They did what they wanted for their own agenda. HELLO!!! If you watched ANY of the coverage you cannot deny this.

My prayer is that Jesus is watching over us, that He will make Obama a great President, that Obama will show the faith in Jesus that he professes, and that our nation will come together as a Christian nation, that the morals of the nation will improve, and that we all remember that we need to be productive individuals, that there are no rewards for lazy. As for African American, I pray that we are all the same color, as Obama is not black, he is 50% white, was raised white, has Arab and African blood in him. May he rise above the politics, and may God have mercy on us.
diogenes 2008 - Clarify what you mean when you state you want the nation to come together - then you say as a Christian nation... is one of Obama's changes going to be that he makes Jews, atheists, Buddists, etc. change to Christianity? This is America - people worship (or not) as they choose.
TV is out of control. Do we really need so much coverage? Why can't the media wait for all the votes to completely come in from all the states first before they start reporting? How do you think the west coast and Hawaii feels knowing that their vote really didn't matter? I for one think it's all over kill.

msiene - are you kidding? They (particularly CNN) were basically saying last Friday Obama had won. The "predictions" came out as early as pre-Halloween Christmas decorations in stores. I've never seen such media bias as this election had. I knew where every cable employee stood, down to the staff in the mailroom.
I watched CBCN up here in Canada, and CNN and NBC in the picture in picture, but all the facts I went back to CBCN. I don't think that it was better presented or more enthusiastic. I did feel it would be the most accurate considering the weight of the election.
I definitely thought CNN took the best coverage award, although ABC's coverage wasn't bad. If ABC would keep Diane Sawyer and Robin Roberts only on GMA, and off any real news story that would be a plus. ABC's graphics, and numbers were the most up to date and consistent. MSNBC, FOX, NBC and CBS were horrible. And why is it on the biggest media night that could be planned for, there more technical problems, communication and information problems that I have ever seen. Not to mention how nobody seem to find a microphone that could work!!

If I were Obama I would thank the following for my win: CNN, MSNBC, NBC, CBS, SNL and Larry King.
If I were McCain I would thank the following for my loss: CNN, MSNBC, NBC, CBS, SNL and Larry King
IF I was Obama I would thank the American people for my victory and If I was McCain I would thank his political team for his loss. McCain changed during the election and lost his true identity of being a Maverick
The media may have brought change, but its not a change for the better for most Americans.
Fox is the only balanced news left in America. All the other networks should change the acronyms to DNC. I also agree that no network should project wins when there is voting left to be done!! I did not vote for Obama, but I pray that God will be with him and our country during his time in office.
What facts are you referring too?
I didn't watch the news coverage. I'm sick of the one sided media telling us what they want us to know and bending the truth. Should we all start dressing like Johnny Depp with our stupid Che Guevara get ups? Oh, we can get one of those silly little Castro hats too. The talk of censoring talk radio is on the rise again. Next will we be burning books and music in the streets? I'm proud to be an American. I will hold my head up high and ride this out. As for the media, I hope you start doing your jobs and report the news how it actually happens, keep the people informed. Isn't this what journalists are suppose to do?
I felt that CNN had the WORST coverage...it was maddening to see CNN as the only network failing to keep up-to-date electoral votes for the Republican party. (Obama's were continually updated!) I surfed between the networks and witnessed it just to prove my point. Throughout the entire campaign I have seen their bias towards Obama and they proved it once again, through their simple coverage of the electoral vote counter!
No more CNN for me.
Dicuss for Today,,Already all networks are All Over Saying he the First African American, Let Not Forget That He is the First BI-Racial President. His mother and family were whiteamerican , Fathers Side Kenya That make him bi-racial... and already some news cast putting slavory, and black history items, nothing on american war....
i found MSNBC very informative leading up to the election and somewhat during the election coverage. But i must say without reservation that CNN HAD outdone themselves. they were outstanding in presentation and technolgy.Huge performance. MSNBC, you had me glue then but i must say that election night belongs to CNN.
OH BY THE WAY THERE WAS BAD TRANSMISSION FROM MSNBC FROM HALF WAY IN THE COVERAGE.
The final exam.....really? The media (journalism) died during this campaign because they were so slanted left. They so hated Bush they were blinded to the fact that they are suppose to report the news....not make it and not give their personal opinions. That may be the reason Fox news has enjoyed such high ratings. Now, Alston wants to tell us who won the media coverage on election night.....surprise! he thinks CNN won. Wow, I am so shocked that one left slanting publication would pick another left leaning media outlet to be the best. I now wait for the media to tear apart Obama. They built him up, helped him win, but they will get bored. They will start to investigate him during their boredom. I hope that can live with what they find. It was there all the time, but they were so caught up in the hero worship that they just peddled what everyone else was saying. The media, with few exceptions are a bunch of sheep too afraid to report the truth or look for it. Jornalism has lost its way. It may be lost forever. The sad thing is the only loser is the American public and America itself.
I flipped mainly between CNN and MSNBC, occassionally turning to FOX to witness their moments of sadness and to hear their excuses as to why it was not going McCains way. It is so true about the panel of experts that CNN had as to why I viewed them the most during this entire election. MSNBC was a quicker to update with projections and that is what we Obama supporters wanted to see. CNN won hands down though. Sorry Rachel.
Fox News is the only place to get the true facts. Should anyone be able to get the cost of all the give-away programs in Washington they would be amazed. Start with FHA 235 Program--Section 8 Housing--Medicade-SSI-Earned Income Credit(Should be Unearned Income Credit) --WIC Program --Food Stamps--This is a few-----Take the total population of the USA--break it down into Black--White--Other--then apply the percentage to the cost of each program----These are all welfare programs that do not benefit the working class. Thats why everyone wants to be here. The Government will take care of you. Citizens have been taught NOT to work.
Everything is not black and white as you mention in your response. What is the undertone in your message. Who truly benefits from welfare. Surely not the minorities that make of 12 percent of the population. You are not suggesting that?
The media has now become the most partisan of all, very biased throughout the election depending upon which outlet you watched. Journalism has joined the political machine in touting their own agendas. Guess what, Obama will only raise taxes, wait and see.
Biased, Biased, Biased! With the exception of FOX, all the networks gave poor and biased coverage of the election. How is the public going to know the truth about the candidates if the media is twisting it to Obama's advantage? No wonder Obama won - No one heard the truth about his Anti-American actions and lack of foreign policy! I would much rather have the networks report the facts instead of their own liberal opinions!
