Tonight me and my family will celebrate Obama's win. Thankfully, it looks like this nation will choose a leader who has shown the ability to use reason and diplomacy. We will choose a leader who will help us overcome racial tensions. We will choose a leader who can mend our international wounds and repair our reputation as a world leader to be respected. We will choose a leader who has shown enough leadership and class to conduct one of the finest campaigns we've ever seen, and will be able to use such leadership skills in office. We will choose a leader who has inspired greater voter turnout than we've ever seen (and inspiration can move mountains). THANK YOU, VOTERS!

There are some great black men out there who could be great presidents.
Unfortunately Barak Hussein is not one of them.
      His failures will be insurmountable!
Charisma will not fix this country.
      Experience and intelligence will.
      Celebrate on my friend!
Failure is coming and hell is coming with it!

      • Posted By: Pia1981 @ 11/04/2008 7:43:16 PM

I doubt you would ever support any black president.

      • Posted By: AskPlus @ 11/04/2008 5:20:43 PM

Every one knows what you are by your second sentence - literally. Keep up the good fear-mongering. Did that same fear actually usher him into office? Stay tuned.

WITH INSURMOUNTABLE LEADS IN ALL THE POLLS, THE QUESTION IS NO LONGER WHO WILL WIN, BUT HOW BIG OF A LANDSLIDE OBAMA WILL WIN BY: 90%? 80%? 70%? HENCE, IT CAN ALREADY BE DECLARED THAT OUR SAVIOR, BARACK OBAMA, HAS WON AND WILL BE THE NEXT PRESIDENT OF OUR NEW OBAMACA NATION.

THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR SUPPORT AND DEDICATION. WE HAVE SUCCESSFULLY SMITED THE UNBELIEVERS AND OPENED THE ONE AND ONLY GATE TO HEAVEN. GOD BLESS US, GOD BLESS US ALL.

THE ONLY THING LEFT IS FOR MCCAIN TO DROP DEAD OR CONCEDE ALREADY. WE HAVE WON FOR THE GOOD OF THE WHOLE WORLD!

I'm just glad this over, nothing is really going to change. If anything, the government will just get bigger and more incompetent. Obama will realize that catering to the "simpletons" of society was a waste of time. I just can't believe the shine job he put on so many people in this country, it was like Hitler in the 1930's. As a business owner, the first thing i do when i get that new tax bill........lay people off!

To solongpaycheck you will no longer get one if Cain is president because you will lose your job. Let's not forget he voted to give companies a tax cut to leave the US. With OBAMA you have a chance to keep your job and the ability to get a raise as the economy will be much stronger with our new president. May u rest in peace as well.

Obviously, only pro-Obama comments are allowed on this board, as all my comments have been either deleted or refused. With BIG GOVERNMENT coming, I hope MSNBC is one of the first targets on our path to Zimbabwe...

    • Posted By: saba @ 11/04/2008 6:52:03 PM

Hey buddy...if the country is pro-Obama...shouldn't the message board reflect the country??? Anyways I appreciate your skill of classifying comments as with or against a certain candidate. High five!

I can't wait to see what this Democratic president is going to do in the Oval Office...do you think he'll defile it like the last pig/Demorat that was in there-the one that taught all of our young American children what oral sex was? That was a treat. You STILL all worship and revere him, paying him to speak and endorse. This continual Demorat ignorance floors me. I just threw up in my mouth.

    • Posted By: Regina_Darling @ 11/04/2008 5:20:42 PM

Oh, and by the way, you can't possibly be so ignorant that you actually believe that kids don't know about the existence of sexual activity until the Monica Lewinski incident. Maybe parents should be parents and teach their children some self-respect and we might not see so many kids tainted by early sexualization.

Come on now, Sunny Al. Do you think that President Clinton was the only president to have a tryst while in the White House? Why don't you check out a history book or two....
I'm not saying that I condone his actions or the actions of any other unfaithful husband, but I think maybe it's the only one you care to focus on because it fits your theory about Democratic Presidents. Just do your homework before you come here and make yourself sound uneducated.

Many people vote a certain way not because of belief, but because they have hardened their hearts - they follow not God but the trend of the day. Also, it is interesting that those who profess to be so intelligent can rely on the media to do most of their thinking. They do so blindly without prayer and without discernment. In this it seems that even the very elect are being deceived.

  • Posted By: jesherka @ 11/04/2008 4:33:22 PM

Why is everyone in the media soooo unbelievably biased? If Obama wins, the USA is screwed.

P.S. I don't believe any person, man or woman should have the right to kill their unborn child.

    • Posted By: triciamac @ 11/04/2008 6:31:28 PM

Women that are raped and end up pregnant are really loving you right now. My kids have a girl in their class that was raped by her stepfather, her Mom doen't believe in abortion, so here is this 14yr old girl, pregnant by her stepfather.........DISGRACFUL...prochoice all the way.

    • Posted By: triciamac @ 11/04/2008 6:27:05 PM

It is unreal how many people think a woman should not get to choose what she gets to do with her own life. What about women that are raped? What about incest(it does exist)? These women should get the CHOICE of what happens to them and their bodies! My middle school kids have a girl in their class that was raped by her step father, Mom doesn't believe in abortion, so here's this 14yr old girl, pregnant by her own stepfather. DISGRACFULL

    • Posted By: AskPlus @ 11/04/2008 5:30:24 PM

Then why are you talking about it? Neither does anyone else.

    • Posted By: Regina_Darling @ 11/04/2008 5:30:23 PM

Then by all means, don't have an abortion.

  • Posted By: rln2522 @ 11/04/2008 4:13:02 PM

I'm not impressed with either candidate. One thing we can all agree on is that "We need change!" Yet those of us that will vote for McCain will never see change. If McCain becomes President, we might as well keep Bush in office for another 4 years, because everything will be the same... and that sucks!!!

    • Posted By: BobB12345 @ 11/04/2008 4:23:38 PM

Obama's strategists were at least smart enough to realize he could never win if he actually ran against John McCain. Why do you think they tried to make McCain = Bush? Apparently you bough it.

      • Posted By: saba @ 11/04/2008 6:27:37 PM

Hey bob??? if McCain=Bush..... Obama vs. McCain=Obama vs. Bush ----> observe the property of substitution!!!!

  • Posted By: bumbleb4eva @ 11/04/2008 5:44:17 PM

My heart goes out to the Barack Obama and his Family for the loss of his Grandmother. I am so proud of you Barack Obama. I hope you not only change our troubled economy, but change the hearts and minds of those who a merely afraid of CHANGE. It is fear that has so many are voting for McCain. Afraid of a Black Family taking a major role in running the govenment. Thats all it is. We have the congress, senate, governors, mayors so many other people that affect your day to day livelihood. Barack Obama cannot change the Constitution nor amend it by HIMSELF. So all of those fearful are afraid of WHAT. You merely dont want anyone BLACK having the highest rank in this country. Its ok to be secretayr of state or the closet advisor to a president but not a president. Barack Obama I LOVE YOU!

    • Posted By: saba @ 11/04/2008 6:22:41 PM

Really? You think they'll be that sad and depressed? Life doesn't change much with McCain...if it's 4 more years the country wants... then four more years of sadness it is!!! Don't forget we lived 8 years through this, and four more won't hurt us, and besides....we won't have to suffer for four more years (if you know what I mean). = )

    • Posted By: AskPlus @ 11/04/2008 5:50:52 PM

We live in a Democracy. Perhaps an intolerant one, but a democracy where each person is entitled to a vote, opinions, and diversity should be valued. Therefore the largest turnout possible serves our country in the best way. I respected McCain's service but could not support him for the presidency. However, if the electorate decide he is the preferred candidate and elect Senator McCain I will offer him the respect deserved for his service, both in the military and as a legislator. However, I hope enough people want to be a caring, peaceful, respected nation again and voted for Senator Obama.

  • Posted By: saba @ 11/04/2008 6:15:35 PM

I believe that people who vote for someone because he or she appreciates the candidate and /or relates to the candidate is right, but one who votes for someone just because of what he/she says is wrong b/c most things that candidates say they'll do--->they won't do them and trust and faith is all a voter needs in order to make a decision b/c tomorrow certain topics that are important today, might be worthless tomorrow. There is no tomorrow yet and voters should vote according to the time and a consistant topic.

I am absolutely disgusted by the tone and spirit of this blog. Look at yourselves. I cannot believe the amount of hatred, fear, and blatant racism I am seeing. This saddens me. Can we not talk about the issues facing this country without attacking people about their personal beliefs? My parents are both staunch Republicans. I am not, but I still have the decency to listen to their views without denigrating them. I have several close friends who do not share my beliefs, but we manage to have meaningful, albeit heated, debates on the issues. I am appalled by the rampant racism, hatred, and fear that has been hastily unleashed here. Where is God in your statements? If you are truly a believer in Christ, should you not behave in his image? Before you come at me, let me tell you I have two University degrees and two wonderful jobs. Everyday I do my job to the best of my ability. I have two cars that are completely paid off, and at the end of the year I pay my taxes. I cannot, however turn a blind eye to those who did not have the benefit of my upbringing by two parents like my mom and dad. I cannot forget that in my city 1 out of every 4 children live below poverty level. I feel I must do something about it. That is one of the many reasons why I voted for Obama today. I read everything I could about both candidates, educated myself about the issues, and I made my choice. Even if he doesn't win or I am wrong I made an informed choice without feeling the need to condemn others for theirs. Please, turn the fervor you have and educate ourselves. Just vote for yourselves and allow others to do the same no matter who they choose to believe in. Differences and the right we all have to exercise these differences are what makes this country a great one.

I would also like to say that you may all want to get your facts straight, before you speak out of anger. For instance, Obama is both a Christian and an American. Secondly, Bill Clinton presided over the largest peace time economic expansion in 35 years and at the end of his presidency he reported a national surplus of $559 billion.

    • Posted By: HBenet @ 11/04/2008 4:59:35 PM

EXCELLENT!! Well said. That helps me tons...yoo hoo off I go for real.!! One more for OBAMA.
God bless America and everyone on this blog!! O

"Denigrating?" Isn't that a racist term since most Obama supporter will have no idea what it means? Discrimination against the ignorant and all. BIGOT!

        • Posted By: Regina_Darling @ 11/04/2008 6:08:08 PM

Thank you for your well stated comment. At least I got a laugh before I went home from work. I now feel compelled to ask if you know what "denigrating" means. At any rate, I hope you went to the polls today, where your opinion actually will mean something.

THERE IS NO NEED TO BE AFRAID OF SENATOR BARACK OBAMA. IF YOU ARE AFRAID I SUGGEST THAT YOU CHECK YOUR MORALS AND YOUR BANK ACCOUNT BECAUSE THAT IS ALL YOU ARE REALLY AFRAID OF. IF YOU HAVE WATCHED THE DEBATES OBAMA HAS A BETTER PLAN FOR THE ENTIRE COUNTRY PERIOD. NO QUESTION ABOUT IT. THOSE WHO HATE HIM ARE INGNORANT, BIGOTS AND RACISTS. I DONT HATE MCCAIN I DILIKE HIS CAMPAIGN AND WHAT HE BELIEVES IN COUNTRY FIRST ----I SAY PEOPLE FIRST. COUNTRY FIRST COSTED 700 BILLION SO THE TYCONS CAN GO ON VACATION ONE DAY LATER. I CANT IMAGINE WITH ALL THAT STRESS JUGGLING BETWEEN 100 MILLION TO RETIRE WITH OR 200 MILLION MUST HAVE BEEN DIFFICULT. I LOVE YOU OBAMA

  • Posted By: CKScoop7 @ 11/04/2008 4:24:38 PM

Religion is the biggest farse that has ever existed. Anyone using religion to base their vote on is very deluded!!

    • Posted By: Kazoo88 @ 11/04/2008 4:41:06 PM

Religion is tied in with morals and values. If one votes for a president because they share the same religion is not reason enough but if the president is voted for because their beliefs and thoughts on certain subjects reflect each other then that would be good.

      • Posted By: Wes916 @ 11/04/2008 6:03:16 PM

Morals and values are tied to PEOPLE, not religion. You choose your morals and values on your own, not by what a Church or Religious affiliation tells you.

  • Posted By: Gazrial @ 11/04/2008 4:28:12 PM

I want Obama to win simply to say to the world that the United States can still be a melting pot where your race doesn't count and that anyone given enough determination can become the president. There is a belief in other countries that there will only ever be a white president of the United States. I like the idea of shattering those beliefs.

    • Posted By: Wes916 @ 11/04/2008 6:00:09 PM

Such stupidity....I've never heard anyone say they will pay for everything. Such a sad, sad, misinformed citizen....or someone that just wants to make stupid comments for the sake of being stupid.

    • Posted By: Kazoo88 @ 11/04/2008 4:38:18 PM

Are you one of those people that go around with a shirt saying "I'm voting for Obama just to prove I'm not racist" ?

    • Posted By: WallyWI @ 11/04/2008 4:33:35 PM

Do you understand that by say what you have just said, you have made this election all about RACE... sad to see you wasted your vote to try and prove a point, instead of voting on someone's platform and ideas and what they can do to improve our country!!!
