I am listening to election news. I think both Obama & McClain are good men. What amazes me is that the news said that "Obama will be fighting racism" in Pennsylvania. I wonder what would happen if they said that McCain may be fighting racism in Georgia. I think what we did learn from this election is #1 Obama needed whites to get the vote and obviously did. #2 Blacks are just as racist as they accuse their white counterparts of being as evidenced by the % of new first time black voters. Maybe racism is flipflopping or maybe it has been used as an excuse for the last few years. Let's drop the white and black issue once & for all.

VOTE for a man with a clear vision for America - OBAMA.
VOTE for a man with integrity, who does not cheat on his wife - OBAMA.
VOTE for a man who does not abuse others in private or in public - OBAMA.
VOTE for a man who does not cheat on his country with a criminal like Bill Keating - OBAMA.
VOTE for a very intelligent man who graduated top of his class, not one who barely made it 5th from the bottom of his class - OBAMA.
VOTE for a man who recognizes that for us to be strong, does not mean that we have to go to war and beat up on weaker countries, but that we must talk to them, reason with them, respect their rights, then negotiate and compromise with them - OBAMA.

OBAMA IS THE MAN FOR THE JOB AND AMERICA WILL SAY SO TODAY

Why don't you try asking the rest of the world if they think this GOP lead country is the best in the world. Put the pipe down and get back to Spongbob.

not only is your comment childish and somewhat stupid but if you don't think this is the greatest country then you don't belong here. Not to mention that most everyone in this world belives this is the greatest country that why they all want to come here.So don't fool yourself with your liberal unamerican point of view.GOD BLESS AMERICA the greatest land on earth!!!

I know that John McCain has admitted to barely passing thru the military academy. I know that he has admitted to abusing his wife. I know that he has admitted to having helped Bill Keating cheat America and tax payers out of a lot of money. I know that he has admitted to having abused many of his coleagues in Congress. I know that he has called many of the people he has dealt with in public *** idiots and that he called his wife the "c" word and that he has no clue about how to fix the economy. He admitted to that too.

you know!I know thats what you keep saying. The question is how do you know?Let us in on your inside information.Or are you just trying to run someone down because you don't agree with his point of view. Its McCain campain is the only one spreading lies and negitivety acording to Obama campain and Obama supporters. That is false both campains are the same. Will say and do anything to sway your vote. This Idea that one side is evil and the other is holier than now is the results of mindless sheep like yourself being astray by sweet talk and promises that can't be kept.

I would have more faith in a man that can admit that he is wrong and is not afraid to ask for help. I have no "hailow" over my head, and I can admit that I was wrong and I need help to "mop-up" a mess. Where is your "haillow". "Where is your "haillow and what makes you better than me?" McCain knows what sacrifice is and he can admit that he has no "Haillow", Obama has been referred to as the "Anti-Christ" in my neighborhood. This statement really has me concerned!

Right. And let's not forget about the campaigns. Let's elect a candidate who coordinated and managed one of the most impressive campaigns we've ever seen. McCain's campaign, on the other hand, has been a joke. I put my money on the one who can hire the right people, and inspire enough support and donations to be successful against incredible odds. Gobama!!

Care about Obama's stand on illegal immigration? Just ask his Kenyan aunt who has been in the US illegally for the last four years AND living in welfare housing (also illegal for a non-citizen!) in Boston! Perhaps worse, Obama and his wife declared almost 14 MILLION in income last year, yet his aunt lives in welfare housing??? If that's how Obama takes care of family, how do you think YOU will fare under an Obama presidency. Zimbabwe, here we come!

  • Posted By: tc1957 @ 11/04/2008 3:47:05 PM

A vote for Obama is a vote for suppression of constitutional rights!! Go ahead, all of you who have no bibilcal foundations you cast your vote and see where it gets you. As for me and mine, we will worship the LORD, and load the guns.

    • Posted By: MSW721 @ 11/04/2008 4:08:23 PM

If you truely had faith in God you wouldn't need guns.

  • Posted By: ShawnaP @ 11/04/2008 4:00:31 PM

Such racist comments. Who said we are done with racism in America. If you think your not, think again. Because no normal person would make a joke like that. Grow up and get a life.

    • Posted By: brokeroncall @ 11/04/2008 4:07:52 PM

It's not a joke idiot. And as for growing up, you've got some serious growing pains headed your way too unless you're already on welfare. Some of us have to work.

If Obama wins......the fanatical muslims will be let loose and another attack on US soil will be a definite. I personally dont care if he is black or white.....but...a muslim preaching Christian beliefs? There is no such thing. I have been following this mudslinging fest and...you have got to be kidding me. Obama certainly know how to play the game...but when it comes down to it........McCain wins hand down......Good luck America
    Good luck America.

    • Posted By: 47rusty @ 11/04/2008 4:07:34 PM

And what is it, exactly, that makes you say that Obama is a Muslim? Is it his name? Oh, wait, you get named by your parents. Is it because he goes to a Muslim temple? Oh, right, he goes to a Christian church. McCain said that Obama is a Christian. Or don't you believe what McCain says?

    • Posted By: sadave @ 11/04/2008 3:24:49 PM

Obama is clearly NOT a muslim. Please get your facts checked before you post comments that can wrongly enrage others. We should be working to spread peace and love NOT hate in this world that is already so full of hate. And what if Obama was Muslim? What does that matter? Jews, Muslims, and Christians believe in the same ten commandments. Also, this great country of ours is build on freedom, equality and separation of church and state. What anybody believes about God does not matter. We should all follow what we believe and just make sure we don't hurt others. I would like to urge everyone to try not to hurt others by their comments on this blog. We are blessed and priviledged to live in a country where we have this sort of freedom of speech. Please use it wisely. This is an exciting history making day in our country. Lets celebrate our democracy and freedom!

This is just for the comment by luckypuck..."In God We Trust" first appeared on our Nation's money on coins in 1864. It began being put on paper bills ($1 silver certificate to be exact) in 1957, not because we were "Godless" before that time, but because "In God We Trust" became our National Motto in 1956. Also, speaking from first-hand experience, (being a combat veteran) countries like Iran and Iraq don't have governments that have God "all-pervasive" in them. They are run and controlled and fought over because of governments and citizens who let interpretation of their religion run their lives. They all have the same God, just different opinions on who should be worshipped.

I think that Obama would have to prove he is a US Citizen before running for office! How ignorant some people can be. I voted for Obama and proud of it..I have volunteered for his campaign also. Vote for who YOU want to be president DONT try to talk badly about other peoples choices. It's America....Freedom is still ours to choose who we like and believe in. OBAMA/BIDEN 08

Obama attended a church for 25 years that thought that whatever happens to the 'white man' is becuase they deserve it. jlwoodlpn i completely agree with you. i dont know how so many people look past everything that Obama has done wrong and still believe that she should be in control of our country. he is in relations with terrorists, when our economy had that crisis a few weeks ago, McCain did his job. he put his campaign to the side to do the job is is supposed to do. then Obama talks down to him like he did something wrong. No. Obama did something wring for not doing the job that he gets paid for. he is playing Robin Hood for the american people. He wants to take the money that they hard working americans earn to give to the people lower on the todem pole, usually becuase they have no motivation to actually go out and get a job. or go to college. he wants to make healthcare socialized so we all go broke and it will take months upon months to get a dr. appt. no i dont have health ins. and yes it would be nice. that is why i found myself a FULL TIME job on top of being a student to get it for myself. i dont depend on anyone but myself for things that are in my life. i cant pay for my own health ins. why would i want to pay for someone elses?

I am floored how white people are pointing out "racist blacks". I for one am not a racist even though my great grandfather was killed by the Klan. I get so sick of SOME white people making ignorant assumptions. One of the post said Blacks want Obama in the White House so we can get out of the ghetto! That is ignorant and crazy. I have never lived in the ghetto, I am well educated as are my parent before me and I am voting for Obama because that is my choice. The Republican Party has managed to bring out every uncouth, uneducated country piece of trash it could find this during this election. The face and tone of the Republican Party has become a pitiful joke.

I see alot of comments on here from whites who are sick of hearing blacks who pull the race card. I am white and I go to Norfolk State University in Virginia. It is a predominately black school. I am used to class discussions that typically end up in a conversation about how whites can never understand the struggles that blacks face. My answer to this is that we all face struggles as individuals and that we can never completely understand each other and our respective struggles. As the whole "walk in my shoes" saying goes ... I agree that there are still prejudice people today. Are there are whites that abuse their positions of power to create hardships for blacks. YES! But do whites struggle as well? YES! Another person commented on how there is an African American History Month and Hispanic Celebration Month... but is there a White History Month? No. I heard about a man who had Halloween decoractions in his front yard. One was of McCain coming out of his chimney on fire and one was of Sarah Palin hanging from a noose from his tree. They said that this was freedom of speech but think about it.... what if it had been Obama on that noose? There would have

700 billion would have been better spent buying Ford a 500 million dollar production plant to build eco friendly cars instead of bailing out banks and bug business. Let the big boys go under and give the money in grants and small business loans to the mom and pop stores that they ran out of business. It's time to stop using taxpayer money to fix poor business decisions. Perhaps we can get them to pay off all our debts. I will stick by the Republican credo, "I can spend my money better than the govt. can".

When the government let Lehman Brothers fail, all of a sudden there was this big money market fund that lots of people had their money invested in that went belly up. So, when you let big companies fail, you can also wind up hurting everyday people who have nothing to do with them directly. We have to be careful what we wish for.

I'm tired of people blaming Bush for our economic troubles. These troubles began long before Bush came into office. A big part of the mortgage crisis is because so many Americans "bite off more than they can chew" and buy what they cannot afford. Loans were given to people who could not continue to pay them. People are "borrowing from Peter to pay Paul" as they say. Furthermore, I would be more than happy to vote for an African American for president if he would stand for core family and Christian values, which Obama does not. McCain also knows more than anyone, having gone through what he endured in Vietnam, how to deal with the crisis in Iraq. Besides, better to fight the terrorists on their soil than on ours!

Scrap! I couldn't agree with you more.......This is the beginning of a war on our own turf...look at all these comments!!!! From both sides.......what will everyone say or feel when the war of all wars breaks out on AMERICAN soil??? The trouble our country is in is from many many years of turmoil...It didn't start with any of the Bushes, not even Clinton...its been so many years...."the trickle effect:....we as Americans, need to unite, we need to stand up for the TRUTH, we need a leader who stands for America....someone who has the experience we all crave......

When did this become a race of Race, I thought the qualifications were the reason people choice the candidates, I understand that we still live in a world of small minded people that think just because the coor of you skin is a little darker you are any different from the person standing next ot you, we all bleed the same color, and as for McCain the man dont even know how many houses he owns, how is he suppose to keep up with a whole country.
