Also i believe that EVERYONE should go to factcheck.org if you have not already found this web site and check what you hear before speakin what u think..

Factcheck is clearly run by Democrats. It is not reliable. Do your own research - don't rely on the Democratic Politcal Machine to tell you WHAT TO THINK!!!!

Obama is a Us Citizen he has a lot of potential to stand up for our country. McCain is a war monger he will ruin this county worse then it is you must not know what you are talking about. Obama has something no one else has. He seems to be very trust worthy Just think have you ever heard him mention the fact that Palin as a 17 year old daughter with a baby no because he knows you don't do that, but if it was him who had a 17 year old with a baby Palin would be all over it don't you see the difference open your eyes and think before you speak.

It's interesting how you speak for someone else. How could you even know what Palin would say?? You just assume. Just like the rest of the people that are voting without even looking over the candidates policies. Just remember...because of John McCain "The War Monger" you are able to sit in a free country and insult him. You are ungrateful. You have no idea what it is even like to sacrifice your life and your time. Your freedom wasn't free. So after you're done sitting back, probably stuffing your face with McDonalds, you should get out and do something for your country.

Prejudice and ignorance is the reason why our country is currently in such turmoil. Immigrants have contributed so much to this country without getting much in return. Immigrants have no benefits because they do not have a Social Security Number, so how will the get Welfare!!! When ever theirs a problem people just try to find some one to pin it on. The real problem is that all the jobs are being outsourced to china, india, Malaysia..... While we are busy fighting the war, China is getting rich by Lending us (USA) money and trading with other countries.

I think it would be Obama. Despite McCain's illustruous experience and excellent oratorial skills, I feel that he was unable to get out of the Bush Shadow. Obama successfully and strategically kept tying up McCain to Bush - including the recent Dick Cheyney alliance - and McCain tried to say he is not Bush! But do people notics??? The main reasons? Does anyone believe that what is being said is going to truly be what they do after they are elected? When you have a candidate promising people who set on the couch all day with their hands out for free stuff, is it any wonder there is a record number turning out to vote. It's sad this important race is mostly about color. The African-American people are making this a "personal" issue not an informed issue. Sad for all of us!

It is incredible just how gullible people in this country. They are willing to elect a person to be the President of our country that has never held a real job AND has barely served his state as a member of the Senate. This lack of experience alone is why I will not vote for Obama. That lack of experience is evident in his platform. We as a nation has grown weaker and weaker as we give and give to those who never paid into the system. We make it easier to be a part of that system of welfare, (including giving benefits to illegal aliens instead of showing them to the border!), at the expense of those of us who work. We need to go back to being personally responsible, not only as individuals, but as a nation as well. I don't hear any of that from Senator Obama.
On a personal note: I have the highest standard of living of my entire life. But I didn't get it by expecting a handout or believing it is my "right" to have everything that comes down the pike. Obviously, the Bush economy didn't hurt everyone. It has hurt everyone who spends like there is no tomorrow. Start making good decisions!

    • Posted By: naturalmama @ 11/04/2008 2:35:45 PM

ok..so i hear what your saying BUT! All of this "stuff" your talking about how Obama is not qualifed for the job...and Bush is?! Come on dude you have to know that he was a complete idoit throughout his whole time in office. Wars that should have never been started in the first place, school fundings cut, young men and women dying overseas...shall i continue...time for change dude! Anything different from this would be a victory for this country...anything different!

I am a 57 year old white woman who lives in the south (Texas). I would have no problem at all voting for a black man (J.C. Watts, Colin Powell) or woman (Condoleeza Rice) for President. They are intelligent, experienced and honest as the day is long. I just can't vote for THIS black man. He came up through the ranks at the knees of some very dubious people in Chicago. He has lied throughout the campaign. He is the most leftist liberal EVER in the Senate and he "stole" the caucuses from Hillary (shich she and Bill will not forget - and they do get their revenge). So give me a candidate that knows what he is doing and one that is not so left that he makes Nancy Pelosi look moderate, and I will consider voting for him. The problem is that the blacks in this country want a "black man" any "black man" as President to prove something and it is unfortunate that this is the one they are picking to lead out nation at a time when we need experience and a strong leader who other leaders from dictatorial countries knows means business. Obama is weal and I am afraid we are in for a world of hurt militarily, financially and socially if this man comes to power. He is a very dangerous man and you do noto see it now, but you will and I have been around long enough to have predicted it with Kennedy & Cuba and Carter & Iran. Biden was right - there will be a test on Obama - should he be elected and God help us all. You just don't know what you are doing in voting for THIS black man.

    • Posted By: itsmylife @ 11/04/2008 2:34:57 PM

It's unfortunate that blacks have to feel like they have something to prove. You're talking about how he came up in Chicago and what he did to Hillary is not saying much. Give me a break! They are all dirty. Surely, you don't think McCain would serve this country well. If Obama is evil, he is the lesser of the two evils. The fact that you had to tell your race and talk about THIS black man says a lot about you. SHAME!

    • Posted By: itsmylife @ 11/04/2008 2:19:24 PM

Why does race have to be a part of it? Your saying THIS black man like there was one before him. I don't think ANY black man would be good enough for you. You'd find something wrong with Colin Powell. One day hopefully, we'll be able to look past race and vote for the person. Just say he is not the person for the job not THIS black man. Sounds racist to me!!!!!

Janewhite...you realize the senate is currently made up of democrats at the moment...correct? Why should others support you, call your parents, not the government....you should be ashamed asking for handouts...as far as the job market...i see now hiring signs all over....I feel I should not be held liable & forced to take money out of my pocket & away from my families needs to support everyone else....You are also stereotyping on the whole Republican party. You want to talk about selfish, how about all those unborn children's lives you are murdering, because you think its YOUR body.....now that is selfish to me!

    • Posted By: SarahJane @ 11/04/2008 2:34:47 PM

Yes, I said the Democrats don't have a veto-proof majority in the Senate, never said they didn't have the majority; they're two different things. Exactly what was I asking a handout for? I am uncertain as to what you are referring when you say I need to support myself, call my parents, and be ashamed to ask for handouts. I actually do have a job, currently three to pay what my parents can't cover for college. I am in no way "murdering" other people's children by protecting my right as an individual woman to choose whether or not I would abort any pregnancy I personally will have. It is my body to do with what I wish, I put none of my personal choices on another person.

  • Posted By: ruckus @ 11/04/2008 2:32:53 PM

It's funny how all you Republicans say McCain is what this country needs. Sure, if we want someone that doesn't know the first thing about the economy by all means vote for him. Bush, along with McCain's 90% backing, has lead this country into the biggest national debt we've ever had, $10 Trillion. When Bill Clinton left office we had a surplus of $327 Billion. Our economy had never been as strong as it was during the Clinton administration. Now, thanks to the Bush administration, we have families living in tents all across America. When are Americans going to wake-up and realize that the GOP doens't care about the American people, they only care about making more money. What do they care if millions of people get hurt in the process.

Comment: You should be ashame you bed wetting liberal.

Really, Rita. Can't we have intelligent discourse in this country without resorting to name calling? One of the many wonderful things about the USA is that we are free to disagree. I'm glad to see so many passionate voters (I hope you voted Rita) but lets keep it civil folks. You can't fling mud without getting some on yourself.

You GOP clones are all pinheads. Did you get your education from a forwarded email? If you had the presence of mind to look facts up.. the choice would be clear.

There is one thing that I would really like to see this year. Unity. Some of the facts regarding social relationship with elections are: After the election we are all still alive able to play with family, friends, go to the movies, eat copious amounts of ice cream, and still have the right to say what ever we want. Even thouse consuming large amounts of anything is against my personal morals, that doesn't mean it is wrong/right. same goes for wether or not your a liberal or conservative or somewhere in the middle.

Which ever way the election goes, I know one thing is for sure. I'm not going to be changed, convinced, or talked into someone elses opinion. So lets just agree to disagree shall we?
