Amen to diogenes 2008. We were founded as One Nation Under God...not anyone else. Yes, we do have the right to freedom of religion, but that freedom stops when people try to change the basic belief, our Constitution, our National Anthem, and other fundamentals that this great Nation was built on. If they want to change these things, then maybe they should not use our currency which has "In God we trust" on it and go to another country that has the changes already that they believe in. I am not sayiing people need to change and become Christians (but that is what God would want), but they should not try to change the Christians and God fearing people who built this country that gave them the right to practice whatever "religion" they want.

I wanted to say that I could not agree with you more! My prayer has been that yes! liberty and justice for all within the foundations that our fore fathers established based on the Word of God.! Why ? So by being pleasing to Him He could bless the daylights out of His children! Gay marriage, abortion, and all the liberal agendas do not bring a blessing to this most wonderful country that we are so blessed to have citizenship in! We need to get back to the basics! The Bible (basic instructions before leaving earth).

    The liberal media, huh?

ABC ??? owned by Frist , er, I mean, First Amendment rights violating Disney

NBC/CNBC/MSNBC ??? owned by General Electric, one of the world???s largest defense contractors

CBS ??? owned by Viacom, which has run journalism into the ground at the once-proud network

Tribune Company ??? Rumsfeld sat on their board in Chicago; they own lots of radio and TV staions, plus Orlando Sentinel, LA Times, Hoy! (the largest Spanish newspaper), and blackvoice.com, among other things

Rupert Murdoch ??? check out his holdings sometime when O???Really pauses for a breath of fossil-fuel-polluted air

Anyone else notice that the son of a former director of CIA, two SECDEFs, three Chiefs of Staff, three Texass oilmen, and the nation's top (ahem!) diplomat, who was a four-star general and whose son was chairman of FCC, had been in office for nine months before 20 'terrorists' on CIA and FBI watchlists flew Marvin Bush-guarded planes out of Marvin Bush-guarded airports into Marvin Bush-guarded and Skull-and-Bones-owned buildings?

All those that have blamed the Republicans for all YOUR troubles...sorry to say that all eyes will now be on the Dems!!! Who will you blame now. Notice that the majority of votes Obama received was from the BIG cities. The majority of land owners and the backbone of America supported TRUE American values...and voted for just that when they casts their ballots for McCain. Look at the Voting based on Counties...you"ll see this is the TRUTH. I could care less what color skin my President has...or even the Gender. My concern is for the Godly values, ethics, and character. Mr. Obama can't even say the Pledge of Alligence...what does that say about his rebelious character???

I am extemely disappointed in the coverage, even though I was not for John, the media played
a terrible role in this election. The coverage was partial toward OBAMA. The role of the media should
have been to equally inform voters about both parties not just OBAMA. All the networks failed miserably everytime I turned on the tv you heard great things about your profit OBAMA but , clearly
negative comments about mccain,Everyone said this was not about race which is how my family
looked at it. After the victory, Blacks all over were questioned, one network even went as far to ask
a black analyist his feelings,he said he was so excited he could do the elctric slide, and then was
reminded by his co-host that they were white. Extremely disgraceful, suffice it to say the
media should stay away from war time situations where they put our soldiers in harms way and
report negativity about our soldiers, not the good things and stay away from elections, where
    obviously they cannot be impartial.

NBC, CBS and ABC shamelessly promoted the Obama Campaign from the outset. McCain did not have a chance against this propaganda machine.

  • Posted By: Tyli @ 11/05/2008 4:08:59 PM

Powertothepeople- again my "friend" quit playing the race card! We are all Americans and your ignorance is clearly displayed. How dare you question my intellegence! I, as an American, have a right to voice my opinion and say that the race card is clearly being thrown out! You are throwing it around as if it is a ragdoll. You are the ignorant person who eats, sleeps and breathes the race card. I will stand by my vote for McCain and say that "I" felt he was more qualified to be President than a Junior Senator. Do not write snide comments in reference to me because you are the individual who truly needs to be evaluated. People like yourself inhibit this country. Get over the idea that we are no longer living in the past. All individuals living within this country should be considered AMERICAN and only that! You are the reason why this country has racial issues!!!!!!!

It is amazing how Sen. Obama is treated like a rock star by the people who follow him. Does anyone feel concerned by this special treatment? I mean is Sen. Obama Jesus Christ, Buddha, Allah etc. that he accomplished so much during his short life time? If he is neither, then who is he? Why so much attention? I am all for change, but I don???t treat my boss or my friends or anyone that changes throughout my life like a rock star. It is concerning to see the young so infatuated by him. I do not think they really know what they are infatuated about. This really is a concerning moment in time.

There is a word for what is going on, in the Bible. It is called pagan worship! That is where you worship a DUMB IDOL! Idols have no more power than a rock( get it ROCK STAR) So are we as a nation idol worshipers or do we call on the one true God and ask Him to forgive us for being stupid and then humbly ask for His leadrship and guidance. enough said AMEN!!

It's "concerning" to you that young America is actually HOPEFUL about their leader and their government -- this is a BAD thing??? The man inspires hundreds of thousands to stay up late at night to celebrate his win -- what is wrong with America that we think that seeing people being JOYFUL and being PROUD to be American is a bad thing??? Are you considered when you hear laughter too?

      • Posted By: JWelhaus @ 11/05/2008 2:24:16 PM

Being a hopeful and inspiring person doesn't necessarily equate to greatness. Hitler was hopeful and inspiring to his people, but that didn't apparently turn out well now did it? And before you get all upset about the Hitler comment, I'm not comparing Sen. Obama to Hitler, I'm just saying the young tend to be naive. Let???s wait for the guy to actually do something inspiring first rather than praise him for his catchy slogans and inspiring speeches. Get it?

I think that those folks at FOX News were in a complete state of disbelief. They can see that there is a change coming and they don't like it. FOX's entire game plan has been that of being the wedge that divides and they may be wondering wat their futures are.

I also wonder what the late night comedians will use as their fodder now that Obama is president and they are all afraid of making any jokes about him for fear of "appearing racist"....

There's still a lot of material. For example, "Bush screwed up so bad he made it impossible for a white man to run for president." - Chris Rock

Is this Keith Olberman clown for real or is he on for the good humor that he produces? What a waste of airspace that is provided for this knucklehead. This man is scary liberal/left.

You're both right. What we need is a media who conducts themselves in a way that would make our Founding Fathers proud. A media that is truly unbiased and just reports the facts. Not one that is a servant to money. One that truly tries to be fair and balanced.

First he's bi-Racial when he's running, Now he's African American when hwe wins. It's always been about have a "BLACK" president. What a bunch of trickery and deciet, white are so stupid. Obama mobilized the youth of this country through the internet. This generation of youth is the most IRRESPONSIBLE of any in a long time. He got the black vote, a race of people who traditionally live off subsidies. So, we have a President who was elected by the percent of a nation that doesn't work and needs white middle class America in order to survive. AMAZING !!!!

    • Posted By: missmoni @ 11/05/2008 3:58:41 PM

FYI: When one of the parents of a bi-racial child is African American, Bi-racial IS Black. That's how America sees black people. Halle Berry, Tiger Woods, etc...they are black, just like Barack Obama! (YES WE DID!)

    • Posted By: robiboyd @ 11/05/2008 11:58:20 AM

Oh my, aren't you an angry person? I guess you're unaware that there are more white people on welfare than black... Well, now you know. You're amazing!

  • Posted By: jennucat1 @ 11/05/2008 3:57:51 PM

The news media did what it has been doing since day one of the Obomba campaign - fawning over him like he is tne greatest person ever born. The country has voted and it has proven once again that you can sell the public anything. We are at the beginning of the end of a once great country - it has more to do with how this election was run and won than the man himself.

Anyone else know what James A. Baker III, Azurix, Enron, the Everglades, and the Florida 2000 (ahem!) recount have in common?

  • Posted By: journalismfraud @ 11/05/2008 3:53:05 PM

The media should all be ashamed by your lack of real coverage of Obama. They violated the ethics of free press by choosing what to report based on their own personal views. It was not journalism but censorship that the major networks covered this presidential election! Except Fox news which always gave the truth and the differing viewpoints so we could decide for ourselves!
