    McCain built a lot of his campaign on lies about Obama. He tried to use fear mongering and claims of Obama being a terrorist. For this reason alone, I know I can't trust him.

    Obama has this one. We have needed a President with his Passion forever. Its not about Black or White, but unfortunately I have to live amongst idiots who still have no clue what the politics are and will vote the other way because of color. If you look at the stats..you will see that its time for the democrats to come back and fix all the republican mess. Its the cycle. Republicas=Break....Democrats=REPAIR

    To say that McCain is a warmonger is ludicrous. Those of you calling him a warmonger have probably never personally experienced war. I can trust that because McCain has experienced the horrendousness of war he would not take sending our troops anywhere lightly.

    As far as the hatred being spouted here - it's on both sides of the isle and it is just plain sad. No wonder our country is in such a mess...

    Thank you peachybaby1960 for stating the truthful facts so well. Why are many of the people of this country ( or are they?) so willing to give up the values that make this country the country of freedom and of virtue. We need to remember what we are fighting for. The right to live free and prosper in community not a socialist commune type of place. I really wish Obama were willing to truthfully address the value issues we hold near and dear.

      What are you people talking about?? McCain represents the party that tries to push ONE religion on everyone else, and tries to disenfranchise minority voters. This country was founded on the idea of separation of church and state, freedom to follow any religion, and the idea that our nation would welcome immigrants (melting pot, anyone?). So if anything, Obama represents the party of religious freedom, tolerance, acceptance, and unity. So shut up already.

    I wan to say that realistically it doesn't matter who anyone chooses to vote for there will only be one winner. Beyond that about 99% of all the comments on here show just how bad Americans look to other countries. It doesn't matter what color, race, religion, shape, size, etc., or at least it shouldn't matter. We are the country that is supposed to be the melting pot of the world and yet the large majority of Americans go out of their way to make themselves feel superior to everyone else. To quote a friend of mine, "It is not religion, color, race, etc... that are ugly, it is the people that make them ugly." We as people make all of these things ugly by doing everything in our power to make ourselves superior to one thing or another. What we all need to do is learn and grow up, and STOP REGRESSING! I voted for Obama myself and I am Happy for whatever anyone else has seen fit to vote for whether it is McCain, Independent, Non-Partisan, etc. To each their own and what makes them happy. Good Luck to all Politicians that are running today. Especially good luck to Obama, my condolences on the loss of your grandmother.

    Careful Denise0077, your ignorance is showing. After all the factual information that is out there, do you really still believe that Barack is muslim?! As for you bigboyd, what do you think we do with our current system of taxation? Every developed economy imposes taxes in order to facilitate the needs of their citizens. Some of that is social (Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security, schools, etc) while others are infrastrucure or security (roads, police, fire, military, airports, etc). Those with more income and/or assets pay a larger share than those with less. It has always been this way and will likely continue in this manner into the forseeable future. Obama made a mistake when he phrased it the way he did, but what he was really referring to was ammending our system of taxation away from the failed Bush policies and back to where they were before 2000.
    I don't think I will be able to educate those that want to live off of political soundbites, but you may want to actually investigate some of these issues on your own so you don't continue to spew your ignorance.

    Let's keep outsourcing to other countries which turns towns to ghost towns, families are on the street and the sell off of US properties to foreign countries. Government contracts will stop for our military support for the security of our country. Please I am begging. Do not vote for Obama!

    So how soon after Obama gets in office will I have to wait to get my morgage paid off? He has told the americian people that the goverment will be paying for everything. Also how will he be paying for my gas and my groceries? Will all these things just be free to us? It will be nice to have my house paid in full by Feburary 2009?

      It's sad to see how many ignorant people there are out there that hear something, let their fears and prejudices latch on and won't let go (let alone check the information for accuracy). I am saddened by the amount of fear there is out there over the color of Obama's skin (even to the point of HOW MUCH Black blood he has)! He is an intelligent family man, not a Muslim but a Christian, of mixed race, who believes the Country and World need to change to be kinder to one another.     I do not want religion as my government. I do not wish to dictate people's sex lives whether I find it distasteful or not. I do not want the Constitution, that many men and women have died protecting, changed to deny rights to anyone on the grounds of personal religious views.

    Conduct yourselves as you see fit, teach your creationalism in Sunday School, and don't ever have an abortion. The line has been blurred between the church and state, to the direct detriment of our country. We have freedom of religion here, as well as freedom FROM religion. Too bad you've been pandered to for your votes for the last 12 years. And what's changed really? Unmitigated greed has been allowed to run riot, and we're all left with the bill ... and you all are crying about family values.

      read the constitution sometime please, it says freedom OF religion.... that is completely different than freedom FROM religion and that my friend you DO NOT GET in this country. take a look at the money in your pocket for instance.... and the fact that the President is supposed to, normally, be sworn into office on, what was that? THE BIBLE!!!!! We, as humans arent here to judge.... so you can choose to do whatever you would like to do.... but leave the rest of us alone thank you and go spew your anti whatever somewhere else.     Republicans, you have ran an ad on TV stating: would you let a first time surgen operate on you, fly with a pilot that has neven flown before, let someone watch your children that has never taken care of children. That is the dumbest thing I have ever heard. How do you think people become surgens, pilots, child care workers. Everone has to start with a first. The best surgens in the world had a first surgery, a pilot had to do his first flight, etc. So we need someone who can lead this country without being a follower, we need a leader and OBAMA is the one to do just that.     I am a 38 year old white female and I a voting for McCain not because his is white but because he is the best man to lead our country. Obama is a muslim that doesn't believe in our BIBLE and it's teachings. He went to a chruch that teaches HATE not love for man kind. He will not put his hand over his heart for OUR flag. He believes that killing babies is ok....... Obama will never be my president!!!!!!!!

      I am a 20 year old white woman. Obama is not a Muslim, he was raised in and has attended a Christian church his whole life. Religion shouldn't be as big of a factor in whether someone is running for government office anyway...remember Separation of Church and State? As far as being a baby killer...that's ridiculous! Pro-choice people aren't pro-abortion, we advocate for the rights of women to decide what's right for their own bodies and lives. Statistically the number of abortions performed is lower when abortions are legal that when they are illegal.

      Are you serious?! I have been called a racist by Obama supporters because I am not voting for him; I am Puerto Rican. Hello!

      My neighbor had to replace his McCain/Palin sign 3 times because it was vandalized, right in his front yard. I have not heard of that happening to any Obama/Biden signs. I have had quite a few black people proudly state that they are voting for Obama because he is black and it is about time they have the chance to get a black man in the white house. He is half white.

      Obama is in his first term as Senator. Do you really think he is ready to run this country? We are in trouble financially; he wants to raise payroll taxes. Do you people realize that unemployment is at an alarmingly high percent?! Yeah, let???s make it harder for businesses to keep workers employed. GREAT PLAN!!

      We are in the middle of a war and he wants to make nice. I am afraid that this country will become a sitting duck if Obama gets elected.
