George Soros finally got what he wanted! I have a feeling that his influence is going to extend well beyond the campaign stage. Everybody was touting what a great campaign Obama was running. But he wasn't running it. It was running him. With enough money you can buy anything. You can buy extreme order. George Soros is going to continue coddling Obama through his presidency to make him look good. He will likely be in contact with foreign leaders, buying their cooperation and easing their fears. The Democratic take over of congress was probably engineered long in advance. This also makes Obama's job easier and insulates him from the tough issues that presidents have to deal with in terms of senate battles between Republicans and Democrats. George Soros likely bought Obama an Army of advisors to answer any and all questions. Remember Soros is the financial genious that made his money off of the securities markets. He may have even had a hand in crashing the stock market to favor the Democrats just before the election. There is no way that the most unqualified presidential candidate in history got to where he did without such massive help. Some have speculated that after Obama won the Presidency, the media would turn on him and the honeymoon would be over but there is a broader agenda. Soros is buying up all of these newspapers that are endorsing Obama which is an attempt at a Socialist propaganda state. He will likely retain his control over the large media networks as well. What is the price Obama pays for having his ego stoked? An agenda that makes George Soros the grand puppet master of planet Earth!

Mr Krohn..I am reaching out to you as best as I can...there is no one person or thing in this world that has the kind of money you propose was used to "buy" the election. To assume that every person that voted for Mr. Obama was led to do so by that select group of which you speak is foolhardy at best. There will be a historical account of this time in US history that will define it as the rejection of the separatist agenda of the Neo-Cons. What they, the Rovians, did is to reignite the old "North VS South", "City Folk VS Country Folk", "The 'Revenuer' Man VS The Moonshiners" fears of the past. The Rovians were able to pinpoint the fears of regular people caught in the maelstrom of the information explosion. Humans generally attack anything new, and that played along with the game. The biggest shame of the entire past 8 years was two fold...the bastardizing of the actual history of Ronald Regan and the abuse of the Evangelicals. Ronald Regan was a quieting force, able to connnect with all of the USA. However, he did not cause the end to the cold war, it was Johnpaul II, a Polish National that flexed his influence and drew the European peoples in that missed religion and still had the number one force "covet". They coveted the west, which was drawn in on small television via a bootleg satellite dish network. People wanted to be free and in control of their own lives. It was clear that no one American preisdent could bring the USSR down, they imploded instead, due to their hubris and the mere fact that they were in smaller numbers than those they meant to rule. WHen RR left office the entire credit market was messed up so bad, it gave birth to the modern collections industry and the crash of the market. The second is that so much of the last 8 years was flooded with the idea that one American was better than the other because of their faith. THis country was founded by ment that felt their religion was private, and PURPOSELY left any restriction on law due to religious preference out. THEY DID use the the affirmation of "So help Me GOD", One nation under GOD, in god we trust..as the ULTIMATE measure of the dedication and honesty. To have done all that has been and say it was honored by GOD or led by HIM is sad. The bottlnecking of the media has been a result of the Rupert Murdoch empire. As scary as it has been these past 8 years, I was never afraid that things would not change...I counted on it..WIth the internet the exchange of ideas is limitless, and it is impossible to hide anything. No one had to pay anyone to steer votes in any direction....I promise you , if you will let go of your fear of anything "not Republican" you will be open to facts from everywhere. Don't buy into the lies anymore. Be free Krohn, Be Free...

MIchigan is historically a worker state and ALWAYS heavily Democratic. Over the last 8 years we've seen the new "country folk", those that sold their small city homes to build on the "newly converted state properties' which pretty much ate up most of the lakefronts in the state, who thought they could be "cowboys". But like T Boone Pickens says " All hat, no cows". They attempted to ride the "everyubody's a star at church" craziness that seemed to glut itself on the Rabid Right Wing Republican movement. . As usual honesty and truth wins out. Americans cont like the choice of hating those that have a different idea or agenda, they are more prone to agree where they can and not get too embroiled in the things we dont agree on. Michigan is like that..

WITH INSURMOUNTABLE LEADS IN ALL THE POLLS, THE QUESTION IS NO LONGER WHO WILL WIN, BUT HOW BIG OF A LANDSLIDE OBAMA WILL WIN BY: 90%? 80%? 70%? HENCE, IT CAN ALREADY BE DECLARED THAT OUR SAVIOR, BARACK OBAMA, HAS WON AND WILL BE THE NEXT PRESIDENT OF OUR NEW OBAMACA NATION.

THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR SUPPORT AND DEDICATION. WE HAVE SUCCESSFULLY SMITED THE UNBELIEVERS AND OPENED THE ONE AND ONLY GATE TO HEAVEN. GOD BLESS US, GOD BLESS US ALL.

THE ONLY THING LEFT IS FOR MCCAIN TO DROP DEAD OR CONCEDE ALREADY. WE HAVE WON FOR THE GOOD OF THE WHOLE WORLD!

Michigan was never McCain's to have. This state is so entrenched in liberal politics that it would take a miracle to save. Look- they (not me, I voted for DeVos) voted Granholm to a 2nd term as gov. as the state was going down in flames. Pathetic.

Mccain and Bushes pro policy for big oil, big autos and huge trucks further prove their disconnect to the middle class. Up until one year and half ago Bush was giving tax breaks for those who bought Hummers and Excursions! Those two neocons never had the vision and intelligence to understand the need for new technology an science in regard to better mileage, smaller and safer autos and new hybrid technologies.
What do you expect from two elitist plutocrats?
    Good ridence!

This makes no sense. The United Auto Workers union, which makes its meat and potato shop bonuses off of the manufacture of larger cars and trucks,is a Democrat creature. Not a GOP one. The UAW long ago backed Obama, and sends 10 dollars in campaign monies to Democrats for every 1 it gives to the GOP. [Then too,all of Detroits big auto factories are in Democrat districts anyway].

Thanks for summarizing just how flawed McCain's strategy was. Since this appears to be a concept that the republican's just don't seem to understand, let me spell it out for you - THE AMERICAN PEOPLE JUST DON"T CARE ABOUT THIS CRAP. They are interested in the issues - they want to know what the strategy is for Iraq, for the economy, for health care, for the war on terror, etc.

You don't think McCain has his share of skeletons in his closet? Past relationships and associations with people that could be used in similar smear campaigns? Absolutely. But what the Democrats realized early on in this election is that the American people aren't interested in these topics and the Democrats chose not to go there. Instead, they focused on the issues and linking McCain the debacle that has been the last eight years.

But the Republicans never clued into this very simple reality. So they wasted a lot of time, effort, and money trying to convince the American people that they should care about this crap and it was totally ineffective.

So on behalf of Obama and his supporters, I would just like to say thank you.

Then why was ''Troopergate''the Number One reported story in America for 2008 [to-Election Day LEXIS-NEXXIS Nov.03,2008]. Obviously,it did not bear on any wars, any economy, and any education, crime,or healthcare issues. Yet Palin has been cleared of any wrongdoing.
Then too,American is getting ready to prepare to deal with a Democrat Party that is the most leftwinged in American history. Crying out for ''change''it may find that it gets more than it bargained for. It is disingenous to infer that the GOP has been ''running the country''for the ''past eight years'' The Constitution of the United States clearly makes plain that government is equally divided between three branches. One of these, which ''makes laws''has been run by Democrats for two years, long enough to assist in propelling the nation to its present pass.[hence Congress' gross unpopularity which is the worst on record]. They could make things much better, and I will allow them their chance. ..
        But I doubt it.

        • Posted By: Zig Zag @ 11/04/2008 12:45:59 AM

Are you serious? Trooper gate was a total non-event. Obama never mentioned it, never used it in any of his ads, never allowed the campaign to be distracted by it.

Obama has lead his campaign flawlessly. First against Hillary Clinton (who I think is a great person and will be president in 2016) and now against John McCain. And this is how he is going to run the country.

          • Posted By: Lee Holmes @ 11/04/2008 11:56:59 AM

You are not comprehending. It was a large enough event that it was the sole focus of the entire national media for the last three months, creating more news in that cycle than the previous six months going back to Jan.01 2008.[indeed,NEWSWEAK alone ran more than 70 articles and mentions of ''Troopergate'' yet ran zero articles on the corruption investigations of Democrats Chris Dodd or Charles Rangel, who run the powerful and thus newsworthy Senate Banking Committee and House Ways and Means Committee]. This is what happens when you have a press acting as Obama propaganda ministers,as even the non-partisan Center for Excellence in Journalism[Columbia University and former Obama alma mater] and the PEW Center for People and the Press have already acknowlaged.

        • Posted By: Zig Zag @ 11/04/2008 12:48:05 AM

Oh, I almost forgot, if you think that the country got in this mess just in the last two years when the Democrats had control of Congress, then you are an even bigger idiot that you already appear to be.

          • Posted By: Lee Holmes @ 11/04/2008 11:50:43 AM

Suffering fools is a de rigure job in these parts. Yet you are being dishonest when you claim that the Democrat-dominated Congress shares no responsibility for the present turn of events. Regulatory practices that would have reined in FANNIE and FREDDIE portfolios could have been initiated by the Democrats, yet they never even looked at the matter. The revisions to the 1872 Mining Act could have been placed into a compromise royalty rate by the Democrats, but they have stalled for the last two years. Democrats could have revived areas of GLASS-STEAGALL,which would have forced more regulatory practice upon private lenders in mergered companies, but they did not, indeed, never looked into the matter even at the sub-committee level.[why they did not is becoming increasingly clear. A federal grand jury in Los Angeles has cited Senate Banking Chairman Chris Dodd[D-Ct] as the recipient of ''sweetheart''loan deals from his friend Angelo Mozilo, the chairman of COUNTRYWIDE Loans]. Trying to gull the masses is a tiresome exercise in futility. Beware of what you wish for. You may get it.[and like Powells Republicans, you will own it,even when you break it].

    • Posted By: Zig Zag @ 11/03/2008 7:34:56 PM

Oh, and I forgot, thanks for voting for Obama. I am sure it was not easy. But I think this is going to be wake up call for the Republicans. Maybe now the moderates will take the party back from the far right idiots that have run it into the ground.

I've voted Republican before, when it was a kinder, gentler, party under Ronald Reagan. I am not sure what happened to that party, but I hope I will see it again.

???Nowforsomethingotherthanthetruth??? exemplifies the measures employed by the McCain campaign starting with the anonymous smear emails that began when McC hired the Bush propaganda machine.

This deception campaign tries to benefit from party loyalties. It preys upon hate, prejudice and fear, and on the ???unanswered questions??? fabricated by the anonymous emails this campaign perpetrated. Links to debunks of many of those fabrications are in an earlier posting.

This is by far the greatest extreme ever in American politics. It is a fundamental threat to our political process. It would further entrench the Bush operatives who took over the McC campaign, and the republican lobbyists who represent only the megarich who looted our economy.

McC was a maverick. He promised to root out the lobbyists he said are what???s wrong with Washington. He said he would not take the low road employed by the Bush machine when it smeared him. He sold out when he got behind and subscribed to the ideology that the end justifies the means.

McC would continue the Bush tax give away to the rich that McC previously opposed and called ???irresponsible??? because ???it only benefits the rich.???

McC now wants to give more billions in tax give aways to oil companies that have just reported the largest profits in history for two consecutive quarters, while he claims that lowering taxes for everyone under $250k in after-deduction income will somehow keep businessmen from starting businesses.

???Nowfor??? has employed many of the themes in the anonymous viral emails. He recently said it was ???revealed that Obama has PLO buddies??? referring to Rashid Khalidi to whom McC donated $440k:

    http://richmonddemocrat.blogspot.com/2008/10/mccain-funded-rashid-khalidi.html Guilt by association.

"Nowfor" continues repasting that the cause of our problem is a law decades old that encourages loans to qualified low income people.

Alan Greenspan said the cause is that an entire financial system was built outside of regulation; "we trusted" these self-interested looters ???to regulate themselves???. Credit Default Swaps resulted. They increased from $106 trillion in '02 to $531 trillion under R stewardship.

The legitimate news has reported that Fannie and Freddie paid many millions to McC's campaign manager, Rick Davis, who received up to $35K/mo. from Fannie and Freddie from 2000 to while he has been McC's campaign manager.

    http://www.nytimes.com/2008/09/22/us/politics/22mccain.html and http://www.newsweek.com/id/164732/page/1

Trillions were looted from our economy because the Rs allowed it. The Rs, including McC's campaign manager, are in the pockets of big money.

Without solutions, it is necessary to campaign with deception, misdirection, fear, smears, hypocrisy.

Attempts to hijack our political process with deceit and abuse of the trust of party loyalties are reasons I'm voting for Obama after 40 years of never voted for a Dem.

    A 40

Obama's plan for jobs on Pennsylvania, West Virginia and other coal producting states, and Obama's plan for dealing with the high cost of energy, including electricity generation.

An audiotape of an interview Barack Obama did in January 2008 with The San Francisco Chronicle has surfaced in the final days of the presidential campaign. On the tape Obama tells the interviewer how he will use environmenal laws to kill the Coal industry,

"so if somebody wants to build a coal-powered plant, they can ... It's just that it will bankrupt them because they're going to be charged a huge sum for all that greenhouse gas that???s being emitted."

Also says he's policy will cause price of electricity to skyrocket.

Now, why would Obama say that in San Francisco and not Pennsylvania? We've seen him do that before, right? Something about guns and religion.

And why did Newsweek take their story on the Pennsylvania campaign down yesterday after this story broke?

  • Posted By: starwatcher777 @ 11/04/2008 2:41:42 AM

It is kind of mind boggling that McCain played to the far right (especially illustrated by his vp pick) instead of going for his natural electorate.....the moderates.

Don't get me wrong, I love McCain, but how badly his campaign has been run sort of makes me wonder if his presidency would also be full of non-nonsensical decisions.

  • Posted By: Nins @ 11/04/2008 12:30:13 AM

Experience is only pertinent when it is combined with good judgement. McCain's poor judgement has been apparent since the day in Vietnam when he heard the warning bell that a missile was on his tail. Instead of diving and rolling like he was trained to do, he stayed on course and got shot down. McCain's poor judgement is on display again now, in his choice of Palin as running mate. Both of these cases were "maverick" judgement. And in both cases, the cowboy maverick bet wrong.

    • Posted By: Zig Zag @ 11/04/2008 1:10:29 AM

Nins, i love you baby, but this one is a little bit unfair. Combat is a very scary and confusing thing. You can't ding McCain on judgement just because he got shot down.

For picking Sarah Palin - yes. For hiring all of GW's cronies to help with his campaign - yes. For selling his honor and integrity for a shot at the White House - yes.

But McCain did serve and he did put his life on the line for this country. To ding him for that is a little harsh and unfair.

Out with the RED in wit the BLUE in 2008. Vote Obama Biden on Nov 4th!

Obama has 63 Nobel Laureates working on his policy team. They are developing a plan to push America back to the top. Who is responsible for McCain's planning? Americans would be shocked to find that Douglas Holtz-Eakin is the sole person responsible for planning McCain's policy for America's future. Holtz-Eakin is also McCain's economic advisor, filling two full time positions on McCain's team. How can one single man (an economist) be responsible for developing a viable technology plan for our future?

Obama has an enormous pool of the most intelligent, talented men and women in America working for him. Soon, they will be working for us: for you and for me and for America.

And let's not forget that the McCain campaign spent more on Palin's makeup artist than it did on it's foreign policy advisor. When you pay your makeup artist DOUBLE what you pay your foreign policy advisor, it is time to start examining your priorities.

You look just fine without makeup, John. And Sarah is young enough not to need any. So cut the crap, and start paying some good ECONOMIC ADVISORS so you can have a fiscal plan to present to America. We're in the middle of a huge global financial meltdown, and you are worried about hair and makeup? PLEASE start worrying about the middle class, John. Please.

In the exchange with "Joe the plumber" Obama unintentionally revealed that he really is as radical as his early political mentors and acquaintances, Davis, Ayers, Wright, Khalidi etc., (gee, there sure seem to be a lot of them) and that he is into the failed economic policy of wealth redistribution. Now there is absolute proof. In 2001, Obama, the "community organizer" turned legislator, said in an interview:

"And I think one of the tragedies of the civil rights movement was that the civil rights movement became so court-focused, I think there was a tendency to lose track of the political and organizing activities on the ground that are able to bring about the coalitions of power through which you bring about redistributive change, and in some ways we still suffer from that,"

Obama's tax and spending plans alone would be bad enough, but add Reid and Pelosi to the mix, with the three of them controlling both houses of Congress and the executive branch without any effective restraint, and you have something that should causes concern even among moderate Democrats.
See Wall Street Journal: A Liberal Supermajority:

    http://online.wsj.com/article/SB122420205889842989.html

Indeed, some democrats are publically saying as much. See Barney Franks comments on the news, including face the nation last week, stating essentially that Democrats in Congress intend to greatly raise taxes and go on a spending spree.

    See http://www.taxfoundation.org/blog/show/23617.html

Obama's ill-conceived programs will require him to tax, and his health care plan alone is a substantial hidden tax on all business, large an small. In reality, it does not really matter who he taxes, those taxes are going to be passed through the economy. He has to tax, because it is they only way he can pay for his massive social engineering experiments. Any first year economics student knows that taxation is a tool used to contract an economy experiencing inflation, because it reduces demand by reducing the amount of money individuals and businesses have to spend. It is contractionary, which is exactly what you do not want to do when the problem is that the economy is contracting already into recession. Like Hoover and FDR, Obama's plans will only make it worse for longer.

Obama and a supermajority of Democrats simply is not the change we need, nor is it change we can afford.

Obama???s plan for jobs on Pennsylvania, Virginia , West Virginia , Kentucky, Tennessee, and other states, and Obama???s plan for dealing with the high cost of energy, including electricity generation.

An audiotape of an interview Barack Obama did in January 2008 with The San Francisco Chronicle has surfaced in the final days of the presidential campaign. On the tape Obama tells the interviewer, ???so if somebody wants to build a coal-powered plant, they can ??? It???s just that it will bankrupt them because they're going to be charged a huge sum for all that greenhouse gas that's being emitted."

Now, why would Obama say that in San Francisco and not Pennsylvania?

And why did Newsweek take their story on the Pennsylvania campaign down yesterday after this story broke?

Obama has frequently cited his backing of clean-coal fired plants. His comment to the San Francisco Chronicle was talking about legislation AS IT CURRENTLY EXISTS, not legislation he proposes, or endorses.

Your quote is deliberately taken out of context and twisted to say the exact opposite of what Obama is suggesting, which is to make clean-coal cheaper and more competitive, not more expensive.

And since the interview was in January of 2008, this is a hardly a story that just "broke" in the final days of the campaign.

I disagree. Obama will move to install an anti-coal pick to head EPA,and will work with Boxer,Carper and Waxman to dismantle provisions of the 2005 Energy Act. What Boxer and Waxman desire,[Biden is on board as well even before his VP nod],is to eliminate plants which give off a certain amount of carbon PPM at a minimal threshhold. Plants deemed unable to retrofit will be shut down. These consist of those plants built 27 to 52 years ago,and make up 71% of all coal-fired plants in the US.
As Democrats did in refusing any further petroleum refineries to be built in this nation since 1979,the problem as seen by energy analysts,is that the sudden closure of these plants even apart from the fact that they will create more unemployment where it is not warranted,is the tandem fact that they will be unable to contribute to an energy grid in peak use periods, creating massive blackouts and brownouts. The ''new''technologies touted by Biden and Obama will simply not be able to be brought on line rapidly enough to close this gap. Obama must tread carefully here. States that went ''Blue''in the general election ,will return to the Red side of the board in the midterms if Obama is influenced by an increasingly leftwinged Congress.

One more conspiracy theory the day before the election - what a surprise. That's right, it is the liberal media that is to blame for McCain's defeat.

Let's forget that George W Bush Jr. had been the worst President in the history of this country and instead blame the media for pointing it out. Well, thank goodness the majority of American's have not forgotten.
