Whaaaaaaa...... All of our back-biting and divisiveness didn't win it for us this time. We weren't able to STEAL the election this time. The Republican Party is finished...relegated to the trash bin and home for all the crazy religious zealots who have been preventing real PROGRESS in this country for the last 30 years. Get out of the way and watch the new generation run things. Bring on Palin in '12--we'll send her crazy ass back to the icebox for a second time.

Shut up you demon from the pit! you know nothing except you were spoon fed from the media!

The liberal networks have sold the American public a pig in a poke. By not uncovering the truth of who this guy is and what his associations are we are all in a very embarassing postion. The world will ultimately look at this as the undoing of a once great nation. Just so you don't think that these are sour grapes I blame W for not securing the country politically on his watch. Wheather or not H can do int better remains to be seen.

RE: my last three posts...the Gay Old Pedophiles are like, huh? I didn't hear about that on Bill O'Really so it cannot be true. Wonder if O'Really ever mentioned Neil Mallon 'Silverado Savings' Bush and how his company Ignite! is making tens of millions off 'Leave No Child Behind'?

Almost all of the networks except Fox seemed to be quite biased towards Obama and the Democrats. I couldn't even bear to watch the Today Show or Katie Couric one more second while they put down McCain and Palin in favor of Obama. Anything negative about Obama was quickly played down (his racist and Anti-American mentor/preacher, his association with Acorn), but we had to dwell and dwell on Palin's inexperience and clothing allowance. And they seem to have left that arrogant jerk with his foot in his mouth Biden out of all the fuss.

Why doesn't the media just report the news and skip the smear campaigns? MSNBC had nothing respectful to say about McCain/Palin until AFTER the election.

I think Fox outperformed during the entire election process. Talk about Obama spin and it was in evidence throughout the campaign on CNN ond MSNBC. He's in good hands for the next four year's with these networks as his allies. Neutrality was not in their vacabulary or on the map. Too bad, credibility with thinking Americans is out the window. All that being said, may God continue to bless this nation and our newly elected President Obama and guide him in his decision making which will affect all of us.

It's like watching a meeting of Hitler's inner circle without the mustaches

The media has a lot to answer for in so many respects, not just in politics, but in pushing any agenda that they have. THEY are the opium of the people.

  • Posted By: Icebaby9 @ 11/05/2008 3:33:23 PM

I dont find any of the network "fair". There were six candidates running for president, but no coverage of their campaigns. No matter what the presumed outcome, shouldn't they have been covered as much? I mean, if they are going to call themselves fair and non-biased?

  • Posted By: tas0417 @ 11/05/2008 3:31:56 PM

Joshua Alston - do you have your head in the sand? The news coverage for this election was awful. Sure, some of the technology was cool, but the biased media (both ways) really makes it difficult to watch. And what do you mean Rachel Maddow is the cable news person everyone can agree on - are you kidding me? If you are a republican, she is awful. If you are a democrat, you love her. BUT you can't say she is someone everyone can agree on --> she is about as liberal as they come in the media. Her and Keith Olbermann are probably the 2 most liberal people on cable news.

..and not to mention that Andrew Natsios and Andrew Card presided over Bechtel's Big Dig in Boston....Card went on to become Chief of Staff and Natsios went on to USAID, whence he handed out no-bid contracts to Halliburton and -yup - Bechtel...Natsios in now our ambassoador to Sudan, by the way...hmmm...

I am disapointed with the media as a whole. It was very obvious that they were bias for Obama. I live on the west coast and have heard for some time by the media that Obama was going to be the president, so why bother to vote. It is my right as a citizen of the United States to cast my ballet for the canidate I believe is the best (this time that choice was tough) but it is more than a little tiring to hear how all the eastern states have all made the decision for us.

I think that CNN handled it the best and they didn't DECLARE Obams the winner until we closed our polls, but that didn't stop any media outlet from letting us know that is was over.

I know it's not going to happen, but how nice it would be to cast the vote and wait until all votes are counted before the answer is broadcasted.

...and not to mention that Marvin Bush's Stratesec (Securicom) had the security contracts on Dulles airport, United Airlines and the Skull-and-Bones-owned World Trade Centers...and that Atta was stopped at the gate in South Portland before flying over the Family Bush compund's airspace in Kennebunkport...wonder who let him through? Wackenhut? Securitas/Globe Security?

    ONE WORD....... BIASED

I don't know why anyone West of the Mississippi even vote. the election was called before most of our polls were closed. I know everyone is in a hurry to find out who won, but come on give the rest of us a chance.

    • Posted By: slezstak @ 11/05/2008 3:25:24 PM

OH I agree 100% it was a landslide, and we have to give the man a chance. lets just hope he can live up to all of his promises. with out a doubt anything has to be better than the last 8 years. but I can remember a time when the election was not called until all of California's votes were counted. they needed those votes to get 270 votes.

    • Posted By: MeNYou @ 11/05/2008 2:48:37 PM

      ...it's called a landslide..

I somewhat agree. i liked the personalities on MSNBC better. I liked Morning Joe's and Meeka. I loved Chris Matthews and Rachel Maddox. Eugene Robinson always added a related personal story componet. I despised the very obiously biased and bigoted Fox station. I would sometimes turn just to see what their spin on aan issue would be.....I could not stomach it for even two minutes. I'd would often just turn the channel. I give Fox a 2.

Faux News was awesome! I mean, how many times does one get to see a speechless Karl Rove? Truly an historic election! lol

If we're talking about bias...why isn't anyone questioning the FACT that Fox owner Rupert Murdoch, a staunch conservative, created the Fox Network as the "fair and balanced" answer to the liberal media outlets? Does anyone here really believe that Fox is "fair and balanced" with the likes of Reilly and Hannity et al? Or is Fox more palatable, and the others less so, because it caters to your conservative viewpoints? I say folks here really need to examine the media with a scrutinizing but objective set of eyes. Sure you'll find blatant liberalism (MSNBC) but other outlets really do try to be fair and balanced. It's in their best interest to get as many people (ie. more moderate folks) watching their programs so they can sell advertising on it.

You betcha! The fundamentals of the economy are strong. Joe the Plumber is a paradigm of middle-class America. Making those who own 955 of the wealth pay 95% of the taxes is unpatriotic. We shouldn't inject racism into this election just because my opponent is a socialist Muslim naggrah. You betcha! <wink!>

CNN did an absolute great job on a historic night of television. I of course was sad because I wanted Hillary Clinton to win so badly (another historic event), but, I watched all the channels to be fair, but none could compare to CNN. They made us feel as though they cared what we had to listen to. They spoke in conversations, genuinely great 24 hour news channel coverage. I give MSNBC a very bad grade because it was just Matthews trying to butt into the middle of it all. Glad to see him almost gone. Fox was, for me, boring except when Shepard was there. He makes listening fun. I rate CNN a 10, Fox a 7 and MSNBC a 2

As a new era is ushered into American politics I hope the people can accomplish something else. Put an end to the fear and hate mongers that rear they ugly heads for tv ratings. Boycott the Bill O'reilly ,Hannity, and all the other sleaze slingers on Fox TV. Start a movement today that says ENOUGH. Show the world that these hate mongers don't speak for America or Americans. I personally will never turn their channel on in my life.If no one wathes them from this day forward they will cease to exist.

I couldn't agree with you more!!! I feel for anyone who watches and listens to Foxx. They have no idea the hate and fear it is instilling in them! It's cult and hate TV!!!

    • Posted By: peace413 @ 11/05/2008 3:05:26 PM

I couldn't agree with you more!!! It's HATE TV!! It breeds ignorance!! I feel for all those people that watch and listen to their hatred full of lies and scare tactics! They really have some Americans, that are really good people, spewing hatred and fear.
