Vote for who you think would be the better leader, but understand that there are a LOT of people that will see a black man running and not a politician who happens to be black. That's just the countries history speaking, and it won't go away until the generations raised under that mindset are dead. It is what it is.

Lowie7... get the hell way over yourself. I paid my $25k in taxes last year, and I assure you I worked as hard as you. But as a small business exec, I also recognize that when those "poor people" who also worked their asses off... aren't happy or lack confidence in the economy, they don't spend...and when they don't spend, the economy SUCKS. So I'm all for building a stronger base so our economy has something to run on.

I completly agree 'broomstick'...why are we overlooking all the obvious flaws with this man just because of his race? Race should NOT be a factor in why we choose a president. The beliefs are what's important and his are not okay. On top of that like 'lowieh7' said he is a proven LIAR!

Vote 4 McCain. When will everyone stop making this about race. I am an Afican-American female who has served in the military, completed 2 college degrees and work for everything I have. This election is not about race, it's about turning this country around. People losing their jobs, homes, and sanity is no way for one of the "strongest nations" to be run. Let the rich get richer and step over the unfortunate is not the American way. If Barack Obama had been white, you would think he was the best man for the job. Let try putting this country back together instead of dividing it even further playing the race card. Plus if you know anything about politics, Obama can only do what Congress allows him to. So balck, white, rich, or poor it's the vision we need and not the ignorance.

He is a socialist from the very beginning, that means he will take what he wants from your check, and will pass it to the ones he deams in need of your income. Doesn't matter if they work or not, they will have half of what you worked for. Karl Marx tried this years ago in Russia, it doesn't work.. I realize many of the people voting do not recall or were not even born in the 70's but when you have on party in charge of everything you have trouble. If/when Obama wins be prepared to open up your wallet. The Democrats have a history of adding programs for the less fortunate and or the lazy and I am not saying all the less fortunate are lazy but quite a few are. He talks about "spreading the wealth" what do you think Socailism is? He wants to take money from you that you have earned and give it to someone else who has earned nothing. Why did welfare get revamped...because there were many using it for their entire life...no need to work just pop out another kid so I can stay home. Don't forget Congress and the Senate have been Democratically controlled for almost 4 years...what has been done.....nothing. People talk about the Presidents policies and not just this one any administration....the President may have policies but nothing and I mean nothing can be done unless both the Congress and the Senate agree to it. So who is truly to blame for things, they are. The president is not a supreme ruler he doesn't decide jack the Congress and the Senate do. Apparently they no longer teach Government or Economics in school or people would actually know where the problem lies. The president doesn't add stupid pork barrel/ear marks to bills/laws the Congress and the Senate do. When Obama gets in....hold on to your wallet...oh never mind you won't have a chance to the Democratically controlled house and Senate will rubber stamp any and all of his "programs" and "spreading the wealth" so you will have zero say in it. If you see your neighbor or the guy down the block sitting on his/her behind and you work yours off do you just go down the street and hand him money? Well you might as well as Obamas hand will be in the pockets of anyone who has worked hard to take what you earned and give it to someone that hasn't worked at all.
