Obama should be the next president of the United States. I think his views are strong and morals for the country are what we need right now. Mccain has great views as well, but with Palin running by his side he destroyed his chances of ever becoming the next US President. If she was to take offices her morals are as fake as she is. She has been caught in so many lies you can't belive what comes out of her mouth. Coming from a family that has money, but not to her standards she does not understand the things we need and if Mccain was to ever pass and for her to take over that would be the end of the US and your Voice of Speeh. Vote Obama!!!

Typical treehugging socialist thinking.....McCain Supporter = uneducated redneck. Well, I bet you more than a few dollars you will want some of them around tonight when the underpriviledged (and undermotivated) masses riot because they aren't going to get a piece of someone elses pie after all.

    • Posted By: laidylittlebit @ 11/04/2008 1:18:43 PM

How very true, I predict regardless of who wins ,there will be mayhem in Chicago tonight. Where is OB's birth cert. Why isn't that verified before he gets this far. We all know he would't have nearly the support and votes if it wasn't for all the black's that have never voted going out to vote. Only because is is Black. They never cared before because they know most of the changes don't really affect them anyway. They are still going to get their welfare , free housing , food stamps free health care, and if OB is elected , he changes the health care, if you think you are waiting in long lines now just wait until we are all there with you/. How will he handle a terrorist attack, because you know we will have more. I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't work against us and provide information for the terrorist to attack us. And how will we fight back, he isn't ready to lead this country. He is not qualified to run the United Stated of America,,,,, He is not American, all of you poor uneducated people are going to be so sorry when he doesn't deliver.

Who do you feel you know well enough to grant by your vote the highest security clearance in the world, Obama or McCain? Think about this for just one moment, I can guarantee you that due to his associations alone, Barack Obama would never be granted a security clearance by any intelligence organization in the world. However, by your votes alone, you will be giving this to him freely. Thank you.

I can look at my 19 year old daughter, and be grateful that her generation is our future. The time has come for the generation of leadership that witnessed the prosperity that war brought to our country during World War II, to step aside. We must evolve as a nation, and as a people ... and now assume the mantle of peace and lead our world into a time of PEACE. And lead by example. Thanks to the policies of W, we are weak in the world, no longer respected as a leader. John McCain is not the man for what lies ahead. Mired in delusions that our involvement in the Middle East will bring back the glory days that formed his ideals.

It is time for change, fundamental and real. John McCain is an honorable man, who served our country with distinction and valor. For that, he is to be respected and admired. But it is not enough. He has a lot of company, our veterans are to be held in regard, but that alone does not merit the highest office in the land. And frankly, this country needs someone that can think, not simply act.

This country has suffered enough. It's time to change the guard. The Republicans do not deserve another four years. Period.

If I've read your statement regarding the military and its veterans correctly, you have obviously never served your country. To say that the military population is full of people capable of action without thought, you are mistaken and I would apologize to this country's veterans in your silence. Let's not also forget that the American veteran is someone that at one time wrote a blank check to the United States of America in the amount of "up to and including my life" Also let me say that unless you're willing to shed your own blood to feed the tree of liberty....don't try to tell me how to live under its shade!!

I am a 28 year old Black American and I am voting for Obama not because he is "Mixed" I am from the South born and raised and I am so sick of the "good ol boy system" this is a new time and change has to come. It is 2008 and it is sad that the older generation is hung up on the color of skin. I think that he is the best candidate for the job. I work hard I am a nurse with two kids and I work hard for my money and at some point the backbone of America needs a break. I don't know what world you live in but people should not have to choose between lights and healthcare or food and gas. Wake up! Grow up! America is a melting pot of all different people we no longer have the white pot and the black pot.

Reguardless of whom you support or who wins, we as a nation had better recognize that WE are all in this together. Please people, have some respect for each other and recognize how privileged we are. Democrat or Republican, we are all Americans first and we need to stop using words like "me" and "I" and start focusing on 'we' and 'us'. Stop tossing blame about and take a look in the mirror - what have YOU done to better yourself, your community, your workplace? Stop blaming others for your lot in life and take some responsibilty for yourself and your actions and their impact on your children, family, neighbors, community, and country. We do not demonstrate any gratitude for the privileges and freedoms we take for granted every day of our lives because we are too busy denegrating fellow citizens for their opposing views and worrying that we as individuals may have to personally sacrifice something for the greater good. There are literally millions of people in this world who will not eat today or will watch their child die from lack of medical care, people who will sleep on a dirt floor, have no clean water, education, or electricity. Meanwhile, so many of you will be busy bashing each other (and the candidates) that appreciation for the political process we are privileged to take part in will go unnoted. Going by most of the comments on here it's no wonder the world views us as ignorant, racist, war mongering and self centered - apparently that's exactly how we view each other.......

An educated, non-racist I can sum it up by simply saying... "I am going to keep my freedom, my guns and my money... you can keep the change". Obama is an unethical, disingenious and certainly NOT what we need in the US. Our next President should NOT be hanging out with Domestic Terrorists like Jeremiah Wright, William Ayers and te list goes on and on. Obama and his wife are the true 'racists'... if you don't believe me just read Michelle's Princeton paper where she calls White Americans the "devil". And who can forget Michelle's "Whitie" comments. These people need help... not a seat in the White House. A black president would be wonderful... but as with any candidate (white, black, asian... etc) it needs to be the 'right' candidate. And that candidate is NOT Obama. McCain is not only the best choice- but the ONLY choice Americans have today.

You know what the real focus should be on who can change this huge economic mess and not who is willing to keep it the same or even make it worst. We don't need someone that's going to keep things the same.

In response to the previous post by jr1979, making broad, sweeping statements regarding the "lack" of knowlege of Obama supporters is not only incorrect, but ignorant. Comparing a United States candidate for presidency to Adolf Hitler is ridiculous. I am a young, white female who completely supports Obama, and I know what Change he plans to bring. Saying that supporters of Obama are like "sheep" is not only incorrect, it is completely incorrect. Everyone who supports Obama may not know the exact details of his proposed plans for change, but I can guarantee you that 100% of Obama supporters, including Mr. Obama himself, know the number of homes they own. That is more than you could say for McCain.
"Look at Adolf Hitler. He took power by promising the exact opposite policies that he later enacted. The German people were turned to him like sheep. The rest is history. My previous point is validated by this. Obama's supporters are sheep. When asked what his change is, Obama and the majority of his supporters either dodge the question or have no answer."

hey Wes916, get your head out of your xss! don't you realize the basis of your 'freedom of choice' argument is "what if?" what if they aren't wanted, what if they are abused, what if our gov't is overburdened? are you serious? here's something for you to consider; what if that aborted child was the next einstein, or bill gates, or dare i say martin luther king?

oh, and i thought this was about the election - let me guess, you're voting for obama. oh and let me further guess that the reason you are voting for him is because we need a change (which i agree). but here's something for you to think about, what if the change is for the worse?

  • Posted By: TBodmer71 @ 11/04/2008 1:10:48 PM

Once again, uninformed people having oppinions based on political propaganda. President Bush is not responsible for the economy crashing. The banking/mortgage industry is. The economy goes up and down with time not presidencies! McCain backed bush 95% of the time not 90%. But, how many other republicans and democrats voted the same way? Don't we need at least 50% to get something passed.

As for Obama--------143 days in the senate seat! How is he qualified. The PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES is not the type of position I would want somebody that has to have on the job training.
