I never understand the comments that rant personally at one another page after page. The emotions fly, but little wisdom seems to show up. Why not comment on the ARTICLE?

Fox News' lack of energy on Election Night was pretty obvious. But they've been at a loss the last few months to show any enthusiasm about anything, because they knew what was coming. Their version of America and politics is slipping away from Republican control, and their delight in a one-party Nation of Republicans is done. Fox News will always draw conservative viewers, which is a large on-going audience. And they will always have the biggest ratings, because the Democratic audience has many newscasts to choose from, and gets divided up among them.

Truth be told - more like paranoia be told. You can't even see the forest for the trees. You are so bitter. So paranoid. Stop believing the hype of the far right Republican party. I see the problem - you should stick with gettting your news from Drudge report and Fox News.

Krohn - did you just make up that story about George Soros? So if what you are saying is true, the 64 million people that voted for Obama really voted for McCain and Soros bought the election? I voted, but I didn't get my check from Soros yet. Hmmm, makes me think that your whole story is a load of C.R.A.P.! The people voted. Republicans lost. No conspiracy. No UFO aliens stories. Just plain and simple American Democracy in action. Get over it, your guy lost.

Vk911 - Obama didn't buy this election. The donations that he received were millions of small one's from average Americans. The election proves this point. Millions of people voted for Obama - 64 million to be exact. If everyone of them gave 5 dollars, it adds up to a huge amount of money. Obama broke no laws, and McCain had the same opportunity to do the same thing. If the mdeia manipulated the election, then please explain to me Fox News. The big three networks interviewed both Palin and McCain multiple times. They had every opportunity imaginable to make their case. It is you who needs to reevaluate your comments and your own outlook. Mccain lost. Obama is the president. We are all Americans. Get over it.

The media has missed their opportunity to report on the historical fact that TWO women campaigned for the two highest positions in the US. Senator Hillary Clinton and Govennor Sarah Palin placed themselves at the mercy of the American public and asked America to consider them for President and Vice President of the United States of America. To my disappointment, the entertainment media and news media chose to violate these wonderful role models' human rights and instead of placing a veil over their faces to humiliate, silence and intimidate, they chose the method of broadcasting their faces on tv and insulting them, humilitating them, and abusing them both mentally and emotionally for all to see. Our nation may have come a long way in electing a black MALE president, but we missed a great opportunity to "walk the walk" of displaying women's human rights to the world.

WHATEVER! THE MEDIA FAVORED THE OBAMA CAMP FROM THE VERY START!

  • Posted By: Krohn @ 11/05/2008 9:08:31 PM

George Soros finally got what he wanted! I have a feeling that his influence is going to extend well beyond the campaign stage. Everybody was touting what a great campaign Obama was running. But he wasn't running it. It was running him. With enough money you can buy anything. You can buy extreme order. George Soros is going to continue coddling Obama through his presidency to make him look good. He will likely be in contact with foreign leaders, buying their cooperation and easing their fears. The Democratic take over of congress was probably engineered long in advance. This also makes Obama's job easier and insulates him from the tough issues that presidents have to deal with in terms of senate battles between Republicans and Democrats. George Soros likely bought Obama an Army of advisors to answer any and all questions. Remember Soros is the financial genious that made his money off of the securities markets. He may have even had a hand in crashing the stock market to favor the Democrats just before the election. There is no way that the most unqualified presidential candidate in history got to where he did without such massive help. Some have speculated that after Obama won the Presidency, the media would turn on him and the honeymoon would be over but there is a broader agenda. Soros is buying up all of these newspapers that are endorsing Obama which is an attempt at a Socialist propaganda state. He will likely retain his control over the large media networks as well. What is the price Obama pays for having his ego stoked? An agenda that makes George Soros the grand puppet master of planet Earth!

What had me scratching my head was how Fox "News" kept returning to their vigilence over problems at the polls because of "all the fraud, ACORN..." and such.

Kinda, sorta like all those anonymous smear emails.

I have been disgusted with the biased reporting during the whole campaign showing their support for Obama - the "unbiased" media never gave McCain a chance! Each candidate and running mate had their issues - but I never once saw Joe Biden in a bathing suit, or pictures of their children during difficult times. For Palin a month ago the "unbiased" media reported that "troopergate found Palin guilty", and we never heard another word until the night before the election that "troopergate found her not guilty of using her power" - how convenient. My sympathies go out to the Palin family - but give them the most credit of all in the way they handled the hourly criticism regarding every part of their life - they are a stand up family and I hope that this doesn't ruin her career. Something tells me though that she likes a challege! Maybe this is why the people (without the money and represent American and "get it"), the ones who should be running for the presidency - don't! Why put your family though this hell! Senator McCain and his wife were an open book - about Cindy's past - but the media never questioned Obama about issues such as his "aunt", "previous relationships", "huge donations," providing his medical information, declaring his faith, and the fact that if he doesn't agree with you - he avoids it and revolts. I am curious if he has held his hand over his heart during the Pledge of Allegiance.

I'm scared to think what is now going to happen! Who are the democrats going to blame now with an democratic majority in the Senate and House as well as a democratic President. Many forget that the President and Vice President have more than enough advisors, the Senate and House (who legislate all of our lives - I mean "laws") - the President is really elected to take all of the blame for everything that goes wrong - no one seems to blame the lawmakers for what has happened - what happened to being a team player!

Doesn't matter about experience right - that was the argument regarding Sarah Palin - Ronald Regan was elected president and HE was an actor! He was probably the most successful of all presidents. So that argument goes out the door. Race isn't an issue for me as I would have voted for Powell - because I believe in him and his experience! But knowing that McCain has been through war - I feel deeply that that would be his absolute last result - for those American who worried he'd rush to another war. He has integrity and it is a shame that the media didn't give him a fair contest.

As I could see, the Fox News network was the only station that seemed more fair than the others - kudos for having the guts to step out of the box!

    • Posted By: MeNYou @ 11/05/2008 4:14:55 PM

Faux! Sarah Pinhead was found guilty, guilty guilty BY HER PEERS (although I hate to debase them like that). She was found not guilty by a special three-person panel that she herself had appointed. Perhaps 'fair-and'balanced' Faux Noise will start the outcry for an investigation of how THAT transpired, whaddya think?

      • Posted By: Higgieswife @ 11/05/2008 4:56:28 PM

Wasn't Clinton "impeached" but nothing done about that? How convenient that these things come out during high profile times - but seems to only be one-sided. Media influences the public - no doubt about that! Media influenced the public during past wars - remember those cartoonish monster figures during WWI and WWII - giving the enemy an evil image and not a human face that we would relate to? Propaganda is everywhere - some if funny and some distorted - if you are really honest with yourself you'd see the bias - take off those rose-colored glasses.

        • Posted By: MeNYou @ 11/05/2008 6:46:45 PM

President Clinton, uh, didn't run this time, HiggyChattel. His wife, the former First Lady, who showed impressive grace and class under the venonmous attacks of the Compassionate Conservatives and Jerry Falwell, Evangelical Christian, 'we prefer to tap toes under the bathroom stalls and prey on male pages' types, ran. Dubya is a lame duck with a 27% approval rating. Both houses of congress are solidly Democrat. The House has a Madam Speaker with a mean streak. And you've got a 'colored' President of the United States. Get over it.

The media needs to be asking how the public viewd their coverage of the whole campaign. I believe they deserve a solid "D-". From the often repeated " like a rock star" the coverage has been one sided. It took Hillary pointing out an SNL parody to get some of the media to realize what the world could see, that they had sunk to a new low and were swooning over Barak Obama. I really enjoyed the interactive maps with the projections of red staes vs blue if the candidate did this or this candidate did that. It was really inspiring to watch clips from "the View" being replayed, as if they were real news instead of the useless drible from a group of lightweight airheads that it is.
In short, the coveage was long , drawn out, and pathic. Wonder what CNN is going to do now, now that the election is over? Think they may actualy go back to reporting news? I doupt it. Time to start coverage of the election of 2012.

  • Posted By: MidAmerica1 @ 11/05/2008 7:00:01 PM

Actually I became disenchanted with ALL of the networks, because the bias was so blatant. In addition to the "serious news" stations, SNL, Leno, Letterman, and just about everything that came out of Hollywood favored Obama, and the only negativity was directed at McCain and Palin.

Obama is in the perfect position, because he can blame Bush for anything that goes wrong and take credit for anything that goes right......and the media has his back.

    • Posted By: MeNYou @ 11/05/2008 7:06:57 PM

And why do you think that was? Sarah Pinhead was in line to be an 80-year old heartbeat away from leading this nation. She actually winks; she actually believes that she can see Russia from her deck; she doesn't know who 'her' commanding generals are; she was the mayor of a town of 5000 in BumblePhuck Alaska - and she is, as her own running mate so rightftly and rightfully entitled her, a complete whack job. As for McBush, he is, at best, past his prime.

President-elect Obama is this generation's Robert F. Kennedy. We want one, we need one, and now we have one. Govern, Baby, govern!

What would the 'liberal media' have written if former KGB leader Putin (or 'Vlad', as I like to call him) had 'won' a hotly contested recount election that hinged on strange goings-on in his brother's oblast and a determination by the Supreme Court in a vote decided by a guy who had previously been employed as a lobbyist for a politically connected corporation that was trying to privatize the world's food supply, a corporation that not only puts pesiticdes and fertilizers in genetically-modified foods, but also had purchased a company that sells cancer treatment drugs from the guy who stood in line to become SECDEF of Russia?

ACORN made this a stolen election and the networks and news papers mad this a SELECTED not elected election. We are going down the road to being the U.S.S.A. United Socialist States of America. This whole past year shows that the education system has succeeded in making the public at large stupid. That is the only explanation as to how a socialist / communist can come to power in this once great country.

    • Posted By: MeNYou @ 11/05/2008 6:33:56 PM

Hater, remember when Dubya's campaign alleged that President-elect Gore's campaign was "registering the homeless on the streets of Milwaukee"? First of all, the homeless were American citizens and had a right to vote. Second, the 'liberal media' never bothered to ask why there were homeless in America, and, later, why Wisconsin Governor Tommy Thompson, who apparently bore some political responsibility for all these gazillions of homeless voters, was fit to be appointed as Secretary of Health and Human Services.

    • Posted By: bmoffatt011 @ 11/05/2008 5:31:15 PM

Not one fraudulent vote was cast thru ACORN---get it straight. Just because someone filled out a fraudulent VOTER REGISTRATION card for Mickey Mouse DOES NOT mean that Mickey Mouse showed up to vote. Registration Fraud and Poll Fraud are two very different things. ACORN sticks in the Republican craw because they reach out to minority and poor voters--2 groups they know primarily vote Democratic.

I liked the part where Faux Noise did a week's worth of segments about how a Bonesman (Willaim Donaldson) was in charge of SEC. I liked the part where O'Really risked his unbelievably stellar, awesome, amazing journalistic career to insist that private companies such as Bechtel should not receive no-bid contracts because private companies are exempt from SEC oversight...even if the oversight is provided by a Bonesman.

I believe the media did a great job at brainwashing the American people with their propoganda. Too bad the majority of American people fell for it. I am a college student who resides in the state of CT (D) and I did not vote based on party affiliation, but on who I felt would do a better job at stabilizing the economy and is a better diplomat. A "Junior" Senator does not have the experience to run a country that is in an economic crisis. A "Junior" Senator does not have the experience to deal with issues of foreign policy such as the rise of the sleeping giant to the East or other communist nations such as North Korea. Unfortunately the for me McCain did not prevail. I truly hope that this new President will fulfill the promises that he has made to the American people.. although I highly doubt he will. This country needs to be united ! Just in the 1 day that this man has been titled the "next" President come January, I have never seen the race card thrown out so much! The people who are citizens of this country are AMERICANS. Not white/black/hispanic/oriental.. simply AMERICAN. Why are so many so focused on the newly elected "African-American" president??? and did everyone forget that this man's mother is white??? CORRECTION: He is the FIRST Bi-racial man to win the presidency. People please stop throwing around the race card!!! This card will only destroy our country not build it up. Let's just pray for this country and hope that Obama delivers what he promised.

He did not win because of his experience, accomplishments, wisdom, patriotism....Today, I am ashamed of being an American....I am ashamed of Mr. Obama and will never acknowledge him or that moron Biden as the leaders of my country.
I can say "my country" because I served it. I sacrificed for it and I salute it....Mr. Obama cannot even do that. He is a disgrace.

Tyli you are so ignorant in trying to downplay the significance of an obama presidency. Since the birth of this country being "free" was a call that attracted many people from other part's of the world to come to this place we call home. A home that was built with immigrant's for immigrant's in search of a better life! (unless you however we're born here from the start, which would make you native-american which I highly doubt you are) However up until 1862 "freedom" only meant if you we're white. And even after; african-american's who were "free" would be oppressed for another 100 plus year's. So yes, obama being the 1st BLACK president does mean something. It solidifies this country as truely the land where dream's can become possible. He open's the door for not only other african american's but asian-american's, latino-american's, native-ameriocan's who up until now thought a U.S president of color would NEVER be possible, therefore dashing any chance's of our daughter's and son's being the next leader of this great country of our's. I really cant understand how some people could vote for mccain to run this country when he couldnt even run his own campaign properly! Do you really want to trust a man who picked gov.palin as his running mate? She had more foot-in-mouth moment's than a group of sexually enticed men with fetishes for feet. No doubt mccain is a war hero, which should never be over-looked. But when you want to vote for a man who said the foundation's of our economy is strong only to have the stock market crash 5 day's after, you my friend need to have your head examined. Fox new's try's to build him up as the second comming of thomas jefferson citing how his war credential's should carry him over the top into the presidency. Combat history doesnt help when youh have unemployment rising higher than gas prices. Foreclosures rising over 70% within the last 3 month's with the government running to the aid of these big time coperations with no ampthy to the family who literally has been kicked out of their own (now the government's) home. I know Obama isnt perfect but I'm willing to take a risk with him than have another four year's of bush policies which turned a blind eye to the economy and put the real threat to our country on the back-burner (who attacked us on u.s soil) while we fight this listless war that's going no where fast!
