He was bashed when his Baptist minister of many years said some very bad things in church and was hounded until he renounced his pastor (pretty sure that if your's a Muslim they are called imams, not pastors).     seriously have you watched the mccain/palin campaign? both a them think they are putting on a comedy show. all they do is bash obama, put him down and not talk about the issues at hand, and how they are going to fixed them.obama has not lied about anything. at least he make it clear about the changes that he is willing to make in washington.

    Sadly, I think that many of the Obama supporters are only voting for him because he is the opposite party that holds office now in troubled times.
    Forget about the DFL/GOP lines and look at the issues.

    1) McCain and Bush are nothing alike. They don't even like each other. Do a google search for "McCain Bush fight" and read about it. They have totally different agendas. Voting for McCain is still a vote for change.

    2) Obama seems like a nice man and the people obviously like him. But as a motivated human being that wants to work hard and be successful, I don't like his ideas about spreading around the wealth. If I want to donate my money to less fortunate poeple, that is my choice. But to raise taxes for those of us that make more and share it with people that make less...This only sounds appealing to the people who don't want to work hard and get ahead based on your own merits. Are you a hard worker that wants to pay higher taxes to support others? Are you a lower wage earner that thinks the wealthier people should help to support you? If so, I believe Obama will make you happy.

    3) If people are only voting for the DFL candidate because of the sad current state of our economy...consider this: The DFL party played a large part in the housing problem. Watch this C-SPAN video showing how many democrats said there was "no problem" and fought against the republicans that wanted to fix the problem before it got worse. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_MGT_cSi7Rs

    So if you still want to vote for Obama after this, then great. Thankfully, it is a free country and you should vote for who you like. I believe he has enough supporters that he will likely be our next president. But just so you know that voting in a democrat is not going to fix things. Party lines are stupid. Don't vote by party, vote by specifics of what a candidate has done and says they will do.

      I believe that most of us are doing just that; voting for the candidate that best matches our beliefs...not just voting for the party. I hope that McCain supports can somehow understand that....
