The American People better wake up really quickly before its too late! One.... I dont believe this is about race at all, I could care less what color someones skin is, its about the person that we are entrusting OUR COUNTRY with, and the morals and principles it has been established on for decades. OBAMA is not ready to lead our great nation nor is he trustworthy enough to represent WE THE PEOPLE. I have a hugh problem with his moral character if he is already taking the monies from the mega rich and using it on his campaign to get elected, but then he is out there saying he is working for the blue collar folks, and the poor. You cannot punish others because they have worked hard to be successful, and give to those that sit around and waste away while others take care of them. Use some darn common sense people, how can his tax plan work. Do you really think that 5% of the population can cover what he wants to do, and why should they. They pay taxes, its all relative, they just pay more because they make more. Fact is that he is a liar, he runs around with very bad people and has failed to be honest, he doesnt support drilling and using our resources rather than overseas, and he changes his mind more times than I can count. McCain and Palin are the ticket, we need then in them there!!! GO REPUBLICANS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ok....let's get some education before we comment. And a newspaper, show, or commentary is not an education. Every rebuplican in office has attempted to find a reason why Obama should not be president. If there was a reason to make Obama inelligible it would have been found by someone who is educated and not by someone who watches a biased television program then comes on here to comment. And if you think Obama is the anti-christ and kills babies. Let me remind you that McCain supports the war efforts, which has murdered over 30,000 children that were WANTED. Speaking of.....have you seen what McCain is ignoring in Uganda? Hmmm....maybe you should look into that before you comment on abortions.

is it just me, or is this article just about how Obama is going to win? And they say the media isn't bias

  • Posted By: TBodmer71 @ 11/04/2008 1:07:05 PM

Once again, uninformed people having oppinions based on political propaganda. President Bush is not responsible for the economy crashing. The banking/mortgage industry is. The economy goes up and down with time not presidencies! McCain backed bush 95% of the time not 90%. But, how many other republicans and democrats voted the same way? Don't we need at least 50% to get something passed.

As for Obama--------143 days in the senate seat! How is he qualified. The PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES is not the type of position I would want somebody that has to have on the job training.

GO McCAIN!!! GO McCAIN!!! GO McCAIN!!! GO McCAIN!!! GO McCAIN!!! GO McCAIN!!!

During this election year let's be reminded of these words:

~ You cannot help the poor, by destroying the rich.
~ You cannot strengthen the weak, by weakening the strong.
~ You cannot bring about prosperity, by discouraging thrift.
~ You cannot lift the wage earner up, by pulling the wage payer down.
~ You cannot further the brotherhood of man, by inciting class hatred.
~ You cannot build character and courage, by taking away men's initiative and independence.
~ You cannot help men permanently, by doing for them what they could and should, do for themselves.

    Do you recognize the author?
    It was Abraham Lincoln.

Very, very wise words, written years ago and rest assured Barack Obama does NOT get it. You want to live by these wise words, then tomorrow do your part to ensure John McCain is elected President!

    VOTE, John McCain for President...

    ~ Courageous Service
    ~ Experienced Leadership
    ~ Bold Solutions

John McCain learned that to sustain his self-respect for a lifetime it would be necessary for him to have the honor of serving something greater than his self-interest -- service to his country. John McCain has always put his country's interests before any party, special interest and even his own self-interest. He has always and will always do what is right for our country.

The whole Bush administration has lied and caused nothing but heart ache and pain for the last 8yrs. So if you want more of your troops dieing, homes being foreclosed, everyday working people loosing their jobs while the rich get richer and the economy gets worse then vote for McCain and Palin. As for MartinSD's comments, Obama hasn't lied, McCain and Palin has by calling him a terriosts and he's not and last I checked terriosts comes in all different races, i.e. Timothy McVeigh and Terry Nichols, who I might add are both white and were traine din the army.

  • Posted By: Moonlight2008 @ 11/04/2008 11:47:57 AM

my goodness Dr. Girlfriend you sound completely brain washed, just because obama SAYS he wantst o do all those things doesn't mean he CAN. HE doesn't have the experience OR the leadership skills.
McCain knows how to get things done, he's been around a long time, and so does Sarah! She has done GREAT things for the state of Alaska as governor, and she didn't even hesitate when asked to go all the way to the White House!
She's a strong woman who knows EXACTLY what she wants to do, and how to get it done!
McCAIN / PALIN ..... our only hope!!

    • Posted By: Wes916 @ 11/04/2008 11:56:01 AM

I wish she would explain "HOW EXACTLY" to get things done. She is clueless!!!

      • Posted By: Moonlight2008 @ 11/04/2008 12:15:26 PM

        No...she isn't clueless, she just doesn't lie.

        • Posted By: Wes916 @ 11/04/2008 1:05:17 PM

She would need to know what the issues are in order to lie about them....oh wait, she did lie about her abuse of power. I should give her more credit. That's exactly what we need helping run the country..She just has a blank look on her face and talks about pigs and lipstick and hockey moms and Alaska and her view of Russia and has no idea of what magazines she reads....funny stuff.

    TO: sneakerkath (GO McCain)
An outspoken political conservative, Rev. Boetcker is perhaps best remembered for his authorship of a pamphlet entitled The Ten Cannots. Originally published in 1916, it is often misattributed to Abraham Lincoln. The error apparently stems from a leaflet printed in 1942 by a conservative political organization called the Committee for Constitutional Government. The leaflet bore the title "Lincoln on Limitations" and contained some genuine Lincoln quotations on one side and the "Ten Cannots" on the other, with the attributions juxtaposed. The mistake of crediting Lincoln for having been the source of "The Ten Cannots" has been repeated many times since, most notably by Ronald Reagan in a speech he gave at the 1992 Republican convention in Houston.

check your facts before you post a comment.....or vote

It never ceases to amaze me that the color of a persons skin defines their worth in some peoples minds. We are suppose to be a nation of democracy and freedom which in some way everyone has paid for - I gladly voted for Obama as I truly feel he is a honorable individual and after the last eight years, we need someone that looks outside the box for a better life for all walks of people not just the rich or what they would consider a safe color of skin.

    RE: Old fashionedvalues statement

I think your statements are a bit extreme. You remind me of my parents. Racism was everywhere back in the 60's when blacks could not drink from a white fountain. Affirmative action has served a purpose and may still be required to create equal opportunity. However, I am one of those college students that lost a grant to an underachieved minority. I got over it, but I also hope that someday we can end affirmative action because ultimately it is a crutch. Perhaps when we are all a shade of Grey!

    • Posted By: anonymous08 @ 11/04/2008 1:02:55 PM

This is not about racism nor affirmative action, but it is about who stuck with the real problems during their campaign! The economy is terrible and Joe the plummer is not going to help people get insurance. If the candidates stuck more with the issues rather than trying to bash each others reputations than the election wouldn't matter because both candidates if elected would make the same changes.

If you were applying for an executive level, highly difficult job and it was between you and one other man then lost the opportunity to someone who was "very motivational and enthusisatic" wouldnt you be angry? Wouldnt you question the competency of the company for hiring that man? That is why many have chosen McCain. The racial issue comes up when 99.9% of blacks vote for Obama... without analysing his political policies! They are voting for him for race not ability.

    • Posted By: Marine2005 @ 11/04/2008 1:02:24 PM

I completely agree, this presidential election is based upon Race, not political views.

  • Posted By: ruckus @ 11/04/2008 1:02:03 PM

How can anyone say McCain is what this country needs. I'd like to remind you all that he voted for Busg over 90% of the time. My goodness they even have the same deceitful laugh. When Clinton left office we had a $237 Billion surplus. Now, thanks to Bush and help from McCain, we have a deficit of over $10 Trillion. Do the math people. The GOP has driven this country into the ground in regards to our economy and our foreign relations.

  • Posted By: GUSSIE @ 11/04/2008 1:01:43 PM

GO OBAMA!!!!!!!!!!!! HE IS DEFINITELY GOING TO WIN THIS ELECTION!
