Sounds like a bunch of excuses made on behalf of the muslim/arab world. First what have you done against these extremist groups before we came around! Nothing! You supported them quietly and if was fun to jump around on TV and yell Alluh Akbar!!.........you say that most Arabs would feel a relief if Bin Laden is caught while the very same arabs are supporting him financially! ......Mr. Benchemsi your arguement is so narrow minded that even if you did not post your name and where you are from I could have accurately pointed out that the writer is biased!!..........The Arab world has not supported the US for a long time not just in the past 8 years.............

I guess the U.S doesn't get any credit for getting rid of Saddam who killed millions of Muslims. You can't have your cake and eat too.

To the gentleman who wrote this article and to whom agrees, if one is so admired by the values on which this great nation was founded then why must this country compromise in order to please the world. Should America sit back and be condemned by those who hate us? Should this great nation, who loves its people, watch them die because of their morals, or beliefs (in which some Americans are Muslim/Islamic). Also in response to your statement about WASP, if this country belongs to these individuals then really would there be an African American running for President (since the "WA" stands for white american)? I will greatly answer the question for you; no. No, what you are referring to are individuals of the Christian faith. I do agree that we do not fully understand Arab-Muslims and their tactics simply because they talk of peace while murdering thousands. Consider this Sir, to either Arab-Muslims or Americans who is your so called "Great Satan?" After all it was I and many other American citizens who watched their country humiliated, and the many innocent women, men, and children who died on 9/11.

You are so twisted! First of all, you might want to educate yourself a little. Muslims out number Christians in this world by a HUGE margin. The notion that we don't need Muslim nations as allies is ridiculous. Currently we are not shed in a favorable light by Muslim nations mostly because of the foreign policies of the past 8 years. The U.S.A. used to be looked up upon by most nations around the world as a place of oppurtunity, freedom, and justice. As of late, we are looked more upon as thugs who are trying to legitimize torture and occupation of other sovereign countries that never attacked us. This is one of the reasons young muslim men turn to a life of terrorism. If we elect a man that will send a message to other muslim nations, and young muslim men and women that perhaps we aren't the uptight, cowboy, gun toten, shootem' up, redneck nation that we have become, then perhaps we might see a reduction of terrorism, and a possibility for diplomacy, and a path for peace.

As for your statement of muslims murdering thousands, you might want to look at some other numbers. Hundreds of thousands of muslim men and women including hundreds of thousands of innocent bystanders were killed just in the Iraq war alone. Each of these individuals have families, (brothers, mothers, fathers, sisters, uncles, etc etc) and each family member is affected and driven to a very dismal opinion of the U.S.A.

We must please the world. We are afterall all residents of this world, and have to work together. This isn't a football game where you can raise your big foam finger and yell "We're number one!".

Now that we know Obama has PLO buddies, no thanks to the LA Times, looks like maybe Jesse Jackson knows a good bit more about Obama's politics than the national media does, or JewsForObama for that matter.

AJC Strongly Condemns Rev. Jesse Jacksons Comment on American Jews
October 14, 2008 - New York - The American Jewish Committee (AJC) has condemned the Rev. Jesse Jackson's statement about "Zionists who have controlled American policy for decades."

"Rev. Jackson's remarks, which appeared in an interview with the journalist Amir Taheri in today's New York Post, echo classic anti-Semitic conspiracy theories about Jewish power," said AJC Executive Director David A. Harris. "This statement, regrettably, is not the first troubling comment by Rev. Jackson regarding Israel, Zionism and the Jewish people.

Arguing as a private citizen that an Obama administration could bring significant change to U.S. foreign policy, Jackson was quoted as saying that "Zionists who have controlled American policy for decades" would lose much of their influence should Senator Obama be elected president."

    A 40 year republican

???Nowforsomethingotherthanthetruth??? exemplifies the measures employed by the McCain campaign starting with the anonymous smear emails that began when McC hired the Bush propaganda machine.

This deception campaign tries to benefit from party loyalties. It preys upon hate, prejudice and fear, and on the ???unanswered questions??? fabricated by the anonymous emails this campaign perpetrated. Links to debunks of many of those fabrications are in an earlier posting.

This is by far the greatest extreme ever in American politics. It is a fundamental threat to our political process. It would further entrench the Bush operatives who took over the McC campaign, and the republican lobbyists who represent only the megarich who looted our economy.

McC was a maverick. He promised to root out the lobbyists he said are what???s wrong with Washington. He said he would not take the low road employed by the Bush machine when it smeared him. He sold out when he got behind and subscribed to the ideology that the end justifies the means.

McC would continue the Bush tax give away to the rich that McC previously opposed and called ???irresponsible??? because ???it only benefits the rich.???

McC now wants to give more billions in tax give aways to oil companies that have just reported the largest profits in history for two consecutive quarters, while he claims that lowering taxes for everyone under $250k in after-deduction income will somehow keep businessmen from starting businesses.

???Nowfor??? has employed many of the themes in the anonymous viral emails. He recently said it was ???revealed that Obama has PLO buddies??? referring to Rashid Khalidi to whom McC donated $440k:

    http://richmonddemocrat.blogspot.com/2008/10/mccain-funded-rashid-khalidi.html Guilt by association.

"Nowfor" continues repasting that the cause of our problem is a law decades old that encourages loans to qualified low income people.

Alan Greenspan said the cause is that an entire financial system was built outside of regulation; "we trusted" these self-interested looters ???to regulate themselves???. Credit Default Swaps resulted. They increased from $106 trillion in '02 to $531 trillion under R stewardship.

The legitimate news has reported that Fannie and Freddie paid many millions to McC's campaign manager, Rick Davis, who received up to $35K/mo. from Fannie and Freddie from 2000 to while he has been McC's campaign manager.

    http://www.nytimes.com/2008/09/22/us/politics/22mccain.html and http://www.newsweek.com/id/164732/page/1

Trillions were looted from our economy because the Rs allowed it. The Rs, including McC's campaign manager, are in the pockets of big money.

Without solutions, it is necessary to campaign with deception, misdirection, fear, smears, hypocrisy.

Attempts to hijack our political process with deceit and abuse of the trust of party loyalties are reasons I'm voting for Obama after 40 years of never voted for a Dem.

    A 40
