This has been the most emotional election I've been a part of ever. The hatred spewed in these blogs is appalling. I find myself deeply saddened and angered by the divisiveness we will now undoubtedly have to address when this election is finally over.

Serving in a war is NOT the same as being qualiied as a stratagist.

I hope your god will bless others as well as our nations, Christians, Jews, Muslims, Hindus, Atheists, and those sitting on the fence. I don't like to think Mr. Obama represents a Christian nation, except that he wants to represent the people in the US. If Mr. Obama is to make a difference and change, we must start looking at everyone as ourselves. No more talk of one sect being better than this or that. It truly has to come from our heart and our hope and belief in humanity.

The world does look at us in the US. Let's stop segregating and attacking.

I hope this country can look past the media and gossip and see that John McCain is the right choice. He has the military experience we all need in this time of was. I believe that in order to hold the Commander and Chief of this country a man should have a military background and be willing to fight for what is right.. Just because McCain is a Rep does not mean he has the same beliefs as George Bush and will be like him. Please think with your rights freedoms and the constitution in mind, not your wallet. Your money will do you no good if the financial crisis is not solved and the war is ended in a orderly manner

I read this oneon another blog and I know its old but heck so what:
Question: "whats the difference between Palin and Bush""...Answer" "LIPSTICK!!"
Question: "Whats the difference between McCain and Bush?.. Ans: (Gotcha).......".Nothing!!"

One nation under God has nothing to do with anything outside of personal belief. John Adams, Thomas Jefferson and several other founding fathers very specifically stated that the United
States was not founded on Christianity or any other religion. TC1957, you are the one who is ignorant, and it is people like you who would rather stand on a false prophet that help create a unified nation.

    • Posted By: Kazoo88 @ 11/04/2008 4:52:48 PM

You're right. The government wasn't founded on Christianity. But you do have to admit, religion was a key factor as to why this nation was founded. Many immigrants came to America to escape religious persecution and that is why there is not one religion for everybody. The whole idea of "One Nation Under God" is meant for everybody to interpret themselves. If your God is your car and that is what you serve then you have every right to worship it as you wish. We are one nation with the freedom to worship who/what we want.

Lying is part of politics ... so tomorrow all the lies will be covered by the press and will go away! Opp's some people believe this stuff and we have to live with them going on with convictions that make America seem childish in the real world. Help those who believe the lies and give them a hand. Today is election day tomorrow is the day all the lies must go away.

    Polls?!!
Is it not true that 40% of republicans asked to take these polls declined?
    Only 25% of democrats declined?
Most republicans didn't have time. Working and all that nonsense didn't give them time.
    Much like the Bush/Kerry election.
    We'll wait and see.

How is it the state of Illinois has failed to send ballots to military serving in Iraq? It our military personnel are good enough to die for your freedom and mine, why can't they vote? How can an election be over until everyone has had the opportunity to vote, or better asked, why is this class of people denied the right to vote?

Does anyone have anything important to say? What we need to be talking about right now is how are we, as a country, going to get back on track. Someone will win, and someone will lose. We have to move forward either way! Our country needs to find a way to bring jobs to America and keep there here. Help families keep their homes, and those of us that don't hold that dream yet allow us to have it. Helps our economy pick up enough to allow families to be able to send all of there children to college, not just the chosen one! Allow our elderly to actual retire when their time has come! Make health care affordable for EVERYONE. Stop this war and bring our fathers, brothers, sons, mothers and sisters and daughters home. Stop killing innocent men women and children, and try to imagine a war in our own backyard! Stop giving more to the rich 5% who don't need it and help out the 95% of us that can use the tax breaks. Yes, spread the wealth! If you have it give it. Our country is a cut throat, it's all about me society. What can I do to make a dollar to get ahead of the person next door, instead of give the dollar to help them out. We have bigger houses(1 bathroom for every person), gas guzzling monster trucks that are killing are environment. We all, or most of us, live beyond our means. We spend like there no tomorrow, and wonder why our economy is suffering. No matter who is elected today it's we the people who need to make the biggest change! We need to stop being so materialistic. We have a family of 6 and our home is a little over 1600sqft. w/ 1.5 bathrooms and 4 bdrms. We have one minivan, a Toyota. When we go out we always pack our own lunch, and never spend more than we need. We live a strict budget. We teach our kids daily about the value of money, and how difficult it was for their dad to earn that money and how it will not be spent on useless things. These are things that need to start at home, not in the white house! If we only cared this much about what was going on in our own house, as we do the white house we would be a much stronger country, guaranteed!

More and more disturbing stuff on Obama's past and his real intentions are just starting to surface.

As I predicted over a year ago .... Obama is a big fraud and America is being duped !!

    • Posted By: sickofredbs @ 11/03/2008 4:26:49 PM

Unless you are ConcernedExCanadian, your concerns are meaningless to the American voters and therefore moot.

That's a bit harsh... The global economy is out of whack. Don't you think that the Canandian's have a comcern? LIghtnen up.

It's amazing to see the amount of ignorance there is in this world and in politics. It's unfortunate that people have made politics such a dirty topic to speak about. I believe that everyone is entitiled to their opinion, and there should be no need to call each other names to get your point across. As for me, I voted McCain. I always believed that this nation was founded on the grounds of being conservative and you should remain that way. I admire McCain and for all the hardships that he went through for this country. As for Obama, I sometimes question his real 'patriotism" towards this country. As a child you are taught to put your hand by your heart during the pledge of allegiance and shockingly Obama wouldn't put his. Go McCain!

    • Posted By: coloradoguy @ 11/04/2008 4:42:33 PM

This country was not founded by conservative, the founding fathers were radical anti-establishment visionaries who railed against the conservative establishment.....and yes they didn't create religious state either but one founded on open understanding and principles based on God ( didn't specify Jesus either )

  • Posted By: TalkSoup @ 11/04/2008 4:42:26 PM

McCain proved he can't be truested with hiw lies and fear mongering about Obama.

May Obama have mercy on our paychecks and 401k's
May the 47 million of us who dont pay taxes enjoy my money as the Great Messiah Obama taketh from me and my family to give to the many baby mommas with mad drama, the fine adults working at every fast food joint in every state, and every illegal that foods in from any direction not just from south of the border.
But most of all, welcome back 1970's economy. I knew I saved my polyester digs for a good reason.

When I woke up this morning, I was super-excited that today is the day that Americans get to exercise their right to choose their leaders. Reading all these negative comments has ruined my mood entirely. Everyone wants freedom, safety, and prosperity in America. We just disagree about how to make that happen.

I feel bad for you thisieve, at some point in your life a "church" person must have really hurt of offended you., and for that I am sorry. But i am not just a "church" person, i am a God fearing pro lifer. And I don't know what you mean by the statement that "we" don't even know, the sad part is we as "God fearing Christians" shouldknow, i know that God is in control no matter who wins, I put my trust in NO man, green or purple or black or white. My trust is in a Holy and righteous God, and that his promise is that ALL who trust in Him will ever be dismayed. I hope you find the truth one day, and learn to trust again.
