WHY ARE WE SPENDING SO MUCH MONEY CAMPAINING FOR "PRESIDENT",CONGRESS,GOVERNER AND POLITICS IN GENERSAL WHEN OUR UNITED STATES IS IN DEBT ? < JAS retired and broke >

I agree with you assessment of the networks. I watch CNN at home, MSNBC at an election party and Fox, for a while, when we go home. Hume with Rove is almost unwatchable unless you are a diehard Republican, ditto for Democrats and MSNBC. CNN kept an even tone and very watchable, but think I'm a techno freak. I did enjoy Rove's comment about Al Franken - I'm Al Franken, you're Karl Rove and I hate you. Didn't know Rove had a sense of humor.

All the networks did a fine job last night.......too bad they weren't as unbiased during the campaign portion. Every network broadcast Obama's every step and we seldom saw McCain except when the democrats and the media wanted to exploit a slip. Obama can thank the media for this win! Hold on to your hats or you'll have to share them!

So very sad to see we have become a nation of big babies so that when the going gets tough and we can not hang in till a job is finished we elect a man who is so wet behind the ears and with no experience in defending this great nation militarily , last nights election was the result! The newscastors are all a bunch of opinionated people and it so digusted me I could not stand to watch! Result i went to the internet just to keep up on the latest updates and stats! And for all you liberals so anxious for your change, well hope you like your idol Barack Obama for the next 4 years!

Your assesment of Fox is a very skewed one. I've watched Fox because all other cable & media elites are so biased they have lost the ability to be objective. I think their condescending coverage had a lot to do with the defeat of John McCain and Sarah Palon. All the constant put downs from Sarah's clothing costs & her intellegance being mocked helped to make her a joke. Where was the feminist support for her? She should have been their poster child!!! Never, in all my years of watching Fox ,have I felt that they take pains to show they are smarter then their audience. Your comments, however, do sound like a biased person who is smug, self righteuos & has a lofty sense of his own importance. Kid-get over yourself because in the cosmic scheme of things- you are not "all that". You seemed to have missed the critical thinking skills they are supposed to be teaching in schools....not what to think but how to think. I feel sorry for you-you're just another little puppet amongest a sea of little puppets. They are blind but think they can see. You don't think for yourself and you can't even see it.

I would not discuss a big night, but prior to that Fox contributed to Republican's failure a big deal by playing dirty tricks and being highly biased toward Obama. The level of open animosity was above the board. Fox allowed itself to constantly mock and insult one candidate and praise another. I do not consider this team as professional anymore. It looks very yellow to me now.

If Bush with so much experience has made a mess of America

Given the noticeable biases that was so transparently apparent this year, I have lost all faith in any and all media reporting. Of them all, I have come to have some trust in Fox more than CNN or MSNBC (both which I use to watch on a frequent basis but which I will not any more...). To me, journalists now fall below that of used car salesmen, scum and wallows about even with lawyers and politician (of whom we have just elected...) God Save American because her elected 'servants' sure won't...

Watching Fox news on Election Night After Obama was declared a winner was like watching a Funeral Procession , what a boring night at Fox news....Keep up the good work CNN you deserve the high marks

Fox was terrible. Found I was uanble to even watch it. They seem to be pro republican which is ok but they are a news station and should show no bias! All we want is the news. CNN was the best!

I find this comment hysterical you want to point fingers at FOX for being pro Republican when NBC, CBS, ABC, CNN, MSNBC, all were SOOOOOOOO pro Democrat not only last night but throughout this entire campaign? Really? That's just funny. HA!

I AM PLEASED WITH THE OUTCOME: MY COMMENT IS WHY OUR CANDIDATES ARE SPENDING SO MUCH MONEY CAMPANING? " WITH THE REST OF THE UNITED STATES IN DEPT"? < GO FIGURE HOW WE CAN OFFORD THAT ? >

Despite the right-wingers at Fox and the left-wingers at MSNBC, the AMERICAN PEOPLE spoke and that's the only voice that counts. Instead of continuing this division, in the interest of the country, let's get our act together and support Mr. Obama. Unless whining is your answer to dealing with this country's problems.

Unlike the last 8 years where we had to constantly listen to the liberal media crying.

One network declared McCain the winner in Michigan. 45 minutes later it was given to Obama. It was unbelievable how many states I saw being awarded to candidates with only 2, 3, 7% of precints reporting. They all want to be the first to declare the winner. WHO CARES!

    • Posted By: I'm just sayin' @ 11/05/2008 12:47:26 PM

Tex75 - when you've got multiple channels doing news 24/7, at some point you have to make things up to fill air time. I don't know if it was a race to be first, and it's never a race to be correct, it's just talk for the sake of talk.

I am surprised you didn't mention Queen Couric...especially the accolade she got from a colleague for skewering Gov. Plain in the interview and her very quick "thank you" reply...what a role model for unboased journalism...

  • Posted By: jerzyboy349 @ 11/05/2008 12:46:33 PM

I forgot my very favorite, Joy Behar. News as entertainment. Gee, MA in English from Stony Brook. How very impressive. Why didn't she stay in the classroom corrupting only a few young minds on Long Island each year? Minus 100. Katy Couric: totally unqualified for her position. I can only imagine how she got so far in tv news.. Minus 500.

Gee..surprised you didn't highlight Queen Couric...especially the accolade she got for skewering Sarah Palin and her very thoughtful "thank you" for the comment...a response any unbiased journalist would give...

All the networks have been very biased in their reporting and they try to push their views on the public. Why do they only air what they want you to know instead of investigating all the issues? I

Msnbc is the most biased outlet in the media today. Fox is definitely the most truthful by far, with the most experienced such O'Reily. Keith olberman works a full-time job to do nothing but bash O'reily but truthfully MSNBC is far too radical and way too biased to ever ensure fair or balanced news.

  • Posted By: cbenningfield @ 11/05/2008 12:39:58 PM

You rate Fox behind CNN? But Fox is the number 1. So "assorted bits" you saw really dont line up with the watches.. I wonder you you work for CNN?

  • Posted By: nommy @ 11/05/2008 12:39:14 PM

the networks are all so full of crap especially CNN! Foxnews seemed like the only one looking at the fair side of things! The Media, Newspaper is so bias when it comes to Osama Bin Hilter Obama that the didn't show the real side of things! Just wait after Obama takes away our freedom of speech where are they going to be?
    HA!
