Friends don't let friends watch FOX-TV.

The US media establishment stinks to high heaven of corruption, bias, and favoritism. I score them all as a big fat ZERO.

The US media establishment stinks of corruption to high heaven. I score them all zero without exception.

A good summary. I stayed with CNN most of the night, as they had by far the best analysis and slickest graphics. John King's mapping analysis of early county returns in Ohio, Indiana and Virginia compared to 2004 was fascinating and gave a good early indication of the way things were going.

Too many glum faces on Fox.

The BBC's coverage was clunky and disjointed, though it did provide one entertaining moment when John Bolton (former US Ambassador to the UN) sourly insisted that a BBC reporter should be fired for what seemed a fairly innocuous interview with a Republican official.

I agree with your assessment. I am an ex-pat living outside London so I added coverage from the BBC and Sky News (a Fox sister, but strikingly less ideological.). I found myself staying principally on CNN, surfing only during the breaks. I especially wish to commend David Gergen whose comments were insightful and gracious, and obviously moved by Obama's speach. Although I am a lifelong Democrat, I found myself repeatedly impressed by his balanced views of both the politics and the personalities, despite his connection to presidents that were on the other side of the divide..
