SK47-I know who you are. At least have the courage to post under your regular screen name. You don't and you won't. Btw, say "hello" to Joe the Plumber for me.

The country is NOT the country I grew up in. Today this country sucks.

Just look at the trends and you can see where we are headed..

A self serving, viscously cunning, loser bit*h getting the coverage she is getting from the MSM. SICKENING.

I am for Obama but I do NOT believe even he can save it.

Just a matter of time before we fall.

Sounds radical but just look at reality.

Palin doesn't have a chance. She would be a HUGH boost to Obama in 2012. I have not heard a single prominant republican even mention her name when asked about her future. They ignore the point of the question, and just say there are many qualified candidates and there will be more.

The 'base' she excites are the ignorant propaganda dupes, right wing extremists and religiofascists. The aren't enough of them, Thank God! Go to the site on the republican governor conference. Many more traditional republicans will vote to defeat her. :-)

If you want her, you want her to get all the national exposure possible. She cannot complete a sentence. She just humiliated herself again with her inability to form even fragmented thoughts about the bail out.

Jindal will be the candidate in 2012, and he will be a formidable candidate. At least he's smart and (actually) educated.

In an article I recently read on either Huffpost or The new Republic, a poll showed that 64% of Republicans want to see Sarah Palin run for president in 2012. One has to wonder who did the polling.

        • Posted By: 40YearR @ 11/14/2008 12:23:51 AM

That's 64% of a shrinking party. It also means that 36% of even republicans oppose her (this number will grow). What would you bet that she's going to make up the difference from Dems and Indies? Nada!

Comment: I venture to say that the poster kellyjean has "struck a chord" with you and has pegged you very well, which has annoyed you. Howbeit that you make the assertion that their language is not nice while ignoring your own "very obscene" thinking and speaking traits is a tell tale sign of a self righteous person, meaning that they see themselves "right in their own eyes" and everyone else is wrong but them. Given the many post that I chose to site below is again, another tell tale sign that this is a way of life for you on a continuous basis that no decent person would align themselves to.

Additionally, your constant rants and barrage of affirmation of others that you apparently know on this blog is another tell tale sign of you sever lack of "self-confidence" and "self-esteem." It appears that the person you are fond of sighting with "your set" of deficiencies is quite assured in what they believe, think, and in their decisions, enough to stand alone in their quest and against you and others. My hat is off to "kellyjean," you however have nothing of importance for me to give consideration too. Touche'

tippology1: while I hear what you are saying, i disagree about the level of attacks, and what was going on.

With that said, McCain was my focus because of I have followed him since before he ran in the primaries against GWB. I was disappointed that he loast to Bush at that time I would have voted for him. So, what I felt about how he held honor and respect at a high level was tarnished by his campaign. His campaign was a slap in his own face in terms of degradation of integrity.

He did have some really good moments, and they moved me, but it was when he showed himself. He was not in an enviable position for somebody running for president. He had to make decisions that were very risky, and impactful, and those hurt him.

As far as Obama, I did not know of him until four years ago. I did not have any notions of the man he was before that. Whatever you think about him, like him or hate him, or whatever, he won against Clinton and that was huge. His campain was ran at a level that many will emulate in the future. He totally beat the GOP at it's own game and I would say kicked their a$$.

Not sure what kind of president he will be. But he sure was organized. That community organizer they made so much fun of sure took care of business.

All in all though it was not about Obama as it was about the country moving beyond traditional politics of the parties. Those old labels are not going to work any longer. The GOP really wore out thier welcome and appeared a party not able to adapt to this century. The country moved on and left the GOP behind. That is why there is going to be a huge power struggle in that party over it's direction.

The sides will all bring thier data into discussions to justify thier positions. How I see it is, if they stick with the base and 2 issue politics, they are finished. The base if not progressive and this country is moving away from that. There is too much going on in the world to be bogged down in old positions that the country still finds important, but not critical to our survival.

  • Posted By: tippology1 @ 11/11/2008 6:52:34 AM

I hear Palin has blamed Bush for her defeat, well if you ask me I think Palin needs a reality check. If she would have been more ready to do her job when she was called upon then the GOP would have won. Maybe she needs to study more, learn where continents area and realize in a interview when she is being out foxed and out played. I was pulling hard for McCain but not Palin. McCain is noble man, I think the American people can see that but he went up against the devil and the devil has a lot of help in the election. McCain had a person at his side that has a ego problem and she will lose badly if she run for office in 12. I think until Hillary said what she said, McCain was going to ask her to run with him and he would of won hands down........

    • Posted By: whatisreal? @ 11/11/2008 7:13:16 PM

Sad McCain sold out for Palin, very sad. I feel he sold out what made him special, he sold out to the base, and she should not have had the right to stand by him on the same stage. I feel she would have slit his throat when he wasn't looking. It was a bad choice for him on so many levles it boggles the mind.

They took a big gamble and it only bought him (or her) the support that he was not getting from the base. Going for the Hillary voters really was far fetched. It was a novelty of a choice, and took away for many the respect they held for McCain's Judgement.

      • Posted By: tippology1 @ 11/12/2008 1:58:55 AM

Yeah but Obama has time and time again sold out and no one is question him at this point. Forgive me for saying this but the Democrats in this years election did every dirty thing you can do in a campaign and no one said anything. They have sunk to a new low and millions of people who hate bush said nothing. Obama in my eyes will never gain repsect, as long as he continues to follow this program of shame. I can since he means well but his greed to win has over played his once strong base of being upfront, in my eyes. But those who have done wrong and will do wrong long her after any election will meet the same faith, history tells us this not man...

Where does Sarah Palin go from here?

Well, when she finally realizes the country is making fun of her and not actually listening to her, I imagine she'll slither back off to Juneau...for a little while. Then it's back to Wasilla.

We've seen the last of Sarah Palin. Good riddance.

No problem. I am not a "tree hugging *** liberal" as they say. I will defend myself, and my friends and family and if need be my country, and will be their worst nightmare if they want to go there.

I am not somebody that does not hit back. I do when I need to and am a finisher.

It is funny how we are all labelled and put in this liberal box where yuo are on welfare and have nothing to contribute. I have a great job, six figures, I hunt (OMG! a liberal that has guns!) and fish, and into martial arts since I was a young child. I can defend myself, but prefer to not go there if possible.

Some people here online think that since I voted for Obama I must be a loser and an idiot, a welfare case. The truth is most of those doing the talking couldn't stand on the same field. Not bragging, just the facts that we are all not stupid defenseless parasites.

I admire my leaders when thier judgements are not wrapped up in bravado and they can use their heads, and plan, and access risk, and understand the enemy. Understanding the enemy means getting in their head, and dare I say, talking to them!

You really are a very bitter person, harleyboy! "repigs".? As I recall - which you certainly don't - your beloved democrats voted in favor of the war, and the war against terrorism. Well, maybe you were too young to remember that. What is your agenda, by the way. I assume, you have none - just hatred and bitterness. Have fun, shirley!

    • Posted By: whatisreal? @ 11/13/2008 1:48:52 PM

You are correct, the democrats sold out because they did not have the backbone to do what was right. I was blown away when the voted behind Bush on Iraq. Afganistan, i can understand going in there, Iraq, that was a debacle.

So yes, you are right, and I lost a lt of respect, for congress after that.

  • Posted By: whatisreal? @ 11/11/2008 8:14:46 PM

Palin could have helped herself if she would have been more genuine. The act was a little over the top and you really never got a taste of who this person was.

She is obviously a good speaker and politician, but you got the sense that there was nothing more than an attack dog, or cheerleader. They kept her hidden for good reason it seems. She was a token, red meat to get the base excited, but what could she provide beyond that. She didn't show anything of substance that would make you feel comfortable that she could handle the most important job in the world. In fact, she displayed just the opposite.

They wanted us to just take thier word that she was vetted, and scrutinized. Who could do that with so much at stake? They said she was being attacked unfairly, but she was in the ring with everybody else. They pretended that she was being scrutinized unfairly, but for that job she was going for, she better damn well be scrutinized, and put through the ringer.

Her resume was relatively weak in so many respects. Her interviews were jaw droppers to say the least, and excellent late night comedy.

Pair that with Joe the plummer and you have something that is a nightmare for those looking back at this election. All you can do is loook back at the spectacle and shake your head and say, "Oh MY GOD!"

    • Posted By: Vypurr @ 11/11/2008 9:39:24 PM

Palin behaved as who she was. All the candidates screwed up with gaffes. Obama's camp, like McCain's, kept Biden in the dog house after his colossal "mark my words, we're in for it" speech.

And Joe the Plumber? It wasn't his question that put him in the spot light... it was Obama's answer.

      • Posted By: Pia1981 @ 11/11/2008 9:56:09 PM

IMO Palin is a sharp woman, but was tossed into the mess too early and then not handled right. Maybe in four years, but I seriously doubt she'll be the nominee. Look for Jindal or Romney, or....

The party needs to take a breather for a few months and leave her alone. It ain't gonna happen, but they should!

Hi Pia, Sorry 'bout dat. Jus' dronin' along. I can tell that you're a very empathetic person. I guess she forfeited her entitlement to sympathy from me when she joined in on the hate and fear campaign, and when she so obviously enjoyed with such gusto the crowd's participation in it. So, please look the other way if I stomp on her as she poses as a nice gal... Attempts to pose as a victim always kinda get me too... :-)

I know that her behavior was inexcusable during the entire election and I posted many cruel comments about her....It's just that lately I am in a very sensitive mood and when that happens I tend to think with my heart instead of my head. Please post any comments about her you'd like. Btw, I'm curious to know, are you a male or female?

Pia, Are you getting sexist on me all of a sudden? :-) Actually, I am flattered that you need to ask. I do try to see things from a gender- and race-neutral perspective, and to act in that way. I'm male. Not sure anyone else could have that out of me. It's just that you're so nice... Please try to read my comments without reference to that information.

40YearR, thanks for telling me you are a "dude", lol! I only wanted to know your gender because I wanted you to understand how I feel. Another woman would be able to understand more where I am coming from since we women feel so much emotion. IMO, men have emotions too but not to the degree we women do. I hope I have not come off as being sexist with these comments.
Thanks for saying I'm nice. Likewise.

Pia, I do get your point. I can't completely understand your gender for the same reason I could never completely understand the experience of child birth. But, that is not to say that I cannot understand and appreciate your sympathy/empathy.

                Purring is good.

Sarah Palin is not ignorant. She is bright. She just does not have the knowledge. It's not her fault though. When asked by Katie Couric if she could name but one Supreme Court case, she had not a clue. What of the Exxon-Valdez Alaskan oil spill? I mean, really.

I like Bobby Jindal. He is a friend of a friend. Mitt Romney is allright too.

Yes it was very early for her to try this. I'm sure she knew Africa was a continent, just as I'm sure Obama knew there's not 57 states. They all screw up. She sited R vs. W, but you're right, she should have known more.

A lot will depend on the economy, war, the threat of war.... all that in four years. Who knows, she may be ready by then, but so will Jindal. He'll have time as Gov. and time to learn the ropes also. Right now, I want to see what number 44 is going to do.

Talk about trying to elect Bo and Daisy Duke, and having Roscoe P. Coltrane do your campaigning for you.

  • Posted By: OnlyCure=Truth @ 11/13/2008 3:16:23 AM

???Only banks can loan money they don???t have and charge interest for it. Because the elite who own
the banks made it a policy that the bank can loan 10 dollars for every 1 it actually has.
That is what created the current financial mess or as they say problem with liquidity.
They created the problem by loaning money they did not even have to loan.
Dishonest usury is what it is.

Full disclosure of banking policies would be nice lets have it all put on the table for every one to
see just how corrupt they are taking food and housing from people who work hard while they sit
in there penthouses reading about bank bailout's. No don???t feel sorry for them feel sorry for the
people who are being crushed under there feet from the dishonest usury.

Most people had to give a down payment before 2004 for a home and if you where considered
risky you had to give a bigger down payment.
    For example
on a loan of 180,000 with medium to low risk you would fork out 7000.00 to buy a home.

Now what does that translate into for the bank.
The banks can loan 10 dollars for every 1 dollar they have and charge interest for the loan.
win - win for the bank
1 = 10 for them right off plus interest
    7000 = 70,0000 plus interest
then you have a payment of 750.00 or so with interest on the loan
750.00 = 7500.00 plus interest per month as you pay in for them
1 year of payments = 90,000 plus interest for them to loan to others.
so if you put 7000.00 down and finance 180,000.00 they get repaid in one year with a payment of
    750.00
Sounds strange but remember 1 dollar is as good as ten to them for every dollar they take in they
    can loan 10
So don???t feel sorry for them and bail them out. Bail out the public who just keeps paying not
    knowing any better.

If you paid a down payment on your house and then you paid on it for even a year you paid it off
in the banks books. 30+ times over if you paid for 30 years.

After the first year they use your money to pay there salaries of 22 million for 22 days on the job what a joke.

I doubt it, but it would flip a lot of people either for Obama or away from Palin all in one stroke. And he comes out looking very mature, a leader, and a uniter of the people.

And put her in a job she has an interest in because she has skin in the game. No lose situation...

  • Posted By: whatisreal? @ 11/12/2008 1:48:18 PM

ariziowa: You said you majored in psychology so I asked for your opinion without attacking you. I was attempting to lay out some things that really bothered me about how far people will go, and how much a loss impacts the choices that they make, and why some take the high road, and some take are bottom feeders. To put it bluntly, why when some people lose do they act so childish, mean, and do not relect the values they profess to hold dear.

But after looking at your response (I did not have to read it, becuase it was a one liner) it seems thatthey only thing yu could have possibly majored in was STUPIDITY. You are very immature and insecure and feel powerful sitting there all smug, hiding behind your keyboard.

To most you likely appear to be somebody that they laugh at. You are like one of those movies that are supposed to be serious and they are made so poorly that they are laughable.

So, I had to step down to your level 3rd grade punk, master of psychology...

arizoiwa is one of those people who tend to pull you down to their level as that is the only way to communicate with them. Mature and intelligent dialog is completely foreign to them.

      • Posted By: whatisreal? @ 11/12/2008 3:54:11 PM

Ya, and you know that they are probably not really all that much like that. It was a really nasty campaign, and people saw their hopes come crashing down on them. You just wonder when the trash will stop.

Yes, I feel I have to come down to that level to communicate with AZ, but that is my failure. I will telll you, the best moments of the campaign was not when Obama won, but when McCain stuck up for Obama in that town hall, it turned me upside down.
Also when the contenders did their comic routines, McCain was awesome, and it moved me. Made me remember all the trash that they were talking was just trash, and was desperation, not the man McCain is.

One last comment of a conciliatory nature. While I felt compelled to express my thoughts, unlike many of you, I simply didn't often get into the back-n-forth stuff. At first I did but actually quickly got turned off with the frequency of the distasteful and argumentative comments. It isn't that I thought I was above any of it, just that I didn't care for it and was satisfied expressing what I felt was pertinent and responsive to something compelling. Anyway I commend those of you who shared dialog and each others different opinions. For the most part, you made interesting reading. Good luck.

Sarah Palin now offers herself to the Obama admin to lead energy and Special Needs efforts, even though 'she still has reservations about the Ayers relationship. Can anyone believe the gall and stupidity of this woman? Sarah Palin is literally a joke, a ridiculous joke of poor taste. If the ultra-conservatives think that the Republican Party can present and sell Sarah Palin (and Todd Palin) to the American voters as being fit for the White House, then that is an insult which tells what they actually think of the voters' inteligence and their own ability to get away with the manipulation. For them it would be seeking another puppet to do their bidding but much like McCain, they could actually be unpleasantly surprised and for America, if she were ever really elected, it would just be another disaster.

    • Posted By: whatisreal? @ 11/12/2008 4:14:25 PM

He may actually take her up on the special needs part. That is the kind of thing he is going to have to do to help reunite a badly divided country.

      • Posted By: NewsWkDickG @ 11/12/2008 4:27:02 PM

I suppose it is possible but I strongly doubt it. Besides many being as or more qualified, I would think most other choices would offer better subordination and cooperation. With Sarah Palin people either love or hate her, either respect her or view her with contempt and I suspect the Obama admin, like most in the country today, are in the latter category.

Why is Pia not bright? Are you an adult or a teenager going through puberty? Just never know on these sites who you are writing to.

I read in your posts you had/have an interest in pschology, or that was your major, or at least that is what you said. In your opinion how would you summarize the loss of the GOP felt by it's supporters?

Do you feel that they are responding in a fashion that befits thier advertised morals and values?

Would you say in honesty that if you win or lose you do it with integrity, or do you find it is acceptable to smear and show the ugly side of somebody who lost?

I can understand the letdown and emotions wrapped up in elections, especially one of this magnatude, but when individuals judge others so negatively when they are winning, and do the same when they lose, what does that tell you about what these people actually value?

What does it tell you about what we teach our children? Don't we teach them to win and lose with integrity and good sportsmanship? What kind of examples are we then?
