announce who won the popular vote and when the college has finished voting, tell us who our next leader will be. I'm tired of the political messages everywhere you go.

    Who is Barack Hussein Obama? He gives an eloquent poetic speech that moves people, but where is the content? I have too many questions about the man. The 600 million dollars for his campaign was spent on his well oiled political machine to promote himself (he is not shy about making jokes about his ego as at the Alfred E. Smith Memorial dinner.) If he truly wanted to spread the wealth he would have given more to charity in his lifetime (that???s putting money where it counts) and he could have given more to those who are homeless and jobless.
    This is more about marketing a man for political gain than what he would do for this country. One of rousing speeches was given in front of crowds of ten before he gave them in front of 1000???s (PBS, Frontline). His political team carefully handcrafted who to target and what topics would move people.
    I say the true character of a man shows from who he keeps company with. Let???s go through the following company Obama keeps: Jeremiah Wright (condemned this country and had an affair with a Caucasian woman, New York Post), Tony Rezko (aiding and abetting bribery, wire fraud etc. FOX News) William Ayers (New York Times in September 2001, "I don't regret setting bombs...I feel we didn't do enough."). Each time the news came out about these people he distanced himself from them and even cut ties. What kind of a friend is it, that stops being associated with the person or decides not to acknowledge them just for gain of a political career ?

    Want to know why so many companies have taken so many manufacturing jobs and relocated overseas? Oh, let's see, remember "NAFTA"? Yes, NAFTA was being pounded on in the primaries by the Democrats Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton. But wait, wasn't it Hillary's husband and another Democrat President Bill Clinton who pushed that one through? So, now Obama wants to heavily tax the big corporations so much and impose so many fines and regulations that he will in effect run off the companies and the jobs that are still left in America. Economics 101! Hope you like it.

      No, he includes clean coal in his energy plan. Here is the quote from the plan:

      "Obama???s Department of Energy will enter into public private partnerships to develop five ???first-of-a-kind??? commercial scale coal-fired plants with clean carbon capture and sequestration technology. "

      Obama has a broad-spectrum energy plan to move away from imported oil. It includes drilling for more oil, clean coal, wind, solar and bio-fuels.

      His Cap and Trade system would make it very difficult for the coal industry to survive, even with so called "clean coal" technologies. The death of the coal industry would either come from extremely prohibitive taxes or from the extremely high cost of "carbon credits" traded/purchased between businesses. Either scenario would essentially bankrupt the coal industry in the long run.

    It is ALL about race. I am all for Equal Opportunity but where is that for the whites? Do you get a United White College fund? Is there a White Only TV station? WET? All networks at least have some kind of black person to avoid the racist card which blacks draw quicker than Billy the Kid. They can call you cracker but we can't call them ***? WTF?! Talk about double standard! The majority of the population is white so it should conform to what the mass public is. Hell even the Latinos outnumber the blacks. You don't hear them whining.     Why is it that theRepublican party tote McCain like the 2nd coming of Jesus? This country is in the shape that it's in because of the current administration, but I don't see any Republicans here taking credit for it, instead they play "bait and switch" and cry about what terrible things an Obama administration will do. FACE UP TO AND DEAL WITH WHAT YOUR PARTY HAS ALREADY DONE. I guess a white man doing further damage is better than a black man trying to promote change. You put Bush in the Whitehouse and have now abandoned him for the newer model of the same OLD thing. Perhaps McCains "trickle down theory" will work in 2009 although it hasn't in 300 years. The rich don't stay rich spreading their wealth. They do it by sending your job to Mexico.

    I am white and black and have family members on both sides voting for Obama. This is not "a personal issue over what happened many years ago". This is an issue of who you think will be a better leader, and many blacks as well as whites don't want another "Bush". We see where that has gotten us.

    Comments like the one posted by jr1979 are very scary. In a country where I as an African American female teacher have the wonderful privlege to teach students in elementary school the wonderful benefits of being an American and the freeedom to choose. The comments seem so hateful and really unrealistic. I hope that no matter what the outcome of tonight's election, we remember the example we set will teach our children! (teaching in florida)

        Reganomics ring any bells? His "free markets" and "trickledown" economics is what got us into this state right now. Although he was not the brain child of it, he is the one who pushed it. Remember all the Credit flowing in the 80's? My cat could get a credit card back then. Regan got away with alot more than he should have, he had some personality and was a FORMER star, so peeps didn't give him as much crap as they have Bush, but in reality Regan should have gone to jail for his ILLEGAL Arms trading with Iran.

    I think the founding fathers stood for freedom, which, by the way, has been eroded by the current administration. I agree about the mudslinging...look at what some had to resort to in this campaign. I'm hoping we GIVE HOPE A CHANCE (and acceptance as well!) Peace to all!
