From what I know, lying is part of politics. At least Obama answered the important once. Unlike McCain he doesn't answer clearly.

Nikki, wake up. Obama lied; McCain lied. Twisting the truth maliciously creates falsehood. Falsehoods are lies. "Not entirely the truth" is a lie. A lie by ommission is a lie. Neither campaign is above it. You can't listen to the radio, read an article, or watch tv without know that.

Katyblue, who are the demonstrators sceaming hatred and vitriol at political rallies? They are the left wing of the Democrat party. Republcans tend to be a bit more civil and thoughtful. Key word is thoughtful. I am a republican. Take my word for it, the only cheating in this election is from the ACORN types who are bought and paid for by the Democrat party. Do something new in your life - read a newspaper. The truth will never reign if you embrace ignorance.

I have no problem with Palin's lack of experience. This country was founded by a bunch of rookies who were part timers and had no clue hat they were doing. I just think she is stupid. I have already had 1 retard in the White House who wants another.

Obama is definately not the way to show the rest of the world that we are a great nation! Obama's policies towards corporate taxes and tax cuts do not make sence. Do you actually believe that by raising corporate taxes and taxes on incomes over $250,000 that the Middle Class will benefit? The bottom lines for those select few will not change. Yes they may pay more taxes, if they don't find loop holes, but they will off-set that increase buy cutting jobs and raising prices. This country was built on the foundation that hard work would propel one further. While I understand that we are not all on the same playing field, one must remember that if you take chances and make the right decissions, you can go as far as you want. Look at the founders of Google, Facebook and Ebay, to name a few. Larger government is not going to solve anything and while McCain may not be the best, at least he is not promising to increase the size of government and increase spending.

Where will the money come from to fund new programs? The top 1% of Americans, if you believe that you are living in fantasy land. Dr. Girlfriend stated that McCain is a bitter old man, well Obama is a middle aged attorney, who lives in a million dollar home and is married to another attorney. He is going to lead us out of this mess, no way! We think the leadership under Bush was bad, this will be much worse, the only difference will be that this time around, the Middle Class could be wiped out!

    In regards to MartinSD's comment:

Lies? Have you watched any of McCain's campaign? Apparently not. Obama has not lied, maybe you should get your facts straight!!

He did go over and see the troops... twice and he vistited them privately in the hospital in Germany. The GOP needs to decide if you are going after him for haveing a crazy preacher or if he is Muslim. You can't go after him for both.

There is no reason in the wold why we need to be in IRAQ. We need to take care of things at home.

The only difference between McCain and Obama's plan is that Obama does not give ass much of a break to people who earn over 250K. Something you do not need to worry about.

    • Posted By: usmcboomman @ 11/04/2008 8:08:35 AM

Correction, he cancelled his visit to see the troops at the hospital because of a conflict in his schedule. Instead, he spoke in front of 20000 germans bashing the character of the US around the world.

      • Posted By: YourKiddingright @ 11/04/2008 11:42:41 AM

Why wouldn't the Germans bash the U.S., the last eight years has been a fiasco. The current administration has destroyed our standing in the world, with poor decisions being made over and over. Do we really want more of that? Personally, I don't think either candidate is ready to take over this mess. Bush has cut every (hand out) welfare to work, childcare subsidies and after school programs that were funded by the feds to help minorities excel (I saw a neighborhood boy get into Harvard because of these programs). Is that a shame, or what? Get real people. This country used to be the greats nation in the world, now in just 6 short years, we are the most hated! Vote for the person who you think is going to fix this mess that Bush/Cheney have created. They don't care because their pockets are full of Haliburton money

In case you haven't noticed our country is more devided today than in the sixtys. I am a moderate Republican that will vote for Obama. The fanatical Christain right has hyjacked the GOP under the Bush administration. In my oppinion it is time to resurrect the Bull Moose Party of Theodor Rosevelt with Chuck Hagel of Nebraska as the head of the party, and Collen Powell as his VP. These are men with Military historys and who could represent the moderates of both parties. "United we Stand devided we fall" It's time to reunite. Do not let the American Taliban (Christion Right) get more control than it already has or we will all end up under a Fascist government called the Republican Party. As a former Marine I have a real problem with Bush using the National Guard as a security force for Halliburton in Iraq. I have no problem with putting more boots on the ground in Afganistan and getting Binladin which was our primary goal in the first place. God Bless us all.

You can always tell when someone is fresh out of ideas. The brain stops working and the racism and other stupidity comes out. It's kind of like getting to the bottom of a cesspool. Like Obama says, if you don't have any ideas, just attack the other person. We already know this country is not composed of geniuses. That was apparent when Nixon, Reagan, and Bush all got elected twice. It's funny how many people can't wait to demonstrate that stupidity by what they write here.

    • Posted By: setthepace @ 11/04/2008 11:38:02 AM

Wow, It's amazing how you are one of the very few smart ones in here.
After all someone who thinks anyone with a difference of opinion is mindless and stupid must be onto something.
Shouldn't you be using that great gift of intelligence of yours to maybe run for office yourself since you seem to know it all.

Howler45.. it should remain a choice regardless of the situation. for those that believe in "the Freedom of all that are living, and that includes the unborn child" make the CHOICE to choose life. but for those that don't subscribe to your belief system, they should be allowed to make another CHOICE. sure babies shouldn't suffer, i don't think any that are pro-choice are pro-abortion... but what about education? why not teach the consequences of having sex, the consequences of being irresponsable...why should those that are being irresponsable be forced to have a child they do not want, or can't provide for...why should those of us pay for thier welfare? its an economic choice as well as a moral one. but a CHOICE it should remain.

"Senator Obama is by far the better choice, for a long list of reasons that include his intellect, temperment, and background."

So, are you saying that McCain is stupid? Does Barry have a more distinguished background in politics? How long has Bama been in office? Last I checked, he was a JUNIOR senator from Illinois! I hate to break your bubble, but Sarah Palin has MORE experience in public office than Obama...

Ironically, Barry's running mate Biden even remarked that Obama wasn't the most qualified Democrat in the primaries. Yet I saw that stupid email circulating about how Barry is so much more qualifed just because he has a law degree. So what? It's only an extra year or two more than a bachelor's degree. How many of you out there really like lawyers? I find it ironic that this guy will supposedly save the poor and destitute despite the fact that he is a RICH FAT CAT. Barry is no different than the other Beltway elite, living in his million dollar mansion while collecting a paycheck that propels him near the top tax bracket. Obama and his wife earn more than over 98% of all Americans, yet the old baby boomers have faith that he is their Robin Hood!

BTW: I know a lot of incompetent attorneys! Passing the Bar doesn't mean that you are fit for public office...

Let's not forget all of the labor organizations that supported Reagan, not just once but twice. Look at how he took care of them. Joe the Plumber is getting duped in the limelight.

What a day this is. A day when our country can finally fulfill it's promise. The promise of every man, women and child being equal in the eyes of all around the world. A day when the rights that so many have fought for and died for can come to the fore. God Bless Barack Obama, and God Bless American. Here's to hope, and unity. Yes We Can!!!!

McCain spent five year of his life in a POW camp. Give one hour of your time and go vote for him, he's a good man and we know who he is. Go do the right thing!

    • Posted By: Objectivisor @ 11/04/2008 11:32:56 AM

Yes, one thing we know about McCain is that he caved in to his interrogators (by his own admission).
