Alaska Personal Board report out today finds no violation by Governor Palin.

When McCain selected Palin, it was a hothead picking an airhead.

Which is precisely why they're going home angry and befuddled, respectively, tomorrow.

The Vigil, Thank Heavens we can save this Nation from Socialism yet. Vote just like the Democrats, if your dead come back and vote and remember to vote early and vote often, Vote McCain / Pal8in 08

How do you handle the fact that Palin ran a socialist formula in Alaska? She distributed the State's wealth from pipelines to each resident. That is socialism.

Amen to that viking1055. I don't understand why openly embracing religion has gotten such a bad rap. Can you imagine the hubbub if a teacher had his class make dradles and taught the kids how to play. Are we so god-phobic that we are afraid to expose kids to religion? And if a youth director was teaching the kids the similarlities between God and Allah... he'd be lynched. I'm with you viking1055... this is america and we should not be made to feel ashamed or have our spiritual lives watered down because people are too afraid to offend. I glad you have the courage to push for religious freedom. And don't even bother with "that's not what I meant"... we already know. Vote yes on Obama and no on prop8!!

    • Posted By: kshortSD @ 11/03/2008 5:19:33 PM

Can't we keep religion at home, please? It's a sensitive subject for many people, and we are allowed the freedom in this country to follow any religion we choose. How then would you condone teaching one or two religions in school? Bad idea! It should be left OUT of public schools and OUT of our laws.
So, you're right about voting No on 8! :)

      • Posted By: nycdoug @ 11/03/2008 5:32:29 PM

that's exactly my point... conservatives like viking1055 say that it is wrong to sensor religion.. but they really mean it is wrong to sensor christianity. If faced with the prospect of allowing other religions (judaism, budhism, or dare I say Islam, or any other of the hundreds (thousands?) of established religions around the world) taught in school, they will quickly change their tune. I'm just saying it should be all or nothing (I think nothing will get us into less trouble).

    • Posted By: C. MacLean @ 11/03/2008 6:01:43 PM

Openly embracing religion is what churches, mosques, ashrams and synagogues are for. Ditto the dinner table. Embracing religion shouldn't take place in the public schools, or in front of the town hall.

Where I come from, there are three things you don't discuss in school, the workplace, or bars: religion, politics, and your mother-in-law.

And if people wish to discuss the similarities - or the differences - between God, Allah, Jehovah, Great Spirit, or Vishnu, they can take a Comparative Religion class in college.

Public school is for education, not relgion. Or at least, it's supposed to be.

The inane comments from "viking1055" and "luckylarry" clearly demonstrate why the Republican Party and conservative movement are going down the toilet. The only thing the party represents anymore is angry, bigoted, lunatics like these two. Go pull your KKK robes on boys and head over the local still with the other inbred, toothless, high school dropouts and do what you do best - hate your country. By the way - why don't you two leave the country - we can do with a couple less idiots showing up on the next edition of COPS.

I firmly believe when most people are in the voting booth, alone and away from others, it will at that time all the details of Obama will cross their mind (Ayers, Wright, Chicago, Freddie Mac, Fannie Mae, etc). Then they will push the button for John McCain, knowing in their heart, it is truly the only choice.

If you do not have a job and you need the government to take care of you, then vote for Obama. However, if you have a job and want to keep it, and you do not want the government to take care of you, then vote for John McCain.

Vote "yes" on Prop 8 so that marriage remains the way it always has been and always should be............between one MAN and one WOMAN!!! Even the Bible says so, but then again, what do Californians know about the Bible anyway? Besides Massachusettes, 48 out of 48 states in this great country still see it the RIGHT way! God made men and women different for a reason, and he also made natural reproduction possible ONLY between a man and woman, NOT between two freakin' gays!!! If everyone were gay, the human race would cease to exist within 100 years or so!!! The stinking liberal far-left vocals have been the RUINATION of this country!!! It happens with every single situation that comes along where they have a chance to spew their liberal crap! Enough is enough.......allowing gays to marry, taking "God" off of our country's money, replacing "Christmas" with "holiday", not allowing our kids to say the Pledge of Allegiance in school because it mentions the word "God", or even allowing them to sing Christmas carols in school because it might be offensive to somebody, etc. etc. etc. Besides shipping all of these liberals off to another planet on space shuttles (which we obviously cannot do, even though it would be so nice), we can still keep our country whole and great, the Superpower that it has always been, by voting for JOHN MCCAIN tomorrow!!! Go McCain/Palin!!!!!!!

What has caused you to be so filled with hatred? Just exactly how does it effect you when two gays live with each othr? You are free to follow your own moral values ( no matter how divisive and hateful); leave other's values to themselves unless they directly harm you/

The audacity of this publication. They should change their name to The Obama Rag. Bad enough they highlight Barrack Hussein Obama at every opportunity, but bury the unsavory stuff. And when it comes to John McCain they only write and spin any thing questionable and absolutely avoid the positive. Just read this article, they refer to their publication and Obama as "we". How pathetic!

  • Posted By: Omnius @ 11/03/2008 2:40:21 PM

Excellent article Nate! I look forward to watching the votes get tallied here in California where it will be three hours earlier and I will be able to watch all the eastern and middle states get tallied up early in the evening. I am looking forward to CA being the state that tips Obama over the winners line but will be very happy if some other state gets that privilege beforehand. I hope it ends early so the Prop "Hate" voters don't bother to vote.

It's really sad that Prop "Hate" here in CA gets so much mention when it's much ado about nothing. I really hope that our Prop 1A gets passed, the high speed rail system bond issue that would finally bring high speed rail to our country. It's about time our country stops lagging behind so many countries that already have high speed rail service!

    Go Obama/Biden 08/12!

    • Posted By: TheVigil @ 11/03/2008 5:22:29 PM

Yeah, I had a friend change my mind on Prop. 1A, mostly because California is capable of a remarkably self-sufficient economy if things in the larger world get worse. If Federal assistance becomes unreliable (think Katrina) or something goes to a larger hell I would love to see us have a really interconnected state that can respond to emergencies within our borders with rapidity and competence. The rail line looks like a pretty good artery for us.

        No on Prop 1A.

You, Sir(Ma'am), are the kind of Republican I respect and am proud to call my fellow countryman. I think of myself as an Independent, but I lean Democrat on most issues, and strongly support Mr. Obama. We can disagree on fiscal, foreign, most any kind of policy, but I will never lose respect for someone who desires unbiased truth and facts that can be verified, and makes their decisions accordingly. Best of luck from the deep South

Thanks for organizing this so well and as a life long Democrat, welcome to the sunshine. Let's hope that we do not have to live with years of hearing the same smears that you have offered to shed light on spilled out around the country. Exhausting to explain the same thing over and over and over again to people who will not listen.

      • Posted By: 40YearR @ 11/03/2008 3:28:42 PM

Thank you CHERIEIMH. I've never been a blogger...it's tedious. I was first offended, then outraged, by the smear emails. This grew as I learned the truth. That caused me to read Obama's books. One cannot read them without recognizing his exceptional intellect and, more importantly, how inspiring he is in expressing how his life experiences led him to become trully post-racial.

Then I encountered this goofball "nowformoresomethingotherthanthetruth" continuing to spead the propaganda michine campaign of hate, smears, innuendo, misdirection. This has motivated me to oppose his efforts.

Would that I can do more, but at least we are exposing him and his venal efforts.

Obama???s plan for jobs on Pennsylvania, Virginia , West Virginia , Kentucky, Tennessee, and other states, and Obama???s plan for dealing with the high cost of energy, including electricity generation.

An audiotape of an interview Barack Obama did in January 2008 with The San Francisco Chronicle has surfaced in the final days of the presidential campaign. On the tape Obama tells the interviewer, ???so if somebody wants to build a coal-powered plant, they can ??? It???s just that it will bankrupt them because they're going to be charged a huge sum for all that greenhouse gas that's being emitted."

Now, why would Obama say that in San Francisco and not Pennsylvania?

And why did Newsweek take their story on the Pennsylvania campaign down yesterday after this story broke?

    • Posted By: wcmartin @ 11/03/2008 6:47:29 PM

Thus the bottom line of Obama's economic plan. Even if he cuts taxes on the middle class (which he won't), the middle class will get blasted having to pay for the cost of Obama's carbon tax, his windfall profits tax, his higher corporate taxes and his increased capital gains taxes. Obama supporters seem to miss the fundamentals of our economy and how these taxes will flow to the poor and middle class via higher consumer prices.

  • Posted By: DUMPLIN @ 11/03/2008 6:15:20 PM

I HONESTLY HEARD AN EARLY MORNING NETWORK SHOW REPORTERETTE SAY JUST THAT IN REFERENCE TO OBAMA, VOTE EARLY AND VOTE OFTEN. HER COHOST CLEARED HIS THROAT AND WAS UNABLE TO COME UP WITH SOMETHING TO SAY BECAUSE THERE WAS NO MISUNDERSTANDING IN WHAT SHE SAID.

    • Posted By: wcmartin @ 11/03/2008 6:45:22 PM

Vote early and vote often is a slogan of Chicago politics. They also are big supporters of the dead voting.

  • Posted By: plpqwe @ 11/03/2008 6:23:20 PM

Is every republican as stupid as they sound? If you vote with your brain, it's Obama. If you vote from fear it's McSame.

    • Posted By: wcmartin @ 11/03/2008 6:44:24 PM

Voting against a tax and spend program proven to drive our economy into the ground is hardly fear...its reality. Republicans have to look no further than Bush Senior, who bought off on the Democratic Congress' 10% surtax on the rich. It sent the economy into the toilet and was largely responsible for Clinton getting elected.

They figure McCain voters will get discouraged and not vote. Thsi race is allot closer than people are being told by the media. So get out there and vote for John McCain and save this Nation from Socialism, Higher Taxes and Higher Electric Bills.
