i hate the fact that when you tried to say something about obama that was the truth you were considered a racist, our country is in such bad shape that it wont be fixed, the economy will only go one of two ways, and spreading the wealth is not the way to do it. what we need is someone who will be fair to all people, just put a farmer in the white house and i bet you it will get worked out

    • Posted By: neos @ 11/05/2008 11:35:56 AM

What we need and have is someone who will rebuild the middle class. Job opportunity and security is job 1.

i think this is the hard time for Obama to rearrange the state's condition and situation.. before the election threw the result, we before likely to hail him such a multi-talented young man.. but after he's being chosen for the white house host, it wouldn't be the same.
it will be a enormous changes in states, and a really massive strategy to pull out from Republic method of ruling. so, we first have to believe in him.

    market down -138.59 Go Osama08

    • Posted By: Flanders @ 11/05/2008 10:43:15 AM

Yes and the market has been doing so well as of late right? I'm sure our national economic situation has nothing to do with it, but it is all about Obama, or Osama as you write, whoever that is.

Go sit in a dark room for a few days and worry about how bad things will get over the next four years because that will help so much. I enjoy and laugh at the comedy of the idea that we don't control our own lives, but that it is somehow up to only our leaders and president.

  • Posted By: YoungAmer08 @ 11/05/2008 10:42:55 AM

It absolutely sickens me to hear the comments posted here. When did our country sink to this state? When did the word "conservative" become synonymous with "ignorance" and "hate"? This isn't about democrats or republicans. It's not about controlling the guns that most of you probably don't even own. It's about banding together to make our nation the best it can be.

  • Posted By: sieg6529 @ 11/05/2008 9:52:54 AM

So in 4-8 years when Obama has maintained a mixed-market economy, allowed you to keep your precious guns, and preserved good relations with Israel, will will that assuage your fears? Or will you manufacture more evils to demonize the man?

  • Posted By: Saky @ 11/05/2008 9:49:50 AM

The result of this election just goes to show, that if you have enough money , you can buy a president. Osama 08

  • Posted By: Saky @ 11/05/2008 9:46:58 AM

Since we are now a Socialist nation, will they Government be suppling us with our prayer carpets? If so, can someone let me know where I pick mine up?

Reply : In your WORLD. It's once again a fatal error in judgement - world opinion doesn't matter, it's what the real facts are - when you have developed the mental acuity to separate fact from fiction, then I will pay attention. Here is why Brother - there was a time when the whole world believed that the EARTH was flat, but it was never a fact that what the whole world believed was TRUE.

    6. Big Thanks to Hispanic Americans, this overlooked Political Power, overwhelmingly Voted Obama and Afro-Americans will owe them the same Gratitude when a Hispanic Male-Female runs for President, within the next Decade and a Half.

    7. Asian Americans, who will overwhelmingly Vote for Obama as well.

    8. Gay Americans Voted Majority Rule for Obama

    9. Independent Voters.

    10. Agnostic Voters or those Indifferent to Religion ...Voted Obama.

    11. Both Jewish & Muslim Americans also ....Voted for Obama

November The 4th Proved a Day that all these Forces came Together and made...

Barack Obama President For All America....I said All Of America

Obama's Ground Game and Early Voting Process, as well as the days leading up to November the 4th and the Early Votes accrued Proved to be the Greatest Impact for an Obama Win !!!!

Special Mention: Hillary Clinton did a Great Job as well as her Democratic Female Supporters, who once Revolted against Obama, after the Democratic Primaries, that got on board and Voted Obama in the end.

Hillary Clinton's & Obama's Female Supporters Truthfully Attacked & Exploited Sarah Palin as a Fraud.

This was Great, because Joe Biden did'nt have to spend much Time or Effort in Attacking Palin, which would've left Biden open for a Female Political Backlash.

Obama and his Organization are Very, Very, Skilled and well Structured...Indeed.

These are the Reasons why Obama ... WON

America, The Beautiful, America the Multi-Racial, America...

    The Unlimited !!!

McCain Some Politically Slanted News Outlets we're very Presumptous...

Its a New Age in American Politics and this is why Obama Won , because the Population has Shifted and its not what it was 8 years or 20 years ago...

Note: Obama Garnered a large group of White Female Demographic...

Most people won't admit it, but most American Women are [Pro-Choice] an thats a Natural Fact.

Also First Time American Voters and Newly Neutralized Citizens, Voted Obama.

    ----------------------------

    1. keep in mind the Various Groups of Americans an their Indifference to Religion.

    2. Early Voting Proved a Big Winner for Obama.

Note: Obama has one Hell of a Ground Attack !!

    3. The Republican Party Underestimating White America, as not being Receptive, Progressive or ever being Accepting of a Person otherthan a White American running for President of the USA.....

Was the Republican Parties Undoing !!!

    4. College Students of Various Races, came out in Unprecedented Numbers unlike Presidential Campaigns before.

    It Favored Obama !!

    5. The Large Afro American Vote Will be Great, Oppose to the Past !!

Keep in mind since having the right to Vote, Afro-Americans have Voted Overwhelmingly Democrat and for White Male Presidents....

Now White America gets to Vote for an Afro-American Male...

A Great Number Voted for Obama...

The Early Voters Voted for Obama an the Early Vote System, Proved to be an Obama Advantage...

Couple with having a "Hollow Floating Bubble" like Sarah Palin, as John McCain's VP, made it that much Easier a Process in pulling that Lever, the Obama Way !!!

Congratulations America! Thank you President Obama! (I have been waiting 4 years to say that.)

    Where's the halo, Newsweak?

    • Posted By: sharenews @ 11/05/2008 1:39:12 AM

You can only see the halo if you drink the 'rainbow-colored' Obama Kool-aide. LOL.

Seriously, Obama supporters whom I blogged with quite a bit compared to others since the primaries (Nins, Pia, Mark, SJ, and others ) congrats to you with Obamas win. One thing that does come out of this President elect win tonite is a lot of hope and change and I hope that Barack Obama will (now that he will have the job) prove that he can walk the walk and not just talk the talk given his thin background of legislative accomplishments and experience.

      .

Thank you sharenews. Obama will try his best!

I have enjoyed blogging with you as well. I apologize for the times I have offended you.

Great men rise to a challenge. They don't predicate the possibility of success on the merits of the past.

      • Posted By: Vypurr @ 11/05/2008 3:29:16 AM

Funny! LOL! I haven't drank any of that rainbow stuff...

Share, though we haven't posted each other much, I've enjoyed you on the boards here at NW. I'm sure I'll be in and out of here, though probably not as often now. Anyway, once again I've enjoyed reading you!

Okay so the nation wanted "CHANGE".......Just be careful what you ask for because you just might get it!

    • Posted By: marksgershenson @ 11/05/2008 12:41:09 AM

Negativity already, and its not January. Wow chil out amigo.

      • Posted By: Pia1981 @ 11/05/2008 8:05:34 AM

GM Mark! Good to read you.. We missed you on the other article last night. We were up partying until 3;00 am!

      • Posted By: Cliff-N-Cali @ 11/05/2008 2:08:01 AM

Excuse me! What part of the statement is negative? In this regard no one seems to ask the important question......Now that we have the candidate for "CHANGE" in which direction would he like to change the government? Mark my friend I can name a hundred different ways I would like the government to "CHANGE" and a hundred different ways things really could go wrong. No I am not being negative (maybe a little cynical but not negative). I just want people to be aware of what "CHANGE" they might be asking for. Thank you!

What a great day to be an American! By happenstance, I'm traveling outside the US on business at the moment (not to worry, I voted by mail before leaving), but let me tell all of you from firsthand experience that Americans here are holding their heads higher today.
