Someone should tell Governor Plain that apparently "community organizers" are great at getting out the vote.

Now the burden of guilt will fall on the Democratic party, because they won't be able to blame the Republicans. And, the Republicans will have to realize they need a strong, conservative candidate, not a moderate (seemingly liberal) one like McCain. The difference between the two candidates was that a vote for Obama was a vote FOR Obama, but a vote for McCain was not a vote FOR McCain, but a vote against Obama. If the Republican party does not come up with a truly conservative candidate, four years later Obama will get re-elected no matter what he does or does not do. You can tell how well a president is doing by the success of businesses to create jobs and more money for others, if he continues to think that's governments job his administration will only be around for four years...like Carter. I predict this is exactly what we have happening here.

I am so proud of American for electing a great leader and an intelligent leader . I have been following the campaign and how dificult it was at times to hope that something like this could happen but it has! I am celeberating in a small hotel room in the Pakistani capital of Islamabad, glued to my internet and tv screen. Crying and laughing at the same time for a great result in the right direction for both American and the world. I will try to be there for his inaugration ceremony in Washington because that is how historic this is to me, a person who has boycotted the United states because of its bad foriegn policies, policies that effect among others my country of Pakistan.Lets all pray that Obama will make the right decision in promoting peace and helping Paksitan rid of its own hopelessness.

For all of those who have voted and elected Obama as the President of the United States....why are all the Pakistans and Iraeli's happy and excited? Does that not say something about him? Does that not bring worries or concerns to your attention? I mean seriously!! When an enemy to the US becomes glad and happy that someone is elected to be the leader of this Country, you can't help but wonder why they are so excited...my answer or conclusion would be because they are not enemies...hmmm!!

I am not going to follow McCain's advice. I don't believe it's the time to come together - I believe it is the time to resist the democrat's policies and wishes. Why should we anyway? They have been the ruling party in the Senate for the past year and have held a major stake in the decline of our economy. We should do what all the Democrat supporters did to Bush. We should blame Obama for all the problems and resist any democratic change. This is not time to come together and let the democrats have their way, it is time to play partisan politics and block everything they try to pass. I am appalled by the over-joyous citizens of this country that think a man, with little knowledge and experience, like Obama can do anything that will change our country. As I heard on the radio this morning, the USA will soon be changed to the USO because he "WANTS CHANGE and WILL MAKE IT HAPPEN". Just think, the United States of Obama?!?!?!

I call BS on all of it. Everything that we have worked for will be flushed away. I am disappointed to know that our children will have to deal with this country far longer than we will, and they will have to deal with the horrible changes that he makes for our country.

There is one thing that no one has brought up???..analysts say that any governmental change made takes anywhere from 4 to 8 years to start having any sort of affect on our country???.so the Clinton administration should be getting the blame for the sorry state that our country is in???.and he was a Democrat too!

While I did not vote for President elect Obama, I will treat him with far more respect and civility than the far left wing of the Democratic party has treated President Bush over the past 8 years. As a person who served in the military, I find this kind of hateful rhetoric referring to a US President of either political party appalling. I used to tell liberals that between President Bush and Saddam Hussein, President Bush is the one who is on your side. Just a reminder to my fellow conservatives, between Obama and Iranian leaders or Obama and Putin, President elect Obama is the good guy!!!

I will support President elect Obama's policies where I believe he is right and oppose them where I think he is wrong, particularly with respect to taxes. If President elect Obama passes his proposed income tax increases, as a highly compensated employee of a large consulting firm, I will have less financial incentive to be more productive and work longer hours so I will likely work fewer hours. This is especially true if the Democrats succeed in repealing the cap on social security taxes because it becomes more expensive to hire workers.
